  • Well after seeing the Nemesis reveal trailer, apparently all Meg's must die. At least that's what I got out of it when he yeeted her in to another plane of existence.

  • How can you buy something that is free and already given to you though...?

  • Ok serious question. I've only been around for a couple months now, but in my short time here I've picked up that Sluzzy posts are usually just troll bait. So my question is, why do we still entertain them if it's common knowledge that this person is a troll? >.>

  • Ohhhh ok. I don't know why I wasn't exactly reading it clearly lol. Thanks for clearing that up, I appreciate it guys!

  • Honestly, imo I think Legion needs a rework the most out of everyone right now. I feel like their power is only good for giving information and I guess in a way it does apply pressure by forcing people off of gens to heal. Other than that though, the secondary effect with Deep Wounds is borderline useless. I have never seen anyone actually succumb to it. I don't know how exactly to rework their ability though to be honest though, but they desperately need something though.

And to make things better, you can give her a legendary skin based on Lady D from RE 8

    Aaaaaaaaaaaand you lost me =/

  • Eh don't worry about it. First time this actually happened. I'm ok with the occasional trash talk and just laugh off the dumb comments like "NOED trash!" and what not and again, I'm fine with that kind of end game chatter cus I could just laugh and carry on with my night. But stuff like this, there is no excuse for. I don't care if you just played against a basement camping Bubba or a Ghostface who slugged you and your entire team and spent the entire rest of the game teabagging your bodies as you bled out or if as killer we run in to the SWF death squads that spend 15 minutes just bullying you, flashlight spamming, bodyblocking, and doing whatever they can to hold the game hostage just because they can. None of that ever justifies telling someone to go and "die" or wishing death on their family or any of that. It's just a game, no need to get so worked up and bent out of shape over it.

  • He's been suggested a lot and I'm guessing for years now. I know the devs have said that Jason has a standing invitation to be added to the game whenever. The problem is the legal disputes over the rights to the Friday the 13th property. Unfortunately because of Covid, the IP rights case was pushed back. It was supposed to be finished in December, but unfortunately one of the judges presiding over the case passed away, which pushed the case back even further. Now because court cases are kind of backed up, they had to shelve this case since it's not really a priority case and there are much more important cases in the court systems that need to be taken care of. So it might be a while until we see Jason in here.

  • It happens on both sides. The game has toxic people who play survivors and killers. Here's one of me being told to die because I used NOED on my low level Wraith. It happens, best thing to do is laugh and report when needed.

What does it have to do with anything? DS is even weaker now, I express my opinion.

But why do you want the changes reverted? You have yet to give a single good reason as to why you think this should happen. In fact the only reason you've given actually supports keeping it the way it is by saying that "It was a useless perk" before the changes and that you never used it. Ok, so if you thought it was bad before and the changes never affected you in any way, then why change it back?

  • Eh, bodyblocking while annoying as all hell I think is fair game. It gives the survivors another tactic to help protect their teammates, so I can't really complain about it really.

Now the one issue that I have a problem with in this game that I will find a hill and die on is gen tapping. You wanna talk BS exploits that make no sense, then we can start there lol.

  • @SoapNSpook said:

Keys are alright, they allow survivors to get out of dire situations. Keys are rare as well

Moris ended games too early without even letting survivors do anything, the change was necessary

Ok I try to usually remain nice here but bro...really? You say you're new to the game, but have 2000 hours of game time? Yeah well I'm a lot newer than you, clocking under 150 hours and have only been playing for two months now.

Judging from all that you've said you sound like an entitled survivor main who just wants the game to be easier for you. I'm a killer main, mostly cus I personally just don't like the playstyle of survivor. But even I can admit when things are unfair here for survivors. Reading what the old moris did, yeah I agree they were pretty op. But now? They're kinda useless 8/10 times. Keys on the other hand...yeah they need to tweak those a little. Gens as they are now are pretty easy to knock out especially if you run the right add-ons and perks, so you can end the game reeeeaaally fast anyway. Keys kinda exasperate that problem even more. I do think there could be a happy medium that can be reached for both moris and Keys, and I'm really intrigued on what sort of changes the devs are planning with those.

