Deep Rock Galactic offers Xbox to Windows Store full Crossprogression, why can a small indie company do what you cannot?
-
any news on the Cross Progression? I got 800+ Hours on Xbox, all DLCs, plenty of shop Skins, and lots of stuff from the Rifts... but playing with mouse/keyboard is so much better
why is it not working between the Xbox & Windows Store Version already?
-
Happy Halloween!
-
for me it's that whole SM style paired with peeling of skin...ugh! 😫 I never watched more than short clips of the movie, I feel you!
-
very weird... I mean I hate the map still weird to see it go 😔
-
No cross progression between xbox and windows store dbd makes no sense
-
it's the same people complaining about Tunneling xD
-
what does playing sweaty got to do with Matchmaking?
-
Abandoned Arctic Base Indoor & Outdoor (like in the Thing)
-
Binding of Kin,Super boring ugly looking killer + buggy as hell and it was released during Christmas Time and we had this muddy snow waiting screen instead of Christmas lights as usually
-
It's so nice when you just want to do the rift hatch challenge ❤️
(Lucky me, after many tries, I opend the hatch while getting downed and could escape)
still it was a nightmare since all killers were completely focused on me every single match, as if their live depends on it and all I wanted was the rift challenge 😂

I agree. Streamers often talk about this game as if the only people who play are in the top 2% of all players and forget that the experience is different for the average player. They also forget that, even if you're in the top 2%, you'll probably get a certain number of matches with average players anyway, just because of how the numbers work out. The matchmaking won't leave you in queue forever -- it'll find you a game, even if it's with people ranked lower.
The people it helps the most are the people in the middle who currently match with teammates and opponents who are too many levels above them, because there isn't enough differentiation between ranks.
Yes and you get carried into ranks where you don't belong which is bad for you because you have no fun and cannot play, and on the flip side the killer ranks up on you and gets into ranks where he doesn't belong and has no fun as well
-
How can you/someone be against a even playing field?
I am a killer player and as soon as I hit any rank under 10 there is noting I can do because the survivors are way ahead of my skill Level, now with mmr I could actually have a chance to play the game because I get matched with survivors on my skill level and slowly learn to get better.
And as I slowly get better I get slowly matched with better players, so it's a win, dunno why anyone would think that mmr sucks
Yes, you get matched with "bad" survivors on your skill level(if you are "bad"), but so is the killer... where is the problem?
Just look at hunt: showdown, they have a very good matchmaking now and you finial dont get in matches with 5000 hours hunt and 120000 hours csgo players when you just started the game

I turn it off when I feel like chatting with people. It's kinda lonely not being able to talk about the match.
as if there was anything nice going on ;)
its either "gg" or "salt"
-
any change sounds great, let's see how this plays out when it gets activated again 😊
Any ETA on the reactivation?
-
It sucks, still its their time and if for any reason they don't want to spend it in that game anymore and take a 5 min break let them have it

I think the unhooked survivor should get a sprint burst for either 10 seconds or until they stop running, whichever occurs sooner. The killer will either have to choose to play catch up, which will be a considerable waste of time, or target someone else.
This will have to be deactivated though once the final gen is done.
no, it should be common sense that you don't unhook a survivor when there is a possibility that the killer is coming back or just walks 5 meters away from the hook, its just bad play from the survivor side

99% of what Survivors & Killers call 'toxic' is just the person assuming their opponent was being mean, because they feel bad.
Tunneling, slugging, camping, clickyclicky, twerking, etc ARE NOT TOXIC; people just say 'This got me angry, so the player must have done it to get me angry'.
The only truly toxic things are using cheats, exploits, or bodyblocking someone to: Hold the game hostage, give them away to the killer, force them to take a hit (and even this one could be accidental if 2 people are being chased)
Very true, plus I think most Tunneling is just happening because of the game-flow, I once watched a stream of survivors going against me and all the time I found somebody they were like "OMG HES TUNNELING MEEE!11!!!" no, I just happened to run into you because you played bad, chose the wrong escape route, etc. there are MANY possibilities...
and yes, there are SOME cases where new killers chase only ONE survivor and then hit his body after they got him because they probably feel like doing that since they are the big bad guy (I always did that the first weeks when I started because It gave me that feel" AND some people do it to piss you off, but common this rarely happens (at least to me when i play survivor)
(for example, I am currently training to get better in chases, so I don't care about gens/hooking whatever, I pick the best runner and chase him the entire match to learn, down him- let him get healed up and repeat ;)
-
how can a killer act toxic in a trial apart from doing it in after-game chat?

It's true though, they're working as intended. If the hit didn't register, you weren't supposed to get it in the first place. The scream and splatter without the health state reduction is a bug.
Did you watch the video?
-
Everything working as intended, move along... move along
-
New idea : chase nerf
Each second the survivor runs from the killer his speed gets reduced by 1%
-
it was Jill and Leon`s first time being in a Trial without them knowing, of course, they would meet other Survivors
-
Just imagine a killer like the Spiderboss from Hunt Showdown <3 that would be awesome
-
Somehow the Sound of certain Survivors when I hook them is filling me with happiness, I LOVE Fengs Hook Scream <3 (Seriously!)

