If PS is anything like Xbox then I dont blame anyone for disabling messages. I've never encountered such vile trash talk coming from others players in all my years of gaming as I have done with Xbox players in DBD.
Oddly enough in the beginning, I thought it was just the DBD community as a whole due to my bad experience with console players for the first few years playing this game. I've now switched to PC and I hardly get any end game chat abuse. In fact I would say I get significantly more GGs, WP & positive comments than I get toxic end game chat on PC. 90% of PC SWFs will say GG. 70-80% of Xbox SWFs will send you PM abuse from all players in the team.
My conclusion is that it's actually console players that give this game a bad rep with toxicity & I'm glad they can't communicate with other platforms in end game chat.
No tarring everyone with the same brush but I would say 70-80% of console SWF teams I've encountered over the years are just utter scum bags that think it's okay to private message you abuse for literally no reason.
-
I've been playing without gen regression perks for so long now that I don't even really notice. I guess if you relied heavily on stacking gen perks then you're definitely going to feel it going against teams that are gen rushing.
The healing nerf is quite impactful though. I run quite a lot of tracking builds and the amount of times I see an aura healing from the other side of the map and head over that direction only to find the player is basically still injured by the time I get there.
Definitely a lot more stacking toolboxes in the lobbies though.
-
Console can never progress in terms of game optimization and QOL improvements due to the fact that the game is tied to last gen consoles.
I made the switch to PC a while back & whenever I jump back on console every now and again for a few games I literally just turn it off after like 2 games max because it's so infuriatingly bad. On the plus side having been gimped on console for like 2-3 years it's made me a pretty strong killer on PC.
-
Mostly play ranged killers these days so it doesn't bother me too much. You can't outrun the Deathslinger lol
-
I've barely encountered any toxic post game chats on PC. Every now and again I get a salty survivor that moans about some imaginary excuse for getting outplayed, but overall I've had a pretty positive experience on PC since I started about 6 months ago.
Now I played on Xbox for like 2 years prior to this a can't say the same for console players. They're literally the dregs of society. The amount of abuse you get in private messages is pretty disgusting. That's probably the reason console players aren't allowed end game chat. Not sure what PlayStation players are like, but Xbox survivors are pathetic.
-
Run lethal pursuer to get a fast first down and establish where you're going after that first down. Lethal pursuer can effectively stop 3 survivors for the first few minutes of a game and often get you 2-3 hooks in that time.
You'll also establish who the weak links are and who is the strongest survivor in the team. Focus the 2 weakest links and leave the strong survivors until later in the game.
I honestly don't know why more people don't run lethal pursuer. You can run it on like 80% of killers and stack lots of pressure straight off the bat, which is basically what you need to do as a killer. I barely even ran stacked regression perks pre nerf state so it's not a big deal for me. I rarely even kick gens these days unless I'm using nowhere to hide, which is another underrated perks that works well with lethal pursuer.
-
I mean if you're facing killers that let you run them for 5 minutes it's no wonder you have below average teammates. If the killer is garbage chances are the survivors aren't much better.
-
Played about 6 games with her and won pretty easily with her without even using any gen regression. She will probably be pretty oppressive for solo queue players due to her way of cutting off complete areas mid to end game.
The slow down seems to come from people actually having to constantly take rather large detours if you place the drones good locations.
Hex plaything works surprisingly well with her when you place it over the totem. I got quite a few exposed downs before they could even cleanse the totem.
Not the most exciting killer, but definitely one I'll play from time to time. I actually like the concept of having a killer that hunts for pleasure, but think they could have definitely done more with the drones. They kinda just sit there all match and I don't really feel like I get much interactions from them.
She actually might be quite a useful killer if you plan on running any hex builds. I guess you could get value from her power if you used it to protect your totems. I could imagine something like devour hope being particularly strong if you based 1 drone on the totem and the other 3 protecting the 3 closet gens to the totem. Might give that a bash tomorrow.
