60 million players? SMH, game is dying!

🤣🤣🤣🤣 All jokes aside I really hope this next half of the year will be great. I don’t even mean content. Just quality of life stuff for the game, bugs, solo queue help, continued killer QOL map fixes etc

  • Most of mine go through too. Some of them I feel like just disappear to the ether lol

  • I agree. There even worse on borgo. I have a hard time seeing where they went. :/

As the title says. It's too short that the Doc can just spam spam and spam.

He's too op in his current state. Not only can he spam it, he can find us so much more quickly due to static blast, his illusions. I feel there really isn't any counters to him. You can't hide cause of the illusions and static blast, and then you can't really loop cause of the shock therapy. But right now I think shock therapy really needs a longer cooldown. I play Doc a lot and it's fine playing him but even I feel he's too much.

    He’s far from OP.

  • As a killer main, no 👎

    It doesn’t need a nerf.

Sounds like your slugging too much?

do you have any valid way to proof that or is that just an empty statement mend to start an us vs them

You said this perfectly my friend..I’m not sure why people make post like this. Good grief.

For sure, at least he is on their radar. They will dework him to make him right, then rework him lol….but yes he is the second to the last picked. Hag is last. lol

  • Billy is in a good spot right now, he doesn't need to be touched truthfully.

  • I agree. Replace them with a bot, then of course the following dc penalty.

  • This is also true… to be fair. Chase one survivor, hook them, chase another survivor hook them, go back to the survivor that you know is healing under the hook 🪝 “he’s tunneling me!”

I actually don't think I agree with your premise. There was significantly high amounts of camping and tunneling back then, honestly probably even more than today.

From what I have see I would agree, old gameplay, videos, friends playing years ago, also wasn’t BT not a thing back then as a base kit. If that’s true tunneling would be that much easier especially since the anti camp mechanic also isn’t in place.

I wasn’t around at that time of course so I am not sure but that’s what’s going through my head when I think about this.

I'd say about the same on Sadako. I tend to try and make most my hits be post teleport TV hits from catching them out of position. Rarely will I just chase as an m1 unless they are out positioned or at an unsafe loop. It's more often hit, teleport, hit, teleport. Unless I get a 3+ condemn ping then it's teleport, teleport, teleport. Or I'll prematurely break chase if I can see someone going for a tape drop off/pick up and I want to cut if off.

Most Sadakos I see don't teleport enough and generally are just using it to get around the map. That's a mistake.

I agree. This is how I play. 🥰

  • @Blueberry said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3712815#Comment_3712815

I agree. Most people are too hard on themselves. If you can prevent the hit for at least 30 seconds+ that's a good run for your team.

When do you try to leave chase?

With Sadako I leave chase if I don’t take a resource, hit or condemn stack in 10-15 seconds. I make them come to me.

When I play plague though. Different story. I love her but I suck at her lol

  • Ahhh okay gotcha. I feel like if I am hitting bloodlust it’s because the game thinks the chase lasting too long so it’s trying to help you end it

  • @Blueberry said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3712799#Comment_3712799

Yeah I would say anything longer than 25 seconds for a chase is losing the killer the game. Which, generally you're spending almost half that entire max time just holding w to catch up in order to start attempting to play a loop. This is before we even get into Exhaustion perks, pre drops, body blocks, DS, loops with forced pallet breaks ect.

Would you say the average survivor thinks 25 seconds max is a good/fair chase time? I would say most would say not, which is where the issue I feel lies. What they typically want isn't realistic.

I agree. I think 25 second chase is average. Anything past 30 seconds is decent. 40+ is good.

  • @TheArbiter said:

I mean you could argue that by looking at bloodlust, that kinda tells you how long the game thinks you should go before getting a hit, if you hit bloodlust 1 twice in a chase, then that chase lasted a little over 30 seconds, 50 seconds for bloodlust 2, and 70 for bloodlust 3.

This is confusing. If you hit bloodlust once in chase you mean, it was a 30 second chase?

Why would I hit bloodlust 1 twice instead of just going to tier 2?

Although this is good to keep in mind if I can make sense of what you mean

Completely agree with you. Keeping her lullaby and making it map-wide is the best course of action. 2nd best is making the Clump of Hair add-on also change her lullaby, ideally by making it map-wide.

It's pretty much this why I want to raise this thread.

BHVR are listening more than they have in the past, they obviously don't blindly go along with whatever we say, but they are at least listening... the walk back on the Pig in conjunctions with her buff, the Clown rework was good (would you believe I actually like Clown now! I was wrong when I said he was weak), and Huntress changes to leave them overall in a better place was something I have to applaud them for (though Huntress was questionable). Doctors QoL improvement was also undeniably good.

