Ok, 20 second chase because some jerkwad ran up and unhooked right in front of me or 2 seconds after I hooked someone then the DS user just body blocks me from hitting the one who saved. Then you have people like me and my friends, who will run up immediately with BT and DS up (if its up) so no matter who the killer picks to chase they lose. But the killer was totally tunneling and camping right? The point is DS is much more than a 5 second stun. It's 60 seconds to make ANY play you want and waste the killers time, then a 5 seconds stun followed by a chase that would NEVER have happened without the stun AND free health state.

"outplayed for 40 seconds", you mean ran to one of the 4 pallets nearby or the 3 windows? OH, or maybe you meant the huge loop in the middle of the map. Yeah ok lol.

Moronic responses about how killers don't have to play differently just because 1 person brought in DS and is abusing it and so it shouldn't be changed bother me. I do use the perk because that 5 second stun or 60 seconds of free reign are pretty strong. But if you don't use the perk then it being changed shouldn't have you shook 🤔also I never said anything about mori's, but fyi those are 1 time use very rare offering while DS can be reused every game, and a better comparison would be keys (even though keys can be kept, but thats another topic). But like you said mori's are "in a game to use. Get over it."

I used Legion and Ghostface in high ranks and rarely got DS, and when I did it was usually because the survivors were so bad and got downed so fast DS was still up lol. Other times people are just throwing themselves at my because they have it and Im sorry I cant tell the 4 Blendettes or 4 Kates dressed the same apart and/or I don't have a 60 second timer for every survivor going. Also like I said, I got DS, Im sprinting for that unhook because what can the killer do about it? Nothing. Still got the 4k in a lot of those situations.

DS is not a problem for me personally most of the time. That's because I play in a very un-optimal way because that's how I like to play (I dont like standing next to a hook just waiting). Without some fundamental change in how killers kill survivors (you know, their only goal) tunneling will be THE best way to kill everyone in most cases. You might as well ask survivors "hey, do a gen only to 30% then jump on one across the map" or give killers a perk similar to DS like "every time a survivor finishes a gen that survivor becomes exposed for 60 seconds". But, as a survivor player, or just a player in general, I can see how the perk gets abused to hell and back. Especially in conjunction with other things in the game.

A perk can have multiple uses, but DS has too many for how strong it is. Survivors gen rush (aka just doing gens, like they're supposed to) and hook bomb and claim it is a "legit strategy" but killers are supposed to hook everybody once before chasing anyone a second time and only sacrifice or mori when the survivors say so, otherwise they're toxic. The survivors are supposed to do gens, but the gens go to fast. The killer is supposed to kill survivors, in the current kill system, tunneling IS the fastest way.

Im not saying or did I even imply it should be easy 4k every game, thats dumb. The delusion that every killer tunnels and camps is tedious, the delusion that gen times and map design combined is not a core issue in the game is tedious, the delusion that against skillful survivors if you're playing anything lower than upper mid tier you still have a lot of control is tedious.

I guess we should just never change anything ever because they're "in a game to use. Get over it." Bring back old MoM, old machine gun builds, old nurse, old legion, vacuum pallets, and everything else. Nothing was ever too strong or broken guys, just leave it.

Stop putting words in peoples mouths and throwing around meaningless insults as that doesn't do anything as they will just do the same back. You're also throwing around a lot of double standards and showing a VERY strong survivor bias, not helping your case either. The issue at hand is DS be doin too much. Has nothing to do with mori's or 4k or gen rush, at least my post didn't so please don't reply to me with every issue you ever had with every killer ever.

I doubt any of this will get through as you clearly have your mind made up and are trying to keep survivor as the boring snoozefest it currently is with how easy it is to play because of the power disparity between the two roles.

Make a second perk category, like exhaustion, called "second chance" or something. Throw BT, DS, Adrenaline, ect. in it and have them disable every other second chance perk once they activate. Whoo, a lot of problems solved, my build wouldn't change, and maybe we'd see more perk diversity.

Give survivors a total of x hooks or hook time as a TEAM that way camping becomes really bad as a strategy and tunneling would be worse then finding someone else while someone is on the hook unless survivors rambo mission to the hook like they do now.

I see you have now altered your DS chase to 20 seconds to try and distance yourself from the very obvious tunnelling that you were doing in the example from your previous post. How has the survivor had a free health state from DS? If you had left them alone they would have got healed, that's 2 health states, you chose to tunnel right off the hook so they couldn't be healed and DS gives them their fair 2 health states it isn't free because they had to use a perk slot for it. Stop this idea that DS is free. It isn't, it costs a perk slot.

I'm a red rank survivor and a red rank killer..... why the ######### would I be biased towards survivor? I play both sides and just play the game for what it is. A game. I don't need to be hyper serious about every second I am in a game. The fact that people like you on here who are massive cry babies when it comes to playing killer and every survivor perk that is available always default to "you're biased towards survivor" whenever anyone says your ideas are wrong, just because I don't subscribe to your bollocks about how every survivor perk needs nerfing because it isn't fair on you is not survivor bias. Sorry to disappoint you by discarding your theory.

DS is a 60 second tumer that is correct but why should you or any other player get to dictate how that perk is used? As a survivor I don't tell the killer what perks he can and can't use or how they are used, has anyone ever said you can't use pop goes the weasel on the same gen twice? Has anyone ever said you can only use devour hope to mori someone once? No, but killers expect survivors to only use perks in a way they deem acceptable. Why should I get the opportunity to decide what perks the survivor uses and in what manner they get used when I am a killer?

The 60 second counter doesn't escape the fact that the stun is 5 seconds the actual effect of the perk is a 5 second stun. Laugh it up about how they used x pallets or x windows or x loop the fact is that if they bought another 40 second chase from you off a 5 second stun, they HAVE outplayed you. You kept on that same person, desperate to get them whilst everyone else is fully healthy smashing gens. Your choice, your failure. Nobody else's.

There is no requirement to hook every person before you hook someone a second time. My own personal rule on that is if the survivor is healed after coming off the hook then I am fine with going for them again if I come across them, 2 health states is fair. Obviously if I am the Plague many don't heal so I just give them a fair amount of time before I consider putting them on the hook again, this may involve leaving them on the floor if I run in to them quickly and letting them get revived but like I said I don't play like a prick and don't have any desperate need to get 4 kills no matter what. Even though I often do get 4kills.

The second chance perk category is also a stupid idea. Do we ban killers from using more than 1 hex? Do we ban killers from being allowed to bring in multiple slowdown perks? Every time someone gets hit and thanatophobia gets activated, ruin gets disabled until that person is healed. When pop goes the weasel is used all other slowdown perks and add ons are disabled for 40 seconds. Sloppy butcher and coulorophobia can't be used together one cancels out the other. If such a think happened you would be up in arms about how unfair it is on killers, your bias is showing far more brightly than any bias you claim I have.

