Nice work. That makes me wonder if it's better playing stealthy against him, unless there's someone in your team that is optimal at looping and keeping the killer distracted for two minutes.
You have to have a pretty amazing loop for Freddy.

I would say an old middle eastern woman. I think they have all the other demographics checked off.
Or possibly an old hispanic woman? (Are there any hispanic survivors?)
Thicc queen Jane Romero is Hispanic.

Every killer is like this. These hit ranges THROUGH WINDOWS are insane, please fix them. A killer should not be able to hit you through a window, after you have vaulted, when you are standing on the other side.
I know @Peanits has pointed out that the visual on the killer's side puts the survivor well within range, but it needs to at least have the appearance of being non-BS to the survivor, too. Otherwise, how do you expect us to be able to accurately gauge distance, and whether we can safely vault? Do you expect our brains to mind-read the server lag? Fractions of a second count in this game, sort it out.
Git gud. Windows are not supposed to be safe and if you're too close to one, you will get hit. It would be absurdly unbalanced if that weren't the case. Lag is lag though, and that's unfortunate but a separate issue entirely.

This is totally not a hill I'm willing to die on, but it's something that continuously bugs me, so I'm bringing it up here:
Clown and Legion don't match their themes.
I think everyone knew a clown character was coming eventually, and was looking forward to something along the lines of Pennywise or classic Joker, carrying a giant mallet, and probably incorporating balloons, or maybe forcing survivors to laugh a'la Doctor's screams. The actual clown being a tubercular fat man with a pocket knife who throws smoke bombs and collects fingers is a little confusing. I think in a perfect world this character would be renamed to something else, and the moniker "Clown" would be reused later for a more Clown-like killer (or literally Pennywise who's probably coming out in a month or two given DBD's stellar track record for licensed characters).
Legion was clearly a quick win to reuse assets from Deathgarden to make a new killer, but it seems half-baked. The entire theme is that Legion is a gang along the lines of "Them", but you only ever see one member at a time. Obviously it would be way too much work to try to have the killer player control multiple characters at once, but even having other gang members passively watching the match from the sidelines would help a lot thematically. Even better would be to let the killer "tag in" other gang members for some benefit, contributing to the conceit that they're a gang working together even though the player only controls one of them at a time.
Anyway, thanks for reading my most pedantic complaint about DBD.
I do think clown's power could potentially be very fitting. If the gas made survivors laugh instead of scream, and perhaps distorted vision and movement with various add-ons. Legion's is very poorly characterized though. Their power and their character are totally mismatched. Maybe it fit them better when it was first introduced, and they just repeatedly stabbed the same person in a frenzy.

We need Genji from overwatch as a killer, shurikuns throwing Killer who double jumps over pallets and loops. Or tracer who just rewinds time with whoever is nearby to redo parts of a chase.

I remember playing as Ghostface, finding the hatch, and hiding behind a tree for awhile. The last survivor was a Bill, and there was a gen that was 99% done and right next to an exit gate on the other side of the map. This was before the left behind rework, so I was wondering if he would actually be smart and tap the generator and just leave. Nope, sure enough, I see whispers turn on and he's sprinting over. Then he got angry and called me a hatchcamper even though I left a very viable exit totally open, lol

Playing Spirit with a Chainsaw you say?
Fair and balanced concept

You don’t need perks to mind game the spirit. Against her, you need to put down pallets early and use windows as much as you can. Putting down the pallet forces her to guess which side you’ll be on or if you abandon the loop altogether. If she guesses right, she gets a hit. If you guess right, she is then a 110 killer with no way of closing the gap.
She has plenty of counterplay, people refuse to learn it.
Playing a guessing game is not counterplay, silly
-
Make hatch grabs just like other grabs. They work if the survivor is injured. That way if there's a potential hatch standoff with a healthy survivor, they escape, and if they're injured, they'll probably be grabbed.

@oxygen said:
Because both the hatch changes and EGC aren't concerned with consistently helping one side or another, their only goal is to help end the match. And it does that just fine. If the survivor leaves through hatch the game ends, if the killer closes it it puts a hard time limit on how much longer the match can last.
EGC helps killer. Counts as a sacrifice

I'm just gonna say this when I started playing I was a Spirit main and in about 100 hours I got to rank 1, mind you I played survivor equally as killer so you might cut those hours to 50 plus queue times and playing other killers so maybe 35 hours playing Spirit. Either I'm some special talent at killer or she's broken if someone who just started playing can dominate with a supposedly "Hard" difficulty killer there is something wrong. Saying Spirit is the most balanced killer is actually insanity, there is zero counter play if you don't bring Spine Chill and Iron Will and still if Spirit brings Stridor you are pretty much done. With all of that being said I do agree that before Spirit gets looked at lower tier killers should get buffed. They should make it so you hear the phase sound even when you are in her terror radius so that stupid standing "mindgame" as people call it doesn't happen.
Yeah, it's insane. My guess is that these are mostly killer mains who started out with spirit, and think that every match is just supposed to be some sandbox where you totally determine the outcome. I started with ghostface, and got to where I can consistently perform well with him, but against skilled, coordinated survivors, I'm given a run for my money. When I play spirit, the game is dull and unchallenging. I could probably count on one hand the amount of times more than one person has escaped.
-
I'm a rank 5 killer main. I play a lot of killer, I think I'm pretty good, but I make mistakes all the time. Spirit is easily my least favorite killer to play because she is just so ridiculously easy, and there's hardly ever any punishment for the mistakes I make. There's hardly anything a survivor can do when I target them, even the biggest-brain plays just slow me down, five seconds at most. I rarely ever play survivor, but I hate spirit on both ends. It's good that she is effective, but it shouldn't be so easy to be effective with her. There's a reason why you see so many red rank spirits and it's because it's easy as cake to pip with her. It's not like you can't reach red ranks with hag, freddy, new nurse, billy, ghostface, or demo, but that takes actual skill. When the devs say spirit is "overperforming," it doesn't mean spirit players are better than other killer players. It means the opposite. It means she's way too easy. She's genuinely unfun and oppressive to play against.

