Why did you add Spirit and especially Blight to 2v8 before other earlier Killers? Why not add Doctor or Freddy (This one for you Freddy main) or Oni or Myers or Pig or Demogorgon literally way more fairer options then these two annoyances.
Cant wait till Devs reveal the buffs they get is Basekit Cherry Blossoms for Spirit and 3 more Rushes for Blight
Finally only 3 new killers is to little you can add 2 more at least we got 30+ killers the lack of Variety is gonna make 2v8 boring still
To be fair they did say they are starting small. Bhvr wants to make sure they get it right, and part of that is not adding in too much. We get got extra maps, survivors get extra tools at their disposal and we still get 3 more killers at least.
Its going to be fun! I am looking forward to this!

Yep. I don't understand how can Plague and Cenobite be greater priorities than Freddy, when neither of them have been in need of a rework for years.
I completely agree with your recent post, btw, Freddy should take priority. It is unacceptable that he has been left to rot for such a long time.
Thank you for your words :)

This is so disheartening. Freddy was the first killer I ever played and he has a special place in the DBD part of my brain. I always find myself going back to Freddy. I really really hope the lateness of the rework is because they're taking their time with it to get it right.
I hope so. They have a bad reputation though for reworks.

GOD - I am so so sorry my friend. Nobody should have to wait this long to play a license character that is already in DBD. Its just crazy. Push back the tweaks for plague and cenobite. Freddy needs to be on the list ASAP NOW SHARP.

0 cooldown tp+near 33% bigger radius+1 stack of condemn. Sadako needs total re-balancing. She needs to be weaker on double story maps and stronger in ALL other maps.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3810604#Comment_3810604
her condemn is spammy and it’s boring, cursed tapes aren’t cursed and mean nothing.
On day 1 of her rework, i literally said 3.0 sadako is mindless spamming. people said that this version would take more skill to play and i said complete opposite that this version is low form of skill that Sadako has ever had.
She’s not in a good spot.
cursed tapes aren’t cursed and mean nothing. They can be held onto with no punishment. Tape interactions are the fastest killer interaction in the game all while sucking at chase as a killer.
said that on day 1. all changes for Sadako are pure-hand holding changes. the irony is that even with all hand-holding changes, people still manage to lose to this bad pure m1 killer with a teleport. The player that are bad didn't get better vs Sadako ability. they still just lose anyway. All it is now for killer is that killer is unfun to play. super annoying. ughhhh
One day she'll become good again? right?
"One day she'll become good again? right?"

Flashbangs need to be created, it takes time. Lightborn doesn't require the killer to do anything, it's just there, readily and infinitely available.
You have to use an entire perk slot to make it happen. Its not for free.

The old versions of her were just oppressive and annoying. She was only played to farm free kills. Now, she has to work for it like other killers do.
She is fine imo.

-
The only changed I would make is that if a killer picks up against a wall, it shouldn't blind the killer just because the survivor gets no collision. Then again, I don't like dealing with flashlights and flashbangs, so I just use Lightborne. It makes my games so much less stressful.