-
Just run lethal pursuer if you want to make survivors DC. The amount of DCs or hook suicide after downing someone in the first 15 seconds is just getting silly now.
Even if someone doesn't DC the whole team just straight up quits a lot of the time, depending on what killer they're up against when someone goes down straight away.
Earlier this evening a had 3 people DC/hook suicide in 1 min. I was running lethal pursuer and fearmonger on Bubba, with some extended chainsaw sweep duration add-ons and I took 3 people out in like 20 seconds. One was trying to hide and the two others just sat on a gen and didn't even bother running after I took the first person out. I guess they thought it was safe because it was on RPD and I was in the room next door. I was pretty hilarious to be honest, probably the best Bubba kill streak with 1 chainsaw sweep I've had.
-
Coming from console to PC the biggest issue I see with DH is the amount of FPS you have at your disposal. Like when you're playing at 120fps DH is more of an annoyance than overpowered. You might fall for it a few times per match but it's so easily countered by either waiting and/or using fast basic attack. Most people wait for a lunge attack to press it, but if you have high FPS a quick basic attack is generally very hard to counter with DH.
Playing on console is a completely different story though and I would imagine it would be similar with lower spec PCs that can't get high FPS. It feels very oppressive when you're on console and is significantly stronger.
This could also be said for many aspects of the game through. Better computer performance means better, more consistent gameplay.
-
DCing has definitely increased 10 fold from even a few months ago. I run lethal purser a lot because I just like to get the game started and put down pressure fast.
The amount of people that either DC or just straight up quit when getting downed within 30 seconds in huge. It really seems to be the number one issue with DCs/quitting. Occasionally you get people quit mid game when they realise they can't win but most of it happens within 1 min and usually after an early down.
Funny thing if that a lot of these teams go on to have a good match with 3 players and could have potentially won if that person didn't DC.
-
On a side note I got a free months subscription to PC game pass with my computer and I was surprised to see that I could access all of my characters and progress in the cloud version of the game. I quickly downloaded the DBD in game pass PC only to find out that they basically have 2 different versions and the download version is a fresh account.
I really hope at some point that they merge the progress if my Xbox account to the PC game pass account. It kinda makes sense for them to do that because currently I'm probably not going to buy anymore characters or cosmetics on console, but I might be inclined to spend money on both my steam and console account if I can play both on PC.
-
Don't expect to get anything on console. After playing on Xbox for a few years I finally started on PC due to treating myself to a 2.5k setup for work purposes (cough, cough).
I was very surprised when going to PC that I actually had to go in and modify certain aspects of the game files to make the game run & look better, including unlocking 60fps to 120fps.
If they can't even be bothered adding those features in game on PC without having to go through the process of changing lines of code I really can't see them actually doing anything for console optimisation.
One positive thing coming from console to PC after two years of being gimped as a console killer is that I'm extremely good on PC now.
-
I've noticed that recently also. Had multiple games with boons up and never heard the prompt.
-
Seems kinda dumb just to make a huge number of perks & builds completely irrelevant because she's strong with starstruck, effectively forcing anyone who plays her into a full regression and tracking builds.
I mean starstruck can snowball on most killers, but it can also be complete garbage. It's mega strong on Deathslinger also especially when you pair it with the addon that exposes when you land a shot over 12m. I honestly win more consistently with Deathslinger using starstruck build than I do with nurse.
-
The game simply isn't big enough for them to care. They've probably had some backlash from paying advertisers that don't want to be associated with a game that depicts violence and killing. Now if it was COD or something as popular then things might be different.
-
Only time I will suicide is if my team mates just all sit on gens and let me go to stage 2 before they decide to come and save me. I see that a fair amount of times these days. Probably my biggest pet hate next to people just blatantly suiciding on hook without ever giving you a chance to save them.
-
You get like 1 million blood points on the 13th of each month for IR1 on each side. Lesser grades reward less points.
It doesn't really mean anything. It's more of an indicator of how much you play power month. IR1 on killer is pretty easy, but solo survivor is much more difficult due to the amount of times you lose from people DCing, suicide on hook or just have a bad run of games.