@Quol said:
"Survivors don’t dislike Spirit because she’s the only Killer that consistently dominates."
We already know the reason survivors complain about Spirit is that she is the only killer that consistently dominates in chases. After she gets nerfed its off to Freddy because he is the only killer that can slow the game down so much, after he gets nerfed its off to Billy because he is the only killer that can pressure gens so well, after he gets nerfed its off to...
That being said its nice that survivors are finally starting to say it instead of the usual mindgames/beads BS.
People act like nurse just doesn't exist after the nerf. She's still an amazing killer with the ability to turn pallets, loops, and windows into a mere trifle, when they represent a substantial obstacle to other killers. It's just now she requires a modicum of technical skill, when before she was accessible and effective to every braindead chimp that picked her up. This is a good thing for a killer imo, brutally effective in skilled hands. Similar to ghostface but more so. Other killers like Billy and Freddy are also very powerful, but perhaps a little easier and more challenging in different ways. Spirit though, I think is way too easy and way too effective.
-
I think they legitimately can afford to run two perks to counter spirit, especially considering IW is great against nearly every killer, not just spirit. But of course, they shouldn't have to, and having to run meta builds that shut down a killer's power entirely is no fun for either party.

Rank doesn’t mean much, I’ve been beat by purple ranks with a full red rank team.
I'm a rank 6 killer and I beat a full red team last night, as clown too! And I've been humiliated by rank 15s more than I can count. Unless you're 4 or under, rank really just tells how much a person plays imo

the match we had it in was a random match, he ran ruin and we only had 1 gen done. He camped hook and i dont even know how he got tier 3 because he barely stalked me
So you lost because your team was incompetent. It happens, part of the game. It's not always your fault you die as a survivor. There's a reason the symbol for survivor is a clutch of gears.

The game should punish you for playing unfairly towards another player
It's an asymmetric game. It's unfair in a billion ways. The killer is supposed to be a powerful, scary serial killer. If a competent killer player wants to kill someone specific, they probably will, unless a competent team of survivors tries to rescue them. Against the vast majority of killer builds, a two-man rescue is pretty much a guaranteed unhook. Your teammates are as much to blame as the killer if you die to being facecamped, with exceptions to killers like leatherface or Myers.

fragrant tuft shouldnt even be a thing.....
It's extremely easy to beat a fragant tuft Myers. Rush gens and stay aware Myer's location, and cut LoS at any opportunity. If your teammates are doing the same, you'll be fine.

It's a pointless issue. People play video games to have fun, and if they're not having fun, they won't play. I went against an iri head + infantry belt huntress yesterday, and the 3 people went afk in the basement. No suicide, no DC, so I just joined them and watched YouTube.

No. Because you can't force someone to play against something they don't like. The unreasonable things that make most people DC in the first place (overpowered killers, one hit down addons etc) need to be addressed and fixed first to drastically reduce DCs.
I agree. They really need to revise the overpowered mechanics in this game.
I'm particularly irked by the one-hit-down mechanic: NOED, Tombstone Myers, Huntress with Iridescent Heads (especially when combined with an Infantry Belt). I played a game against the latter mentioned yesterday and it was horrible.
I could talk at length about how disgusting NOED is. It's disheartening to say the least, to play well all game and complete the gens – only to get downed with one hit when opening an exit gate. There's hardly any counter-play.
I'm okay with Myers' tier 3 exposed status mechanic. At least he builds up to tier 3. But I take exception to add-ons that maintain permanent tier 3.
I still don't know how to play against ghost face. I'll be repairing a generator one moment then the next – I'm exposed. GF pops out from behind a rock and downs me with one hit. No terror radius, no warning. I don't know if it’s the noise from the generator or what – but I struggle playing against him.
So, yeah, DC'ing sucks. But I can understand and sympathise with those who DC sometimes.
Don't know how to play against GF? Just use your eyes.

NOED is killer adrenaline. Every survivor and their mom runs adrenaline, we lucky not as many killers do.

While I like the idea of DCers being banned and punished, we have to admit that it will do NOTHING.
People on this forum already freely admit that they suicide on first hook to get arund DC punishments.
It's 30 seconds longer for the same result; a screwed-over Survivor team & a Killer cheated out of BP.
And they will never be punished for it, because it's not DCing.
The devs need to do something about first-hook suicides, since it's the same thing as disconnecting while using a technicality to avoid punishment.
But until the Devs do; expect to see an upsurge in scrubs just hook-suiciding when Killers play Spirit, Nurse, or Doctor, or use a loadout Survivors don't approve of.
That wouldn't fix it either. You can't force people to play when they don't want to. They'll afk, they'll stand by the hook when unhooked. It's pointless to try to solve, because you can't force people to take part in something they don't want to, lol

@Volfawott because I want to punish this person for playing in that manner. I want them to lose me. I want them to search desperately to find me before I die so they cannot get the points for the sacrifice on hook.
So pathetic, you're literally wasting everyones' time for something that is not even a win. You still sit on the ground doing nothing for four minutes, then die. Just run Unbreakable. I almost never get slugged, but when I do, I'm up and out of there. That's the counter to slugging, not hiding while you wait to die.