My issue with the DS rework that people who play killer constantly beg for? Because the majority of these people who beg for changes to survivor perks and survivor add ons are just ######### at the game. So many of them cried about toolboxes and how a commodious could blitz through multiple gens at light speed and they dodge lobbies if they saw a toolbox. The toolboxes got nerfed massively and what happened? The same killers came on here crying about how toolboxes weren't the problem, gens are still going too fast and now prove thyself needs changing, gen times need to be increased and maps need to be shrink to the size of a postage stamp etc. There will never be an end to the survivor nerfs because ######### killers will always struggle. The good killers in the meantime get an easier ride as each survivor perk and item gets put in the toilet. I am sick of hearing the constant bitching and moaning about perks and characters. I say that from the perspective of killers moaning about survivors and survivors moaning about killers. Just get on with the game, stop bitching and moaning about every little detail!

I won't be responding any further as you're incapable of seeing anything beyond a desperate need for 4 kills. Can't play without getting hit by DS and having a tantrum? Maybe don't play the game anymore! Can't lose without having a tantrum? Maybe don't play the game anymore!

Just because I use the word "evidence" doesn't mean I'm making this a court of law. Don't strawman.

You made a claim, told someone to prove you wrong, they didn't feel like it because... why would they, and then you went about stating how you must be right because they didn't feel like wasting their time to appease you.

You did the very same thing to me, in that you made a claim that I must obviously berrate killers who disconnect because of my opinion of this situation, again with no evidence, and also again assuming that I'm an avid watcher of Otz, when I'm not. You're just throwing wild assumptions out, whether they actually stick or not, and making assumptions that what you say must be true.

Yes, you can go ahead and make all the assumptions you want, but if you're going to throw out assumptions and make claims on them like they're fact when you hold no water to them to actually being true, then you just end up looking silly and like a fool, and I'd argue that doing so is childish behavior in itself.

Yes, it's a game. I understand that and I think you do too. The difference between us is that we have different responses and viewpoints to "it's just a game".

The word evidence didn't come in to my comment regarding a court of law. That came in because I am free to make as many assumptions as I like as I am not in court. I don't have to prove anything. I am free to look at a situation and make any assumption I want because this is an internet forum, not a courthouse. I made an assumption as I am well within my right to do and then all of you came crawling out to defend Otz because he missed a hit and had a tantrum.

Tag turned up to say I have to prove my assumption that he doesn't disconnect when a bug favours him. I said no, you find proof that he does disconnect when a bug favours him and then you can challenge my assumption. To which he responded no. So because his side of the discussion favoured the angle you wanted which is that Otz is fine to act like a child when a bug goes against him you decided I had to prove my assumption as fact. Which I don't have to do at all. I'm happy with my assumption that he is happy to capitalise on a bug that works in his favour but acts like a spoilt child when things go against him, the latter has video proof at the start of this thread.

    Have a good evening.

Those 3 seconds were enough to allow the survivor to even make it to the pallet. The slowdown from stalking still effects him even though the meter isnt progressing.

She didn't make it to the pallet. She only got to the pallet because he missed. Nothing would have changed, if he missed earlier or not she made it to that pallet after the miss. Had he landed the hit, she would not have made it.

  • I used to use small game but Inwanted other perks instead so most of the time I just take a green map, green increase range, yellow track killer belongings.

If I do a rainbow map I stick on the purple thing that shows the ap aura to everyone and increased range of the map.

Do a lap of the map early on in the game and then start showing the aura to others so they can do the ones near them. When down to one gen, have another look, check they're all gone and that's it.

No, you can't say that as a fact, because you don't have the evidence to prove that is a fact. It is an assumption and nothing more. You cannot state anything without proving it first.

That's like saying that because someone has a game ban on their Steam account, that they -- because of that one ban, that they must cheat in every other game they play as well.

I can't state that as a fact to get them banned from those other games that they play. I cannot use their one instance of being punished for cheating, to get them banned for cheating in those other games. One instance of cheating doesn't mean they cheated everywhere else. Such a claim requires evidence. Something I wouldn't have, couldn't prove without actual evidence and proof, and neither should you until you go get some.

I didn't say anything about it being a fact. I made an assumption as I stated in my post. I'm not in a court of law right now and I get to make any assumptions I like. Just like you people assuming I don't like Otz because I think he acted like a spoilt child when in fact I just don't like people acting like a spoilt child.

    It's a ######### game. Start understanding that.

I have to say you are the most boring person on this thread so far, the entitlement that seethes from your comments is a surefire sign that you don't care about what other people say as your always going to come up with some kind of statement that fits into your agenda, well if you don't want to have any reasonable conversation then stop posting in threads. As most of your responses are pointless or covering the same ground which basically revolves around hating on Otz even through clearly he's better than you. ;)

I don't hate Otz at all. I couldn't give a flying ######### about Otz. I'm just sick of people pasting in a video of a streamer disconnecting or losing a game because they didn't protect their gens well enough and everyone falling over themselves to praise the streamer as if they're the second ######### coming and as if that proves there are problems in the game. A streamer is just the same as everyone else who plays the game. A person playing a game.

I don't watch Otz, in fact I don't watch any streamer. I've had a look at Tru3 when people kept harping on about him. Didn't find him engaging in the slightest. Otz I have seen this 20 second clip where he had a tantrum and maybe one or two other clips on here that people have posted but for the life of me I couldn't tell you what they were regarding as I wasnt particularly interested. EntityLeftHand can't understand about 95% of what he is saying as the voice has been distorted so much. I have even played against him a few times. He was a decent and fair killer, I'll give him that. I haven't seen videos of him moaning about every aspect of the game so that is a huge bonus and no videos of him disconnecting for missing a hit either.

I would have said the behaviour in that game was childish no matter who it was. It is you and other Otz defenders who are saying I just hate Otz but I actually hate the behaviours that are being displayed in the video not the person who is displaying the behaviour. That didn't go my way so I quit. ######### everyone else, I decide if the game goes ahead or not.

Sorry to disappoint you guys that I don't actually have any vendetta against your idol. I just don't like how childish a lot of players on this game are.

If his fans are saying he has disconnected one time and I have that on a video, then I can use that to state he has taken advantage of bugs that favoured him and been happy to carry on the game.

No you can't. You can only use that to say that he has disconnected on stream/video.

Give it up, you have been the most boring Otz defender I have encountered on this thread so far. We have him disconnecting when something went against him and based on that I am also going to assume he disconnects a lot more often because it was such a small thing to cause a disconnect. Maybe it is his only one on stream, I don't really believe it will be, but I am very certain if he is playing off stream he has disconnected many times.

I'm not responding to any more of your responses as they are pointless and just covering the same ground which basically revolves around Otz being the best player ever who we can use to champion fixes because if EVEN he is disconnecting then it must be serious. Which is a load of crap.

