It's not a good thing for the game.
-
There are probably more people who only want to play Killer and letting others reduce queue time for them instead of pitching in which is why it's not working.
-
They are over-nerfed but what else is new in game balance. 20% feels like a joke. I have better odds Kobe-ing than a Map Offering working.
-
I doubt anyone whose job is working on a game would want to play the game. Sounds like a good way to burnout looking at the same stuff all day.

Hmm what should she have done? Given the killer a 4K, I presume?
Not sure if you're being sarcastic but the match went from a 3 Escape to a 4K because she decided to play for Hatch after the first person got Sacrificed.

The AFK Crows got massively nerfed, and I’ve literally never seen a survivor with 3 crows, since the nerfs happened.
And I’m still dealing with survivors excessively hiding. They’re just bypassing the AFK Crows, since they are so weak.
I had a Mikaela who decided they were going to play for Hatch. While I was hooked I could see they were just running in circles in the corner of the map. The entire 140 seconds or so while I was on hook I don't think they got any crows. The AFK is definitely flawed.
-
Spawn changes made the start too predictable especially on indoor maps. Unless they have Lethal Pursuer I can already be on the other side of the map freely doing a Gen.
-
It's all about Killrates and naturally Killer gets the better gaming experience.
-
They nerf Map Offerings for their opinions but meanwhile we have to specify feedback on why we think the Fog Vial nerf is bad. Let me be a Balance Consultant
-
Seems like we have two Scout roles now with the changes to Guide.

I totally hear the frustration here and know I personally can't change how these nerfs feel for you, but I do want to make sure the feedback I'm bringing back to the team is as specific as possible and as representative of your experiences in the game as possible. With that, it makes it easier to advocate for changes.
If you don't mind me pulling this back a step to dig into the details, I'd like to ask two specific questions:
1. Of the two recent nerfs to Fog Vials (reduced opacity; max 2 charges), do you feel that one of these in particular pushed the item from feeling viable to feeling like it's not worth using? If so, which was it?
2. If you could make one specific change to Fog Vials that'd push them towards being an item you'd enjoy using, what would it be?
I hear the more general feedback (and rest assured, it's being collected and shared with the team), but if there are specific facets of the recent nerfs that felt most impactful, I want to make sure I'm giving them my particular attention. That, and things that could make Fog Vials feel better for you (like the great suggestions of increasing the total charges a little more).Funny how 60 seconds on a Fog Vial is too oppressive but free Survivor tracking from Phantom Fear is fine. Making the Fog Vial limited is overkill.

I didn't even know this was happening.

And then survivors are only sticking with medkits, toolboxes and flashlights and killer mains will keep complaining until those items are also nerfed lmao
It's already happening on this thread. 🤣

Hey folks. I totally hear your concerns here, but also want to give some background. Balancing is an iterative process that takes time to find a sweet spot, and this is very much another step in that process. To quote one of my favourite fantasy series', "journey before destination".
We 100% want to hear your feedback once you get a chance to play a few Trials with this new change, so please let us know how it's feeling. We're here to grab that feedback and make sure the team is made aware.
Being seen within the fog ruins the whole 50/50 of hiding in the fog or keep running...I'm forced to just run out of the fog and not use it to mindgame. Even if I do run out of the fog my silhouette is still visible and I'm forced to use the Iridescent Add-On.
2 charges is pointless compared to all I can do with other Items.
Also, buff Blood Amber. Either remove the penalty or revert it back to only I can see the Killer Aura.

Meanwhile dragging their heels on Clown and Ghoul.

When Fall Guys has had something before Dead by Daylight 🤭

I don't know why they they removed the silence that happens when he uses the door. Onryo, Nightmare and Dredge gives cues to their teleport.
7 doors and 7 Generators with each Generator getting one. There is nothing really for cameras to cover the dead space inbetween. Also, doors tend to be towards the perimeter rather than the center. Using cameras are pointless.
For someone who is supposed to be an engaging Killer he is quite the opposite.

It's pretty clear you only care about one side of this game. Hopefully whoever intakes all this feedback notices that sort of skewed bias.
They don't. I've been told a few times already.
-
They double downed too hard on balance as with most things. From the sounds of it they don't want Killers using anything but Survivor Pudding.
-
I wish the MMR Update came before the extreme hiding and go next measures since MMR is a cause of those issues. What are those people doing in lobbies they shouldn't be in? My MMR is suffering because of them.