The killer gets a loud noise notification and can immediately head back to hook and scour the nearby area or follow blood trails to find an injured survivor (most of the time there is no time to heal against a tunneller, which means half of the chase is already "won") and knock them down again, which also isn't too hard since maps are getting smaller and loops are getting weaker. At that point, as you correctly pointed out, the only defence survivors have are a select few perks that they can bring just to counter this exact scenario or, even more unlikely, their soloq teammates brought perks that protect them.
Tunnelling is by far the easiest way to win but very hard to counter unless you dedicate your entire perk build around it
Edit. Forgot to mention that the killer doesn't need to give up a single perk slot for this. So in that sense tunneling is also completely free.
Hear me out…
"The killer gets a loud noise notification and can immediately head back to hook and scour the nearby area or follow blood trails to find an injured survivor"
So? If walk my butt all the way back there and you are anywhere nearby the hook. I WILL be going for you. Especially if nobody else is injured in that moment. Its the smart thing to do. Also, you're not taking into effect healing perks and medkits. If you have that you will be healed by the time the killer gets back.
" (most of the time there is no time to heal against a tunneller, which means half of the chase is already "won") "
This is false. Perks like We'll make it, botany with empathic connection, medkits etc make it very duable to heal very fast.
"which also isn't too hard since maps are getting smaller and loops are getting weaker."
Haddonfield, one of the coldwinds, and midwitch are the only maps I feel that are killer sided….There are still PLENTY of maps that favor Survivors, so that's not a good excuse either. Crotus Prenn, All 5+ Badhams, The Game, Eyerie of Crows, Autohaven, Macmilian, one of the Yamamoka's Estates, aliens map and I am sure I am missing 1 or some.
" At that point, as you correctly pointed out, the only defense survivors have are a select few perks that they can bring just to counter this exact scenario or, even more unlikely, their soloq teammates brought perks that protect them"
That's on them. As much tunneling that does go on in this game imagine survivors out of 4 not bringing at least 1 perk to help with tunneling. You have plenty of options as I mentioned. BT, BS, OTR, basekit-BT, We'll make it, BOTY, literally any other healing perk, medkits, septics, DH, DS. If soloq isnt reliable to help out in this regard, than use perks for yourself to prevent this which is also an option. There is a good chance the killer will drop chase on you if you have a perk to protect yourself. Is it guaranteed? No.
"Tunnelling is by far the easiest way to win but very hard to counter unless you dedicate your entire perk build around it"
I disagree. Tunnel the wrong person and the gens are done… Your team should be on gens while the looping is in place wasting time.
"Forgot to mention that the killer doesn't need to give up a single perk slot for this. So in that sense tunneling is also completely free."
Ill play devil's advocate. Lets say if the killer tunnels its free. Then the first gen done before the killer can get a down on someone in chase is a Free Gen. The killer should get base kit corrupt intervention. Oh god no, of course not? Why? Why not…..The survivor's more often then not get to SPAWN directly on the Gens. Their objectives. We could scrap that entire idea and let the killer also get to spawn directly on the survivor to make it fair. However, of course this wouldn't be fair either.
Point being. It's not free. Gens take time. Finding a survivor if you don't have lethal takes time. Then you have to chase them, get a hit, chase them again, hope it'll be quick before they make another loop, then down them, then pick them up, IF you don't get blinded or flash banged, after that you gotta find the hook and walk your fat butt over to it to make it happen. This ALL takes time.
None of its free. Hope this makes sense.
-
Sadly more often than not the Reworks done are pretty bad. I am happy they are willing to fix it when they see it but more often than not it takes way too long to make the changes needed.
-
Killer Perspective - Onyro
Father for I have sinned. Often I promise a survivor that I will let them go, we even go on an adventure together! We find treasureeeeee, we get some bones, we destroy some woooooood and then finally we find hatch! I of course use a TV to get to hatch more often then not…..but then……suddenly…They just start flickering with so much static….there is a buzzing in my ear…I am sorry to say but as the survivor's eye meets my eye…..they're dead? Opps…the end.

I love Oni for Console but yeah. He should be more friendly to play as on Console for sure. 180 flick is neat and all but for us console users its not fun. lol

@Hex_Ignored said:
Something needs to be done about tunneling and it needs to something other than a perk. Tunneling is way too free as of now.
This is just silly. "Tunneling is way too free as of now." There is nothing free about it. You have to chase them 6 times, down them multiple times still and hook them. That's IF they don't have DS, Off the record, borrowed time on them or the huge buff to baby sitter….
So no, tunneling isn't close to "Free"