Hillbilly was an absolute triumph... and what all of these reworks had in common was a guiding purpose, a particular idea fundamental to the killer playerbase that was realised. Pig had her macro game in tact, Clown had his anti loop power kept in tact, Doctor is no longer add-on dependent, Huntress is also freed up alot on her add-ons, Hillbilly is throwing out his chainsaw like the madman he always was without a care in the world.

So even if our suggestions weren't put in place, having a guiding idea made these reworks all a triumpth... and Sadako isn't quite there, but she isn't far away, a couple of stones thrown for her, and she's got it.

So if we can at least define some goals for a rework, even if what we suggest might not come to fruition, something with the right principles in mind should hopefully make Twins a Billy, not a Trickster.

    I agree 💯 ☺️☺️

The directional lullaby effect she has is a bug specific to her. And my idea is to keep her lullaby the same(hopefully with the exception of the directional bug), but have it behave differently so that she'd have a little more stealth capabilities that start off strong and slowly gets worse over time. It'd essentially be a way to balance out her early game and late game strengths because at the beginning of the trial she'd have no strength from her Condemn, but she'll have strength with her stealth and as the game progresses her stealth strength weakens because her Condemn strength is increasing.

No, thank you. Sadako has gone through enough complicated changes I would prefer not to add to it with this. I see your idea and I don’t think it’s bad but the devs made something so simple and well done in her first version than over complicated the other 2 reworks into what she is today. It was no needed.

The stealth just needs 0 directional lullaby and they need to make it much much larger or map wide so survivors don’t know when your sneaking up on them. They just prerun now and that’s the biggest issue.

Perunning on a stealth killer = bad design

  • Thank you for your post ❤️

The lullaby is a unique noise lore accurate to the movies, but it should be map wide. That way they don’t know where you’re coming from and it shouldn’t be directional. I thought lullaby’s weren’t suppose to be directional yet she is the exception.

they need to address this along with the many other negatives with her. Very flawed rework for sure when they designed it recently.

  • I wouldn’t say twins or skull merchant is overpowered. B tier at best.

The recall “bug” is going to be an issue when they take it away. She needs that in her kit. There’s plenty of counter play so respectfully let’s not pretend there isn’t.

  • @Venusa said:

Most of BHVR's "reworks" are flops I'm sorry.

They end up having to rework the "reworks".

Skull Merchant is still atrocious . Onryo is awful you either stomp or get stomped. Blight was about to be disastrous but they finally decided to listen to feedback on that one after the PTB. Twins PTB was so bad that they didn't even end up going through with it which I appreciate.

But at some point it's like how do they mess up everytime? Like didn't they have the vision to see that Twins PTB would be disliked so much and that it has the most obvious design flaws?

So at this point idek what I want because I know BHVR would screw it up to make sure it's the most unfun thing ever.😭

The only thing is it would be nice to find a way to not make slugging the only viable strategy for them.

sad but true. If every rework was as good as Billy’s that would be a dream

  • I don’t, but if you want my attention you got it. When I kill the survivor using Ds offensively they complain I tunneled them…🤷🏼‍♂️

  • @ChaosWam said:

I've played Sadako since release and I'll only talk about her current iteration.

If you enjoy M1 killers, she's fine. Her slowdown still exists to a degree and she can avoid being bodyblocked in some cases with demanifest and can catch some survivors off guard with her intermittent visibility post-manifest.

But, as of now, you can negate her stealth with the visual heartbeat monitor since it shows lullabies and Sadako's demanifest has one, not to mention it's a directional audio lullaby. Her power is easy to deny and keep under control if survivors spend the extra few seconds to do too, I have matches where I often have no TVs to teleport to because one or two survivors run about turning them all off but this is map dependent to some degree. Her intermittent invisibility is also something survivors can adapt to at loops so mindgames aren't always going to help. I also noticed BHVR or perhaps the new engine update changed her TV spawn logic on some maps, making some TV locations even worse to teleport to (Under piano room on Midwich for example, at the reception desk so you'd need to break 3 walls to get to the generator above when the TV used to be in the bathroom right next to the room) while swamp maps still place some TVs at the edges of the map facing the outer walls. Very frustrating to say the least.

That said, she has more power expression than some would assume. Tall walls and aura reading perks are a great combination with her manifest (her blurry photo addon that makes survivors who witness your manifest scream and reveal their aura for 3 seconds for example is, in my opinion, sorely underrated) and the ability to ignore pallet/locker stuns while demanifested means you can time your demanifest in some situations to break pallets faster or avoid being bullied. When you do have TVs, you have the advantage of them having a shorter cooldown when teleported to, and if you can figure out if a survivor is ignoring them or a gen, teleport to a few other TVs then to theirs to punish them with more condemned. They also made it where hooking a survivor locks 3 condemned stacks max per hook, meaning anyone on death hook could potentially have up to 6 un-cleansable condemned stacks. There are other niche scenarios as well, like how I recently learned double Iridescent Sadako is actually really great for information since the remote shows survivors within 12 meters of a TV for 6 seconds (I think 6 seconds off the top of my head) while Iridescent Tape removes condemned per teleport and slaps a 20% increase in TV cooldowns when survivors take tapes in favor of TVs not turning off when you teleport.

