I wouldn't, those killers are holding back the game just like Devour Hope holds back Hex perks.
I know, wierd take, but every time someone brings up this games survivor problems people tell them to go play Spirit or Nurse, so...
-
A lot of survivor mains are playing killer for BP and being massively hypocritical, and the remaining survivors are being sweaty AF and more than a little toxic.

Just because he takes the concept of a celebrity that kills people while hidden, doesn't mean that he can't be at least a little bit freaky or scary. He could be, for example, a star with its face botched by plastic surgery, something like Michael Jackson or someone similar.
Thats your opinion. Personally, I ndfind the entire concept of some pretty, well dressed entertainer ripping my insides out while laughing about it to be extremely intimidating, but perhaps it's because I'm aware of just how much freedom fame and wealth bring.
Some twat with a botched nose job would look just like that - a twat with a botched nose job. No-one is going to want to assume someone like that isn't a serial killer, he's not beautiful enough to have fame armour.

His entire base design resembles a survivor much more then a killer, which is one of the big issues many people (including myself) had with his design when he was first revealed.
Take away his bat, and he just looks like a typical prestiged survivor skin. Not intimidating in the slightest.
That's the point of the character, he was a serial killer hidden by fame. And it's not like this is a scary horror game, it hasn't been for years and it's certainly not the fault of Trickster.

Yes, a lot. These are the hackers that I normally go against, and I definitely go against more than I can say for sure.

Uhhhh, this is in reference to LOD right? Not like.....entire maps and multiple maps that aren't even on screen right?
I don't know if it loads other maps, but it apparently loads every killer and survivor asset

Yeah but that's only if you cleanse ruin first if you cleanse undying first then undying is gone not ruin with 50% chance but if you have haunted grounds then you have 66% of haunted grounds gone first which is much better chances
You seem to have a fundemental misunderstanding of Hex: Undying.
It doesn't matter what hex totem is cleansed first, because the hex perk that gets deactivated will always be Undying. One totem could be in Shack, the other in a Jungle Gym. If they cleanse the Shack totem first, Undying is deactivated. If they cleanse the Jungle Gym totem first... Undying is still the perk that gets deactivated.
The only Hex perk with a unique interaction with Undying is Haunted Grounds. If they cleanse the specific Undying totem first, nothing happens and Haunted Grounds doesn't activate. You just lose Undying. If they cleanse one of the two Haunted Grounds totems, then Haunted Grounds goes off and the Undying totem becomes another Haunted Grounds totem.

The game is being held back by itself, not by old hardware. It's not a large, complex, ultra-hi-definition game, so why does it require that kind of hardware?
The answer is simple; The optimisation is shite. The code is terrible, we already know that, the visuals are badly implimented, it allegedly loads nearly everything into a trial instead of what it needs...

This is the problem I see with this whole thing. Most of the actual unlocks were going to be frontloaded; people focused on getting all the crowns back when the event started. By this point, DBD's highly active players either do not have crowns left to unlock, or are not interested in unlocking crowns.
If they were going to handle the community goals like this, they should have released the charms and moved onto the next goalpost the second 500k crowns were collected. Letting 2.1m crown unlocks disappear into the void and then setting a new goal 6 days into the event that only players who haven't already finished all their crown hunting can contribute to seems doomed to fail; if not this time, then definitely for the next two goals.
You've articulated my thoughts better than I ever could.
-
Because I'm sick of Nurse and want to play DbD, and I especially hate just how much people stick their neck out for her and crap all over Deathslinger.
People have this insane idea that having the highest initial skill floor makes you the hardest killer. Spoiler alert, it doesn't. Her effort:reward ratio is insane. A mediocre Nurse with only a dozen practice hours can tear through most of their opponents. What other killer can say that? Bubba?
-
I'm hoping for a killer that has 2 stances, one normal or 110 stance and the other a faster, less controllable, more dangerous stance.

If we've pulled 2.6 million crowns thus far,
We can do it again, to pull 300k respectively 600k crowns.
Also, because BHVR wants us to keep playing.
That's kind of the problem, can we? I'd bet that 2.6M was mostly people that speed-ran getting crowns, meaning they don't have many/any left.