I mean if you want to miss my point entirely and interpret my post as a personal attack for whatever reason then go for it I guess?
Your issue should be with how her lullaby is implemented, not the accessibility feature. It's honestly not that hard to hear it if you know what you're looking for. I don't use the VTR at all and it's still easy to hear Onryo coming.
I didn’t miss anything. You threw assumptions out, I simply corrected you. Don’t back down now because I simply drew a line.
I don’t disagree with the OG post.
My issue with her lullaby is that at 24 meters away you don’t really hear it at all which is great!
Most people won’t…however the VTR pops up immediately, so if it wasn’t in your awareness then, it will be now. That’s my issue. I don’t use VTR either and I would agree. I can hear her coming, unless if the gen is really pumping or other external noises but again the element of surprise is gone with the VTR.
-
All the sudden she is too “strong” and needs a nerf because you saw her posted on the roadmap and this is your first post. Convenient and not convincing.
Plagues strong, she’s not OP. She doesn’t need a nerf. Her aura Iri Addon might be a little overturned but that’s about it. -

It's not abused, you're just upset that Onryo has a lullaby.
I don't think it's fair to target your frustrations at an accessibility feature when it's a specific balancing feature of the killer you main that's causing it. It wouldn't be an issue at all if she didn't have a Lullaby as big as her TR.
You’re wrong. I’m not upset at all actually. I don’t mind her lullaby and I find it quite unique. It’s the literal sound from the movies. How could I not love it!?
Thank you for the assumption though - I don’t agree with how it’s a directional lullaby…I also don’t like how bad her stealth is.What’s not fair is for you to assume how I am feeling and try to torch me for it instead of trying to understand where I am coming from. 🤷🏼♂️
I had already mentioned I don’t care how it’s implemented as long as it doesn’t take away from normal gameplay. -

VTR turns sadakos lullaby from an easily missed background noise that gives her a measure of stealth into a visual siren you cannot possibly miss.
Like there's a reason everyone uses it. It gives you a tiny hair of advantage. Finding that annoying doesn't mean somebody has a torch out for deaf people, it just means it's annoying.
My thoughts exactly….

@ReverseVelocity said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3808922#Comment_3808922
You're supposed to get a noise notification BEFORE you see the skill check.
Deaf people are essentially playing with 5 stacks of Huntress Lullaby at all times, and that shouldn't be the case. This is a relatively simple accessibility feature that should've been in the game ages ago.
Also it's already a thing on mobile, because these things are only considered with any sort of urgency when they affect abled people for some reason.
I don't care if its introduced to the game and I am fine with it, as long as its not a mechanic that can be abused. The VTR is already horribly abused and I am not a fan personally.

Dredge needs to get its kit reworked,I'm glad they're experimenting on new mechanics, adding lockers into a killer's power and the "night" shadow power are all cool and all, but Dredge is just extremely boring to play againist & defeats the existing mechanics of the game. No heart beat / no terror radius, how am I supposed to know I'm being chased while having my vision reduced? Might as well just wait to die at this point.
He’s easy to counter. Run windows. You’ll always know where to go. You can see his highlighted gray aura a mile away come towards you.
Dredge isn’t the issue.

If I were a developer of this game, I would create a skill check screen notification for deaf users
They didn't even know there was a skill check notification sound in the first place, so no one complained
I dont think this is necessary. They're deaf, not blind. You can see when the skillcheck pops up. Its a interesting idea though. I think people would abuse this though, they already abuse the VTR.

