so why are we not hitting the survivor thats unhooking? you do know thats also an option.
-
you'd be surprised at the amount of randoms that will come to you for a heal, if you're using another healing perk along with it, you can very quickly turn an otherwise scared, corner hugging random into one that actually pursues gens.

It's because, for the most part, the Dredge is a pretty underwhelming Killer. He has a really cool aesthetic and whatnot but none of that matters if your power is mediocre or bad. His anti-loop is horribly lacking as the remnant he leaves behind can be so easily countered that in most scenarios it isn't worth using. His teleport is pretty decent except for the fact that it's incredibly RNG dependent. Sometimes you'll get lockers right next to gens and other times you'll get whole sections of maps where there isn't a single Locker. And his nightfall, while a really nice ability on paper is hurt by the fact that it takes a really long time to activate and when in motion is gone quickly meaning he is heavily reliant on addons like malthinkers skull that make his power activate faster or the puppet which extends his nightfall by 20 seconds. Also forgot to mention but the Dredge is supposed to kinda be a stealth Killer but can't be one because of how extremely loud he is. Nightfalls undetectable doesn't matter because you can hear the noises he makes from miles and miles away.
He's a jack of all masters of none Killer which makes it so he's pretty good at stomping weaker teams but against survivors who know how to counter him he'll probably lose hard or minimum comes out with a 2k with some luck.
with that last part you're very right, its like when The Wraith had loud footsteps *thump thump thump* and you immediately knew to run away.

If i performed poorly as survivor, id much rather they kill me than force me to farm for 10 plus minutes.
As such, If i wreck house, i try to end the survivors misery by ending the game as quickly as possible

Rather, they should make it where Bubba chainsaw doesn't cooldown or recharge after use near a hooked survivor and maybe also have increased heat gain rate before tantrum occurs too. So, he can use his chainsaw near one, but he has to actually commit to it and can't just forever use his chainsaw as a tool to prevent an unhook from happening at all.
If he keeps revving the chainsaw up and dropping it he willl overheat and lose all his chainsaw charges from that meaning someone can actually attempt an unhook.
If he actually uses the chainsaw he won't get the charges that he used back until he leaves the hook. He will maintain the overheat from his use of the chainsaw, meaning he can only do that a couple times before being locked out of the chainsaw while camping.
Basically, if you use your chainsaw at a hooked survivor you will be able to guarantee a trade, but you can't prevent unhooking altogether.
Although they might have to make overheating not tantrum bubba anymore or bubba could 99 tantrum and then sit in front of the hook.
I like this compromise, killers should be able to defend their hooks, but camping especially with bubba should come with a downside. If he keeps revving that chainsaw at every survivor, that heat bar should keep on rising and not coming down until hes forced to commit or tantrum to defend his hook.
Go ahead and commit to another person or have your camp mean nothing, its really that simple.
Also you could make hook tantrums have a long cooldown on the recharge, so all bubba can do is basic attack (assuming the survivor cancels out of their save in time), which will still lead to a down, but prevent multiple injures from survivors.
-
I love when you have to hit the survivor when you turn a corner, but the game says: No, you are smashing your weapon against the corner instead of the survivor right in front of you.
-
Oh no, the survivors did their only objective. "HOW DARE THEY!"
Should they twiddle their thumbs when killers arent pressuring them?
A killer that cant find them on a gen cant be chased (for those who ascribe to the 'chases are the only fun part of the game')
Also, No Way Out and NOED are extremely effective at getting at LEAST one more kill in your average match if you're even barely competent with killer as a whole.
If you cant see why there isnt a correlation, you have MUCH to learn my friend.

We've gotten the biggest balance change in DBD history via the recent Last Standing PTB update, but since everyone hates change and doomposts instead of seeing things out, everyone decides to hate it instead.
Its like how people said For the People was gonna break the game
And how Lucky Break was gonna break the game
and how Fast Track was gonna break the game
and how Any Means Necessary was gonna break the game
and how Reassurance was gonna break the game
and...you get the picture yet?
-
More hooking incentives, especially if they hook different survivors consecutively. anti-camp and and anti-slug mechanics are awesome, but killers do deserve a reward for spreading their lethal love among survivors.
-
My favorite censor is Yun Jin Lee, you know, the survivor from DBD. Censored.
-
can it at least be this as a charm?
-
A fully infected survivor will be slammed against the blocker and you will then proceed to hook them.
-
We Like Wesker.
-
last thing we need is meta survivors.
No.
-
I know it did with Old Freddy.
-
Depends, is it a Nea, Meg, and Claudette all crouched by the hook pacing back and forth for 100 seconds before realizing far too late that they don't actually want to save me? (Mind you, I have a build with Kindred, Breakdown, and Open-Handed)
Or do i have teammates who are destroying with their gen speeds and clearing everything out?
If its the former, there's no need to stay. They don't have the skill to know when to go for a save, are non-committal so they wouldn't be able to help each other afterwards, don't do gens so escaping was never a possibility, and generally games like this are absolutely boring because the killer knows they can repeat this behaviour to reap massive rewards.
If its the latter, I'm living vicariously through the other survivors and hoping they all get out, even if it means I am dead.
Yet, if the only reason I'm hooked is because another survivor purposely brought the killer to me (especially if I was deep in a gen) all bets are off. If im not saved soon, that player obviously didn't want me in the match and I'm moving on to a match where people actually mutually care about survival.
-
his voice creepy, I'd much rather simp for Oni.
-
this is WAY better than looking at 4 survivors who DIED in the match running.
It also shows off the killers cosmetics, which the killer never sees 90% of the time.

