I can both agree and disagree with this. I only play solo survivor(cause I got no friends) and I can say having kindred base kit would be an absolute God send. Buckle up is kinda useless since I know how to tell time and be able to run up and know exactly how much they would be recovered IF they had.
As far as totem counter goes. It needs to be a perk. If everyone had a base kit counter to a LOT of perks (being totems) that just essentially removes the incentive to use them and reduces the threat that they pose.
The reason i'd like buckle up is because a lot of randoms dont even recover on the floor, and I get to them thinking they're 90% and they're like 10%.

I feel like the only thing that truly holds solos back is the ability to communicate. How would an in game chat go as far as buffing solo? Proximity could have the advantage of talking while near but the killer can hear as well.
An in game item like a walkie talkie could prove useful as well to help communicate to a swf group that are all on discord or similar party chat.
How would you go about bluffing solo if you could?
Make info perks basekit, like kindred, buckle up, totem counter basekit.

Survivors also are in the best state they have been in a long time.
Not Solo Q.

Nah, I’m not petty enough for that. I found it more funny than anything as I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Normally people would go from being annoyed at the AFK person to completely understanding. I just couldn’t believe she still said I ruined her last game of the day. ☠️
That's why I found it weird. I did make the mistake of not reading the entire thread, since I find a lot of the posts both here and on reddit being the same "x bad y good" without much substance, so my bad for assuming she was just rude before you explained the situation. In that case, ######### them. A stupid game < pets.

A screenshot wouldn’t help. Because she didn’t type her responses, as she was live so she just replied with words. The only thing typed in the chat was me saying why I went AFK. I also don’t think I could even provide that anymore because when I go on her stream the chat box just tells me that I’m banned. So the text is no longer available.
Fair enough. Depending on what she said to you, you can always report her if it falls under twitch TOS.

I feel like with the amount of corn the map has, stealth wont really be a problem. I can see it being a problem for trapper since it didnt seem to have much grass at all.

Naming and shaming isn’t allowed here. So no, I won’t be providing ‘proof’ - if you think I’m being banned because of this heartless cow, well, you thought wrong. If you don’t believe me, I don’t really care. Kindly leave the thread. 👋🏻
You can censure names you know. Me asking to see a picture of it, shouldn't be that offensive to you.

I literally said in my OP that I explained to her why I went AFK and she said it wasn’t her problem and that I’m what’s wrong with the community. She also personally thanked me for ruining her last match. This was all AFTER she knew I was AFK because my dog was choking. There’s no way this thread should have been taken out of context. Yet... here you are. 😳
Do you happen to have a screenshot of that by any chance? I feel like situations like this, make more sense when there's an image of it. Because I find it really odd someone would be rude to you for helping your dog.
-
Yes, I would totally insult someone for helping their pets, when I myself, have pets. Smart, you are.
-
Players aren't running the game. I don't see a problem with someone wanting to play in a casual or competitive way.
I think the issue is only being one available game mode, which mix casual and competitive players, both having different views on what "fun" is.

"I went into her chat to explain that I was AFK because my dog was choking and I had to tend to him and she says that it wasn’t her problem and she then thanked me for ruining her last match of the day and said people like me are what’s wrong with the community. She then blocked me before I could say anything else. "
Paragraph 3 of 4, OP's post.
I honestly find that to be quite suspicious. No one would be mad for tending your pets if they are in need of help. I'd really like to see the chat for that.
I've went afk multiple times because I have pets, one of them that were elderly, and never got flamed for it.

OP DID explain the context. Both in this post and in the TTV's chat, yet they still got flamed.
"Flaming" would imply OP was attacked on both places. Someone saying that most people who go afk dont have a valid reason behind it, and it being annoying, it's flaming.

By all means be annoyed at the time. But if you find out that there was a reasonable explanation, be an adult and admit you were wrong.
From what I read in the post, the streamer seemed to be complaining about OP being afk before OP told them the context of why he was afk.
A lot of people go afk for no serious reason. Cant really expect people to know the reasoning someone goes afk.

Ever heard the phrase "context is key"?
When someone goes afk, it doesnt say on top of your head the reason, you should know that. I've had people who go afk for non serious reasons.
Maybe if he told them it was bc his dog was choking, they wouldnt have had a problem with it.
So again, there's also others context, not just OPs
-
Another post about "TTV bad".
I would also be annoyed by having someone afk in my team, it's a 4v1 for a reason, not a 3v1 + dead weight.
-
So many twin players will just block the entry with charlotte and use victor -_-

For what? So everything can be badly censured and no one understands anything?
Or so your team starts typing instead of doing something productive? I'll pass

But you're basing it off your personal experiences. I'm rank 1 on both sides every split, and I've seen killers struggle against good solo queue teams. I've also seen killer dominate solo queue teams. That's how it should be, an equal chance killer dominates or gets dominated depending on gameplay.
It's not an "equal" chance when I cant win even when I'm good because my team mates are bad...

@Quol said:
You won and you need to make sure they know you won. Killers do something similar when they hit hooked survivors.
This. Just earlier I had a huntress hit me on hook while nodding.

