I've completed scream just with hooking and I think even downing counts. Atleast that's how it was in previous tomes.
-
Considering how limited the skill check part of spinechill is who really cares? Vault speed and info, thats spinechill.
-
I prefer stealth both to drop chases and avoid them. I'm not exactly the best at chases depending on my experience with particular maps but stealth in general works even if you don't know the map well. Still perks like lightweight can mindgame the ######### out of a killer and turn a single loop mindgame into much more of a vanishing act with no trail to follow. I lose killers pretty frequently since I started running it even without stealthing my way out. The fading trail makes it look like I made a lot more distance than I did and I know as killer if you see faded marks disappearing in front of you a lot of the time it's not worth it to follow because usually that's a lot of distance and if seen in a chase it usually means you got played hard.
-
I find it interesting to play with and against. Especially as it removes collision deadharding through the killer is a heck of mind game sometimes, especially if done from outside the killers fov such as hiding around a corner and popping through them as they are looking for you. Just a brief flicker on the screen and they are gone. A bold but risky maneuver and just another mindgame in the arsenal. Hopping through a pallet lunge to lock the killer on the opposite side of the pallet then they expected to on. Mindgames are a big part of dbd and probably the best part so a mindgame tool that both players can really work around is fun. Some players really use it to it's full and it's just plain fascinating.

Ya a lot of downed survivors are teleporting for me
-
I think it's a bit too strong given how often I get slugged instead of hooked just on the possibility of ds. It warps matches even when it's not present and that imo is a bit too far.
-
I severely struggle with him. Even again full solo groups he announces every to a degree it's easy to coordinate around him even without coms. I think he's got such strong negatives that his positives aren't quite enough to fully compensate. If you master him to stretch everything you can maybe get enough out of his kit to compensate. Without that though I tend to have a better time using a killer I've never played before without perks than I do my Demo I tried really hard to love, bought cosmetics for, and got to 36. Barely play him anymore. He's super cool but getting wrecked is no fun.
-
Hell yes! That'd be awesome.
-
For survivor solo I'd highly recommend focusing on emblems rather than escape as you can control your emblems better than a full escape.
For killer meta perks or get wrecked. Matchmaking is aweful so you really need perks or power to slow the game. It's why I started playing Pig so slowdown was baseline. Actually havet time to enjoy the match and practice loops that way.
-
I get a lot of use out of broken key. It's an info item and does it's job well. If it didn't look exactly like a real key I'd run it more often but all keys are mori bait.
-
Right now I just run sloppy, surveillance whispers, and nurses. She's pretty good at snagging the first hit, not as great in a chase so I tend to hit and run a lot. Whispers saves a LOT of time searching and avoids crouching unnecessarily. I do think having monitor in there somewhere so terror is smaller than whispers would be optimal for a steath pig build but I don't have it. Would probably replace nurses with it.

It helps as a learning tool. They appear very different from pallets and windows when you see the auras, you wouldn't mistake one for the others.
Shame it's not a learning tool actually available for new players :/ It would have been pretty useful when I was new instead of feeling quite so helpless as a newbie.
-
I think it's a miracle there are people that can exist to be so blind as to even suggest something like this. If you want to lose a massive chunk of the player base of a paid game this is a spectacular idea! Definitely the quickest way to kill it aside from simply shutting off the servers.
-
Really looking forward to it too. Hopefully it will help.
-
Stakeout is pretty low for just being a better autodidact that also helps for gens. Practically a reusable instaheal with the right medkits addons too. Can't seem to find inner strength on there which is just better self care.
For the guy above, spinechill works through walls. It's a very helpful infoperk
-
Dear god no, just overload every map with pallets jesus. I can't imagine anything less fun then an endless spam of pallet after pallet. Just no no no and no!
-
It's pretty rare for me. They have to have REALLY earned it by being the bane of my existence or been helpful like this one girl who helped me practice my hatchets and I let her crawl out.
-
Down with breakable walls! Killers simply don't have time for this boring, poorly implemented crap. Just throwing infinites back in with manditory time wasters is absolutely the worst way to implement walls and exactly what I expected them to be. A huge waste of time and disappointment.
-
Ya matchmaking is absolutely retarted once you hit green. Not that it wasn't garbage lower but reds are anything but uncommon to face at green.
-
Here I thought it was just a stealth killer thing because people walk through me when I'm crouching as pig all the time. Hella disorienting when a Claudette rounds a corner and just phases through your face.
-
I'll have to try that next time. Was just the last two survivors alive camping in there because their lives depended on it and they dragged the game out a hell of a lot longer than they should have been able to.
-
I assume seal is for slugging. Probably be better off with knockout I think it's called. If you don't have ot I suppose it's an alternative, if a poor one.
-
I have that problem switching between demo and pig all the time. I whiff a lot right after changing killers. Never happens to me on trapper though.
-
Maximum oof is all three crouching next to the hook the killer is camping when only one gen is left and sit there for a hook state and a half.
-
Think pig is a little bit higher deathslinger is definitely not above huntress at all. Doctor should be much higher and trapper probably lower. I'll probably be one of the few to agree demo should be low though as I've always found him hyper weak to just getting genrushed as no survivor ever has to have doubts about where he is or what he's doing. Even solos are more organized against him than any other killer.
-
Honestly ot probably would have been better for balance from the get go. Then we wouldn't have stuff like ds and unbreakable. Survivor choice would actually matter so they'd have more flavour.
-
We got pig don't we?