The game is broken filled with bugs and it's like what you saw in the video it can make the game miserable and broken, at least survivors can kill themselves on the hook, but killers have to spend the entire ******* match playing until the survivors are done with their fun, let me ask you how fun is a game where you literally can't blink because the devs can't fix their game? It doesn't help the survivors waste the entire game with one gen left farming me for blood-points until they get bored and finally leave.

Why can't I get a surrender button like survivors when a bug occurs that causes them to not play the game normally? Like just yesterday I played a survivor match where my hud wasn't there and the opening map name was glitched indefinitely, but I could just find the killer and off myself on the hook, because I couldn't see skillchecks or get trap indications.

Do you not think that based on that 20 second clip it is VERY dramatic for him to disconnect? He was not able to stalk for a few seconds and then he could stalk, he missed a hit and that was enough for him to say these survivors don't get to play this game because I didn't get the hit I wanted. The missed hit is what triggered him to disconnect.

That is a lot different to having a game where you can't blink at all or where you can't see skillchecks. I have never had the blinking issue but I have had invisible skillchecks and I just carried on playing anyway. Is it really worth having a meltdown over? I actually found it quite funny, especially if I managed to hit the skillcheck.

I guess your surrender button is opening the gates the moment those gens get done(which according to most killers on these forums is around 3 minutes after the game starts) starting the EGC timer and then they're gone.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1173378#Comment_1173378

Nope, sorry to ruin your fun and the basis for your argument, but I've not once chastised a killer for disconnecting because of a bug. Only killer I've chastised is one who disconnected because he refused to break the pallet I dropped, trying to tier 3 blood lust me, still couldn't hit me, then raged quit by the time the fourth generator popped and started insulting me in the end-game chat that survivor is such an easy role and all I can do is run around in circles, which, if he hadn't even begun insulting me, I wouldn't have said anything anyway. It's just a game, sometimes frustrating matches for one side happen, and I just move onto the next match. I simply don't care. Why would I waste my time berating and insulting someone for such a trivial thing? It seems like a waste of time and energy. Even less so now that DC penalties exist.

I've been screwed over by bugs that gave the killer the advantage. I don't expect the courtesy for the killer to let me go to "right the wrong" so to speak, but it's a wonderful courtesy when it happens. I've done the same courtesy back to killers, such as when I saw a killer get stuck inside a generator, that I tapped the generator, so he could kick it again, and get unstuck. Flaunting against someone who's powerless because the game is a piece of crap isn't something that I'm interested in.

I don't care about winning or losing. I just want a fair and fun match. That's what I seek with for with this game. If the killer isn't having that and leaves, then oh well. I'll take my free 5k BP and I'll look for another match and wish the Killer better luck in the next game and suggest that they maybe take a break for now to help clear their head. It's not a big deal. A little bit of empathy can go a long way. Sometimes it works, sometimes I get told to stfu for talking. Oh well.

I'm sorry that the concept of someone not being a hypocrite or an #########, or god forbid as someone who plays both sides, is somehow understanding and that this concept is apparently inconceivable for you, but I assure you that's just how I am.

I don't watch Otz a lot, by the way. I wouldn't start calling him my "precious streamer" to try and make your argument feel more appealing. Again, you don't know me. Stop pretending that you do.

It could be any streamer, big or small or someone I've never even seen before, I'd still be saying the same thing, because it's what I believe in. You entire point hinges on that just because it's Otz, I feel this way, and sorry to say, but no, I don't feel this way simply because it's Otz who's the one in the clip.

But I have watched enough of Otz to know that some of the things you're claiming and assuming about him are simply not true or are far reaching at best.

I can't speak for the OP, or why he named the thread what he did. I do know that I can speak and think for myself though, and that's what I'm doing. What the OP or other people think and say, has nothing to do with what I think or say. Just because my opinion aligns with the bunch, does not mean that my opinion is not my own.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1173405#Comment_1173405

You can't claim something, without evidence, put the burden of proof on someone else, and say that because they're unwilling to do this random task you assigned to them to counter your claim of which again, you yourself have no evidence of, that you're right and they're wrong.

At most, it just becomes your word against theirs. Which proves nothing.

I have made an assumption based on him disconnecting when something went against him that he would not do the same had it favoured him. I have also had some of his fans responding to me on this very thread saying he has disconnected on stream 1 time, which is the time the video that has been shared has shown.

If his fans are saying he has disconnected one time and I have that on a video, then I can use that to state he has taken advantage of bugs that favoured him and been happy to carry on the game.

As a killer in the past I had had people get stuck, I have been able to pick them up after downing and let them wiggle out to get them unstuck. It doesn't bother me whether I win or lose. I know the state of the game when I go in to it I am just there to play. I'm not going to have a tantrum because I miss a hit or rage quit the game because someone did my hex within 30 seconds of a round starting, or someone used head on on me when they were a co-ordinated SWF, or if I fast vault a window and take 5 steps away from the window but suddenly I'm on the floor.

We all go in to this game knowing there are issues on both sides, having a tantrum isn't going to change it. It isn't going to make the devs say "oh my god Otz disconnected!!!!! Prioritise everything that has had an effect on him emotionally and fix it, we can't have Otz crying"

Just take it for what it is and move on.

He'll say it's BS, sure, but 9 times out of 10 a bunch of BS has happened on the killer's end leading up to that BS hit, so of course he's not going to then leave them be. But that doesn't mean they're not justified in killing themself on hook or DCing themselves, IMO. if the game isn't functioning correctly on a specific server, you shouldn't be forced to suck it up or get punished; you are supposed to be playing for fun.

Nothing says fun like queuing up for 20mins for a killer to miss one hit and close the game down.

  • You didn't try because there won't be a video of him landing a BS hit on a survivor where he says "Oh that hit shouldn't have landed, I'm going to disconnect on their behalf and end my stream because that way it might get the devs to take notice and do something about the issues" he would just pick them up and throw them on a hook. Yet if the survivor disconnected after he landed a BS hit, I'm sure all the viewers would be VERY quick to stick the boot in.

Your pathetic attempt at defending childish behaviour failed.

Show me a video of him disconnecting from a round and ending his stream when a bug/glitch has gone in his favour then we can start criticising my assumption.

No. The burden of proof is not on me. You show me that your assumption has merit.

So from that I take that you wouldn't be able to find one and so your attempt at dismissing my assumption has failed.

Thanks for the attempt at getting involved. I'm sure he will be very happy you tried to defend him.

He rage quit the game because his killers powers refused to work ontop of the failed lunge?... You do realize Myers not being able to stalk is the equivalent of a huntress not being able to throw hatchets, a spirit not being able to phase walk or a trapper not being able to put down traps?

The missed lunge was the icing on the cake.

He briefly could not stalk. Then he could stalk and he tiered up to 3. It was his missed swing in tier 3 that made him quit. Nothing else. If the stalking had been an issue for those 3 seconds when he couldn't stalk he would have disconnected then, it is when he misses the hit that he decides he has had enough so the game is over for everyone.