Remember when they made getting emblems harder and everyone complained?
Yeah, people SUCK at this game. It doesn't matter if its emblem or MMR matchmaking, there's so many people that are horrendous that you're gonna have crap matches no matter what

Triggered an epilepsy that could have landed them in the hospital or worse.
At least the username checks out.
they definitely work in health or life insurance.

After trying out the PTB i only feel more negative about this idea.
Firstly it doesn't even fix the problem it was trying to address, that being to make moris more common. By removing mori offerings and mori ability from perks, moris are only available to killers that can 4k. They will be less common. Good killers are going to make last survivor experience miserable by using hatch offerings and no way out.
Secondly it adds new massive balance problems, because they are changing a bunch of perks because of the want to remove mori ability from the mid game for some reason. Unbreakable and Soul Guard got buffed and No Mither, Rancor, Hex : Devour Hope and Exponential got nerfed! These are perks that would otherwise not be changed.
Like i said before i still think that the finishing mori should happen but mid game Moris through perks and offerings should also stay. Anti-slugging mechanic should also not happen, it's overpowered.
Overall i feel like this system is a waste of resources. The mid chapter is disappointing, there's plenty of changes that people want, like killer changes and underused perk buffs, but we're not getting them because of this system that didn't need to be added.
they dont have to 4k at all, the last person just needs to be incapcitated,
you never downed a person by an exit gate? now all you do is push everyone out and bam, there is your mori.
Thinking slugging is OP is a very poor take. Just hook the survivor, use scourge hooks to create a massive advantage and win your game.
You cannot have your slug mori cake and eat it too.
-
It punishes crap survivors for being so bad at the game that an entire team of survivors cannot handle one singular killer for 45 seconds.
Split up?
Go to a locker?
Use god pallet?
Its not hard.
-
Twins can hover over the downed body, run to the downed person, regardless of whatever pick up perks they have, all Twins need to do is switch back to
babyVictor the moment they see the status of the survivor change and they go back down. The only time this changes is if they have Tenacity, and at that point, they deserve it for taking something so niche.
this is literally the worst case scenario for a killer and its not even that bad, literally just pick them the hell up and hook them. Everyone is exaggerating so much (like always) just because there is a change.

Giant Spider won’t work unless they could figure out how to animate it to travel through narrow pathways.
SpringTrap won’t work because it’ll divide the community since the fans of the series were super annoying about it and have left a sour taste in many mouths. Also there’s some controversy with the creator supporting certain political groups. I hope it never comes because I’m a spiteful bit*h and haven’t forgotten the ruckus fans of the series caused when we were speculating on who the next killer before Cake Daddy Pyramid Head dropped.
I don’t see why we can’t have an alien. It would probably be as large as Demopuppy. They’d just have to come up with interesting ideas for its powers and abilities. Something like The Forgotten Twins powers would work, just less clunky and dependent on slugging.
We can’t have a killer that disguised as a Survivor. Everyone thought that would be Legions power but SWF is a thing and it wouldn’t work in this game.
They have lots of possibilities, it’s just not easy to make them all real. While I like original characters, Licensed ones are the money makers. I just hope for Chucky one day. Oh, and Oppai Vampire Lady from Resident Evil.
Daddy long legs, tall, but slender.
Like slenderman, but a spider.

everyone complaining about the new moris...
its been MONTHS since ive been mori'd. Literally no one uses them, its basically useless and serves no purpose.
The new mori WILL serve a purpose and will help end matches faster instead of killers sitting and watching someone bleed out for 4 minutes because hooks are down or someone is feeling petty.
-
well sometimes the characters look like they're floating 2 inches in the air instead.
Lobby rework when?