The 70% kill rates shows for ALL ranks. Most notably, the lower ranks where survivors don't know what they're doing and will just charge at the survivors. Percentage doesn't show the reality of gameplay or how much effort killers put into some games
I'm at red ranks and honestly every time there's solo survivors 60+% of the time the killer doesnt really have a difficult time.

@Bromation said:

Not every game needs to be comparable to a SWF game. Killers already have it hard enough as it is, especially in SWF games.
If killers have it hard enough why is kill rate at 70%?
-
@CheesyGuy said:
Well I am both survivor and killer player. While I agree solo can be quiet a problem just because a SWF groups have some advantages does not mean that Solo should be buffed. The game is actually designed to play as solo mode. Yes SWF have advantages and yes at solo you cant choose your teammates, they can leave you on hooks and etc... but the buff would not solve this problems and I think that it will even do worse in some contest.
I was playing solo quiet a lot time and then during my solo matches I watched some survivors and ask the good ones to team up with me. We dont use any comms or dont know each other perks. I only know them as good solo survivors and we made quiet a team with them. Just play solo, find nice survivors and team up with them is my best advice.
Solo does not need any buff. Some SWF gain advantage yes but they gain that advantage by using 3rd party softwares such as comms which is considered out of the game mechanic and you should not be using ( However people will which is normal and obv).
If the game is designed to be played solo, why are killers kill rate 70% shouldnt it be more around the 50%? I'm pretty sure kill rates would be even higher without swf included.
-
@Bromation said:
As someone who plays mostly solo queue survivor, this is an awful idea. The reason being that there's no way to stop solo queue players from joining voice chat with one another (especially on console). So basically you'd be giving solo queue survivors a 5th perk, when they don't need it. Solo queue is hard, there's no denying that, but I've had plenty of games where I've done amazing solo with amazing teams. There's no need for a buff like this.
In 4k hours, good team in solo q at red ranks are around the 30%. It wouldnt be a 5th perk slot, it would be making it comparable to swf, which is what the game needs before everything else can be balanced accordingly.

I beg to differ,we dont need a totem counter or a buckle up basekit.What i am trying to say is that in solo Q in a LOT of games u get people who are wasting valuable time for no reason,u know hiding behind rocks because they dont know where the kiler is etc.People that dont have as many hours played as experienced folks.We all understand that i suppose.
What i suggested is a good start for new players to invest in that info and do objectives instead of wasting time.
So solo Q only matters in ranks 15-20? What about everyone else, including me, that are at red ranks? There are still a lot of megs hiding behind rocks sure, but is not as often in lower ranks.

That +:
Kindred Basekit
Totem Count Basekit
Buckle up Basekit.
-
PC EU, very rare. I get more facecamping other killers than bubbas.
-
@indieeden7 said:
This question is aimed at the people who say that Kindred basekit shouldn't show the killer's aura: You do realise SWF can just tell their teammates "the killer's camping" right? People want solo queue to have the info that SWF get for free, including the info of whether or not a killer is camping.
This. It also should show the killers aura. I dont see the issue with it showing if a killer is facecamping or not.

I love the people here like "Just cleanse all the dulls on sight" not realising that it means the other survivors who don't know when, where, or if the other totems were cleansed would then go around the map, as would you, to look for the remaining totems that no longer exist and this wasted time will kill your team.
Totem counter, basekit, solo buffs, please.
People who say that just show that they never played solo survivor in their lives.
Totally agreed.

No joke, someone insulted me a few minutes for not tunneling. He couldn't use his perks and I was boring to play against.
Okay what do I can do then? When I tunnel I get insulted and now when I'm not tunneling I also get insulted? No wonder killer mains are quiting by this weird logic
If killer mains quit the game because of something like that, maybe a game focused on violence isn't for the in the first place.

I do tend to run it most of the time. However, I feel like it's been working against me lately where my team mates will use it to locate each other to heal instead of going to rescue me. Now what happens in this case are either of these two things:
1) I reach 2nd stage of the hook
2) I die because by the time they both heal each other my struggle bar runs out.
Either of those two things happening to you when you run this perk is demoralizing.
If they let me reach second stage for healing eachother, I just suicide in their face, specially if it's early game.
-
I run it all the time. It should be base kit.

Dead Hard is definitely not too good, this is coming from a consistently rank 1 survivor and killer. Sprint Burst is debatebly better, the reason it's not is because DH gives you those i-frames which is good in other more rare situations like dodging a hatchet.
This 100%. Since I started using Lithe instead of dead hard I've been having way better chases. Dead Hard works 50% of the time, if even that, and a lot of killers know how to deal with it.
Only killer dead hard is amazing against is nurse imo.

When I stream I use TTV in my name because Twitch is not a friendly platform to grow on. Most of my followers were people who found me through the game because of my name.
That isn't an indication of my skill or if I'm toxic. It just means I want to grow my twitch channel.

There's that old strawman again.
Yes, in my 6k hours in DBD that I've played since the game was in beta, "I don't play solo queue".
Deflate your head, kiddo. I've got far my experience in every aspect on this game, solo queue included, than you likely do.
6k hours and you still think a token counter being base kit is too much. Maybe I need to "deflate" my head, but yours isnt looking much better.