Thanks for queuing survivors but I'm having a tantrum now so your game is over.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1173277#Comment_1173277

Who here said it was okay for him to do it but not any small time streamer? Where have I or anyone else mocked anybody for rage quitting because of a bug that screwed them over?

I guess it is just your knee jerk reaction to criticize him because he is a big time streamer.

I have never made fun of any killer who disconnected from a frustrating match. Whether it be for a bug or not. If they're not having fun to the point that it is legitimately frustrating to them and impacting their emotional state, that they should stop playing immediately. Nor would I even as a survivor, want the killer to just give up and stand AFK. If they're going to stop playing one way or another, I'd rather that they disconnect rather than me being locked into a pointless match for however many minutes where the killer will refuse to respond, whether they be a big time streamer, small time streamer, or just your average player. For someone to persist playing the game when it is negatively effecting them on an emotional level is unhealthy. I believe Otz did the responsible thing here and I'm not going to believe that those 4 survivors were so heartbroken that the Killer disconnected because of two bugs.

I don't think someone wanting to quit a game that is frustrating for them is childish, as long as the reason is valid enough. DCing because somebody is running a perk you don't like? Bad. DCing because the game cucked you multiple times in a few seconds because of game breaking bugs? Yeah, that sucks. I wouldn't blame you.

I've also DCed because of the same situations as well. If that makes me childish because BHVR still refuses to actually fix their game, therefore creating the reason for me to disconnect in the first place and I don't feel like putting up with that crap, then oh well I guess. But I'm not going to blame anyone else who disconnects for the same reason because I don't expect them to want, or have to put up with that nonsense either. I'm not going to demand a Nurse, who literally cannot blink, to stay in a match they cannot play in, because it'd ruin "my fun", when the fun was ruined not because of the killer disconnecting, but because BHVR still can't fix their game. I'm going to blame the game for that, not the player, who understandably, would not want to put up with it.

So I'd strongly suggest you stop trying to claim what I would or wouldn't do because you very clearly don't know me at all, you don't speak for anyone else at all either. Everyone has a different opinion than you do.

See, again you're saying it is OK for him to do stand the situations in which you seem it is OK to leave. He encountered a bug and so it is fine for him to do it. He has been affected on an emotional level..... think about that, an emotional level...... if you can get to being tilted at an emotional level from playing a game then you need to play something else. Take a month off from it and see if you can be more relaxed about the fact it is a game when you come back.

You saying you would DC under those circumstances is again, saying yes because I watch him I think it is perfectly acceptable to DC and your opinion is 100% valid.

I call bullshit on you never slating a killer who has disconnected for the simple fact you are leaping on me for even daring to suggest your precious streamer is in the wrong for the way in which he behaved. It is ######### behaviour, don't try and dress it up as being OK. It isn't. It is #########.

I don't really care what you would or wouldn't do, you just seem desperate to try and get in to an argument because someone you're a fan of has acted like a prick and you want to defend it.

I would call anyone a child for acting in that manner for missing a hit. As I have said previously in this thread there is no evidence when the bugs/glitches favour him that he disconnects. I don't care how many fans he has or anything, anyone who does that is a child and someone like him who does get a lot of viewers is only highlighting just how childish the community can be.

Even the subject of the thread "Even Otz" like he is the standard that all of us should be held up to is stupid beyond belief.

He didn't ask the survivors if they wanted to finish their round whilst he went afk though did he? He just rage quit and went. You're putting words in their mouths regarding how they wouldn't want to be in a room where the killer wasn't playing because you wouldn't want to be but then saying I'm not allowed to assume what people would want. See the problem there? Your opinion isn't worth more than mine just because you think it is. Just because you watch someone doesn't mean you know how they are feeling or what kind of person they are. Stop blindly defending someone you don't even know, especially when they act like Grade A prick for missing a single hit.

    Disconnects once on stream

"HE'S A TERRIBLE HUMAN-BEING, SUCH CHILDISH BEHAVIOR! WHO DOES THINGS LIKE THIS?"

Christ. As if you yourself are a perfect human-being who's never had a moment of weakness once in your life, let alone such an understandable situation as being majorly cucked by a video game over a problem that has existed for months now that the devs refuse to fix and just going "Right, I'm done."

Never once claimed to be perfect in any of these posts so I am confused as to where you have got that from. I guess it is just your knee jerk reaction to protect his honour because you watch him sometimes. He didn't need to quit. He could easily have just let go of the mouse. Said he is going to end the stream there and left the game to run and not do anything. Instead what happened was a tantrum and a game ruined for multiple people because he took one swing that missed and he couldn't handle it.

I haven't said he is a terrible human being. I have said why is it that people are so quick to jump to his defence when if it had been a small streamer or someone who didn't stream you would all be shitting on them?

It is very childish behaviour to ruin a game for 4 other people just because something didn't go your way. The fact you are defending it as if it isn't childish behaviour only further proves my point how you are saying it is fine for him to do it but not others.

So now he has done that live on stream as "The best killer to play the game" as some of you people claim, is it OK for everyone to do it? No, of course not, you'd leap on anyone who disconnected no matter what in-game reason they had. He isn't special because he streams a ######### game. So stop acting like this behaviour is fine because he streams a game. It isn't fine. It is childish and just one of the many issues that this game has with the toxic members of the community.

What you fail to understand is that this guy you are bashing never did rage quit( or even if he did before it was a very rare), to promote a sportsmanship behaviour to his fans. He might have rage quitted more often when he was not on stream but at least he tried to promote a sportsmanship behaviour( while on stream), but this time he had enough. The difference between unknown streamers or regular players is the uncertainty that they are regular DCers or not. Otz is known to be a streamer that doesn't DC so when he does then you know ######### hit the fan.

It doesn't matter whether they are well known or not. He just quit out of a game ruining the game for 4 other people and you're falling over yourself to make up an excuse as to why it is OK for him to do it but not OK for others to do it.

What you fail to understand is that disconnecting in a tantrum is childish behaviour no matter who has done it. No matter how many people are watching or how many people have paid a subscription to them. Don't come on here posting about how amazing he is when he does crap like that.

Like I said I fully expected people to rush here to defend his honour. There is no defence, he missed a hit, cried and disconnected.

As I said if the issue was favouring him, he would be all for it

What are you basing this on? Why would you assume that he wouldn't also be upset at the state of the game if a big bug favored him instead?

Show me a video of him disconnecting from a round and ending his stream when a bug/glitch has gone in his favour then we can start criticising my assumption. We have a video of him leaving when it doesn't go his way right here.

@Ghostwithaface You're missing the point here. There is no "shut up" about the bugs there is a "you know what state the game is in going in to the round, don't ruin the game for 4 other people when something happens and it doesn't go your way."

Of course bugs need to be fixed but anyone having a tantrum and disconnecting over something not going their way is not going to fix the bug is it? No, it just embarrasses the people who do it, except in this case he has a fanbase who will say he is amazing for doing it even though it was extremely childish.