There's nothing you can really do against a good Slinger, but most you run into aren't that great. Quickly wiggling from side to side while running is a good tip (not zigzags, just wiggling), as is trying to put objects between you. Naturally, stealth is huge. Prethrowing pallets, not so much, but it's better than nothing.
Edit: also, call their bluffs. If they keep trying to zone you out, they clearly aren't the best because they could have just taken the shot.

@Chaotic_Riddle said:
You can use the event offerings whenever you want, they're not time limited. People are more than likely just saving them for actual worthwhile events like double bloodpoints.
I'm not entirely sure how that's worth any more than using cakes now
-
Yeah, it basically gives a Hex perk 2 totems instead of 1. That's a pretty sweet deal, especially with Ruin, Devour Hope or a full Hex build.
-
Good for you. I just got hardcore camped and tunneled by a Twins after a 5-gen DC, then facecamped by a Clown, and a Nemesis.

Something about the 4v1, probably.

Wraith can easily zoom around unsafe pallets with his newly discovered Formula 1 acceleration. Just uncloak, zoom and hit.
And this is kind of funny, because unsafe pallets were something a lot of killers wanted because they require "mindgaming". But the bing-bong F1 racecar doesn't need mindgames at unsafe pallets. Uncloak, zoom and hit.
He can only do that if he was given control of the pallet before it was dropped. Once it's down, the survivor has the same play as normal - fake it, or vault.

The blink charges actually just limited her skill ceiling. She can’t take advantage of the player’s skill as much because the recharge makes it almost impossible to down multiple survivors. It also really hurt her map control and forces her to play more lame
I think I had 50 hours in this game when I first picked up Nurse (addonless) and started 4king my way to purple and red ranks.
Edit: I was one of the people that bitched and whined about her charge system when it was added. How wrong I was.

I mean, I understand that people who master her power can get hits basically whenever they need to. But at the same time, I COULD survive against Nurse IRL if she was forced to M1 because I walk faster than that. Rofl.
Her movement speed HAS to be some old change they made to cater to whiny survivors. There is no way it was always that way. No way in hell. I mean, it might have been, I don't actually know. It would shock me though.
Yes, she did move faster. She moved at approximately 4.1m/s, purely a bandaid for people that can't aim. And had 3 blinks. And 6 blinks with add-ons. And was changed at the request of everyone, because back then the "mains" didn't really exist and the term was mostly sarcastic and people just wanted to have fun, not get steamrolled trial after trial at the hands of the easiest, most spammable killer in the game.
Thankfully, they added her blink charges. Such a small change, yet such a massive increase to her skill floor.
-
Trapper and hag aren't overly fun, but I don't actually think they have many problems, I just prefer to be able to see what I'm running into.
Edit: Also, ######### bubba.
-
Its kinda funny that people actually believe this. It's like the new survivors that come in complaining about how OP Trapper and Pig are.
If you want to know just how bad Nurse really is, go watch competitive DbD. Yes, it exists, yes, it's pretty stupid when people take it 100% seriously, but it's well worth a watch when they don't.
-
He exists to be a very high-skill killer but doesn't have the same reward as Deathslinger or Billy or whomever else you want to name. He is very mechanically difficult for a relatively mediocre, but still very valuable (hard-capped chase times) reward.
-
RE fans are the only ones who love it. This chapter is supposed to be RE in DbD, not DbD bends over for RE.

It's the effective size of Mothers Dwelling stacked on top of itself. It includes no real loops, just god pallets, god windows, and mega-unsafe pallets. It's dark and difficult to see anyone not wearing bright colours, which includes Undetectable killers. It's a claustrophobic indoor map, so no real power use for most killers, just basic gameplay and holding W by necessity from the survivors. It's hooks are spread out too far, similar in fashion to The Game.
And that's without getting into its labyrinthine layout at all
-
Wraith is weak to predropping unsafe pallets and playing every other tile relatively normally, though clearly with considerarion to his lunge.
Basically, if an m1 killer can get you there after the pallet is thrown, Wraith can get you before it's thrown.
-
Bullying solo players isn't the solution. SWF is fine, it's solo's that need buffed.
-
Apparently people don't like it when you endgame facecamp someone less than 4 minutes into a trial.
They also don't like it when you do the gens and leave when they're 5-gen facecamping someone.
-
When and where, she moves quick enough that the information is only damaging to bad Spirits, as proved by her breathing bug.