But yeah all that you've said so far in this thread can be summed up to "buff survivors, give them free DS, and make killers always lose." It doesn't work that way. And before you say anything, no I don't think killers are entitled to having constant 4ks either, and I don't want to the game to cater to me so that I can get them all the time either. Hell personally I'm happy if I can get 1k and not displease the entity in a game. If I can get that I consider it a win for me lol.

Edit: Forgot to add in my rant. As a newer player and having read the forums and experienced this wonderful matchmaking system the game has, I agree with the majority of people on here in terms of balance. The real imbalance in the game is that SWF are op and solo queues on both sides are about even. No I don't have a fix for it because it's not an easy thing to fix that won't handicap solos or people for just wanting to play with their friends.

Apart from that I don't really have the experience to say which side is more op than the other because again I'm still figuring stuff out here. Also doesn't help that matchmaking is so bad that you can either get paired with people who are so beyond your skill level that they just ROFLstomp you in to the ground without breaking a sweat, or you get those games where your opponent(s) is just a literal potato on a keyboard, and you end up steamrolling them without a sweat. I have been in both situations and have been in decently balanced matches and have both lost and won my fair share of them.

  • "The devs only listen to killers in this game."

Which is why the devs went and nerfed the hell out of moris and haven't bothered touching keys yet right? 🙃

Sorry I just wanted to be the first one to throw that argument out there lol.

I consider them to be one of the best killers actually. They just feel so sluggish to play with all the delay between hits.

Yeah, Charlotte feels a little clunky, but I kinda like how when playing as her you're just lumbering around and then you have Victor running after people like a pissed off chihuahua, AKA a normal chihuahua.

Omg i laughed to hard at fisticuffs. Now I want an old timey boxer for a killer.

If he doesn't have the thin curly mustache then they're doing it wrong.

  • Make a Banjo-Kazooie skin for Charlotte and Victor. Which one gets the fur and which one gets the feathers glued on to them, I'll have you decide. For me, Victor is Kazooie and Charlotte is Banjo. You can have Charlotte run around wearing yellow shorts and a brown fur coat with the basket on her back being Banjo's blue backpack. Plus I think it'd look both horrifying and hilarious to have Victor dressed up as a chicken, having a bunch of red feathers messily glued on to him along with a fake beak just chasing people down and having a trail of feathers following behind him as he ran.

Yeah I think that's what they did but I haven't played against the twins in a while so I haven't seen that part of the change.

I played as them last night for my daily ritual and yeah, I think they're fine. Like if their current state is considered too weak due to a nerf, then ######### were they like before? I was playing a lvl 1 Twins, so I only had one perk slot and no items and I managed to 4k that game. I pulled the strategy of getting the first hit with Charlotte and then sicking Victor on them for the down and leaving him near them to keep track of other potential survivors. Heck, one time I managed to chase one survivor down a hallway in Midwich right where I had Victor parked on the opposite side and I got them with the ambush.

By no means am I a highly skilled player either, I'm just saying that based on this one game I had they played fine and felt nasty. So yeah, not sure why no one plays them cus you can still pull some magical plays with them.

  • Friend of mine said they made it easier for survivors to kick Victor.

  • I think they recently got hit with a nerf right?

How is it fun to go against killer that has almost 0 chase interaction, what other things makes it fun for you?

I still think you're focusing on the wrong thing though which is the chase interaction. Any killer can choose not to engage in a chase with you for whatever reason. Hell, Legion's power is literally for him to just tag as many people as he can and force them to waste their time healing up. As pig I have had survivors try to force me in to a chase with them just to stall the head trap timer and I will do what I can to make sure that the chase doesn't even start. Actually there was a Steve in a game I played in once where he tried to do just that. He'd try to jump in front of me to body block or try step over the teammate I had just downed. I could hear the timer on his head trap beeping really fast and knew he was just trying to stall the timer, so I made sure to not look in his direction and make sure that I didn't accidentally chase him. Sure enough his head popped right next to me.

You saying that you don't like how Wraiths don't want to chase doesn't mean anything other than the person playing them just doesn't want to engage in a chase at that moment for whatever reason. Again, the killer doesn't -HAVE- to chase you if they don't want to.