You do know you are judging a man over something as far as we are aware he only did once. You are making him out to be a bad person due to raging quit once and due to him getting paid for playing a video game. Which again you are ignoring the main point of the thread, just to bash on a person you seem to want to hate while ignoring bugs. Bugs should be fixed, not ignore. People being to forgiving when it comes to video games is how we ended with loot boxes, poorly done abused dlc like horse armor and whatever else the gaming industry comes up with to screw over the gamer and their wallet.

I'm not judging him as a bad person. I'm saying why is everyone so complimentary of him rage quitting when smaller streamers or people who don't stream would be berated for that behaviour.

"Haha baby killer DC because he missed" etc in post game chat but this guy does it and it becomes a forum post about how the game is broken and needs to be fixed because even someone who is paid to play quits games early.

If he did it over that one missed hit at the start of tier 3, he has done it before and will do it again. Let's face it.

I've had youtubers/streamers who are well known in my games and they have disconnected when the games don't go their way too. They aren't immune to rage quitting and I dont expect them to be but I dont understand their fans fawning over them to tell them it is OK to do it because they have a content channel but anyone else is a sore loser for doing it.

The bugs are just part of it, can't handle it then don't play. Why should 4 other people have their game ruined because someone can't cope with the bugs? When they knew before going in that round that the game has issues. As I said if the issue was favouring him, he would be all for it because it resulted in a miss, I'm quitting and cancelling the game for those 4 people.

  • @Ghostwithaface said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1173018#Comment_1173018

From the way i read the original post. It was not about rage quitting but the main focus was about the bugs with in the game. Since the original post at the very end, did ask the devs to fix month old bugs.

Even so, everyone is very much "oh well he is such a chill guy things must be bad" he clearly isn't a laid back guy in the slightest. He rage quit because a swing didn't connect. Does he rage quit when a hit that shouldn't connect does connect? I am going to assume no, but when it doesn't go in his favour it is game over for the other 4 people.

Everyone knows there are bugs. Everyone knows there are bullshit hits(The Huntress is constant bullshit hits)

He gets paid to play. Just get on with it and stop being a baby.

  • Sorry but why is him rage quitting more acceptable than someone else? So what if he is a streamer. Those survivors have queued up for however long and he has had a tantrum because a hit didn't land????

It just makes me feel embarrassed for him. I missed a hit, that's not fair. I'm leaving.

    Really childish behaviour.

I am sure everyone who fawns all over him will come to his defence here but how can you defend that behaviour? If he wasn't a streamer or if he was a small time streamer you would all be laughing and calling the killer pathetic for disconnecting.

DS effectively erases the chase you just had (easily can be 45+ seconds) and then allows another to take place that wouldn't have otherwise (again, easily another 45+ seconds). All that time is use of the perk, not "just 5 seconds".

This is not even counting the time gained by the killer playing differently just because DS exist in the match, so it has an effect the whole match even for survivors not running it, just because it exist on someone or everyone (the killer gets no information on who has it, meanwhile survivors get notified of every hex in the game among a lot of other perks).

"If they don't tunnel, it doesn't get used." This is just untrue. Survivors, myself included, will throw myself into the killers way sometimes or just do a gen/unhook/body block/anything else for free just because decisive is up. A lot of the time survivors get unhooked 3 seconds after a killer so much as looks away. Sometimes they have the stealth of an ice cream truck blasting its jingle down the street, maybe on purpose because they have DS up so who cares. Sometimes killers can finish a whole other chase or two, happen upon the survivor from before, finish that new chase, and still get hit with the DS.

Anyone with some game sense knows DS is much more than an anti-tunnel perk and covers way too many options for survivors.

A 45 second chase is absolutely nothing to do with DS. If you're saying it took 45+ seconds to catch someone and then they used DS to get another 45 seconds. You've tunnelled off the hook as DS only lasts 60 seconds and you're saying you have chased for over 45 seconds and STILL got hit by DS.

A 45 second chase is not caused by a 5 second stun. It is caused by the survivor using a 5 second stun to get away from you and then they continue to outplay you for 40 further seconds. DS is 5 seconds.

The killer playing "differently" because they know someone has DS. Oh no, a killer has to worry about tunnelling someone off the hook and allowing someone to actually play a match of a game they paid for? I mean there are in a lot of cases 3 other survivors they could be going for instead of the easy 1 hit down.

Moronic responses about how killers have to play differently because of DS and how it should be removed/nerfed piss me off. I don't even use the perk, I don't see the point as it is 5 seconds but there is a constant stream of absolute bollocks about how it ruins games for killers. Killers ruin games for survivors by tunnelling everyone off the hook for a mori but that's OK because killers have it soooooo hard in the game.

I'm a red rank killer I almost never encounter a DS stun and I regularly get 4 kills. The difference between the way I play and the way the ones who constantly cry about DS play? I don't play like a prick

There are multiple uses for DS, yes. The fact is it is a survivor perk to use however the ######### they want. There is nothing in the perk description or any game tutorial saying DS can ONLY be used when you're getting tunnelled off the hook. Killers camp and tunnel and claim it is a "legit strategy" but survivors are meant to sit under hooks asking to be sacrificed otherwise they're toxic ######### and only use perks when a killer has determined it is OK to do so.

It is so tedious to see the constant whining about a 5 second stun and the delusion that is gen rush. Stop camping, stop tunnelling, pressure the survivors, pressure the gens, get as many kills as you can. It isn't always going to be all 4, nor should it be.

Stop looking for excuses in toolboxes, instaheals, prove thyself, DS, Adrenaline, BT, Dead Hard. They're all perks in a game to use. Get over it.

Canceling their games and informing other players is about the best thing one can do but I'm still disappointed they're still not banned even though they've been farming survivors to death since freaking 2018. Just out of curiousity what map was it when he played Deathslinger?

I know these two you're talking about. They've been doing this since 2018 and still didn't get banned even though the entire XBOX DBD Community must have reported them at this point. Goes to show that reporting does absolutely nothing.

The survivor queue was really quick for me that day so I just thought close it down when loading rather than leaving the lobby and letting others get screwed by them. He is a red rank killer as well??? Make no sense to me to cheat to get to red rank. There isn't even an achievement on console for getting to rank 1. He was the deathslinger and I'm not even kidding he was easily the worst one I have faced so far. If she wasn't sandbagging everyone. We would have been out easy.

She even had deliverance on so when it was the final 2. He could hook her and she can direct him to the last one and then unhook herself. Proper scummy behaviour.

  • You must not play with your with friends. What a way to sell the game.

  • On xbox I had two people with very similar names that had ITA at the end as a separate word. One was a survivor the other was the killer. The survivor was doing nothing, obviously at this point I didn't know the killer's name. Afterwards when I'm dead after being sold put by this survivor I realise what was going on. 10mins later I'm in a lobby with the girl again, I check recently played with. Same guy is the killer. Wait for the lobby to start loading the game and close the game. You can waste your time trying to get a lobby together again. I also messaged the 2 other survivors saying don't play with that person, they're cheating.

