@lynelmane Nope, a number of her green and purple add ons are too extreme. They greatly reduce a survivor's counter play.
It becomes noticeably harder to juke a Spirit when she has a faster phase walk (there are other good add ons besides a faster phase walk btw).
-
In all fairness, camping is the natural response for killers who can't play well. Or, just getting survivors who are very optimal.
Most of the time killers who are getting rolled will attempt to snowball with a hooked survivor at least once.
This is why I don't understand how DS and BT aren't more common. They are deigned to counter camping and tunneling.
-
I would say a Spirit using strong add ons is overbearing.
Unless someone can show me a comprehensive counter guide, I'll maintain my position that she is somewhat overpowered.
-
The devs have a mixed record with PTB events.
Lately though, they've been pretty good at accepting feedback.
But for the most part, PTBs are meant to test content and make sure it is running smoothly.
-
Sometimes I don't even have to try and I still cut survivors off.
I remember a few matches where I decided to quit a chase, but then I bumped into the survivor a few seconds later.
Ez mind games.
-
This might be the first killer-sided map. Hard to tell though since the map is still new.
-
Considering the devs like Halloween, I would say there's a good shot there will be one this year.

I didnt include the underscore, there were no results for any variation of your name that i tried 😂
Try searching my name + dead by daylight. You should see some results.
-
I knew that map was bad news since the PTB.
-
@BigFudge Make sure you don't type the underscore. That symbol looks like this: _
-
It depends how genuinely good the survivors are.
If they're really good, then yeah, you're screwed.
-
Because I guess that would be too graphic in BHVR's eyes.
Fun fact: In For Honor, Shugoki can actually crush someone's head with his bear hands. Their head actually explodes. It's a GOT reference. Pretty cool if you ask me.
-
I think better map design is the solution.
-
@BigFudge Same as my forum name (except without the underscore)
-
I really only use a mori for dailies or to blow off some steam. Personally, moris are very sweaty imo.
That's why I don't really like them.

Thanks for the advice! Capture card seems like a good way to go
Yes, if you plan on recording PS4 game play, a capture would probably be best.
I actually have some DbD footage on my own YouTube channel, in case you want to know what capture card quality looks like.
Good luck with your channel btw.
-
Huntress can protect me anytime ...
-
Professor Oak, is that you?
-
If you have a decent PC, then you can record your games on a capture card (elgato capture card for example).
This will give you more power to edit your footage. Also, the capture card software is user friendly.
Hope this helps.
P.S. capture cards are around $100-150

That raid was a complete joke. And I'm sure this one will be too.
-
Getting Haddonfield as the map.
-
Survivors have a number of really good perks. It's hard to say which one is best.
-
Not sure honestly.
I think you can pip against a Spirit if you really have the desire. Could be really hard tho.
Some people quit because they think the match is a waste of time (and sometimes it is).
-
Good.
-
Killers that immediately go after the same survivor deserve to get D-striked.
But survivors who had the opportunity to safely move away from the hook do not deserve a free escape. If you put yourself in harms way after having the chance to get away safely, then you should not get the benefit of DS.
-
I'm not really terrible at anything with regard to DbD.
I can play all the killers reasonably well. Although, Doc is probably my weakest killer.
And I can play survivor at rank 1 level, which includes looping.
-
Thank you for allowing me to point out the balance issues with this game, such a SWF and map design.
I appreciate your blessing.
-
Just so you know, Leatherface is the weakest killer in the game.
As for builds:
Ruin, BBQ, Enduring, and Spirit Fury if you want to try and win normally.
Iron Grasp, Agitation, Mad Grit, and Insidious if you want to have some real fun.
-
Why would they nerf Demo?
He's in a good spot right now.
-
Playing killer against sweaty survivors is a chore.
-
Jeff mains rise up!
-
She shouldn't be able to see moving grass/corn.
Perhaps even remove survivor collision so she can't feel out where survivors are at.
On the flip side, the devs could increase Spirit's auditory perception allowing Spirit to track more effectively by sound.
-
Honestly, if the devs would just focus on updating the old maps, then that would go a long way in fixing the game's core issues.
-
How many hours have you played?
-
You think you had problems?
*cries in Jeff main*
-
If the devs spent some time and reworked the maps with over-powered loops, then killers might actually stand a chance against optimal survivors. Meaning, killers would have greater control over chases, thus, allowing them to keep pressure on survivors.
-
It varies honestly.
Overall though, I consider myself a killer main. Definitely the more satisfying role imo.
That said, I play survivor a lot too, so I understand both roles very well.
-
@Atrushan88 I haven't read about how the new status effect impacts OOO. I'll have to check it out.
-
@blue4zion said:
They're strong loops, not infinites.
Neither should exist in the game.
And yet, I still see people making light of the current situation by referencing how bad it was in the old days. Like that somehow is supposed to pardon all the broken loops we have in present day DbD.
-
Adding a chainsaw timer won't stop me from insidious camping with LF.
I lie in wait at the bottom of the basement stairs for some poor survivor to come down and try to rescue their friend.
-
This is why the game has such toxicity problems. Each side trying to anger the other side more.
In all honesty, it sounds like you got matched with a nasty group of survivors. It happens unfortunately.
Since you were playing Spirit, you probably could have won if you kept your cool.
But even still, I don't think it's worth trying to out-toxic the other side. If you get matched with a SWF commando team, just play normally as best you can. If you win, then savor your victory. If not, just move on. Hopefully, one day map design and crutch perks won't be around to prop up bully squads.
-
Hopefully, they tone it down in the near future. But then again, look how long it took the devs to nerf DS. So who knows?
Also @Mochan I agree that OOO is actually pretty rare. But it is an annoying and toxic perk to use. Imagine playing Wraith or Pig and having most of the survivors know where you are all the time. OOO is irksome no matter who the killer is really.
The only time it back fires is if the killer is a Nurse.
-
As survivor, I definitely insist on being in red ranks. Facing veteran killers and having decent teammates is very important to me.
As killer, I've started to become less picky. Sure, facing against red ranks survivors is more rewarding, but of course there are the head aches. So i don't know, maybe rank 4-8 is the sweet spot.
-
60 seconds of pick-up immunity isn't really an anti tunnel protection.
There should be some extra conditional factors that limit DS. No reason to penalize a killer's momentum all because of one perk safe-guarding everyone for 60 seconds.
-
I knew Infectious Fright was going to be a nasty perk on Nurse as soon as I saw it lol.
-
Nah.
I think being able to negate one hit is great. Very useful in many circumstances.
-
Survivors don't need to bring a thing. The map design should be more than enough to help you win.
That said, sometimes I'll bring in a brown medkit or toolbox. That's just enough for one full heal or one full generator. Yellow medkits and toolboxes are good too.
Anything else is over kill imo.
-
Probably Clown because of his laugh and knife twirl.
-
Nah, Nurse has add ons that can really put the hurtin' on survivors.
Spirit I agree is an unfair killer, but there are worse setups you can play against lol.
-
I'm an avid Spine Chill user, but I'm not sure if the new status effect interferes with it.
If so, it should be changed.
Spine Chill is supposed to counter stealth abilities.