I personally think they should just remove it from the game it serves no purpose and it actually makes people play more sweaty until they reach IR1 due to not wanting to depip. Game would probably be more chill in general if you didn't have a pointless rank system that nobody can see anyway. Just compensate with more blood points for matches to make up for the lost bonus on the 13th.
-
Main problem I have is that they won't introduce keyboard and mouse support for a cross platform game that gives you significant advantages when using them. It's just lazy & I hope that one day that option comes along.
Other than that I don't mind. I get fast games and generally Xbox players are the most toxic players I come across, even when I play on my laptop every now and again I never experience the kind of abuse that I get from private messages through Xbox.

I don't believe you because most killers that run these legendary 4 regression perks are in the red grades it's the only stuff like that belongs in higher grades, you said average which means you're somewhere between the gold and ash ranks.Which means those dudes only play with killers you buy with shards and bunch of ghostfaces. You are asking for buffs in a pleading way.
Also anyone who has been playing this game knows you need to climb out of the lower ranks fast to have better games and casual players don't even want to be in the red ranks so they purposely kill them selves and buffing solo que want make somebody from DCing,it want make them from not going down,it want make them come save you,it will still be the same and swf will only have another tool.
I'm not pleading for buffs. Im stating that I think gen rushing, which gets thrown around a lot isn't really a thing in solo queue anymore. It's used as an excuse to tunnel, camp & run meta perks all the time.
I'll normally cap IR1 on killer in like the first week after reset using meta perks because it's so easy. After that I'll just mess about with random killers and random non meta perks and builds because I find it more enjoyable playing weird builds as killer & after hitting IR1 I really don't care if I win or lose.
I'll normally finish up with my survivor rank at like gold 1 because I don't invest that much time in it. Yeah I class myself as average, but I still know how to play the game and can do most survivor related tasks to a reasonable level.
The fact is that if I mess about with perks not related to either gen speed, information or healing I'm basically just a hindrance and weak link to my team. I can't really say the same for killer. I can run builds with no regression and still dominate & snowball games.
As others have stated ranks are just a time investment. Yet getting IR1 is significantly harder in solo q survivor than killer. Killers regardless of ranks & even at average MMR will run multiple regression perks, tunnel & camp all the time.
I just think more killers & survivors should spend time playing the other side just to get a true reflection of what's going on in the game. Maybe people would have a better understanding and more respect for each other.
-
As annoying as it is the core problem is that people are just getting annoyed at how frustrating solo queue can be even if you intend to play fair & in a non toxic manner. If you have someone DC or suicide on hook they've probably had like a bad run of games and just rage quit out of frustration more than anything.
The problem is that it's much more frequent now for people to have a bad losing streak, so what you see is the consequence of what's going on in the game with balance, tunneling, camping, regression perks etc etc.
It's not an excuse, but it's certainly a consequence of how frustrating the game currently is for solo survivors. I personally think there's should be some kind of karma system that you get negative points for DCing. Once you fall below a certain threshold you get teamed up with the rest of the people who have a bad karma rating & the only way of getting back up is by playing the game properly and being awarded positive points for doing objectives/finishing game etc.
-
I have a series X and even though you won't see any crazy lag spikes or game freezes like on old gen consoles the performance still isn't great in comparison to PC. Even on my potato laptop the performance when it comes to tracking survivors after a hit or any kind of FOV techs it performs much better. Like it's almost impossible to lose a survivor on PC. It's only really console that suffers from the FOV techs. Not sure if it's to do with frame rates, cross platform servers or just bad optimization.
One thing for sure is that it's definitely noticeable if you've played on both PC and console.
-
The theory behind timing DH is pretty simple. You look behind you and basically wait until you see that initial attack/lunge animation and push the button. The problem is that it works sometimes and other times it doesn't. The perk is very inconsistent when used the correct way & I'm guessing it probably works better for people with better computers and better connections. Playing on the series X and trying to figure out when the best time to hit it is basically just guess work. I guess that's why a lot of people spin fake into DH because it probably gives them more success using the perk.