I should be able to block ever playing with those kinds of people

  • @OtakuBurrito said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1171533#Comment_1171533

I mean I main Claudette so like...I just know I'm getting killed, camped, or mori'd. Like a lot of what you're saying is just standard for me so I'm just used to killers being super toxic/annoying towards me until they find out I'm just memey. And I get you're rank 1, and this is going to come off as rude but, a lot of your bitching sounds like rank 1 survivor main entitlement and you feel that because you are at that rank games should be super intense, nonscummy, and a show of skill.

Games in red ranks aren't like that. You should know that. The higher the ranks, the more mechanical they become. That's why when I start creeping back up to rank 1 again I 4 man meme squad back down to purple ranks. I don't have time to play the same game over and over with a different killer. You complained about 4 moris being in a game.

Then you fail to realize killers can have 4 iridescent emblems and still not pip up at anything past purple. I've seen killers get perfect games, and still only safety pip because too many gens got done. Like idk what you want from them. If they aren't ######### people usually run all over them. If they are survivors complain. If you want a killer that is fair well it requires you playing against them MULTIPLE times and them seeing, oh they're a chill/cool survivor or they're just trying to meme/work on looping.

The killers I run into frequently in my region give me fair games and I respect that. You better start saying gg after games and complimenting plays so they'll be less inclined to tunnel you in future games. You're rank 1 so your pool should be hella small. I can admit when I ######### up. Better start humbling yourself and make friends that play killer.

Not a survivor main at all. I'm also always in red ranks for killer too. I me toned I was rank 1(red rank) as a survivor to say this isn't killers who are rank 15 and haven't a clue what they are doing, they're red/purple rank killers desperate for any kill because they can't really play the game. Make all kinds of excuses as to why they used a mori. I say gg to most killers. I'm not saying gg to a killer that desperately camps, tunnels and moris.

It is also not possible for a killer to not pip up if all emblems are iridescent. That is the maximum an emblem can be it would mean reaching red ranks was impossible if that was the case.

You talk about me being entitled because I expect a game to be played in a fun manner and not a desperate hardcore camp and tunnel match but you cheat the ranking system so you can bully lower ranked killers and feel like a pro survivor because of it.

  • @OtakuBurrito said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1171514#Comment_1171514

I mean. I guess. I'm just one of those players in games were I get every game is going to have a couple of ######### aspects about it that have no real solution other than removing them so I just don't worry about it. Yes it's annoying when you're running 4 BPS and the killer decides to slug or tunnel mori but what can you do.

I tend to run into 2 dick headed ass killers per every 10 killers so I won't complain to much about ######### whose only enjoyment is making others miserable. Honestly I get more mad at survivors than killers. Killers just trying to kill. Survivors do a LOT more than bringing a key that makes them annoying. Bringing a key, doing no work, and getting hatch is honestly the only thing that tilts me to the point of being done with the game for the day. Right behind that is bring 4 BPS and the killer slugging/playing bubba/hillbilly 4 k slugging. It's just a waste of time

People keep saying they rarely see moris but again last night in 5 games I had 4 moris. Only one of them was green the rest were ebony. They're in constant use. This is as a rank 1 survivor. I'm not a dick when playing the game, I just do my gens, do a run, die or escape.

I couldn't care less about dying provided the killer isn't playing like a prick. I'm there to have fun not have my game ended after a minute because a killer cried after his previous game.

  • This is the dumbest thread.

Survivors didn't run out in front of me and give me free hits and hooks - They're so crap at the game.

Work for your hits and kills don't expect them to be handed to you because you've cried.

  • @OtakuBurrito said:

I love moris. A lot of people do because they're cool/funny. If you hate them that much just hide all game, don't save your team, and ensure you never get found. Be a gen jockey. Run spine chill. take a med kit with a syringe/purple vale.

It isn't about not liking them. Whenever a new mori comes out people want to see it. What's ######### about them is when you play game after game with an ebony mori offering and the survivors just get tunnelled off their first hook. Killers love to moan about gens going too quickly but when they can get people out of a game after one hook they have no issue with the speed of the game being quick.

  • @tippy2k2 said:

I'm fine with them as well

As a killer, I suppose it's a bit more irksome as there's really nothing I can do about it. At least with Mori (Unless you're the first poor bastard who gets killed) you have a warning that the killer has it but ultimately they're both a special item that the opponent can't really counter. I suppose that alone should make it go on the chopping block but whatevs.

So no, not everyone is against them. I've never actually used either (I could never figure out when you could use the key and I never bothered to look it up so I just haven't ever used it; maybe I should change that since I have that "Escape from Hatch" Archive thingy to finish and Mori I usually just don't use because then I can't get bonus BP) so I don't know if that means I should just be ignored or if my opinion should count double since both are always used against me and never for me :D

You can counter all items as a killer - Franklin's demise.

There is literally nothing a survivor can do to stop a mori. Majority of killers just tunnel off the hook and mori.

Keys require a lot more work than a mori. I love when killers claim all gens were done and they left with a key which wasn't fair. Let's face it, even if you caught one, the other 3 are 100% out if they don't even consider coming for the person. It shaves off 20 seconds from the game and that is deemed "unbalanced" and then they say a mori that can remove someone from a game within a minute if they are unlucky, the same as a key ...... completely delusional.

  • There was the archive challenge to escape with the hatch. Of course you will see keys.

The same way there are multiple challenges to kill everyone as specific killers and nearly all of those get done with a mori.

The person who said they are a red rank and never see a mori, bullshit. Sunday night I did about 7 games with some friends. 5 of them were ebony moris. Killers love ending games quickly provided it is on their terms. The game being too short is only a complaint when they are getting beaten. Wah wah gen rush. There was even a really embarrassing thread posted here earlier of a video on YouTube by space coconut saying that it shouldn't be this easy for survivors. The guy played like ######### and then people moan that he should have won??????

Killers want 4k handed to them every round otherwise the game is unbalanced.

The game would be so much better if everyone had to play a certain amount of both sides. There would be far less crying about everything.

  • @Clinton said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1170679#Comment_1170679

Because I worked hard the entire game to force them into a 3 gen just so they could escape with a key.

Keys are cheap, just like ebonies are cheap. Doesn't change the fact playing survivor is easy mode

Worked hard to kill 1 person whilst giving up 4 gens..... well done.

You can see a key in their hand in the lobby and if they find it in the game you can see it in their hand too, quite silly to then rely on a 3 gen situation when you have killed one off....then moan about how unfair it was.

  • How is it a cheap escape? They have done a large part of their objective. Just move on.

The constant moaning about survivor perks, survivor items, survivors being friends and survivor maps is stupid as #########. Yet killers can have whatever perks they want? Can have their killer sided maps, can have their moris which means they can get everyone out of a game with only 33% of their objective done. But that's OK, yeah? Because you're playing killer and so that is balanced to you

  • @Clinton said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1170531#Comment_1170531

It will help me safety pip at least.