Without Bamboozle? No. Even WITH Bamboozle, the survivor can just detach to the nearby tile. It's like a god loop.
you have the greenhouse loop to the right
the truck loop in front of the house
your regular high-wall loop to the left
and a house with an escape in every one of those directions if you find yourself unable to abuse the house

100 on a survivor
They instantly completed all 5 gens, vanished and I would have let the killer kill me but they threw me out the exit gate
the one friend i was playing with let the EGC kill them.
-
Literally the only situation i see drastically changing is this:
Survivor is downed at a pallet, another healthy survivor is there. If the healthy survivor stalls for long enough the downed survivor gets up
If the killer gives into the UB pressure the healthy survivor will smash the pallet down on them
of course without having UB actually equipped the healthy survivor will need to stall for 45 seconds instead of half that, which should be enough time for the killer to chase them off.
Similar situations can arise with a flashlight, but are far less forced.
-
this change will make DS more viable, if the killer waits, the survivor gets up, if you dont wait, you get struck.
Add tenacity and now you can crawl your way to a loop/pallet, pick yourself up and or D-strike.
-
You get rid of a survivor, and still see the mori when you down the last survivor.
I think the point is just promoting healthier gameplay by making hooking the ultimate goal
-
Hook the survivor :)

With the next test mid-chapter dropping probably next weak with the base-kit unbreakable change, Killers that rely on slugging to use their highest potential will be much weaker, but there is one Killer that will be literally unplayable if they're not changed in time.
If you want to use Victor as The Twins, you have to slug, there isn't a way to not slug as the Twins (well, if you want to play Charlotte only and only use Victor as a radar, then I guess there is, but c'mon). So I think The Twins need some huge updated and actuall thought put into them before the update goes live someday.
they need an update anyways, this is a win-win.
The Twins are only good at the least favored things in the game, slugging and camping.
-
If 4 people cant hold down a singular killer for 45 seconds they are hot garbage. The killer also has to reach back to the first survivor they downed within that 45 seconds and pick them up, there is no way they could all be that dog that this would be a possible situation. (and if you are, thats on you)

This is such an insanely awful idea from BHVR. Literal infinite use Unbreakable-speed self-recovery with the perk on, and even without it, still literal infinite use self-recovery.
Hook the survivor, proc your scourge hooks, win the game.
-
Very very healthy for the game!
Was one of my remaining gripes, slugging for the 4k has always felt like such a hollow victory, but was so easy to do why wouldnt any killer do it?
-
the "killer" isn't doing anything, its the survivor that griefed you that did something.
When killers do this to me I run to a gen and work on it, then if they get the message I'll bleed out and the other survivor has to unfortunately hide for 4 minutes.
-
there should be checks and balances at the very least
Players shouldnt be able to move faster than x% speed
Players shouldnt be able to reach x Height
Players shouldnt be able to be in the air for x time
Stun times should be limited to x seconds
Blinds should be limited to x seconds
Gen speeds should be limited to x charges per second
No more than one killer can be in the match
If you do this, what is a hacker gonna do?

That's just how the DBD community works, a few months ago it was Blight and his addons, then Artist and DMS, then Bubba and his facecamping, then AFK Pig, then Legion after his rework, then Nurse. Now we're in a transition phase where we're all searching for a killer to hate, wouldn't be surprised to see something like Condemned Sadako here.
Yes, and because of that DMS was nerfed, BT became basekit, and Pig cant stand by a box for kills.
There's a reason why the conversation switches, because there's plentiful amounts of unhealthy gameplay that needs to be nipped.
Blights add-ons are busted, and Nurse is still the killer which breaks all the rules with minimal downsides and also has busted add-ons.
-
the old music, while very fitting for a generic chase, is uninspired and does not tailor to the old killers very well.
Trapper needs traps and metal clanging in his music
Wraith needs bells
Nurse needs the breath and voices of the people she suffocated.
-
I do not appreciate any killer who has superior camping capabilities
Yes, she is far less of a problem due to basekit BT, but that doesnt make it any more interesting or fun to go against.
Does anyone ever go "I love crouching for extended periods of time!"
Maybe those certain Nea players do, but we hate them.
-
@latigresa said:
There is a streamer with a 155 kill streak with Sadako.
155 is an odd number, which means someone escaped, which means that the streak is fake.

Inner Strength (Inner Healing) requires no Skill Check input, for anyone out there who might be frustrated against this.
Also please use this perk instead of Self-Care I am begging you.
-
50% should only be achieved if every survivor in every game actually were willing to cooperate and were in everyone's best interest and not onlythemselves.
Such as in real life, not everyone cares about others so a 61% kill rate seems fine.
-
@Yamaoka said:
Just play something else... I heard civilization was a good game
it really is though, just dont do an online campaign. that'll ruin it for the other players.

I'm still leaving Self-Care survivors to die...
-
Its rather inefficient to use Starstruck with a power that has Built-In Exposed
-
So you believe other people should have to wait 5 or 15 minute just because you cant handle someone that people paid to play?
Entitlement at its finest.
