Is it that important for you to escape through the hatch and "win?"Just have fun man. Don't worry about winning or losing as much. Save your fellow survivors. You are a team, regardless if you think otherwise.
i need to remind myself of this.

Survivor gets significantly more points than killer(assuming they actually escape) so no one wants to play killer right now. Besides, half the people playing right now aren't getting points cause the event is bugged. This was not my experience at all. I get around 27 points a game on killer, was averaging maybe 12 as survivor. Too many DC's by both killers and survivors. All the killers are camping and tunneling. Heck, I even had a hard camper running an eboni mori! WTH is that?!
Staying with killer. Trapper is doing just fine. Just need a few more points for the one outfit I want. Then can let survivors collect all they want in my matches.
THIS EVENT IN A NUTSHELL

You still get more points towards the coin as survivor for an "unsucessful" game than you do as a killer with a successful game. If you get downed right away and camped, Prem and Spine Chill lets you know when the killer is approaching. WoO also will help if you're weak in loops. Killers are more likely to leave you if you waste too much time. Just avoid being the first one down and run around covered in fire flies for a while, getting gens done as you go. c: You'll get plenty of points towards a coin, even if you don't make it out.So solution is to not do anything until you see that the killer is already in the middle of chasing someone else?
Not even close to what I said. What you do highly depends on what you're having troubles with and where you skills lie. If you're weak with looping and routing, I would suggest practicing. If you're just being tunneled, work on a gen with a friend. There's a 50/50 chance the killer won't chase you if your routing is decent. I suggested prem/spine chill as you may know if the killer is approaching to start running for a safe area to loop/hide. You'll also know if the killer sees you (SC) or what direction they're coming from (Prem). There's other perks that can help you a lot. For instance, bond/empathy can show you if someone is running the killer around and if they're accidentally bringing the killer to you so that you can hide and wait for them to pass.
I'm not weak in looping, in fact I usually loop them for my team to get 2-3 gens.I play solo survivor so maybe that is the issue.
I play solo survivor and often have the killer peeling off me after a few chases. I would suggest also using tactics to gain distance and sneak away such as sneaking back through a window when LOS is broken, etc. Bond can be helpful when looking for teammates to be on gens with, though you risk the killer going after a weaker runner if with an ally that may be a weak runner.
Thanks man,I appreciate the friendly advice.

If people would talk fact instead of out their back end this would be much more different.Unlike the other comments, ima try to be civil.I play equal amount of survivors as I do killer and I have both of them at rank 1(Not that rank means anything LOL).Just sucks that killers camp and tunnel,it's not a fun experience for the survivor, nor the killer.I know someone made the joke about survivors having second chance perks, but if you get tunneled and camped, whats the point then?Might as well hide the whole game and not try to get anything done.
The response that got all this started was in regards to the OP referencing the event and how it seems survivor sided (in regards to how much easier it is to gain event points)
When AdanAR replied
"Like I said in other post, it's for the event dude. Killer mains become somewhat idiots in these days and becomes more tunnelers and stupid af. It's so boring to play with these kind of dudes but you can't do anything that juking better and go to other match"
The reply had nothing at all to with the OP post and was raging at the FACT that from a killers perspective trying to gain event points was not POSSIBLE to gain at the same rate as survivor.
Killers are using annoying yet valid tactics in order to try to get as many event points as possible as quickly as possible. Though tactics like tunneling and camping are annoying they will die down once this event is over.
Do you play survivor as well?If so do you enjoy the tunneling and looping?

I made the OP.I will agree that they give survivors an easier time with the event objective, just saying that survivors shouldn't be punished for the devs not balancing that out.

Solo player
Wait for 5 minutes
Get into lobbyGet dodged because killer assumes we're SWF
Wait for 7 minutes

Get dodged because killer assumes we're SWF
Wait for 4 minutes
Get into lobby with 3 others
1 survivor leaves
Lobby is now glitched at 3 survivors and no one can joinThis is ridiculous. I thought an event would boost the population but apparently people have left and aren't coming back. I can only assume it's a population problem because the devs haven't mentioned any matchmaking issues or even addressed this at all.
Just play killer, all you gotta do is tunnel and camp from what I have seen.

It's for the event dude. Events makes killers incredibly stupid and sweaty af. (like if they were paid for it, it's ridiculous) And all are running Franklin's (pathetic). I have my keys in case of emergency and i lost some 'cause of that idiot perk. Also teammates are so dumb too, nobody's does gens.Events don't make killers stupid and sweaty. You should try gaining coin progress as the killer, I guarantee you wont try more than once because its near impossible to get more that 15-17 points per game at rank 1 as everyone is usually very efficient making games too quick and much more difficult for killer to gain event progression. A stealthy survivor can easily gain 45 points per game. Less so if the survivor is a moron.
You want to play Dead By Daylight as a toxic cry baby survivor? That's fine, as it is YOU need KILLERS to even be able to play. Grow up and open your eyes to the reality, not your lazy 5 second perception of why killers do what they do during events.
Nice copy and paste.

I'll tell you the same thing I told the other guy frustrated with playing a survivor. Try playing killer for a while if survivor is too frustrating. If that is too frustrating then perhaps this isn't the game for you.I play both survivor and killer, that won't change the fact that tunneling and camping is boring and frustrating to deal with.

Is anyone else skipping, ignoring, or just generally not trying to get the event tokens?I personally don't really care, the outfits are okay, the dress for Feng is about the only one I would really want, but that's it. I just can't be bothered, not to mention, just like the Blight event the skins are not exclusive and can be bought with actual money, so the DEVs get a quick buck and I get a nice-ish outfit. When year round, there are better skins constantly available and being released, what makes these special?
Why bother?
Any convincing reasons to not skip? (And do note the word convincing)CON·VINC·ING -
Capable of causing someone to believe that something is true or real.'Just making that part clear. Some people don't seem to get that.
Im about to skip it.So many insecure killers camping and tunneling,it's driving me insane.Wish kiler mains got good and actually learned how to play this game.

It's a small one but still:
The new map will have second floor (like The Game for example)
They're working on chapter XII btw so this could mean that it'll be licensed because licence has to be bought early
Rather them fix their ######### game before releasing new content.
-
Easy.Make the transition 4 seconds instead of the full 7.Tweak the add ons so they don't greatly reduce the transition. In order to get out of the dream world you need to injure yourself, making you go to an injured state. To balance this out you get no notification when they snap out of the dream world.Lastly, remove the slightly reduced movement speed penalty from the red paint brush add on.

Literally change hex totems so they don't spawn but you place were you want them to be better hiding spots no matter what every game. Also the "improved totem placements" didn't do ######### every game my totem ends up on the other side of the map where survivors spawn and it gets destroyed in a minute.I've been getting better totem placements recently, instead of getting destroyed in the first 5 seconds now it can last a full minute.

if i see this perk gets buffed all survivor will play against alot of myersDoesn't change the fact that no one uses this perk,it's only used for myers and only for a specific build.

Perhaps Vigil could be tweaked so that you also recover Exhaustion while running? It might be a good tradeoff since the survivor will have one less perk slot.In addition, I'd still like to see Open-Handed increase the range of Vigil, Leader, Streetwise, etc.
I would love this change, make this perk usable again since now it is bottom tier.

The Pig and Freddy. They both are fun to play.