I never use moris either. I have hundreds of them stock piled across all my killers. I'm just getting tired of survivors looking for easy escapes constantly

How is it an easy escape? 1 is dead, you are saying a couple are on death hook. They have done 4 gens. How was that an easy escape?

I don't understand when killers moan everyone went through the hatch either and it being an "easy win" they have done all the gens, all they have skipped is the opening door. They were more than likely out anyway. Move on to your next game, nothing to see here.

  • Those 2 minutes fly by and often survivors hide for the whole timer so it can end up being a waste of a slot.

I don't think this needs a change to be honest. I use it with discordance in order to force the survivors together on to a gen which shows me where they are. If they hide, it backfires and I have to hope I get lucky and come across one.

  • @Cotten said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1170293#Comment_1170293

Also you say dont leave people on the ground for awhile which i find funny.

DS ( stun killer for 5 seonds with a skill check) activates if we pick you up after unhook

Unbreakable ( get up after recovering fully on the ground )

SO WHICH DO YOU WANT IS? PICK YOU UP OR LEAVE YOU DOWN??? Either way its a save

Well.... again you are banging on about perks and we are talking about offerings in this thread but obviously you are desperate to moan about popular perks when there are literally hundreds of threads made by killer mains constantly made about them.

If you look at mycomment regarding DS you will see it says don't tunnel. Then further down for unbreakable it says pick them up. So the answer to your question is very obvious.

Don't tunnel and you won't have to panic about DS and unbreakable working together. As I have said so many times on different threads if people like you stopped camping/tunnelling the majority of those perks would become useless perk slots but because you can't bring yourself to play a game without playing like a prick, it is just constant crying about the perks instead. Rather than just accepting the fact that these perks became strong by your actions forcing survivors to use them.

  • None of which are offerings that can end the game with a 3rd of their objective done so I am unsure how these perks are relevant in a conversation about offerings??

    Also:

    DS - Don't tunnel

BT - Don't tunnel or camp

    Unbreakable - Pick them up

Adrenaline - Single use perk when all gens are completed. I honestly never understood why people moan about this perk.

If all 4 people are using these perks as you claim then you should know not to tunnel people right off the hook and never leave someone on the ground for a while.

I play plenty of killer games and I don't cry about any of these perks that you have listed.

  • I would be embarrassed about even recording this match to he honest. Abandoned a chase with an injured survivor to go back to Jane who was hooked. Downs her when she gets unhooked, power to the people gets used and rather than use that as an opportunity to go after the broken person and leave Jane to waste time getting healed, they just tunnel Jane. Next time Jane comes off the hook even though the Huntress knows 2 people were close to finishing a gen, off they go to tunnel Jane again, who this time has had time to fully heal so it takes another 2 hits to finally get someone out of the game

The David chase after the final gen is awful too and when they finally get them, they just camp. So much skill shown off in this game. Hag main or not it just shows how ######### some killers really are and why the devs should not be balancing based on their experiences.

Do you honestly think that Hunteess deserves 4 kills? 3 kills? Or even 2? For the performance in that round. It was a terrible game from the killer side.

Those 3 gens that popped were all really close to one another(all survivors appear to have started separately?), the area that she needed to cover had reduced a lot and they because they all popped at once she knew that only those could have been worked on but still kept the tunnelling up, even whennit was p obviously throwing the game for her.

You can tell the killer is a miserable twat anyway based on how quickly they cancel out of the scoreboard. We never see their rank, so they could be rank 20 for all we know and they were being nice and saying gg but because they played shite off they go and then probably hit the forum for a good cry about overpowered survivors.

I would be curious to see if they played the offering that separated all survivors at the start as a way for them to create a video like this.

  • @yobuddd said:

I think what a lot of people are missing here, when they complain about ebonies, is that if there are other good offering options, killers will use them. That means they’re NOT using mories in those matches. Even if these offering impacted the game in different ways, this still benefits survivors in respect to one if their biggest complaints!

What a load of rubbish. Killers play ebony moris because it is easy mode and they want to ruin a game for other people. Tunnel off hook, mori. Enjoy your 2k points survivor. Then a load of stupid messages saying "ez" when they think they have played a good match.

  • @csandman1977 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1168822#Comment_1168822

They are called hex perks. They can be completely deactivated in 12 seconds. Many times without the killer getting any benefit from them.

Games without DS are easier for killer because its one thing less the killer needs to keep track of.

I don't think the exhaustion idea is good, however if you get unhooked, and do something other than run away, the perk should deactivate.

Although if they change it to that then it shouldn't be a 1 time use. Also, i think there should always be an obsession on the game.

So you just proved my point that no killer perk gives them a benefit for just 5 seconds in a whole match. A totem being cleansed (which I actually thought was 15 or 16 seconds but even if we use your figure of 12), is still more than double the benefit a survivor gets from the DS stun and that is based on a survivor starting on that totem at the second the game begins. So again, there is no killer perk that gives them 5 seconds of benefit.

The reward for most hex totems outweighs DS too. If ruin stays up you get a lot more than 5 seconds worth of gen regression. If Devour hope stays up you get exposed status and eventually able to outright kill them. NOED gives all survivors the exposed status. Those are a bit stronger than a 5 second stun, wouldn't you agree? Also, the killer gets to choose whether the survivor can even use DS in the first place. If they don't tunnel, it doesn't get used.

All toolboxes are essentially a BNP for gens and sabo tools now. Only worth running in swf, i prefer a medkit anyway. :)

It is definitely not a brand new part. A brown lasts for about 10% of a gen and it barely increases the speed.

They're a waste of bloodpoints. Completely pointless taking them in, may as well just hoard them. I expected charges to be reduced but the amounts they did it by were beyond stupid. 180 charges down to 32 charges. It should have been a fairer change rather than just trying to push everyone to use them for sabotaging. Which in time killer mains will cry loudly enough about and that will get changed too.

I play killer all the time, I'm playing killer now.

I'm just not the whiny, complaining type of killer.

    I don't get DS'ed.

    It's as simple as this.

You get DS'ed? It's YOUR fault.

This 100%. People who play both sides regularly find far less to cry about in the game.

Making up bullshit reasons to deactivate DS or make it so it can't be used in conjunction with an exhaustion perk in order to stop you tunnelling someone is stupid.

I am sick of hearing the same "I want my chase to be over quickly when I tunnel someone so FS needs x, y and a otherwise I will quit playing because you favour the survivors. A 5 second head start ruins the killers game"

Stop camping, stop tunnelling and all those perks you moan about will not be used as much anyway. Killer mains push survivors to use BT and DS by playing scummy.

In relation to the start of the topic where someone says if you chase another person after the unhook then it should deactivate, so the killer stays a few seconds away and watches the unhook happening, comes in right behind the unhooker so the chase initiates for them and then swing at the person who just got unhooked. A perk slot completely wasted because desperate killers will find a way around everything.

