Don't be so sure. There's still no guarantee the devs will go through with all of the changes.
If my suspicion is right, there will be a lot of criticism directed towards the devs after the PTB hits.
-
Some of us have been playing Nurse 2-3 years. We already know what these changes will entail.
-
There should be no cooldown at all. That's an asinine idea.
The whole point of Nurse is to be hyperaggressive. That's what gives her a unique identity and makes her fun to play.
If the devs wanted to give Nurse a little extra counter play, they should have given her an extra second of fatigue time. Combine that with better map design and everything would have been peachy.
But nope, once again the devs have shown they don't understand red ranks.
-
Nurse mains right now:
-
You're supposed to blink spam because the Nurse only moves at 97% movement speed.
What the devs have done is made Nurse extremely difficult to play.
-
@Mr_K We could at least push for a postponement on the base kit change. This crap they have in mind now will destroy the Nurse.
-
@Mr_K I don't think I'll ever trust BHVR again after this fiasco. It's obvious the devs have no clue how Nurse is played in high ranks.
-
Agreed. We can live with the add on changes for now, but base kit needs to be left alone. It's clear the devs have no clue how the Nurse is played in high ranks.
-
I would rather face a Nurse than a Spirit honestly.
And if the devs go through with these changes to Nurse, it's a safe bet that Spirit will be next on the chopping block.
-
For the most part, her new add ons are quite trashy. Some of them definitely need to be changed imo.
What really shocked me was her base kit change. The first time I skimmed the patch notes, I missed the part about her base kit change. After reading it, I realized this change is way more than a small tweak.
-
There's really no way you can sugar coat it. The devs have royally screwed over the Nurse. Surely they must have known that Nurse is a highly aggressive killer?
-
I think the devs forgot that Nurse has a 97% movement speed.
-
I just read the changes. Some of them are pretty trashy. C'mon devs, you can do better than that.
-
I have a perfect meme in mind for this. Just wish I knew how to edit videos.
-
Red rank is already 90% Spirit though?
-
Let's see what the devs have in store first. Who knows, they might actually change Nurse for the better.
-
I'm willing to compromise with the people who want Nurse nerfed. Keep in mind, many of them want her removed or heavily reworked.
As long as the devs keep their word and implement only small tweaks to her base kit, everything should be okay I think.
-
I'm all for removing broken setups from the game, but the devs really need to address map design as well.
Map design is arguably the main reason this game is not balanced.
-
Nurse + Billy/Leatherface. At the end of a chain blink, instead of using your main weapon to get a normal M1 strike, you hit the survivor with a chainsaw instead.
-
I could live without them honestly.

how do you reach rank 1 if you dnt sweat? time?
I usually try to put forth enough effort to get a pip. When you have played for as long as I have, it's not that hard to get a pip.
Of course, some people will go to extremes in order to win.

what rank are you or does rank not matter to you?
Rank 1 survivor and killer at the moment.
All I know is both sides are sweaty as hell.
-
Damn, I laughed.
Just in case you are serious, the biggest thing with survivor is looking behind you when you run.

what if you're trying to get the close hatch 50 times achievement?
Then close the hatch. I've been playing for a long time and 4ks just don't mean that much to me anymore.
-
Not at all. Both sides are just as sweaty as ever. Pretty sad actually.
-
Most of the time, no.
I prefer hooking the third survivor and giving the last one a chance to escape.
Wasting time by slugging the third survivor is really sweaty imo.
-
An offering that lets you get hooked an extra time might be cool.
-
Iron Grasp, Agitation, Mad Grit, and Insidious. Become the camper Bubba was always meant to be.
-
Devs need to get rid of all the unfair crap in this game, or create a separate mode for ranked play.
-
Like most issues that affect killers, I don't expect a speedy response from the devs.
They have shown themselves to be rather obtuse when it comes to killer hardships.
-
In my experience you can't really counter a Spirit's tracking once the player becomes good enough.
All you can do is make tracking more difficult and hope the Spirit misjudges a few of her phase shifts.
-
You want to nerf NOED?
Break all five totems.
-
At this point, I want the devs to give solo survivor some buffs.
Even though as a killer main I recognize how such buffs could makes our lives more miserable. I still don't care.
I'd rather have tougher games as killer, but be able to play survivor whenever I want and not be miserable.
Having said that, if the devs give solo survivors buffs, they need to finally crack down on this garbage map design.

Tiering up as michael stunned you for 30 seconds lol
Oh God, don't even get me started. It wasn't all bad though. Those of us who didn't have a PC finally got to play DbD, which was pretty fun.
-
Great, now I'll have new chase music to listen to when I get downed in 20 seconds.
-
I haven't seen anyone come up with a reliable guide for countering Spirit. And we probably never will.
Spirit is so dominate in chases because she can track survivors, but survivors can't track her.
All you can do is make it as hard as possible for a Spirit to track you, and hope that the Spirit misjudges some of her phases.
-
I remember how DbD was on console back in June of 2017. The game would actually give you head aches.
-
Adrenaline is very strong when used by a skilled survivor.
-
I like the dev team as individuals very much, but I do agree they've handled this game rather poorly.
I think the devs would be better off improving the content we have so far.
-
I have never been in denial about camping or tunneling.
I'm well aware that nearly every killer will camp/tunnel at some point in a match.
-
As long as they don't go overboard with the base kit nerf, I think Nurse will be okay.
Even though I main Nurse, I'm willing to compromise with the devs a little because I realize the perception Nurse has in the community.
-
Clown is decent if you play him properly (not the easiest killer to play imo).
But that's part of why I don't like him so much (even though I think his character design is great).
Unlike other killers, he's a bit trickier to play but only gets mediocre results. Just not worth it imo.
Also, a lot of people find him pretty boring to play. And I can understand why they think that.
-
As a Jeff main, I am duty bound to rescue all Lauries who are in danger with my divine power.
-
What can I say, I just enjoy the killer role more.
-
If teammates weren't so unreliable, I would have said yes.
-
In my experience, it's really hard to avoid the Spirit when she can track you but you can't track her.
-
My only main qualm with red rank survivors is their use of broken loops.
When survivors have 2000+ hours invested in the game, they tend to know how to abuse maps really well. Those survivors are not fun to play against because all they are doing is taking advantage of bad map design.
Keep in mind, I'm not trying to detract from their looping skills. Some of those survivors are genuinely good, as such, they should be hard to catch. But when you add their looping skills to really strong loops, that's when all the fun immediately vanishes.
-
I just wanted to let everyone know that jordirex is one of the best Huntress players out there. I have seen his killer game play and it's insane.
He truly understands the killer side of this game.
And for the most part, his list is quite accurate. Especially the top tier section of the list.

He like billy capitalizes off of mistakes, and honestly I've been pipping with him consistently at rank one so I don't really see the problem yet, but any killer that isn't spirit or nurse gets looped
You can't capitalize off of mistakes with Leatherface, not unless they really screw up (which rarely happens).
Also, survivors don't necessarily have to screw up on their own for Billy to catch them. Billy can play certain mind games that LF can't.

Still gotta say Wraith is the worst, but agree to disagree
At least Wraith can score a free hit on survivors. Plus, his windstorm add-ons can cut off certain loops.
Leatherface has nothing helpful like that. You will not get to use your chainsaw against good survivors because they know the looping routes too well.
All you can do is hook someone and try to snowball off that. Sorry, but that's a very weak killer imo.
Unless of course your main priority is camping.
