I do think it's weird when killers have perks that aren't useful on them. Monitor being a big one. I don't think plagues on that list because infectious procs with corrupt purge and intervention is just good. Dark devotion is definitely a unique perk, had it's uses but definitely not as much on plague herself but it certainly isn't entirely useless or anything. Atleast plague has some synergy with a slow early game and snowball. If you want bad go look at demogorgon. Surge doesn't even apply on shred downs! The killers own mechanics work against its perks in a similar way to doctor and monitor.
-
Probably because as far as perks go it works, it's solid, and probably the only thing someone without slowdown perks can use. I don't use it because it feels cheap but can't blame people for using it.
-
For the most part doesn't everyone? Mori's for keys, sloppy or plague for medkits, toolboxes meh or perhaps basement build, I def won't pick hag into flashlights.
-
There's so many people streaming like whats the point. Half my games have some ttv in there somewhere.
-
Pig most fun for sure as gen grabs never get old, hats are satisfying, and snoot boops. Always feel like I have all the tools I need.
Least fun? Probably billy just because I'm not a super high sensativity guy so I always end up doing a spin into a wall every time I rev a chainsaw.
-
Ya as killer you pretty much need to assume every match is against a full red rank squad no matter what rank you are. It's been true since rank 20 and it's never changed.
-
Haha ya happens to me all the time. It's always the moment you're not prepared.
-
Things seem fine to be honest. Taking out a bunch of infinites helps a lot. If a Survivor team outplays me I lose, if I outplay them I win. Usually if I lose I know why, things seem fine.
-
I always go for the slug. Forces someone to come pick them up or atleast forces an unbreakable. Either way they are out of the fight for a bit and probably drawing another person in as well. Hovering a bit in the area especially as a stealth killer can punish both quite well. I've slugged back down a lot of unbreakables. Keeps em away from my jigsaw boxes as well hopefully activating their hat if it's not already.
A slugged person is bait, eating a ds is just giving a free health state imo. They'll just run during the stun and you'll have no one near you again. Everything you can do that draws survivors to you is in your interest imo. You want as many close to you as possible as often as is possible.

Here I thought this would be about her duration addons improving her recovery, better than her recovery addons.
-
Demo really does have pretty sad addons. It's hard to be excited for unlocking any of his non brown addons. Too much portal focus for his very sub par portals.

1. Pig (main) Solid slow down, stealth, and once you learn all her dash tips n tricks a great power. A big part of me was simply frustrated playing killer until I picked her up and then everything changed. Sneaky, solid hit and run, bloody surveillance for maximum Gatekeeping. Just love her to bits and games actually last long enough to enjoy while playing her. I also just love watching the choices people make when on a timer and it's live or die. Will they go for the unhook with an active trap and risk dieing, if I burn down the collapse timer and walk away leaving them the option to risk it all to unhook their teamate and run to a gate with less than a second to spare or abandon them. I just enjoy the whole Saw theme way too much and it creeps into the rest of my gameplay wanting to watch just how much risk people are willing to take to save their friends. I want to see what choices people make. I'm also good enough at Pig to indulge myself like that and still pip easily so I can let myself have a bit of personal fun. You'd be surprised how many people can die to reverse beartraps.
2. Myers. He's just pretty strong I guess and running low terror radius in t2 can cause a lot of surprises for the poor survivors. I like to capitalize on surprise.
3.Plague Guess I'm sort of decent with her I guess ish? I don't exactly have a lot of killers leveled yet so I guess she just sorta gets it for free despite needing a lot of practice as of yet. I do like that she forces people to make a choice though, a choice that can often doom them and their team.
4. Nurse. Took awhile but capable of getting 4ks with her now. She's a lot of work to pull off but certainly functional.
5. Trapper. Was my original main, always a bit of a struggle but I can win even against a bit chiller swf types. If he wasn't so darn slow to try and set up I'd probably put him higher on the list but as is he's a little slow for the speed of games.
6. Demogorgon. Only play him for dailies these days. His shred is just a worse pig ambush and his portals are sub par. Feels too dependent on save the best for last for any relevance at all. I love how he looks, I love the non human nature, but no matter how hard I try he just feels underwhelming and because of that too stressful to play regularly. Waste of my cosmetics money.
Those are all the ones I currently play. Most of them I don't own or haven't had the chance to unlock perk slots for yet. Not including Bubba because I was only ever farming with bbq on him and I doubt I'll find much reason to play him now that I have it as a teachable.
-
Darkness helps a lot with stealth.
-
Disagree. Cosmetics are a good bit of funding for a long term game like this. You don't need cosmetics and there's actually a pretty large selection of free and shards cosmetics already. They are pretty generous with that as is. Most games aren't this generous.
-
God not looking forward to dealing with that. Been playing a lot of swf since the hotfix but by that it sure seems like we're due for another bloody hotfix already. Killer and paying close attention to audio go hand on hand. Hearing someone breath from their hiding spot can be the thing that wins the game as killer.
-
I wish I had these problems of too many blood points lol.

