I'm sure BHVR will solve this problem because when it comes to feedback that affects Killers they listen.
-
When Survivors complain about Killer they are told to get good and learn counterplay and mocked for refusing to gain skill but then when that happens you get posts like this.
-
Higher skill potential but then suggests things that eliminate said skill potential.
-
I hardly see incentive on Survivor anymore and 25-50% isn't going to cut it. It's just not worthwhile playing for a nominal amount of Bloodpoints.
-
How much are you all staring at skins? Sounds like there is projection going on. Majority of the match is just you. And when you are interacting with someone else I doubt you're staring at the skin and focused on the interaction.
-
Sounds like a waste of dev time. Characters like James would have Cheryl's voice or Were-Elk would have default hum. License holsers would not approve.
-
The way Perks are being defined these days is comical. A whole lot of gatekeeping going on and I'm not talking about the actual gates.

This will make slugging for 4K even easier.
I find funny how people want to punish survivors for hiding, but stuffs like tunneling, camping and slugging, something that has been a problem since release is untouched because "is a game mechanic"
I hinted to this in an earlier reply to RyanB. I didn't want to list those things to sidetrack the topic though.
-
Map selection is crap. I'm always looking at a Colwind, Yamaoka or Ormond map. I can't remember the last time I saw maps like Coal Tower, Gas Haven, Shelter Woods, Hawkins to name a few. Nowadays to have a chance seeing them use to use a Map.
-
Withdraw.
-
SWF wouldn't be complained about if SoloQ was more competent. Killers seem perfectly complacent with easy wins.
-
No to both. It sounds good on paper but both are just bad changes.
-
More reasons to lobby dodge at the idea of 4 meta Yui in a lobby.
-
I doubt we'll see anything until the patch hits on Tuesday. They seem to do that stuff within the Patch Notes now.

I know the exact one you mean, cause I cacked my draws too... nearly dropped my damn controller xD
I was facing a Dredge as well, so I proper bricked it and spent the next 10 seconds swearing repeatedly to myself as I tried to calm back down again on my way to shack gen xD
Haha. Sometimes while hanging out on Discord we are all playing or doing different things. My scream scared everyone on the call and they were all wondering what made me scream. I needed to compose myself before trying to explain to them DBD things.

Any Rewinder of the Video Horror Society knows there was also behind the scenes drama between the Devs and the Rewinders. That had a big influence on their demise. The Devs were very unprofessional.

Why do people think that whatever solution BHVR comes up with to address slugging, it will "remove player agency"? I'm sure I don't need to remind anyone here but:
- You can still tunnel someone out, despite basekit BT exisiting.
- While you can't face camp so easily anymore (unless you are Bubba or Tomestone Myers), you can of course still very effectively proxy camp.
- You can still defend a 3 gen, you just can't defend one indefinitetly and stall the game until the server times out.
I've been able to do all of these things to start making kills whenever I've felt them to be necessary. These mechanics being in the game haven't affected my agency when playing Killer at all. They've just made them more counterable for Survivors and less free of risk to Killers when they use such strategies. I swear there are some Killer players out there that won't be happy until they can 4K in every single trial.
Why don't we wait and see what solution BHVR has for the 4 man slugging strategy that has emerged before worrying about the threat it might pose to player agency?
If I have an idea as to why other asyms are not so popular, it would be because they don't already have 8 years of licensed and original content for players to delve into and play around with. They also tend to be tied to using content from one exclusive franchise and that can get pretty stale after a while. DBD's simple gameplay mechanics, cheaper price and ability to run (mostly OK) on something as low tech as a Nintendo Switch are also things that work very well in its favour.
Taking away agency is just a fancy way of saying my control is being taken away. For whatever reason Survivor balance is being dictated by the control freaks.
-
Substitute "agency" for "inconvenience." Killers hate to be inconvenienced more than Survivor.

From the e-mail text:
A few days ago you received your 2024 end of year stats. An error was experienced which resulted in a few of inaccuracies for some players. As one of the impacted players, we’re reissuing you an email with the correct information.
Thank you. I view on mobile. I guess with the formatting I missed that.
-
And they'll all have shocked Pikachu faces and complain when BHVR intervenes.
-
Where does the line get drawn. They consider crashing the game during the Offering screen or after bad behavior but avoiding lobbies are fine. Any other game and you are committed to the match as soon as a lobby is created.