That said, if you don't enjoy the M1 game with mindgames, you may not enjoy Sadako since she relies on M1 and mindgames for downs. I wouldn't call her weak, but she's not as strong as Wraith. Somewhere above Freddy and Myers and below Wraith and Singularity in my opinion.

    I would agree for sure

  • The Onyrō is my main because we are both dead inside. I feel comfortable playing as her.

  • I’ll do you one better. I’ll teach you 1 on 1. DM. I’ll be happy to help you ❤️

glad I don't play anymore. too boring. I am going to be patient and wait for her 3rd rework which hopefully makes condemn and passive phasing equally relevant without either one of them over-showing one another.

Agreeed my friend. It’ll happen for sure. Too many negatives right now for them to just leave her as is.

    “But I do….and I am sorry…..it wont stop.”

It's so significant on the bugged duration. Like .88 is almost half what the duration is supposed to be, that's a lot.

mhmmmm - it’s horrible. What’s worse is that’s. It even the strongest part of her power, it barely trips people up at all because of the directional lullaby but it’s better than nothing I guess when they fix it.

is it out of sync or is it duration of invisibility bugged? those two are different problems. If it is out of sync, it means you can phase mid-way invisibility. that becomes confusing for killer player but you can adapt to that.

It’s both. It’s completely out of sync the longer it goes on and the duration is WAY off. It’s suppose to be 1.2 basekit.

It’s 0.88 bugged right now. With reikos watch Addon it’s 0.97

    So badddddddd

  • @Blueberry said:

Better than people think, but still very bad. Against bad players that ignore her counter play or have no idea what they’re doing, which is a good bit of people, she’ll do good. However, we can say that about any killer. She also requires a lot more skill to do well with now than people realize. Many people that don’t play her think you just spam teleports and get free condemns, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Her skill ceiling is deceptively high.

Against actually good survivors she’s trash though. Her counter play is way, way too easy with little you can do yourself to prevent it even if you know what they’re doing. She would need significant buffs to actually be called “good”. She also has multiple very significant bugs affecting her currently that are quite significant related to her passive phasing.

“Most” the Sadako community agrees she’s quite bad and have been patiently hoping the devs finally throw her some buffs again to make her viable and more enjoyable to play after the complete gutting they did to her on her last patch which left her in a pitiful state.

Her passive phasing is nearly useless and not even worthy of being called anti loop. Her stealth is non existent since she has a “lullaby” that tells them you’re there anyway and it’s directional. Her condemn is basically never happening unless the survivors let it as you have nearly zero control over preventing their stack removal anymore. Zero punishment for holding tapes now. They get locked in stacks per hook of a max of three but is basically irrelevant because by the time you lock in any significant amount they’re dead on hook anyway making the entire feature counter intuitive. Condemn has to be done at 1 hook or less or the condemn becomes irrelevant. The vast majority of her addons are also garbage. Turning off TVs is way too easy now because not only can they hear them but they show their auras removing any skill required to turn off your power. Also seeing those TV auras removes all surprise from teleport cut offs since they see exactly where you’re going to come from before you even do it, give a global sound queue that you’re doing it AND it’s directional. Her teleport is decent but then it’s also controlled completely by the survivors and they can turn that off heavily. Killers don’t like when survivors control their power and get to dictate whether they get to use it or not.

Just so, so, so many negatives, features that don’t function how they should, and easy survivor counter play with little you can do to counter play it yourself. She was bad at literally everything but condemning and then her condemn was nerfed badly too leaving nothing to replace its current pitiful state.

I’m a P100 Sadako and yeah I hate to say it but blueberry is right. :(

Sadako definitely still needs help. She has A LOT of negatives to her. Way too many if you ask me.

I just roll with it anyways in my own frustration due to my passion and love for the 🇯🇵 Japanese Franchise.

    She needs help.

I don't know how I feel about Sadako having no lullaby.

It's annoying and negates a lot of the stealth potential. However an on demand stealth with no cool down or drawbacks on top of a map wide teleport and built in slow down might be a little much.

She needs to keep it but it needs to be map wide and not directional audio as well.

  • Agreed! “The lullaby is alright, its just not really thought through. ”

I also agree on the first part too!

You CAN sneak up on survivors. Even on good ones.

“This though, not so much. Doesn’t happen often at all” even when I do maneuver behind walls and objects. They just hear where I am coming from and where.