I’m a Demmie main and all I really want is
- make a him quieter his stomps and screams give to much information to survivors.
- get rid of the alerts whenever he uses a portal
- like you said improve the shred a tiny a bit
- edit again like you said rework his add on his only good are commons and uncommons
This post in general. I mean I could live with the screams but the portal sound makes it WAAAAYYYY too telegraphed.
-
Was it swf? It seems to be matchmaking for the lowest survivor in the lobby lately.
-
I wish the mori curve was reversed. Seriously ebony being the most common by a titanic margin is rediculious.

Oh, do you blink in place?
There are many, MANY dead zones the devs need to fix.
But at the moment, she's at the Rock Bottom of any maintenance. They haven't addressed any of her issues.
The only deadzones I've found are the walls of the map. If you run the plaid you'll realize it's pretty easy to replicate blinking in place anywhere at anytime by angling your screen down a little. I think it's from the blink trying to find a floor bellow the map that doesn't exist when angled down too far so it blinks in place. It is something you can do on accident because you are much higher up than the survivors so you'll be angled slightly down just to look at them most of the time. Drift down just a little more and bam, stationary blink and every map feels like it has deadzones. Some areas the angle is not far down at all for some reason so it's definitely something to keep in mind. I've also found some objects blink obstruction is thicker than the model, sometimes by a lot so it could be throwing off muscle memory blinks.
-
Would just recommend plaid flannel. Been running it and I think all the "bugs" people complain about are just target errors. Sometimes extremely useful things when you know how they work and when they happen. Only stationary long blink when you want to mindgame someone, always be on the correct floor and on the correct side of the object. Makes her feel way more reliable as a killer once you turn all those things into tools not random ways to screw yourself.
-
My first 4k with nurse.
-
Mmm I think you got around to the actual point of so many perks being paywalled. You really don't get much to work with base game especially as most of the initial team of killers in particular have a lot of truly terrible perks and the generics are a very low quantity affair with honestly not much going for many of them either. It took a lot of dlc buying before I could get a happy loadout on killer. If more generic perks were as badass as sloppy butcher things might be better but there are also zero gen slowdown perks base game which is just nightmarish.
-
Trapper will always have a rough time with that. People helping people out of traps, mass disarms, ect. Sometimes bloody coil can help because only the injured ones will disarm which you can use against them as it's predictable behaviour and means more traps overall stay up but that's about it.
-
I think he's too many killers in one with anything that would really take skill to use given pretty much free like the full speed snare placement.
-
Spirit definitely is quite something to go against. About all you can do is try and keep track of when her power should be or shouldn't be up. Hiding in your own scratch marks is decent, as is fixated and just speed walking away.
-
Pray the killer goes for the idiot and that the killer only slugs me. I'll crawl my ass to the other side of the map if possible.
-
The solution is really to just never run the perk and pretend it doesn't exist. It was a terrible idea for a perk and unless they made it infinite duration or alternatively map wide but temporary there's nothing they could ever do to fix it.
-
Interesting choice in build, I suppose you found the use for WoO as yes, running into a broken pallet sucks. Out of curiosity does it highlight fake pallets?
Usually I like Stakeout and Tenacity for my solo play. Just to shorten the match for stakeout and to make sure if I get slugged I can drag myself to someone to pick me up because in solo que people don't want to take the risk to pick up a slugged person. I've seen people bleed half way out without being picked up as killer and that's something I've never had to experience. Avoids a hook state too. Usually solo que teams big problem is too slow gens for the speed of hook states. I do my best to reduce both issues.
Maps are actually super good in solo que too as you can place markers for other players to come get heals from and reveal totems, chests, gens to everyone and share information in ways that usually require coms. Actually makes things like prove thy self useful in solo que.
-
Ya I think survivors are seriously silly about a lot of their rules for killers. If you get back on working a gen both your not getting tunneled or snoop boop protection go away.
-
Billy, wraith, and huntress are the ones facing the main bugs currently. Wouldn't worry about anyone else.
-
It's just basic training wheels. Ought to be available to all new players but it's not. Wouldn't recommend it if you know tile layouts as having all those yellow auras is pretty distracting and can sometimes block important things.
-
She's pretty unique and has her 1-2 combo for nearly instant downs. A short range hatchet followed by a basic attack for that super short cooldown double whammy. She's definitely more of a snowball character than a gen pressure character given how slow she is though. Sounds like you got the snowballing down though. She's probably one of the best killers if you are experienced enough. She can also beat down toxic bully squads pretty well which is always nice.
-
Considering how varied they've managed to make teleporting I think it's fine. Not every killer has to just be run and m1. Seriously hag is pretty crazy unique with the baiting and teleport traps, watching a skilled hag is a crazy. Mindfuck of glory.
If teleporting by itself was just broken Demogorgon would be good not terrible and utterly reliant on STBFL for relevance.
-
I still think perks like Windows of Opportunity and Zanshin Tactics should have been generic perks so new players could actually use them. Putting training wheels behind dlc is silly.
On another note shrine could probably use an expansion. There's so many perks now a 4 slot rotation seems pretty useless. Especially so as it's almost always packed full of base game character perks or just plain garbage perks. Buffing some of the garbage perks so they aren't garbage could help too. As a relatively new player shrines only ever been a frustration for me, every rotation is just more bad perks for the most part. You'd think it'd be a pretty important way for newer players to get perks but it's just not because the shrine itself is just kinda #########.