  • I only really I'll use NOED is in one of two situations. The first is actually the most common reason for me. I'm playing a new low level killer and I have no other good perks to use on him. It's funny too cus I'll get crap at the end of the game for using NOED and they can plainly see they I'll only have 2 or 3 perkslots and I'm yellow and brown add-ons, and still call me NOED trash. I just tell them, I'm sorry next time I'll just handicap myself and run a useless perk on my baby killer, like Deer Stalker or Iron Grip, just to make you feel better about yourself. No problems.

Or the second reason I have ever used NOED and I have only done this once cus I legit felt like a cheap ass after doing this. I wanted to run an experimental Freddy build where I was using his Black Box add-on (which makes it so that survivors who are asleep can't escape for 15 seconds) and I combined that with Blood Warden, essentially giving me a full minute to finish off the survivors. Yeah...like I said I only did that once cus I legit did feel dirty doing that to these guys. But yeah, those are really the only times I've really ran NOED.

  • Maybe they removed him to fix whatever is wrong with the face of the in game model. Looks nothing like the promo photos...

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2244085#Comment_2244085

I mean i do this too, but i've played against 20 wraiths in like 2 days and i had chase interaction that lasted longer than 10 seconds against one of the wraiths and he was rank 17, and i've played against 10 or so deathslinger/spirits and i had longer chase interactions against them and all rank 1.

I don't know what to tell you then. Different playstyles is all I can really say. I've been guilty of doing both, over engaging in long chases, even knowing that I should've cut bait, or I'll do little mini chases just to shoo survivors away and run off and annoy another one. It's hard to really pinpoint this as one clear issue because again, from my own personal experience and from reading that of others on here, you'll get a wide range behavior from all killers. *shrug* I dunno. Either way I hope things get better for you in future games. It happens, you get paired in unfun matchups. All you can do then is just eat the poo sandwich and move on.

  • @S0nny said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2244057#Comment_2244057

I don't give 2 ######### about winning, i just want to get chase interaction, pretty much the only thing i enjoy in this game and against wraith there is 0 chase interaction.

Ok, please don't take this as me being sassy or cheeky or anything, genuine question here. So do you expect the killer, regardless of who it is, to just mindlessly chase you if they know that either A) They're going to just waste more time chasing you across the map. B) They know where the rest of the team is. C) They managed to spot another easier target?

I do this on everyone, not just Wraith. If I see that a survivor is purposefully just trying to goad me in to chasing them out to the middle of no where or near strong tiles, then they obviously want me to chase them and waste my time while the other 3 survivors are out working on gens. I know that chasing just one person takes away pressure from the rest and that goes against achieving my goal as a killer, regardless of who I play.

  • Yeah this ain't the right argument here my guy...

  • @S0nny said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2243966#Comment_2243966

Didn't say that tho, i do get it that you have to play hit and run as wraith tho, its super boring to go against and needs 0 skill what so ever

Can't speak much about the boring thing, but I'd argue the opposite about the 0 skill thing. I'd say you'd need a decent modicum of skill if only because you have to have decent placing when it comes to unstealthing. Because everyone can hear the bing bong go off, if you're not in the right spot for an ambush then there's a good chance the survivors can make it away safely or make it far enough to where they can wait by a stronger position where they can pallet/loop you.

  • Apparently stealth killers are supposed to announce their presence beforehand and then engage in a round of fisticuffs out in the middle of the cornfield where there are no gens and only strong pallets and loops. Apparently I have been playing stealth killers wrong all this time.

  • Isn't...that...kinda the whole point of a...stealth...killer? To do hit and runs/ambush tactics?

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

Not taking it seriously actually makes the game enjoyable

Yeah that's the mindset that I had to start taking after A LOT of frustrating games against red rank sweatlords who are beyond my skill level. Now I just play to have fun and if I see that I'm in a game against sweatlords who are gen rushing and avoiding me to the point of not even engaging in chases, or if I get in to a game against a bully squad I just find a nice quiet corner of the map the stand in, face the wall, and queue up something on YouTube on the second monitor. If a team wants to play gen fix simulator, then ok I ain't gonna stop them. Or if a team wants to bully then I ain't gonna give them the satisfaction. It's not like as killer I won't have to wait very long for another game anyway.