-
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

Is it really that bad on console? I play on PC and fortunately have experienced practically no performance issues. Did the last update really shatter the performance on console?
It shattered performance for PC as well, the only ones who aren't feeling it are the ones with extremely high-end setups.
Edit: and it's not because of old or underwhelming hardware, there's literally a thread somewhere around here about optimising the game with steams custom launch settings because the processing power is there, the Devs just suck at coding
-
What kind of entitled BS is that? ######### everyone who owns and plays this game on last-gen consoles? DbD isn't a new release, you can't just rip it away from people that invested time and money into it just to jerk of the Devs.
-
To be fair, she is pretty easy in terms of tactics. Just point and shoot to just behind the survivor and there's nothing they can do. Her skill cap is almost purely mechanical, and she's so strong you don't really have to pay attention to how the game is playing out.
-
Uh-huh, that's sounds so statistically likely.
I guess the years of BM and ignorance from survivor mains, the significant majority of the community, is perfectly acceptable and has absolutely nothing to do with alienating killers?
-

How fast is myers at tier 3 again?
The same speed he is at T2, 4.6m/s

The problem isnt with antiloop killers. The truth is that most people playing Deathslinger, Doc or PH absolutely ######### suck and the whole shift-W meta has its roots with Huntress, Clown, Freddy and even Nurse. I still remember all the people encouraging me to "make distance" on those killers because it's "devestating" to them.
Holding W has been a big part of DbD forever and it's for all the wrong reasons that it's suddenly so popular. It's not because that's the only counterplay these killers have - when was the last time you saw someone bitching about a god Huntress - it's because it's an insanely effective tactic that I've been dealing with on the regular since Oni was released that the community was always inevitably going to pick up on.
-
I see we have another person who despises Plague.
-
I only run Spine chill when I'm watching something on my other screen. Otherwise, my own situational awareness is perfectly fine and I can just use a better perk.
-
None of the shrines are truly random.
-
Zarina. Mmmmmmmm.
But also Jeff, since we share a lot of interests, and Kate, because that and I've never dated another country girl or another musician. We could laugh about townies and come up with dumb riffs for her songs.
In terms of killers, the only one that springs to mind is Suzie, but like 5 years after she grew out of The Legion. I could hold her as she struggles with the wrongs she did.
-
What sci-fi killers would fit without being extremely lame? That's really the big question. Imagine. A Xenomorph in this game - it would be the worst, slowest, least scary xenomorph in existence.
-
It exists purely for RE fans, not DbD fans.
-
RPD is actually considerably larger than Mother's Dwelling. Due to the twists and turns, it's essentially Mother's Dwelling with Temple of Purgation stacked on top.
-
Then killers would have to deal with 24 second chances and survivors would have to deal with 6 slowdown perks.

So far I will agree that the pallets for the most part arent great, there is one in a hallway, that completely cuts it off like the new Game map, but the windows are pretty strong for the most part. It does look nice, but its a 3 story maze, I have literally had 2 different survivors (Red Rank) run around a corner into me, and i down them, because they simply cant tell where the hell i am, both were separate matches. Also one match It was 1v1, both looking for hatch, i could hear it, but had to check literally every room, getting lost in the maze while looking, finally find it on the 3rd story... 3RD STORY #########.
That's not all - parts of that map are so dark you cannot really see anything that's not brightly coloured, and there really are quite a few god pallets. The second-floor back hallway spawned 2 in succession for me.
-
Given how much people have to grind anyway, they should be treated like normal trials. If normal trials suffer because of it, then clearly they are the problem.

Or, y'know...you could just learn the map on DBD, because it's in the game.
I swear, man. Everyone's on here complaining that they're getting lost on RPD and that it's a labyrinth. You know what a solution for that is? Learning the map, like players do in any other game that requires map knowledge.
I don't get lost and I don't find it remotely confusing because I played RE2. Now you guys have the opportunity to learn the map, just like I did, except in DBD. Why are people acting like this map is impossible to learn? It's not.
It's not impossible, no, but it is without question the most confusing map they've ever released because of its immense size and density, and in order to learn it you also have to play on it and that's also not fun either, especially for killers. It's like telling people to do 2 chores in a game they play to have fun.