@Blutengel said:
No, no, and no. This mistake has already been made before, and we know exactly what happens afterward.
The Twins are already one of the least played killers in the game because they are incredibly hard to master yet offer minimal reward against competent teams. Despite their difficulty, you're choosing to nerf them, just like what happened with Hillbilly. And what was the result? A significant number of players, including myself, left. History is repeating itself.
I've been playing The Twins for a while now, and while their gameplay allows for strong slugging potential, that's what makes them unique. Why does the game have to become so structured, predictable, and linear? Slugging is one of their main strengths, and removing that feels like you're stripping away the very essence of their playstyle. Other killers have mechanics that are equally as oppressive—Myers in Tier 3, Blight, Nurse, and yes, even Hillbilly before his nerf. These killers also specialize in certain oppressive mechanics, yet you're choosing to nerf the least-picked killer instead of addressing more prevalent ones. This is illogical and unfair.
The Twins are like Hillbilly in that they have a high skill ceiling. They don't play like other killers, making them more difficult to pick up and master. Players who commit to The Twins spend a lot of time honing their skills on a killer that doesn’t even deliver the same value as someone like Nurse. She's already underplayed, so what’s going to happen when you nerf her? She’ll likely never be picked again, and you'll lose the small group of dedicated Twins mains still out there.
I've tested the changes in the PTB and live servers, and let me tell you, there’s already plenty of counterplay to The Twins. For example, one of the simplest strategies is to sit in a locker while Victor is chasing you if you're far from Charlotte. Another easy tactic is to hold Victor on you and not crush him, forcing Charlotte to play as a basic M1 killer. If players end up fully injured, it's usually because they’ve made a mistake and need to learn how to play against her mechanics. There’s no need to "fix" things that aren’t broken.
Meanwhile, Nurse, who utterly dominates your game, remains untouched. She doesn’t have to deal with nearly as many limitations as other killers, yet she’s still at the top of the tier list. Why is the focus on nerfing a killer like The Twins, who already struggle for viability, instead of balancing overpowered killers like Nurse? It's time to prioritize where balance changes are truly needed rather than weakening already underperforming characters.
" And what was the result? A significant number of players, including myself, left. History is repeating itself. ""
This is false. Might be true for you though."
However I do agree personally, I dont feel twins should be getting nerfed. I understand trying to change the slugging components to all of this but I dont feel the goal of this was really achieved. Twins needs a proper rework. The one we got after waiting a couple years was awful. If all reworks were as good as Billy, killers would be much better off.

However, the survivor side of things aren't as happy with the changes and I've seen quite a few claiming that Nemesis is now too oppressive in chase and/or has become a boring killer. Recently as well, I've had several people DC while I was playing Nemesis. I wasn't being toxic, tunneling or using an obnoxious build. Just something standard while my zombies have for the most part been very useful. I want to know more on the issue from the survivor side of things.

Killer: The Grudge
Role: Dual Killer (Kayako & Toshio)
Kayako's Mechanics:
Power: "Death's Embrace"
- Crawling Mechanic: Kayako can crawl at a slower speed, creating an unsettling atmosphere. While in this state, she can navigate through windows and obstacles, surprising survivors who may think they're safe.
- Death Rattle Noise: When Kayako is nearby or actively stalking a survivor, she emits a chilling death rattle sound that grows louder as she gets closer. This noise serves as both a warning and a psychological deterrent, instilling fear.
- Hair Strangulation: Kayako can use her hair to attack survivors, dealing damage from a distance. This attack can have a short cooldown but can catch survivors off-guard if they aren’t careful.
Toshio's Mechanics:
Power: "Cat’s Whimsy"
- Meow Distraction: Toshio can let out a loud meow that draws Kayako closer to his location. This ability can confuse survivors, making them unsure of whether to approach or flee. The sound can also briefly stun nearby survivors, giving Kayako an opportunity to close in.
- Cursed Companion: When Toshio is within a certain range of a survivor, he can mark them with a "Cursed Bond." Marked survivors experience heightened fear effects, making skill checks more difficult and causing them to see visions of Kayako.
I main Sadako. I would main her too. That would be fun.
Sadako still needs some help. I hope they make changes to her again down the road. Hopefully bhvr doesn’t make us wait 4 years xD

The only hand holding I don't like is that Survivors get to see auras of TV's now, there is directional audio to the tv and a visual static to show where it is. How many indicators does a survivor need. As far as M1 goes. No issues here unless its crummy maps that still need to be adjusted
