I consider the nurse nerf a blatant pander for casual players who aren't even retained players they do impluse buys though.
That's certainly possible.
To me, this nerf shows a lack of understanding about Nurse. Not to mention, it reinforces the norm that the devs cater to survivor mains.

Spirits getting nerfed get over it
I'll admit I dislike Spirit, but isn't odd that only the high tier killers seem to be getting the big nerfs?
What about SWF with voice comms?
Or, perks like Object of Obsession?
Or, broken maps like Haddonfield? (which is almost as old as the Nurse).
One could infer that there is favoritism going on here.

"######### no one asked for."
No dear, it's just ######### you in particular aren't asking for. Plenty of people want her nerfed.
Unfortunately, the devs only considered input from one side of the community.
The devs were out of line with the base kit nerf.
-
In light of recent events, I would say Nurse mains have been treated the worst.
-
Julie's new skin makes me rise if you catch my drift.
-
A nerf to Nurse's base kit power isn't what people wanted either. But we all know how the devs do things.
-
I think the biggest thing that would help is to redesign some of the maps to make it easier to juke.
-
That would be too strong. For now, just chase out the survivors.
-
Nurse and Spirit are still on top I think. Unfortunately, Nurse had her aggressiveness capped by the devs, so you have to play her extremely well now in order to succeed (and even then survivors can still gen rush to win).
So for the average killer, Spirit is probably your go-to anti loop killer.
-
It's mostly due to the fact that survivors have an inherit advantage in this game.
So your match mostly boils down to which survivors you get (skilled or not skilled).
-
The devs were out of line with this nerf. They only considered input from one side of the community.
Anyone who is a serious Nurse main knows that having to wait twice is unfun.
But what can you do? The devs have shown where their priorities lie.
-
Spirit requires no mechanical skill. So, she's automatically easier than Nurse, Billy, and Huntress in that regard.
The only difficult thing about Spirit is learning how to track and predict properly. It's not exactly easy, but it isn't super difficult either.
For the amount of power Spirit has, she is relatively easy to play against most survivors.
-
There are legitimate balance issues on both sides. Typically, unfair setups tend to be unfun.
It's important to keep that in mind. Just because someone says something is unfun doesn't mean they're complaining without just cause.
-
My first reaction when I saw this skin:
-
Not anymore. Julie left her twisting in the wind.
-
Me. I play both sides in red ranks.
-
Playing pre-nerf Nurse.
-
At least you admitted that Spirit is more annoying than Nurse. Thank you.
-
I don't really hate going against any of the survivors. None of them rub me the wrong way.
Killer on the other hand? Definitely Hag or Spirit.
99% of the Hags I have played against tried to snow ball off of every freaking hook. Sorry, but that's a terribly boring way to play from a survivor's perspective.
And then there's Spirit. What can I say other than it's no fun being downed really fast by a sweaty Spirit. I've been playing against them at rank 1 for a while now and the results are still mostly the same. I'll take Nurse over Spirit any day.

The puddles are equally effective at killing loops as a Clown's bottle. The difference between the 2 is that your likely to be effected by the cloud sooner, and able to realize you wont make another loop which allows you to make the better educated decision to throw down the pallet and leave the loop. With the change making pallets less safe to loop, but at the same time more plentiful... Ppl are still holding onto the habits of looping each pallet as long as they can, even when they shouldnt... The puddles are giving the Freddy hits each time a survivor midjudges its effectiveness and loops something they shouldnt have.
Yes, survivor is more fun when you can utilize loops as much as possible. I'm all for anti loop powers, I just want them to be more skill based.
Freddy can literally chase a survivor and spam blood pools at every loop. There's no mechanical skill or advanced planning involved. If the blood pools had a slight cool down (like the clown reloading) then he would be more fun to play against. That's how I see it as well as many of the rank 1 survivors I talk to in chat see it.
-
Only time I slug one of the last two survivors is if I still need a BBQ stack. And once I get it, I don't usually slug after that.
It's more fun to give the last survivor a chance to escape.
-
It's funny because I've started using Unbreakable along side DS lol.
-
The devs have little experience when it comes to playing Nurse at rank 1.