  • @SMitchell8 said:

Jason tends to kill slowly like Myers, so perhaps he'd be a stalker/powerhouse. Could be a rage based killer. The longer he chases you, the more his power bar goes up etc. Tier 3 could be hybrid of existing perks perhaps

I don't think this would happen, but maybe he has a rage meter where he either exposes victims or maybe he gains some weird enduring ability where pallets can't stun him and breaks on impact? Though that might be too OP?

Monstrum is only a single-player game (which, to be honest, works in its favor because you are ALL alone. It's just you, with no one to help and no way to defend yourself, against a wandering monster that wants you dead. It works VERY well).

The sequel, however, due out any time, IS multiplayer. My understanding is that it will be the same asymmetrical style of DBD, though I don't know wen it will be released. They did the open beta about 8 months ago I think.

Awww damn, it sounded like it would be a cool game to play with some friends late at night and just scream with at 4 am sounds like fun lol

  • @miketheratguy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2241876#Comment_2241876

Oh man, do yourself a favor and check out Monstrum. Watch a couple of longplays, see what you think. Not to hijack, but briefly:

    • You are powerless. You have no defense. None. There is no fighting back.
    • You are faster than all the killers, but not by much for two of them (more on that shortly). This is to allow you to try to desperately break line of sight and find a place to hide. And in this game, hiding is literal: Under bunks, under tables, in cabinets and lockers.
    • Each match can be a minute to half an hour, depending on how well you do at finding the randomized items. Aside from flashlights and glow sticks there's not much more than throwables for distractions and the rare escape items (a submersible, a helicopter, and a life raft. Three to four items are needed to complete each).
    • When you start the game you have no idea which monster you're against. You must tread very carefully.
    • One monster can only be identified from a short distance by the loud stomps it makes when it walks. It is a massive creature called the Brute.
    • One monster can only be identified by the flickering effect it has on the lights, as it's a paranormal entity that floats around the dark halls nearly silently called "the Fiend".
    • The final monster is always in the vents, unseen, until it chooses whatever time it wants to pop out of one and try to startle and ambush you. This is the Hunter.
    • You hear the footsteps of the Brute and see the flickering of the lights in a circular radius meaning you don't know if the monster is in the next room, outside the door, above you, or below you.
    • There are always dead ends, and if you run down one when being chased, bye.
    • The brute is about rushing you hard and fast, bashing down doors to get you. Against the Brute, you RUN. The Fiend is about immediately finding a hiding spot when you see those lights flicker. The Hunter can just show up anytime, almost anywhere, but is thankfully slower.
    • When you're caught, it's very loud, in your face, and crunchy, lol.

The game is really, REALLY well designed. Wonderful spooky atmosphere. While I'm now quite used to it it was the only game besides Amnesia in which, for a good few weeks, I felt legitimate unease at wanting to play. It was fun, but it was SO tense that I almost didn't want to put myself through the experience. Overlooked game, very high quality.

That actually sounds like fun! It is multi-player right, like I can form up my own group and play with friends? Just wondering cus like I said, that fear factor just isn't there as a survivor in this game, especially in SWF. If anything the fear gets replaced with salt cus I'm still a baby survivor and have no perks except maybe one unlocked lol.

Monstrum as well. I hype this game a lot (it's easily one of my favorite games of all time). If I may:

Monstrum is a game that came out the same year as DBD and is, in a way, the single-player version of it. You're on a cargo ship at night in the middle of the sea and every time you play a match the layout of the ship's rooms and hallways are randomized. The goal is to explore the ship and find escape items (which are also randomly placed, and it's a BIG play area) and combine them, loudly, and finally wait out the time it takes for the escape item to become ready to use. Meanwhile there is one of three randomized monsters roaming the ship and if it so much as makes line of sight of you, it will gun for you immediately. If it catches you, game over. Period.