If you mean harder as in not the strongest, that's true.
That's not my point, though. A beginner needs to play something that forces them into learning how to run tiles correctly and to take optimal decisions at a macro level. Legion's power allows that to happen while still offering some benefits.
Other killers possess powers that are disruptive to that learning process because they are game altering. If one was to play them optimally, they would not be exposed to the fundamentals of gameplay very often, or at least not as often as with Legion.
It is my personal opinion, though.
Why would you Pick Legion over Wrath?
-
why does Julie look like Frank and why is Julie looking like Susie?
*Xfiles theme*
Could the Legion be only Frank with a multiple personality disorder?

It’s not a theory, they confirmed it after the patch launch
but for me as a person who has no knowledge of programming, this sounds like something a programmer could easily fix?

I play since Aug. 18 and i absolutely dont want old dbd back. There were so many great changes since then and im looking forward to the next changes. One of the most fun things for me is reading the patchnotes for new changes.
I liked the old HUD designwise more, but the new one is more useful. Other than that i cant really remember a change, which i want to be reverted.
the cheap looking survivor pictures in the hud and that the maps lost some of their darkness are the only things I miss/ would like the see chsnged6

I think a lot of us look back with nostalgia, I was actually having this discussion with friends last night and we were going through our old screenshots etc of when we first started playing 5 years ago. A lot has changed, but I'm the type that loves change and appreciate that a live game can change regularly and I am sure it will change again in the future.
Some is Nostalgia, some other things not
Please tell that,
Those icons in the hud look better than :
This...
It looks way more classy and true to the old design
-
I would love to see the survivors drawn the way it used to be (white outlines) the pictures have no style and look cheap
-
I would be happy if I could use mouse/keyboard on Xbox ;)
-
common ... no cross-progression via Xbox - Windows Store?
how can that be any problem?

There are streams still and up until December or so they also did regular Q&A dev streams (though I don’t know why that stopped completely…?)

He deserves a spot in the game tbh, as a standalone killer. He's one of the most wanted killers in the game, plus the first movie was an experience.
Yes, but why? I mean he was low tier horror for me/us back in the days, everybody cared about the big ones but candyman... his VHS tapes were low demand in the video rentals

I mean sure the grind would be rough as hell but at least I'd have a bit of an incentive, no way would I repurchase anything.
It's just money, but all those hours... not again

I'd be willing to settle for DLC and cosmetics transferring, although I'd still be pretty bummed. So much time spent!
Didn't they already have progression? how does it work on stadia? (does this still exists? 😂)
-
people are taking this game way to serious
-
Yes that would be great if you could just slap p3 on any cosmetic ❤️

A DBD unique Teacher killer would be great, especially if she is hot yet scary.
I would rather have an old grumpy teacher killer

Yes, I really miss the darker maps :(
Even as killer, it had much more horror atmosphere like that

- typing anything in the end game chat
Any of these things will usually annoy me and make me more likely to tunnel a survivor out of the game without any guilt
How are they doing that in the lobby? 😏
-
Just change it to stop regression at 4 secs repairing... doesn't sound that hard, or do I miss something?
-
Hopefully, until then swap it 😉

I will play around with Legion & check some guides etc.

It's normal. You do what players do in any other games. Watch tutorials, ask questions, review your gameplay. The lot.
Take trials as a learning experience, or you'll never improve.

I would discourage you to start learning the game on Spirit. Her power is too peculiar and it will not teach you the fundamentals.
I'm of the advice that Legion is the best killer for beginners. They have a little bit of built-in slowdown and, even if they get a free first hit, they still have to commit to m1 chases.
Legion for beginners?
I thought lehion is on of the harder killers, why would you recommend Legion?
-
Most of the time a simple sensivity slowdown while near/over the target helps a lot
-
Yes, it wouldn't hurt the ranged killers, I mean they have it in any serious fps on console so why not here?
I am not talking about snap on aim or something like that just some aim assist as in Call of Duty or Battlefield
-
@SMitchell8 said:
What killer are you playing? I had similar issue with Trapper and GF, got to rank 12 and cant do well with them, especially against reds and purples. Oni however gives me the chance to compete at least.
i regularly like playing Clown/Bubba/Trapper, but since I've heard a lot about Spirit I am currently giving her a shot (after the post) maybe it is the killer, plus I think a lot of survivors will not like to hear that but since you learn anti-looping by getting looped I am thinking about doing matches only to train that, I will get called the tunneler from hell, but who cares
mostly I don't commit to looping and head to another survivor, maybe that's one of the reasons I get so easily looped, I mean how I am supposed to learn it if I don't train it ;) (I really don't care about deranking hehe)

for the session, yes but not forever
