Do we have any more to the scenario? Were they using NOED as facecamp insurance or to mop up the last few hooks in a 12-hook trial?
-
It literally gives people free saves, heals, totems and gen time that the killer can do nothing about because if they try they get a 5-second stun.
It seems to me like you're just a nice person that doesn't abuse it.
-
Just make it so that the survivor spawns full health, can't be healed but doesn't have the broken status. Suddenly it's a scary, repeatable anti-snowball perk that good killers will nevertheless see coming.
-
Both DS and OoO were absolutely ridiculous on solo survivors, specifically the ones that would absue DS. OoO is just too much info for someone that has full control over it's use (meaning they can mitigate the downside and honestly render it nonexistent), and there's nothing fair about the killer getting a 5-second stun after you unhooked your teammate, worked on a gen, broke a totem, etc.
Seriously, even when I died OoO itself massively increased the escape rates of my teammates because of all the time the killer would spend on me.
-
It's holding the game hostage if you don't try to chase anyone to down them and just patrol the generators. And it mostly just is a Legion/Slinger thing.
-
You had me at "Buffy."
-
Perks are supposed to help you, not carry you.
-
I load in, I do gen, I maybe break totem, get a save or two, heal, maybe another bit of gen time, then I'm dead.
Looping is somewhere in there.

How is it fair that killer have hit priority?
Because their main objective is hitting people, as opposed to the survivors main objective of doing generators?
-
As it stands, current flip flop can make you very easily unhookable if the killer, you know, actually snowballs at some point. That's not healthy at all, there should be as little interference with hooking as possible or else the game will end up being 4-person bleedouts every trial.
-
Something that lets you trap hooks and break them from a distance.
-
I usually play about 7 killers: Blight, Legion, Plague, Trapper, Freddy, Spirit, Nurse. Don't really touch the others that much, or even really any of them at the moment but Trapper.

He's a troll, he made this account like a month ago to be toxic, and try to get people to fight, this post is more obvious, 240seconds? That's 4minutes xD
4 minutes of useless invulnerablility seems fine to me. I'm just curious if there's an answer to my question that the OP thought up, or if they just want to spew words.
-
How will the changes effect tunneling?
-
The only thing hatch needs changed is how it dishes out points and pips. If a survivor had to use the hatch, it was a effectively a 4k whether the survivor likes it or not, because they basically won a coin flip. It shouldn't count as an escape, and it should be far less rewarding than an escape.

The survivor can just let go of the gen if they don’t want you to find it. If 2-3 gens are being worked on at once it won’t slow the survivors down much more than people going out of their way to get inside a locker for every hook. It also has a massive cooldown. I will take the double BP.
I know running strong addons every game contributes more to my success than slightly more accurate pop kicks.
Yes, the survivor can just let go of the generator and add an extra 16 seconds to its repair time.
-
It's free Bloodlust 1. That's actually pretty important.
-
That seems to be some of that good old-fashioned hacking. Not the gen counter, the literally everything else.
-
Given that it's a latency issue, how would you fix it? Make it so that the killer cannot hit you once you've started the vault? Give survivors hit priority? How is that even fair?
-
Blight on Ormond always gives me mixed feelings - on the one hand, I basically cannot use my power in a chase half the time. But on the other, it's Ormond with an amazingly mobile killer that can always default to m1 gameplay...
-
Doctor gets screwed over by holding W and has no mobility, so he cannot slow down the game. Plus, it's hard to be a good doctor, so he gets the Nurse treatment.
-
Ruin was the problem because Undying could keep it up.
Not that that helps when the killer just happens to get a good totem spawn and win that way.
-
Most of these aren't useless by your own admission. They're support perks or perks that are supposed to be ran with support perks. That doesn't make them useless, it just means they aren't brain-dead easy that you can just slap on with no thought and get plenty of value from.
-
Adrenaline and Iron Will. I don't like that people can have a perk that lets them rush the last few gens with no consequence, and I don't like that survivors can equip a perk and make absolutely no noise at all in a game where you can crouch in a bush and be invisible. Also, with chase music drowning out footsteps and scratchmaeks randomly vanishing for no intelligent reason, it makes chases so much harder.
And I won't mention the perk you told us not to mention, but suffice it to say at least the other second chance perks are single-use.

The devs said Pennywise is they're dream license, so I'm pretty sure they could do it. They can make all killers work, Chucky, Pinhead, Alien, Mr x etc etc, you just need good imagination.
You don't need a good imagination, you just need the writers bandaid of "big magic scary monster entity magically made them weaker with magic. Also, magic."
-
I guess that could be a thing, but... Wouldn't it just kind of buff NOED and have no real other purpose? I mean, there's so little reason to patrol dull totems except to make sure NOED activates

They can reset pallets and throw pebbles I guess?
I want someone to run around behind me throwing pebbles to try and screw my chases. I will 100% take that.
-
It totally could be. It could have the timer doubled, or even tripled!
No, seriously, what is someone going to do with 3 minutes of invincibility if they can't do gens, totems, saves, heals, etc? Run around BMing you? Sure, that's annoying, but... they aren't really doing anything...
-
Never dear, a random Zarina main is here! But I can't really stealth with pink hair, a white jacket and bright red cargo pants...
-
Had Disturbed Ward as Trapper with no add-ons earlier.
It did not go well.
It did not go well at all.
But I console myself with the fact that I caught the same person twice with a trap under the green observatory window thing.