Stealth and exploration is of prime importance in this game, you need to know when to hide, when to sneak, and when to make a break for it. But the thing is that there is no one reliable tactic because the foe and the placement of the items among the ever-changing maze is unpredictable. In this game it's not about finding an object and working on it, hoping not to expose yourself, it's about navigating a maze and trying to collect what you need until you've got enough to use one of the three escape methods. I have to admit that I prefer the "explore and find items" structure to "work on the static objects for a little while" structure, but this is just personal opinion. That said, I still very much enjoy the gameplay of DBD as it is.

Ooooh see I like that because from the sounds of it, that game has one thing that I've sorta noticed in my short time here, that DBD is lacking. It's lacking the fear aspect. Every game I play I don't really get the sense that the killer is "feared" which kinda goes against the whole theme of this game where you are trying to survive and escape the clutches of this monster who wants nothing more than to just murder you. All of that flies out the window when the survivors know that they have numerous second chance perks, items that can blind and stun the killer, and have places in the map that they can endlessly run around in with no fear of being caught. I will say I the Friday the 13th game I never ever wanted to run in to Jason, even if I had my knife and could stab him and run away, I wanted nothing to do with him and would make sure that I was always sneaking or that if I saw him from a distance that I started booking it in to the woods in the opposite direction. Don't really get that same feeling here though.

I don't know, this might just be me, and I fully expect to rustle some jimmies with this statement, but I think the survivors in these types of games should always be at a disadvantage against the super powered killer/monster. Not saying that the killer should always win, not not at all. Hell that was never the case in Friday the 13th because while I felt like a force to be reckoned with in that game as Jason I still very much lost a lot of games lol. The survivors in those games straight up would outplay the hell out of me, despite me having the advantage with all my tracking and teleporting powers and what not and as a survivor in that game, outplaying Jason and surviving felt sooooo satisfying and well earned and I'd get that well deserved sigh of relief afterwards lol.

Anyway main point, I feel like this game when compared to other similar games lacks the fear aspect when playing survivor. Hell I've had so many games where as killer, the only one who was fearful of anything in those was me being scared of the survivors lol.

  • So there's a couple of things here. Which version of Jason? Because OG Jason, hands down beats the holy hell out of Trapper. Jason is literally and unstoppable machete wielding zombie with the strength of 13 gorillas hyped up on some weird chemical mixture of steroids and meth. As far as I know, Trapper is just some dude lol. The most Trapper could do is catch him in some bear traps, but then eventually Jason will just get annoyed and rip through them until he can grab the Trapper and break him against the nearest tree.

Now, the only reason I'm bringing this up is because of the version of Freddy we got. But if they gave us the newer Jason from the Friday the 13th remake, that would be interesting because essentially he and Trapper are exactly the same person because Jason in that version was very much a big psycho mountain man. Also imo, that version of Jason was the most piss your pants terrifying. Seeing that large gargantuan man RUN and book it after you was waaaay more terrifying than OG Jason just teleporting and waiting for you around the corner lol.

  • It's funny cus when you look at another similar game, Friday the 13th, they actually did it right imo. Where survivors tread the camp grounds carefully to find all the little things they need, by checking every little nook and cranny of the cabins while also running away from and also distracting the killer. I think doing something similar I'm DBD would be cool, where depending on the map you're on you have to find certain things like generator parts, gasoline, extra wires, and/or some fuses for the exit gate? Maybe change up the scavenger hunt for specific maps too, and make them more thematic to the map itself. I remembered seeing someone suggest something like on the Oni's map you have to find and light some candles that when lit would cleanse the air of evil spirit dark magics and open the way for the exit to appear for the survivors. Something like this could be fun to toy with actually.

    Thank you.

This begs the question though: If Jason WERE available as just a skin, would people be happy with it? What I mean is, hypothetically, if someone did magically hack the game so that there was suddenly an optional Jason skin for the Trapper, would that be enough to feel that he IS in the game, or would he need new unique perks and moris to feel at all noteworthy?

Note: I'm not suggesting that anyone hack their game (how people do so and then go online without being detected and auto-banned for having modified files, I don't even know), I'm just wondering about the hypothetical. In fact, let's say that it's not even a hack situation, let's say BHVR can only get Jason's appearance and absolutely nothing else. He has to use whatever animations and abilities the skin is applied to. It's Jason in appearance only, is what I'm getting at. Would you guys be happy with that?