because you can actually catch survivors there, despite the fact you are an unskilled player?
Because they are better than deadzones and easier to fit in a map without overloading it with super safe pallets. You sound very insecure, try not to project them on others so much.
-
Honestly think we need more unsafe pallets, those tend to actually be fun.
-
Given how hard it is to get a full perk set not very often. I don't have many characters at all with perk slots let alone perks. Game pretty much forces having mains.
-
Nearly 100% of the time. I like to 4k.
-
I think my teammates hate me when I go and bring The Game as survivor but with a perk like stakeout it's one hyper short match. Never ending great 2% skill checks. Probably the gen rushing map of the century if you perk for it. Honestly I usually escape on it though usually I have to finish 4 gens myself because people be hiding.
-
Mmm ya games going up and down a lot is pretty rough to go through. The whole survivors spread out on 4 gens and popping three for first chase can feel hopeless. Honestly I think they nerfed the wrong aspect of doing gens. Having multiple survivors in one spot is a HUGE advantage for killer but they disincentivised survivors grouping up this patch.
-
Every time I've ever said it was good on the forums atleast one comment called it a crutch. After the buff they finally have zero excuses lol.
-
Usually I get irridesant for stealth mostly. Crouching behind a pallet in a room while a frustrated killer opens all 6 lockers in it gets you serious points.

Stake out was never a crutch... Plus it's really bad now.
Stop pretending it was nerfed lol.

Which the funny thing about the mori daily is, killing someone using something like rancor does count for the daily. Got it done that way on spirit a fair few times. Of course for someone like clown or a killer you might not play alot on. Well might be easier to get a mori, than spending who knows how many blood points to get a perk just for one daily.
If I owned spirit or the perk I'd probably use rancor for it as it seems like a fun perk but I don't. I'm still relatively new so have very few teachables making things pretty rough sometimes. Until then mori time for those.
-
Sometimes if I just really need to get that mori daily done on a weak killer I do so if I don't think there's any other way to win. Not going to say no to 60k bp even if it's on someone I don't want to play.

They busted him pretty completely this patch with horrendous bugs.

Yes

Nothing laughably bad about Pig, stealth, slowdown, strong antiloop and mindgame. Her ambush is actually pretty powerful once you learn how to use it to completely invalidate loops on many pallets, especially otherwise safe ones. Demo has nothing Freddy doesn't do better and is just a slow setup killer with poor chases and honestly doesn't really benefit much from his portals especially if survivors are on point pulling him in multiple directions.