I have seen in the past a lot of people I suspect to be using some sort of auto scripts for DH. I've had whole teams that land every single one multiple times, even when trying to bait out the DH. Been playing survivor a bit more lately so I haven't really noticed if there's been a decrease or not.
It's also the kinda hack that could be very hard to detect if it's using like sound to trigger the script. It could basically be something that monitors every killers attack/lunge noise in the background which activates the DH much faster than you can visually see on the screen.
The perk redesign is kinda bad & easily open to being abused by hacks & most people wouldn't even question it.
-
First time I started playing DBD I got John Wayne Gacy vibes from The Clown. Not his story, but more the visual look.
-
I mean 3 genning as Killer was always like a high % chance you would win the game if you got 3 in close proximity even before the kick gen meta. The only thing now is it feels significantly more oppressive because you basically can't do s**t as a survivor. At least before you kinda felt like you had a chance, even though most of the time you would probably lose at a 3 gen scenario you still had hope.
These days I honestly see 1 early DC or hook suicide like every other match. It must be like 2-3 every 5 games. I think solo queue survivors are so tired of the current meta that they feel helpless and are a bit worn down by the whole regression meta. A lot of games recently I've been in the whole team didn't even do gens anymore and just messes with the killer trying to get chases & sabo hooks etc. I didn't even think they're doing it to be toxic I think they're just bored. I know I'll run these kind of builds every now and again when I get bored, but I've seen a big increase lately in people just messing about.
-
Gen rushing with 2 toolboxes (1 green, 1 yellow), no BNP & 1 prove thyself hardly qualifies for a gen rushing squad 🤣🤣🤣

I know people often are annoyed when people say to nerf the new killer 'because they don't know how to play against them yet' and while I feel that sometimes rings true, this is b.s.
Throughout all the games I have played against the Knight (maybe a dozen in total) there is not a single killer who exploits the game more than him. Blame it on the community, blame it on the individual killer all you want, but the developers LET this happen, and they're not going to care to fix it.
I've played killer, I've played survivor, I can tell you for a fact it is a killer-oriented game. That's not too big of a problem though, the win rate shouldn't be 50-50 and should be more 20-80 in favour of the killers, I'm not disagreeing. But I have not once won against the knight unless they are giving the game to the survivors once.
The main reason? Not skill. Not because the survivors are bad. The knight's are CONSTANTLY camping/tunnelling/slugging/any other exploit they can get away with. Even twice in the matter of 3 games in one night, the Knight has put someone on the hook, camped and used his green sphere to find others while staying put. Done this to every survivor.
What I hate is that the green sphere with the additional knight has no boundaries. Unless you have a few specific perks, you can't outrun it, you can't pull pallets down, you are 100% going to be hit. And the killer can just repeatedly do this while camping the person on the hook. If anyone goes for this person, they have to look out for the knight and his little buddies he sends. Over and over and over again. I'm not kidding when I say it has exclusively been a knight problem, the exploits are so easy to get away with with him, and that's why it's so abused. It's the least fun I've had playing, where you go on the hook once and you might as well not bother to get anyone on the hook either, because you're dead. Even when I think of how to counter him and this method of play, there's nothing. I'm not going to bother going for players on the hook now when I play against the knight because it is every game. The knight needs a nerf cause I'm not even sure I care to play against him. It'd be different if they played the game properly, but the knight is so clearly the biggest 'toxic and exploiting' killer that he is the easiest go-to of any toxic player, and that's the problem.
Camping, tunneling & slugging aren't exploits. An exploit is when you abuse an unintentional game mechanic for your own benefit, like the current inner healing bug that's now been disabled.
I've played against him a fair bit and I can't really say he camps anymore than any other killer I face. Bubba still tops it for me, I reckon like 98% of the bubba's I see basically just face camp.