Why not? They take a second or two to arm, they barely slow Survivors down, they are touchy on where they can be placed, and they do nothing if Survivors stay awake.
Why possible reason could there be to reduce how many he can have out?
It seems a little mindless imo. Those blood pools are rather effective at shortening loops. Seems a bit much to allow Freddy to trap every loop easily.
With that said, I don't know how you change Freddy's power. I'm just sharing my experience as someone who plays a lot of survivor.
-
As a Nurse main, she makes sense to me.
I understand the concept of using map design to your advantage.
Now, if the Nurse is using overpowered add-ons then that's just unlucky.
-
I have to concur. I don't think Freddy should be able to spam blood pools but that's just me.
-
Playing killer is like going to work, whereas playing survivor is like going on vacation.
-
As killer, I respond based on how sweaty the survivors are playing. If the survivors play sweaty, then I play sweaty.
Now if the survivors are chill (or not that good), then I'll be very nice. I might even let one or two escape.
That's usually how I play killer.
-
Unless I have a mori daily.

The way I see it even if your ######### at chases atleast make up for it by being useful I hate teammates that don't do the objective
That's nice, but any decent killer is just going to steam roll the weak links in the group. By not being good in chases, you're liable to get killed quickly, which basically dooms the rest of the team.
If the team is lucky however, there might be one or two god-tier survivors who can keep the killer busy long enough for gens to get done. But of course you have to be lucky enough to get matched with twitch streamers.
-
You don't need IW to counter slugging.
-
If you suck in chases, then that pretty much makes you a bad survivor.

Me too๐

I would say fix all the survivor-sided maps first. And later on if gens are still being completed too fast, then I would say tinker with the gen repair values.
-
Oh, I have no doubt Spirit will get nerfed. The survivor mains have spoken.
-
@Boosted_Dwight I'm sorry to see that๐ข
But I hope you are able to get the game soon๐
In the mean time, you might consider planning out your character with the character builder. That way when you do get the game, you'll be able to jump right in knowing what your character will be like.

I am also excited for it. Just more patient than most. I'll wait for it to come to Steam before I get it.
Understandable. Making the game unavailable at release on Steam was a douche move.

She is not that great if people choose not to cleanse.

Not interested in that.
That's okay. I saw that a number of people were excited by this so I thought I would mention it.
Still, TOW I think is still worth getting even if it's not on Steam yet๐

Maybe, there's a reason I got back to playing DBD after a couple of months hiatus. It's because I got sucked into the void that is Fallout 4's Modding Community ๐
Oh, I hear you on that one. I almost got sucked into the Skyrim modding community.

Maybe when it pops up on Steam.
I believe you can get it for PC with Xbox Battle Pass.

I know Obsibian's a safe bet that it will be a very good game, it's just that I don't know if I will spend the time to play it.
Maybe I'll consider it if I see it on Sale, but right now I'm not that interested in it. Maybe it's because Fallout 4 burned me out of playing RPG games.
Fallout 4 honestly wasn't a particularly good role playing game. But I understand your point.
Does that mean you're going to miss out on Cyberpunk 2077 as well?

I don't know, something about The Outer Worlds doesn't click with me. I don't feel too interested in it.
Well, considering that Obsidian made the game, you know the role playing elements will be very good.
Also, I've been playing around with a beta version character builder. There are many awesome ways to build your character. I'm going to be playing a super soldier (who is very powerful in combat) mixed with maxed out Science and Engineering skills. Of course, there are a lot of different areas to specialize in as well.
As long as the story, characters, and quests don't suck, it's a safe bet TOW will be a very good game.
-
It's too late for me to play anyway. I'll be busy with another game.
-
@DelsKibara said:
I can't say I'm that terribly excited, despite being a fan of F:NV.
Oh? Why is that?
-
If those players are bothering you so badly just play Nurse and nuke them.
-
@Ark_the_Bonsai My thoughts exactly!
-
Probably good ol' Southern-style collard greens.
Helps to get the bowels moving as well.
-
Used to watch?
A lot of the shows I'm seeing being talked about are still fun to watch.