  • @TWiXT said:

Onryo and Dredge, The Former has a Lullaby Radius, and the Latter Has a Directional Audio Queue Whenever either uses their Power.

This alone is bad enough, hell, in Onryo's case, it's also something that people can notice immediately if they activate the Visual TR effect. Regardless, neither of these things belong on any killer that can achieve the UNDETECTABLE status through their BASE KIT! Seriously! Who the hell thought "This killer can go into a stealth mode, so lets give them something that actively tells the survivors: "HEY! I'M IN STEALTH MODE, SO PLEASE ACT LIKE I'M NOT AROUND!"

I have lived with these grievances for long enough, and I say the fix is simple:

    1. Remove Onryo's Lullaby.
    2. At the very LEAST make the Ambient Screams/Cries when Dredge goes into Nightfall OMNIDIRECTIONAL instead of directional.

Onryo's Lullaby NEVER made sense to me. She's already one of the noisiest killers in the game, so having her ANNOUNCE her presence when she goes into "Stealth" mode is not only stupid, it's down right AGGRAVATINGLY COUNTERINTUITIVE to her kit. Hell, It's so bad that killer players have adopted equipping PERKS that grant Undetectable because, while her kit "Technically" grants undetectable status when she De-manifests, Going with a Perk Granted undetectable status actually allows her to sneak up on survivors, as it gives them no "lullaby" warning! LET THAT SINK IN!

Killer Players are CHOOSING a Perks Undetectable OVER THE BASE KIT because it gives survivors LESS WARNING! Seriously Devs… I thought you LEARNED a thing or two from the GF PTB wherein you gave him a similar warning sound when he went into stealth mode, and unanimously the community were against it. I think the community said it best when they stated that it was "Like shouting at the survivors: I'M IN STEALTH OVER HERE, PLEASE DON'T LOOK AT ME!"

As for the Dredge. Honestly Aside from the map dependent RNG Locker problem, Dredge is great! Except for that one, tiny, annoying detail wherein when Nightfall occurs, every survivor with decent ears within 24m can immediately pinpoint where he is because the ambient screaming sounds directionally emanate from his exact position!

SERIOULY? FFS, Just give him the Huntress/Freddy Treatment and make that noise Omni-Directional Already! Dredge already "GLOWS" when within that range in Nightfall, so does he, arguably the 2nd loudest killer in the game, really need an ambient noise that directionally tells all survivors exactly where he's coming from? Even worse… AGAIN, he's supposed to be in the "Undetectable" state whenever Nightfall activates. ######### DEVS? You are literally taking the "Jump" out of the "Scare" he's supposed to represent!

I know I'm giving you all a lot of grief here, and some of it may sound very mean spirited, but please hear me out… I'm always thinking about the "why" of your design whenever you make your perk and kit decisions, but for the life of me, I can't understand the reasoning behind these choices regarding these two killers. Survivor players are good, and even if new, they learn fast, so what was the thinking behind these frankly bizarre choices for "stealth" killers like Dredge and Onryo? I'd honestly like to know.

All I'm Saying is that if you're gonna give a killer a Base kit Stealth/Undetectable ability, you damn well better make them stealthy! Is that too much to ask for?

Thank you for this post! Sadakos Lullaby is a unique sound but it shouldn’t be made so obvious for all to hear and see.

They also need to remove the directional audio cue that it comes with because apparently it’s by design. 😭😭

I wouldn't be against her stealth being mapwide.

Increases paranoia and if they kept it directional, then you still won't know how close she is in that direction especially with her demanifest invisibility range. Would be a neat twist to the general stealth roster.

For the video, going left instead of right would have given you a chance to round back to the pallet, but you would need to see that he was going the opposite way that he was.

For in general, the Clown can get a hit against something like 70-90% of dropped pallets. Basically only god pallets and standing pallets protect you. That also means modern map design (only unsafe pallets like farm teepee + 2 wooden crates) give Clowns free wins for days. Clown is beaten by good macro-game, splitting apart, not dropping un-safe pallets to juice 1 more loop, and taking advantage of pallet fast vaults. The gas converts window vaults from .5s fast vaults into .9s medium vaults, but pallets remain at the .5s fast speed. If you force the clown to kick the pallet, then you at least can make it to another pallet.

Edit: Also play Clown yourself. Clown players learn which vaults can and can't be made when affected by yellow and purple gas, so you can know to leave early if a Clown only gets a yellow+purple hit and they are still prepping the yellow. Playing Clown is like relearning all common tile timings, just like you have to re-learn 110 Killers to M1 at simple loops compared to 115.

I realize that too when I rewatch the video, I should’ve went left instead of right through the window, but I was trying to slightly avoid that gas, and I think my brain decided to take the window instead 🤣