That being said he is both quite boring to both face & play. I don't really like that most of my games with him turn into 25-30 min games when facing decent survivors. Sadly his chase potential is kinda slow and you kinda get forced into playing the long game with a 3-4 gen defence.

Yeah but what do you get from factoring in dc games into the escape rate when it's clear to every one that those game aren't fair. This way you inflate the kill rate and then what? Most players would see the lower escape rate and demand killer nerfs cause they don't care that its from games that could not be won in the first place. A statistic about dc games would be very interesting on its own to see how serious the problem is so the dcs can be fought. If you count them in all you do is basicly punish killers for not letting the survivors farm and escape when there is a dc because when it comes to balance they look at the kill/escape rates
Yeah maybe just a better breakdown of all factors accounted for, but I guess it's easier for them not to show that information because of the negative effect it might have on the playerbase.
-
@Dionysus42 said:
Escape rates are low if you inflate the kill rate with matches that are impossible to escape from because someone leaves the game 30 seconds in, wow what a discovery
If you choose not to include them and add SWF data then you just inflate the pretend 40% escape rate for the majority of solo queue players.
Having accurate data based on actually what is happening in game is much more important than having some unrealistic ratio that doesn't actually exist in the real world.
I'm pretty sure most solo players would be happy with escaping 35-40% of the time but sadly that's not what's happening for most players.
-
The problem with regression stacking perks is that they become significantly stronger when you have 1-2 gens left.
I've won lots of games with only 1 gen left with 3-4 survivors remaining because they just can get any progress. As soon as it's down to 3 survivors it's basically over for them. Had this been pre gen regression perks meta I would have probably lost a lot of those games. The perks definitely carry you when you should most likely lose in situations like that.
On the flip side I've been in plenty of solo matches where I'm sure we're going to win. 2 gens left and like maybe 3 hooks, but then it's just like hitting a wall. You cannot progress any gen, especially against a high mobility killer. Slowly you start to lose the match and before you know it your team falls apart.
-
I honestly can't see how anyone playing solo could have an escape rate of 45-50% just now?
Unless you're playing a build that you basically don't interact with the killer at all & run multiple perks/items/add-ons that allow you to escape at the end via hatch or gate it's statistically impossible. You would literally have to play every game very selfishly & try your hardest not to interact with the killer.
DCs/hook suicide must account for like at least 30% of a solo queue players loses. So that effectively means if you didn't have to deal with DC/suicide you would probably be in the region of escaping like 75% of the time with a current escape rate of 45-50%.

The only settings what might work for DBD are gamma (for brightness) and colour balance (more red to see scratchmarks and red stain better). Colour temperature and HDR won't matter. And brightness (in my case OLED brightness) just makes everything brighter, which you don't really want.
Did you calibrated a certain TV mode just for DBD, switching to this mode everytime you play DBD?
Yeah I have it all adjusted & preset on the game mode picture, which also helps with performance. Not exactly sure what the internal settings are in that mode but can definitely see a difference in things like skill checks. Other modes there seemed to be a slight delay in skill checks.
Whatever I've got the settings at it's a massive difference from the base settings. I don't struggle to see on any maps. Only time is when I play Freddy on certain dark maps and even then it's not too bad.
-
Nurse is fine the only really difference is that it's much easier to track players during the fatigue on PC. Blight takes much more practice, but it's doable.
Any killer that you aim with Deathslinger, Trickster, Pinhead, Huntress is really just a pain. I mean you can get pretty decent but you basically have to spend a lot of time practicing and really have to keep playing them to keep that muscle memory up. It's really easy to lose any kind of gains you've made on ranged killers if you take extended breaks I find.
I just wish that would add keyboard and mouse support. I really feel like I'm missing out on killers that I would actually enjoy playing, but can't because it's so gimped on console. Like I have DBD on my laptop and I actually really enjoyed playing Trickster, Deathslinger and huntress, which is something I really can't say about console. It's just frustrating even when you do get semi decent at it.
Console also had some weird sync s**t going on when playing cross platform. On PC the hit registration feels so much better.