The slugging thing is a recent development. Just a month ago, it wasn't that bad.
Most of the aspects you mention, are nothing new.
So again, what changed?
The survey about Slugging last month. If it warranted survey attention then it's obvious something the Devs need feedback on. Now because of the attention people are doing it more than ever. Just a way to be toxic.

Can someone explain to me, what exactly happened?
What changed, that people now feel the need to slug?
I seriously don't get it.
Something about 10 extra seconds on hook isn't fair.
-
DBD has been arguably the most Killer Sided it's been and Killer players still feel shafted and a struggle. Shocker when Survivor complains about certain playstyles instead of asking for reasonable matches. It's always Killer desiring fair play but are hypocrites.
-
Everyone wasting meaningless time. Just because you know your MMR doesn't mean your lobby is the same. Remember how everyone voted for faster matchmaking than tighter matchmaking?
-
Think about how bad that would be for some Killers who need or want certain Very Rare Addons for their build. Their Bloodwebs would be hijacked by Offerings taking the Very Rare spots. We also don't need to clog the Bloodweb even more with new Offerings.
-
Funny how my own personal Escape rate is pretty close to 40%.
-
I just don't care to see a Mori multiple times a day. I especially don't want to see them in stomp matches or early 3vs1 scenarios where games obviously aren't good for the 3 remaining Survivor.
-
I've seen it said multiple times this week but are Survivor really going around throwing pallets? Do people have Bond and witness this?
-
See what I mean OP. All the replies went off topic to push their own agenda. They don't care what you think.
-
Certain kinds of players care more about fairness than any other reason and of course BHVR got their arms twisted by the spoiled ones.
-
Nice reverse psychology you're asking for. If you can't find out if they are SWF before hand then ask for the opposite and guarantee the lobby is Solo players. No thanks.
-
Bots shouldn't be anywhere outside of Custom.

Why I am not surprised that you were the one to turn this into an "us vs them" thing…
I mean if people want to mock Survivors for using it then it's fair game to mock Killers for complaining about it.
-
Killers need a scapegoat I guess on why they didn't 4K.
-
The irony of their post when their name is a Moon Knight quote.
-
His stream title is always something about High MMR. He believes he's constantly playing sweat squads. Key point to how he plays.
-
Why are you teleporting with Tinkerer? Tinkerer is to sneak attack while Undetectable. They ptobably know you have Tinkerer and turn off the TV if it's something you've done already.
-
They make every pallet tile outside of shack unsafe to work with. Of course people are going to Predrop.
-
Endorsement system is manipulative way to condition people to play a certain way and not for the player to enjoy themselves how they want.
-
I hope to Entity that color can be Accessible.
-
I'm dead from laughing at this XD.

The reason bonechill is an event is because people are likely not playing like done in normal queue, if it was in normal queue people who wanted a normal game could not get one.
Yes but you give people an optional lobby that's dedicated to event things. But people queue up and don't even do the event stuff. It just becomes a regular match. Then you see posts on events being played sweaty. All this Bone Chill stuff could have been added into standard lobby and nothing would change much. Even with the Halloween event no one was doing the side stuff much.
-
There is Survivor to Survivor griefing. I'm trying to die on hook because I know the game is over. Little Meg doesn't want to be Mori'd so she rushes to save me. Then she surrenders herself so she can Sacrifice and I be the one Mori'd. Just a new level of selfishness behavior.

I was going to go into the TTV's VOD but they don't keep them. The TV seems to runs Windows of Opportunity, Scene Partner, Lithe and that one Lara Croft Perk. The TTV usually duos. Their Duo also had the Lara Croft Perk, Lithe, Decisive Strike and Windows of Opportunity. I no longer have the uncensored screenshot. I had Hyperfocus, Stakeout, Kindred and Balanced Landing. But I'm sure people will still say the slugging is deserved.
-
It's hilarious to see mental gymnastics about the Perks. Like even blocking out the Perks and people focus on the Perks and not the actual behavior and whether it's so called "deserved." Somehow it's always Survivor's fault for this kind of stuff and not just a Killer going into a match to do this.
I play 100% Solo so it's impossible for me to be a "bully" or run perceived bully Perks.

If you get 4 man slugged against a non insta-down killer I'm sorry but that's a skill issue.
Not necessarily your skill issue or fault, but overall a team skill issue.
Welcome Solo Bone Chill where people are a mixed bag.

Less things for killer mains on the forums to bring in as an excuse on how the survivors "deserved it."
See, you know what's up. It's irrelevant to the point.
-
Also the person getting hooked managed to 4% to which The Good Guy decided to just slug him. The person ended up disconnecting.