Just curious. I myself would not be.

No. Jason is waaaaay too big of a name to just be some skin for like Trapper or something. The guy is one of the OG slashers of the silver screen. Just off of the impact of the character and the series alone makes him deserving of his own spot as his own unique character.

How about a new killer? The countess from AHS. Attack would be the glove and various other things from her.

Yessss! I would anything from AHS to be represented in this game. Been saying for a while now that I'd settle for a Twisty the Clown legendary skin for Clown. But hell to the yes, I'd so be down for The Countess to be an actual killer. She'd technically also fill in that check box for a vampire killer too.

I don't see the issue since the perks will get a slight nerf, but in return, base killer kicks will actually matter now.

Yeah exactly. No I'm all for this, I think that's actually a pretty solid idea. Like you said it would make gen kicking matter a bit more and be a little more effective even without perks.

  • @AVoiceOfReason said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2239844#Comment_2239844

I've made a suggestion to fix that. Nerf Pop by 10% and give base kicks a 3% regress and take off Tier 3 Ruin and add a 25% faster regression by default. This way, running those won't kill the survivor's too much but the killer has better reasons to kick gens now by default. You gen tap, you lose 3% for the trouble.

Actually....yeah that doesn't sound like a bad trade off at all actually. Actually I was thinking the other day why don't killers have like a base % that they take off with the initial kick and before the regression starts? That coooouuuld theoretically bring up gen pressure and make gen rushing a little harder to do if small bit of progress gets taken off first before regressing. But then again judging by my short time on these forums so far I'm sure someone will come up with a counter point to why that's a terrible idea and why gen tapping and hook tapping are all good things to keep in the game =/.

  • It's funny cus I had a conversation with some friends about this the other day. I told them if it was me, I'd put a mechanic in the game that makes it so that if they're downed at the gate that they can't crawl out. To me if you're a survivor and your mission is to escape alive, you sitting there at the exit and taunting the killer kinda goes against what you're supposed to do. So why punish the killer by robbing them of a kill for someone being cocky and not completing their objective right? I mean I dunno, like I said if I was in charge for a day I'd totally do something like that, but then again I admit that on a good day I can be pretty spiteful person, so maybe that's a good thing that I stay away from any sort of decision making roles lolol.

Spoken like a true survivor. You can't get pressure on a swf with comms. 'He's over here, ok work the gen'. Oh he overcommited he was only supposed to chase for 10 seconds then run to the next gen to get 'pressure' and chase him for 10 seconds while the guy you just left goes back to the gen. "Well you need to end chases quickly". I do a lot of times only to hear "waa your spirit is OP cheating nerf her waaa". Ok.

Edit: You know what brings great pressure against altruistic groups? Camping and tunneling. Brings great pressure.

I just want to add to this, gen tapping also makes any sort of pressure you have just null as well. For instance, I was in a game the other day chasing someone away from a gen that I had just kicked, but every time I'd just start to chase someone would come and just tap the gen then run. So I'd kick and the original guy is back, loops me, taps gen and continues to run. I dunno, but to me I really don't think that's fair that you can stop gen regression just by tapping it. Seems kinda cheap especially when you consider that killers have to do the full animation for any action they do.

I know I know, "gen regressing perks" yeah well...if you're playing a killer who doesn't have any gen regressing perks then ######### do you want me to do? Go rub the magic lawn gnome's belly and just wish for one to sprout up in a match? Again the whole tapping thing that survivors do just feels kinda cheap and feels more like an exploit of a bad system.

  • So actually this is something that I've been wondering about too, regarding these mist offerings. Just how useful is it increasing/decreasing the fog? Does it really make that much of a difference for either side? Legit I don't know, I never use them.

  • I don't necessarily want this, but I have a friend who would literally commit murder for it. A shirtless Felix skin...

    There hope she's happy.