There's not really a difference between modern TVs and PC monitors when it comes to these settings.
Why do you think PC players don't just increase brightness via their monitors? It doesn't work for DBD, that's why they have to do it via Nvidea settings, ingame graphic settings and/or using filters. Which we all doesn't have on consoles.
Well that's not true. I have my TV settings adjusted using all the standard adjustments & all the other settings that adjust gamma, warmth, hue, colour balance, HDR etc etc. My TV is significantly brighter and I've boosted the reds to make scratch marks more visible. I also have DBD on my laptop and the difference between my console & laptop is huge. The laptop I can barely see on certain maps.

If one of your teammates gets tunneled out with 3 or 4 gens up, there’s no point in playing anymore. You can find a new lobby in 2 secs as a survivor so why bother staying in the match?
The killer doesn’t care about your fun and only wants a 4k so why not let them have it while you’re in a more fun and balanced match?
What’s funny is that most killer start going easy on the survivors once they’ve tunneled someone out at 5 gens, like the remaining survivors are enjoying the match and want it to last as long as possible
What's even more funny is that you seem to think it's pointless playing unless you get 3 gens done without losing a survivor. Basically you're saying it's pointless playing unless you have a very high chance of winning a match lol
-
@Katzengott said:
Trapper is the only killer i fear, as the game is dark as intended on console and there's no way to increase brightness.
Can't really loop vs. Trapper, traps could be everywere. And if there is grass i just can't see them.
Its called adjusting your TV settings 😂
-
Put on a bunch of tracking perks and forget about trying to get kills. Go for chases and learn how to read and mind game survivors. Mess about at loops & learn the maps as killer. Still do objective when you can I.e hook, kick gens etc. But don't focus on winning. Once you decide pre-game that your intention isn't too win but to mesdvabout and have fun and learn the game from a killers point of view it becomes less stressful when you don't put any expectations on yourself to win.
-
I've had a few strange things happening lately like skill check bars staying after I leave a gen or the wiggle bar staying on screen after I'm hooked. Feels like some other actions also have a delay. Like DH is super unreliable. Some times I'll wait out the swing and my DH works and others it just doesn't trigger at all.
-
Thing is you didn't know about it & now after one game you got caught out by it & you now know about it so what's the big problem? It's like one game you probably wanted to tbag and got what you deserved anyway. Now you know that potentially the Knight might block you at the gate, but probably unlikely because there's better add-ons.
-
I mean unless You're like a mad outfit collector and you want them all I don't really see what the issue is.
It's actually quite nice to have cosmetics that won't be available forever. In a few years time you can flex with your limited edition pink jump suit that new players don't have.
Now if they offer something as limited edition and in a few years they sell it again then that's when things start getting a bit shady.

This is a weird take.
Imagine in a game people complain because one side has an atomic bomb that the other side has to counter with only 4 sticks. The side with the atomic bomb always manages to either wipe the other team or at the very least kill one of the 4 in the enemy team each time they press the "Atomic bomb" button.
When the side with the atomic bomb inevitably wins, the other side will obviously will complain. Yet your take is "lmao don't fall for it, you're giving a terrible impression of yourself."
The counterplay to the atomic bomb is several degrees more difficult to pull off than pressing the button to release the bomb. The people trying to counter it aren't making themselves look ridiculous when only the most skilled players get to actually counter it.
Your take only works if the tactic is easy to counter, like getting poked with a needle and dying when your team all have guns. That's when the other side is looking ridiculous for complaining.
If survivors complain for dying to a trapper's trap, I'd understand your take, but things like getting slugged, tunneled out or face camped require ridiculous amounts of coordination and team play from one side, and just the choice to do it from the other. I don't think the recieving end looks that bad when they could easily be average survivors vs a low tier killer and still be unable to coordinate against it.
ROFL what???