Relating it to head on and how that gets exhaustion is stupid too. Head on can be used multiple times. DS is ONCE. Killers really seem to struggle with the fact it is a SINGLE use perk. 5 second stun. Imagine if a killer had to use a perk slot for the chance at getting a 5 second benefit?? There would be outrage and threats to quit, as usual.

If you're getting mori's every game, I'm either going to straight up call you a liar, or say get out of yellow/brown ranks, where mori's are most common. Keys are a much bigger problem than mori's. If mori's are "every game", the killer isn't ranking up. You don't rank up with a mori. Poof, it was that easy to destroy your argument. Gone. Just like that. I'm not a liar. You're a liar.

Either way, what you're saying is nonsense.

Essentially all you are is a survivor main pretending to be versed, at all, in killer gameplay. As evidenced by your quite blatant double standard. Somehow it's okay in your head for a survivor to do whatever they need to in order to win, but if a killer camps someone out to get a kill which could make the difference between win and loss (especially if you and your team are boosted enough to keep trying to save instead of doing gens, which sounds like the case from your outrage KEKW), then gosh darn they are scum.

I didn't say it was every game I said I have had game after game after game of it. It isn't all the time but there are a LOT of moris being played. Always with some vague excuse:

I always bring a mori for SWF.

I had a streamer in the room,so I always bring a mori for a streamer.

The previous group were toxic to me so I brought a mori.

You wanted ruin nerfed, so get used to moris.

Not a survivor main. I'm a red rank killer and a red rank survivor. I'm just not a baby who desperately needs to win every game otherwise I feel inadequate and cry to the devs about how the game is unfair because I'm not winning all the time.

His range on his powers is way too far. It shouldn't be able to go as far as it does.

His blast needs limiting to only hitting one person at a time only or reducing the distance his blast hits.

I don't like going up against the doctor either

Static blast only hitting one person would be stupid. How would it work if he did it just after someone got unhooked? Does it shock the unhooked or the unhooker? That could just lead to the person getting tunnelled off the hook. At least when everyone gets shocked he has to make a decision of which he wants to go for.

So, as a killer you just take the loss and move on. Okay, if a survivor gets camped, they need to just take the loss and move on. Your mori argument is a strawman of epic proportions. It's not representative of normal gameplay. Mori's aren't that common. Killers don't have hoards of mori offerings because they "use them all the time".

I have had game after game after game of a mori in every game. Don't lie when you say that isn't normal. There are far too many moris and the requirements are far too lax in regards to being able to use them andmore often than not they are used in the same manner. Hook someone, pretend to leave, see unhook, tunnel, mori.

As for survivors taking the loss. I am happy to take the loss as a survivor when the killer hasn't played in a desperately pathetic manner. Doesn't bother me. I'm there to have a game not get hooked and stare at the doctor hitting me repeatedly for a couple of minutes because he can't risk someone getting unhooked.

Killers get to stay for the length of all games so a game never actually ends early for them and it certainly never ends in a minute like it can for a survivor.

There is only one situation when I see camping as valid tactic: securing last kill with all gens popped. Or hatch right next to hook and you know there is a key in play

I can half understand why people do that but me personally even in EGC I'll hook and walk off to check the exits(if there are other survivors in the game) or if they appeared on BBQ I will head to them. I don't need a kill so desperately that I will hover around a hook. So what if they escape? It doesn't have an impact on my real life in any way. It is just a game.

Camping a hook may include standing near a hook, but doesn't equals it. That's why your point is invalid. Defending a hook is also a camping tactic.

Defending a hook is the same thing. I am too scared to commit to the chase in case someone else unhooks this person so I'll just hit them and then stay near the hook. Then if they do get them off and they have BT and DS I'll rush to the forum to cry about those perks.

I read the first 5 words - and I'll stop you right there. Yes it is.

How often, as survivor, when you're doing a generator, and 4 gens get done in less than 2 minutes, do you sit and ask yourself "is this fun for the killer"?

As someone who plays killer a lot. If that happens to me I take the loss and move on. I don't have a tantrum and go out of my way to ruin games for people. If you can only enjoy a game if you're winning then you're playing the wrong game.

The other night I played a game against a tunnelling doctor with a mori. The first person dead left that game within a minute with 2500 points.

Killers don't mind doing that do they? They don't mind games ending early when it is because the survivors are dead but if the survivors get gens done it is tantrum time. Wah wah nerf toolboxes wah wah get rid of survivor perks wah wah gen times need to be quadrupled because I'm not winning.

I asked him why he had been such a dick with that guy from the start of the game and I got a load of ######### back about how he has only played against SWF tonight and everyone had been really toxic to him.

Yet in our group nobody had done anything and he was a piece of ######### to the us. Don't make out like killer mains are these wonderfully fun and inclusive players. They tend to be the biggest dicks playing the game. Hence the endless complaints about SWF, survivor items, survivor addons, survivor offerings pallets, windows and perks. It is constant moaning by them about absolutely everything.

  • It isn't a valid tactic. It is a BS play when a killer wants to ruin the game for other people. None of this "just do the gens to punish them" BS either. Being stuck on a hook whilst a killer stands there ruins the game. If a killer claims he is having fun, being skillful or employing a tactic when all he does is stand still he is talking out of his arse.

Same goes for tunnelling. A desperate play to try and get an easy kill.

Moris don't bother me as long as it isn't tunnel off first hook to desperately mori.

I have never camped, never tunnelled and I am a red rank killer. Anyone who claims it is the only way they can win can't play the game. The ones who do play this way are the very same ones who come on the forums crying about DS.

These people also lose sight of the fact that it is a game and take every match ultra serious and make up multiple excuses as to why they had to camp/tunnel. Why go out of your way to try and make someone have a bad experience by camping/tunnelling them? Why stand still in a game for minutes at a time? Just go play something else.

I have no idea why you said that, as I never said all SWFs are using comms or playing in a way that could be considered annoying or abuse the balancing of the game.

But due to you mentioning it, you need to understand the issue we are dealing with here. Not all who use SWF are using comms or abuse balance flaws but all who do use comms and skew said flaws in their favor are indeed using the SWF. Thats the problem.

SWF by itself isnt a problem, it just allows you to play with specific people, even though it is against lore (unless recently introduced into tomes) or initial concept of the game. That feature just allows people to actually DO abuse game design of dbd to their favor, such as gaining unfair advantage over opposing party.

Just because you or some other party doesnt try to use power of communication to skew the already shaky balancing of dbd, doesnt mean there arent people who dont do it, as a matter of fact a lot do it, just as a lot want to just mess around or play with pals without comms.

The issue still is there, swf is open to the abuse of game's mechanics and that should be adressed without completely destroying it.

Against lore? Are you ######### serious right now? Oh you can't play with friends because in the lore of the game they don't know one another.

Will people be banned from playing the same character in a round too?

Jesus ######### christ the absolute bollocks that comes out of killer mains astounds me at times