  • Honestly I don't think it's works because, yeah tentacle. Now fair points with Look-See and the minotaur, although the minotaur I view as more of a minor thing. I agree 100% with the Look-See skin. I honestly have no clue why they gave that to Doctor, cus it's really doesn't make any sense. As for Krampus and the traps? Ehhh...I mean it depends? Like there are so many different interpretations of Krampus and it's not really above the realm of possibility for him to set traps up, although if it were me I'd have made them more festive looking to fit the skin, same with the minotaur, I'd have swapped out the club for a something else like just a giant stone hammer or an axe or something.

But back to Mr. X. I'm gonna be honest, I think his popularity is a bit overblown by in large thanks to the RE2 Remake. They did a phenomenal job in taking what was an otherwise generic and forgettable character from the original game and successfully made him in to a piss your pants scary monstrosity. But I mean be honest, before the remake can you honestly say that Mr. X was at all memorable? Because to me when I look back at the old games I remember Nemesis crashing through the walls of the police station unexpectedly and scaring the ever living hell out of me as he then started chasing me down hallways.

That being said, if it happens and we get Mr. X as a skin then hey I'm happy for everyone who wanted it. But for me personally I just don't care for it. Mr. X is just a generic mindless tyrant and isn't really that interesting to me to really want him as a skin. Again that's just me though.

  • I've only been playing for just shy of two months now and can confirm, the grind is just stuuuuupidly overwhelming. Combine that with the fact that matchmaking is broken with ranks not really meaning anything, and putting low level newbies against high ranked sweat lords and yeah the grind just feels even worse. In my own experience I've had to put off learning and enjoying killers who I actually want to play, and have had to tough out matches as killers who I have no interest in touching at all, just to unlock their perks. Grinding nurse and Hag were both extremely painful to do and the second I hit 40 for them I dropped them and moved on to other killers whose perks I needed. Right now I'm trying grind out Hillbilly only so I can get tinkerer. I haven't even bothered looking at what survivors I need to play and grind out yet...

But yeah they need really need to do something about this. Don't know what the answer is, but anything to make the experience feel less like a chore to just grit your teeth and suffer through would be wonderful.

  • Yeah if you like stealthy hit and run ambush style gameplay, definitely go Wraith, Ghostface, or Pig since that's pretty much their whole kit right there.

Although if you really want to get under people's skin, I believe Scratch Mirror Myers works too in regards to being stealthy. Or, if you really REALLY want to piss people off and get extreme levels of sodium overload, you could just use the Insidious perk and roll a stealth Bubba XD

  • I've said this before in another thread about what licenses should DBD go for and after their partnership with CryptTV that made me think of some other horror themed tv shows that I watch.

The first one is a show that's a bit more well known, and I'd love to see some skins come from it. That show is American Horror Story. I would love to see Twisty the Clown as a skin for, well Clown. Also have some survivors as skins of some of the witches from Coven would be cool as hell. Not sure who they can make the Rubberman be a skin for, but I think it'd just be funny seeing a dude in a leather gimp suit running around and chasing survivors lolol.

The next show isn't as well known, but I could easily see the killers from each season as being a very simple skin. The show is very similar to American Horror Story, and it's called Slasher. I can easily see the Executioner being a skin for someone in the game, maybe Trapper? For sure the Druid from season 3 would be an easy skin for Legion to have.

But yeah other than that I'd be down to get a shirtless Nemesis skin (they did it for Marvel vs Capcom!) or at least give Nemesis the headgear that let's him wear the trash bag looking covering he wore for the beginning of RE3:Remake, since the model being user in DBD is from the remake. And of course give me a Chris and Claire Redfield skin for Leon and Jill.

Jason Voorhees for Trapper, Old Lady Lori for Lori Strode, Tommy Jarvis for Jake Park, Image Comics Violator for Clown, DC Comics Joker for Trickster, Mr. X for Nemesis, Steve Erkle and Angry Videogame Nerd for Dwight, New Nightmare for Freddy, Tex Hex from Bravestar for Deathslinger and Blight Cosmetics for Deathslinger, Twins, Trickster, Oni and Meg.

Unfortunately they can't do anything with the Friday the 13th stuff due to legal holdups regarding who owns the rights to it. But I wouldn't be surprised at all if when that case is done that Jason doesn't show up as his own killer with Tommy as the survivor. He's way too big of a name to just be a simple skin.