Survivors spawning together was a change in killer favor. You now can pinpoint their spawn location rather than guess multiple of them. Survivors have to spread further to work on multiple gens as rushing close gens would hurt them massively in late game. You now defienetly lose 1-2 gens faster than you used to but overall gen progress is not as spread as it used to be. It's more of people running the same meta (pain res, corrupt, dms, surge) and stalling the most repaired gens to the moment where everyone was dead while there were multiple gens with high progress, now it's more of particular gens have high progress. So there is no way to think that new spawn favors survivors in any way.
I know. Quid pro quo.
-
Can someone help me understand how it got DDoS'd? Did a person on the friendlist slip in? Or anyone can spectate? I just don't understand how the hacker got in.
-
Why should they. Nothing would ever get done and she would 4K every match.
-
The veil issue seems like it's a problem with any Survivor. I think last Rift someone pointed it out with Jake's community skin and I know Felix's Jonathan cosplay does the same thing.
-
Dedicated Server disconnects should not count.
-
Phantom Fear is the Fog Vial of Killer.
-
Murky Regeant is a permanent Fog Vial effect now instead of bringing a Fog Vial.
-
I got trapped by a Huntress on Badham and must have waited what felt like 6 minutes to be free. It's a flawed system.

Yeah, I was waiting on the Lara skins. But I won’t be buying them, or anything else from them for that matter. Several of my friends are of the same mindset. Not giving money to people that don’t value their customers. None of us are touching survivor at all. Some of us won’t play whatsoever. I’m doing another BG3 play through.
Exactly. I haven't spent money in nearly a year. Letting the Sable Mains support the game.
-
I feel like I always get the same Maps. Or why is it always Greenville Square and never Garden of Joy or the FNAF Maps. I just use them to shake up the monotony.
-
I said last week no one will be happy with them until they are made useless and here we are.
-
Apples and oranges.
-
An update that was supposed to enhance Survivor gameplay gone so fast. 🤣🤣🤣
-
There were more people outraged than there were people abusing it.

It sets a dangerous precedent, because it teaches the community if they keep yelling and screaming BHVR will capitulate.
Killswitches should only be used if something is a demonstrable problem, BHVR was calmly observing if their stats would prove Survivors would be getting any advantage from this. But the community would not have any of that, they felt hurt that someone might could have gotten an advantage and they would not stand for that.
What this means is, that every time in the future if something is bugged even if it is benign the whole feature must be Killswitched because of the ghosts of advantage is plaguing the minds of the users, which means every feature is probably deadlocked at release.
Though I dont hope BHVR will meaningfully change the Killswitch Process to cater to unproven advantages, that would be absurd and destroy the game instantly. All major Killers have a bug or two that could give an advantage in some situations, like Dracula its possible for a Survivor to get hit twice by the fire attack if the connection is bad. It happens very rarely, but nono killswitch it now.
What I do hope they do is that they allow their community managers to be more clear about the specific Killrates/ Winrates and Pickrates on a given problem, it would be great for me, because I respond well to stats. Other people might not, people might still be frustrated about problems that isn't happening. Which is somehow desperately close to real life politics.
The message to BHVR should be clear, tell us clearly if a bugged perk is performing too well on diffrent mmr levels, as that should be a clear indication that it should be killswitched.
This is exactly what I was thinking but expressed better than I could have.

Thanks for coming back to confirm that! You're right on the money - the team has received an increased volume of tickets, so there have been some delays in responses. They are working through responses, though!
Would it be too late submitting a ticket?
-
I guess they see more fit 10+ min queue time or having the Killer player play a match of Survivor for priority queue.
-
At PTB it had a 3% usage and likely still have a 3% usage. More people are defending it than used it.
Better to throw reversions to Streetwise and Overwhelming Presence since it's all the same.
-
More Bloodweb junk.
-
Now for something new to obsess about.
-
They have killswitched Survivor things. Flashlights and Perks that could farm you Flashlights were killswitched because people could clip into Lockers.
-
We could ask about those other bugs that affect worse but then they would just send us into making a ticket and we look at Pending Review.
-
The pitchforks are out. Poor Jocelyn trying to offer some communication. 🥺
-
It's like you have to hit every Skillcheck perfectly on hook or else the game thinks you're going next. I missed one during the last few seconds because sometimes I'm bad at Skillchecks. Got hit with a penalty.
-
I don't know if people are trying to allude that only Killer things get killswitched when Flashlights were killswitched for clipping into Lockers. I don't think there is bias to killswitch.
-
Remember that time Merciless Storm was deleting Generator progress? It seems like the equivalent in terms of meeting the requirement.