Same comment. The killer should be able to see the aura of his totems until he turns on his hex or whatever he has. I think that an animation of about 4sec would be indicated, that you waste time and that survivors have the opportunity to see you.
You clearly didn't read my post or have never played demo if you think I'm talking about an animation
-
Sounds like a good idea honestly. Would prevent the 20s totem losses and no more right in the open active totems. Could even just make it a ranged thing where you look at it and an arrow goes above it indicating the totem it will activate similar to demo's portals. Would require killer to have vision of their dull totems though.
-
Passive phasing should definitely atleast let the spirit know when it's happening. It really is more effective than people give it credit for but without a way for the spirit to even know it's happening it's definitely hard to capitalize on.
-
Ya matchmaking is so disgustingly bad it dramatically effects my enjoyment of the game. They really need to work on it.
-
They should really let you deliverance if you have it active as last survivor.
-
It really should. Never liked that survivors bbq was a dead slot in match.
-
I dunno man you should play survivor a bit more, even a group of solos can hold m1 on a gen and end the match in 3 minutes. Waste of que time and addons for everyone with matches that short, it's not fun for anyone.
-
As cool a mechanic as it is being the only killer afflicted by it, especially one so utterly addon dependant to even be functional seems wrong. He's already weak, seems especially punishing to long stun him with a simple flashlight.
-
You can say that all you want but if I see a key I'm still going to mori your ass. You get free escapes I'll take my free kills on you. It's only fair.
-
Saloon, by far Saloon. The way they implemented breakable walls is just a frustrating waste of my time. It could have theoretically been an interesting addition but it sure as ######### isn't.
-
Borrowed time requires a terror radius. Every killer with a suppressable terror radius prevents Borrowed Time.
-
That's completely intentional, same with Freddy's lullaby.
-
Sloppy for killer and Tenacity for Survivor. They are my go to's pretty much always.
-
I like the idea, I wanna kill people with mining tools. Not quite sure I understand how you envision the power working but seems like it would be an interesting liscence to put in the game.

You don't even need a perk to counter BBQ.
Hide behind a gen.
Go one direction, count to 4 then change direction
Be within 32 meters of the hook
Last but not least. Get off the gen and get in a locker. You have all the tools needed to counter BBQ. Stop asking for more buffs. It's only useful on killers with high mobility. Most people use it for the BP bonus.
This post is less about BBQ than it is about distortion being a bit subpar because of how limited it is.
-
Honestly the whole BBQ for double points was a bit of an odd decision. Survivors perk is JUST farm while the killer one is a paid dlc perk that actually is pretty darn useful on top of easy points.
-
Having them come back by personally completing a gen would be nice. Wouldn't be so easy to get back as to make the tokens meaningless like unhooking or escaping a chase would be while still extending the usefulness of the perk.
-
I definitely prefer ones that promote alternative play styles rather than simply being op garbage like oneshot hatches.
-
Heh nice. Looks like it'd be hell on meat plant.
-
A failed grab is usually just a free hit anyway so I wouldn't exactly call it a fail in those cases where they do spot me last minute. Just looking at a gen gives Spinechillers a free warning 100% of the time so it's not like there's any benefit to not mind gaming the perk as killer, even as a non stealth killer. It's just another mindgame.
If spinechill was just LOS it'd be pretty terrible. It's range is perhaps a bit long but I don't ever find it too much of a problem to face as killer. Premonition on the other hand is useless because it activates from way too far. I've never had a single activation of premonition ever help me at all. The killer is miles away when it procs and usually not even coming.

That's gimpy at most. I've attempted that a few times and it only worked twice.
Sightlines are VERY important for it. Gotta remember that third person cam. Even the laziest Spinechiller has their camera pointed somewhere. Best way to know where is best to approach from, especially sideways is to play survivor and get a feel for it against ghostface and pig. Flickering your camera over two often can be a giveaway too. Getting a feel for that too from the survivor perspective is important as well. Gotta make your glances look like just happenstance and irregular. I run spinechill all the time so I have a good feel for what spinechill activity indicates.
-
Honestly surprised. Perhaps it's because I run surveillance so in general I can tell very easily if someone hops off a gen if I look at them too much.
-
I think there is one flaw to your plan. The moonwalk. It only took me two matches as Pig to realize I should always crouch to a gen sideways or backwards. Spinechill players are usually the easiest to grab off gens as a stealth killer because they rely on Spinechill too much.