-
Spawns have felt a bit off recently I thought. Like I'm spawning a lot as killer in the centre of the map, which makes it actually very difficult to know where to go first. If you're a killer running Lethal and this happens you will be on someone within 10 seconds easily. I mean even without that perk you can easily be on someone if you get lucky on your first gen checked. On the flip side I've had 1 gen pop because I've failed to find anyone when the spawn location is the middle of map.

If you think you're being fat shamed you should see the knight. Oni is twice his size both length wise and width wise and I feel he fits through things easier than Knight. He's thicc af yet I feel knight gets fat shamed much more than him.
Yeah he feels overly big. Even his weapon swings get caught sometimes on random objects on certain corner objects that are normally fine on most killers.
-
The thing I hate most about about deadhard is that it basically renders lunge attacks completely useless. This is even true when the person doesn't even have deadhard because you obviously don't know at that point.
Lunge attacks are a core mechanic in this game and this perk alone means a core mechanic of the game is pointless because you have to treat every chase as if they have deadhard. You need to make sure you close the distance until you're basically up their a** and then bait out DH .
It's like a killer having a perk that just allows them on demand every 40 seconds to push a button & just stop a survivor from vaulting mid chase.
-
I think a lot of survivor mains confuse proxy camping with establishing a solid 4-5 gen defence they can patrol easily mid game. Like if I have someone on hook I'll move to the closest gens first and look to secure an area. If the survivor happens to be hooked in that area, which they most likely will due to smart survivors trying to break a possible 3 gen then in not going to move away to the other side of the map to pressure a gen that is completely irrelevant to the late game. Frankly is you do that then you're pretty much giving the game away.
-
I know what a friendly tbag looks like. It wasn't intended that way.
They thought because they ran a few pallets and played a few loops that somehow it meant something.
I don't particularly care I just thought it was a funny moment to try and mock the killer.

Boil Over is not that effective to where you have to bleed out players. Unless your controller has really bad drift, it’s probably a skill issue.
No boil over has been functioning strangely on console for about the last 4 weeks or so. The effect is that strong at times that it literally prevent you from moving at all.
Oddly it's actually felt okay since the Knight patch so maybe they resolved whatever the issue was.

I'm sick of this, I'm not doing it any more. I cannot stand console killers, they always facecamp. ALWAYS. Stop forcing me to deal with this and give me an indicator that tells me if the killer is a console player.
How do you know it's not PC players on epic? They also have the icon
And trust me there's really not that many Xbox players in the EU playing this game. If I turn off xplay it takes like forever to get a game on both sides. Not sure what is like on PS.
I would honestly like the option to have just cross platform for console players only, but it would never happen because the queue times would be too long for all players.

He's not as bad as I initially thought, but I do find his games really drag on when playing against a decent team or SWF. I've actually won most of my games with him using 3 perk regression build & nowhere to hide, but the games against good teams take like 25 mins because it's basically just running my 3 gen regression and sending out jailers to harass. Eventually I'll wear them down and break enough pallets or land some downs to slowly win the game, but it takes a long time. Most of the time the matches feel quite uneventful and play out the same way.
I've tried other fun builds on him, but he just doesn't have the fast chase potential and map pressure I normally like in my killers to pull these kind of builds off.
As things stand though a good team just outplays any kind of minion interaction on him. Yeah you can force people out of a loop easily, but by the time you've done that they're half way to the next loop. Once you create dead zones is much easier to force them out a loop and get a hit/down, but until that point is better to use his power to lock down certain areas/gens and patrol potential paths survivors might take to go for a rescue. Obviously if you have an easy loop with dead spots it's good to use them to secure a hit on those areas.
Not the best, not the worst. If you enjoy long drawn out games that you slowly wear down your opponent then he's probably the perfect killer for you.

I mean already people are clocking on to it earlier in game so it's one of those perks that gets some value early game and gets limited value as the game goes on because it really only works once before it's becomes really obvious the killer has it.
You also have a counter perk to it so if you really want to just creep around gens all game with your stealth build then you might have to consider changing out a perk to counter a killers ability to let you hide 5m away behind a rock all game.