Not too much reason to use thrilling over BBQ, it can help be a bit more accurate but they are both so similar you might as well get the double BP.
I usually do corrupt pop BBQ on Freddy and the 4th perk is a luxury. I’d probably rather have a minute or two of ruin over sloppy.
Though I almost never run another slowdown in the 4th slot; I usually run something more interesting because it’s not like Freddy really needs 4 slowdown perks.
BBQ has easy, common counterplay. Thrilling Tremors doesn't, either the killer sees you or your gen takes another 16 seconds.
-
Here's a better, more realistic example? Pop, Corrupt, Sloppy Butcher, Thrilling Tremors. Probably on Freddy, Nurse or Spirit. Honestly, kind of a disgustingly strong build. Early game slowdown, late game slowdown, permanently slow healing, and the good pop/thrilling combo that means either 16 extra seconds or 20+regression.
-
Yes, because crossplay = PC.
-
Probably community feedback. Those two perks have been ever so slightly... Umm, there's no polite way to accurately describe it, so I'll just stop using my imagination and say "controversial".
That being said, the OoO changes are not final, and it doesn't seem like they want to make the perk weaker, just less... invasive.
-
Yeah, we've had a month of nothing where we could have had a rift open for people to do. Sure, the most vocal players finish it with ease, but either way it doesn't effect them to leave a rift open a month longer.
-
Not even remotely. Sometimes it's the right play to camp, often it's the right play to slug, and very rarely it's the right play to tunnel. But killers that just do all of these are killers that go against potatoes or altruistic teams that don't want their teammates to be miserable.
-
I have yet to see anyone seriously claiming to play around survivors using DS for free gen time, free unhooks, free totems, etc. Mostly they just claim to power through it.
-
Playing as Slinger is subjective so it's hard to ask if it's fun, but playing against him is an excersize in hoping like hell the killer is a bad shot, because if they aren't then it's just absolutely awful and you can't really do anything but take off running extremely early.
-
Inner Strength, For The People, Bond, WGLF is one of my favourites.
I also like Bond/Kindred/Self Care/Botany Knowledge. Sometimes I'll swap Bond of Desperate Measures.
One of my absolute favourites is Built To Last/Botany Knowledge/Self Care/Bond with a yellow medkit.
-
Equipping such a strong perk doesn't mean you should get to use it. Right now, Deliverence is probably the most balanced second chance perk thanks almost entirely to its activation requirement, although it's synergy with DS is extremely questionable.
-
It's "abusing" if it is an unintended and unfair use of something. Usually when there is little to no effort or risk for an insanely high reward. For example, going for saves with DS/UB. No risk, massive reward.
A lot of people have the mindset of "if I can do it then it's fair." I don't understand it. It just seems like an excuse to play extremely dirty and take zero responsibility.

Definitely? I am not so sure. Do you honestly think survivors only took DS to protect against tunnelling. I think the value of the perk included all its uses, including the offensive ones. With that value removed I just don't see this perk being used anymore at the same frequency.
No, i think most survivors took DS to abuse the hell out of it. Now that that's gone, the game will be better, and the Devs have shown they have gotten over their fear of complicated perk descriptions.
-
It will definitely help. I can even see the devs buffing the timer and/or stun to make it better at punishing tunneling.
I just wish that other perks could be given such clear deactivation criteria. Imagine if BT somehow knew the survivor was using it for bodyblocking, or if NOED wouldn't activate if the killer hadn't done much that trial but not in such a way that gen rushing would prevent it.
-
I don't think it can ever be a viable perk. It's concept is a perk that benefits you for having dead teammates and being the "sole survivor", but... That's not what you want in a perk unless you're sandbagging, which is in itself not something to be encouraged.
The only thing I can think of is splitting up it's power so that you get 55% of the total effect just for equipping the perk, and for each dead survivor you get the additional 15%.
Naturally the maximum aura cancellation would have to be nerfed because 40m of personal aura cancellation is kinda huge just for equipping a perk.
-
Hopefully the Devs will just add a second exit to the basement so it can't be used for free facecamping.
-
I'm glad they don't because it just encourages whattaboutism and that's no good for anyone. Fixing BS is more important than going one-for-one.
-
Kindred already does that but better.
-
I mean, will it? It's still one of the worst perks in the entire game unless you're sandbagging and aiming for a hatch escape.
-
Stridor is good on Spirit, decent on Nurse and Legion, it's a nice counter to Iron Will, and is also by extension kind of useful on hit-and-run builds.
But mostly it's for Spirit.
-
Because whattabouting and tit-for-tat is a thing that humans in general just absolutely adore. I say I hate Undying, someone else says "but DS!!!!!!".
