As a survivor I like to not loop and use jungle gyms and LoS to evade killers. Its incredibly fun to learn. I love that horrified moment when the killer learns your tricks and realizes you can loop.
Also I only find items in the game and decide my role.

Still need Bikini Jane D: and Bunny Feng

Yeah, it can be so i play other survivors too. I rotate them every match. Like;Feng, Feng, Kate, Feng, Feng, Jane, Feng, Nea, Feng, Feng, FENG, Claudette, Feng, Laurie, Feng, Feng and Laurie.
I'm either always Feng or use Jane, Kate, Jeff, or Jake depending on my mood.
As for killer lately I've been playing a ton of plague.

Are u high? My point is exactly that the grind is too severe. Why would u want to reduce bloodpoint offerings? Survivors average 10k or less a game. Top tier survivors average 20k a game base score but really what percent of the entire community is at that average? There are simply too many playable characters between both sides to be able to get any significant progress between updates. I have earned a career total of over 300 million bloodpoints and i dont have even close to all P3 characters with decent perks. Imagine how overwhelming the grind is to someone who just started? People dont want to play 3-5 survivor rounds to go through one level 50 bloodweb.
Alright did you read my post? Like really read it? You seem to either miss my point or skimmed it so re read it first.

Leatherface used to be at the top of the list of killers I hate playing against, now Spirit is at the top. She has the ultimate mind game strategies and her only flaw is that she's a bit slow. Her passive phasing add-ons makes her even more confusing. Idk, all I go against are majority Spirits and I'm just getting tired of it.
One side of me wants a phasing start-up animation from the survivor perspective to know when she's using her power but I know DBD players will probably hate that to even the playing field.
Any good, respectful tips?
Spirit when phasing will shimmer and sparkle. I tried getting a good picture its sadly not, but I'll attach it below.
Her hair when she starts the phase animation reverts back to the start of it's animation. It does appear in the picture.
@S_Panda has gotten some good timestamps and I would suggest looking into them. They took the time to get these to help people.

It should not affect anyone who doesn't tunnel in the first place. I've maybe been hit by DS 3 times since the rework and most of that was because of the Jane perk Head On creating that annoying locker meta while needing to locate the last survivor.

Oh yeah thats why my other class has thrilling tremors and surge and pop all 3 combo well together. Tremors plus surge for extra gen regression + the 8% then pop the gen that isnt blocked.

Well, thank you first of all for being more level headed now.
You are correct. Most people that use NoED will not ask themselves those questions. The difference is some WILL. I always ask myself those questions with a bad game, and I do not even take the game as a competitive game. Yes, I main Legion and manage to do well with him, with a build that I put together and works with my playstyle. Alot of the lower tier Killers need alot of help.
I agree that you get more pips and such with a proactive game, but alot of the times... like if you don't have much gen slowdown for example... you CAN'T have a proactive game. Even as well as I do at times, some times 2-3 gens pop before I can down someone. Map was too big for a lower tier Killer to cover or some such. IN that moment, I could see the reason some people feel NOED might be needed. Some games you feel powerless as Killer, and that's not fun at all.
As you said, Survivors have very reliable second chance perks. While the only one Killers have is very unreliable, as you yourself said. Don't you think that is a problem?
Yes, take your time to make a thread about the survivor second chance perks and I'll give you feedback there. Also I am happy you read my thread. I hope to see some ideas from you there, just please keep the "Rush Down" playstyle if you come up with a rework or something.
Yep no problem as long as I'm not being point blank told I'm wrong with no real good evidence I'm pretty reasonable. I actually would prefer balancing issues taken care of so we have variety.
The few that honestly will are usually the ones who will start to realize that NoeD has been holding them back, but it also creates the same issue that Ruin does. A lot of people cant shake it because they have relied on it way to long.
Have you tried Pig by any chance? The one thing she does is teach you to end chases asap. It could help you out for those scenarios that you mentioned.
I would write a topic on second chance perks, but honestly I dont use them nor care enough to make a thread for much of anything. I wanted to do a pig idea like yours, but figured against it. I could do second chance perks, but rarely if ever do I get bothered by them.

Against really good teams i don't get a use out of ruin. But most times there's one potato that can't hit ruin skillchecks so it's worth it after all. Teams that hit greats without problems, you can't win against em with non viable killers.
I promise you can do it man with practice, experience, and time, but it is not a easy feat. How long it might take you might be 2 weeks or 3 years, but if you keep trying you can eventually.
I dropped Ruin for several reasons build variation was the biggest. Though the fact ruin is not useful against the survivors I wanted it against was another big factor. So my thought process was "if ruin is useless against who I want it against what's next?"

Forgive me if I take what you say with a grain of salt. You seem to have some survivor bias there.
You try and trigger people, then laugh when it works. I've seen you do this a few times. How about we stick to facts and not try and annoy the people we are talking about to "win."
Alot of perks are used by "bad players" alot of people on survivor side use DS, DH, or Adren to make up for there own mistakes. Kinda like "Opps, I mess up that loop, DH!" or "Oh I got downed again, I hope he picks me up so I can DS him." or "I'll hop in this locker cause I have DS and it will waste his time, or he has to leave and let me work on the gen here." things like that. You can not just say that "Oh you use this perk so you are bad." That is not how a perk system works. To tell someone not to use a perk cause of your own judgement is wrong. You also can't say "At least the team did something" in response to a Killer perk, like your argument for Adren, because the Killer is ALONE. He doesn't have a team to carry him, he just has to do it on his own.
Before you say anything, I don't use NoED. But your arguments are biased, even if you say they are not. Why? Cause no human can ever really be non-biased. NoED in my opinion isn't to "Secure a kill" to "Feel better" it's to be stronger in the EGC and be a threat during that time. It makes sense lorewise.
Alright ignoring all the fluff and stuff.
I usually only ever see NoeD used by low to medium skill players in every rank from rank 20 to rank 1. Problem I feel is why would you actually improve when you can fall back on NoeD? It's not a reward for reaching the EGC (lorewise it's great, but it predates EGC). You main Legion, but despite his nerfs you continue play him and from what I gather have good success with him. Just like I do with Pig despite them being "weaker". I'm aware you dont use NoeD based on our previous interactions.
I feel killers in general have a better chance at pipping and getting a 4k with a proactive approach to the game with perks that reward them for downing and hooking survivors. Perks that you fall back on like Bitter Murmur for example rewards you as a killer for losing an objective. These perks in general are considered bad because of the fact they help you afterwards not before.
NoeD imho is the Killer variation of a second chance perk sort of, but unlike survivor second chance perk is extremely unreliable. With the increase to Totem Blood Points, Increase in Small Game, and Inner Strength is becoming even weaker then usual.
In reality when you use NoeD you wont learn to ask yourself these questions "what did I do wrong? Did I chase to long? What did I mess up on? Not protect the gens enough? Did I tunnel? Did I camp? ETC" You've effectively just 4k the game and that's it.
So all in all when I say NoeD is a good perk used by bad killers I'm being quite honest. Normally the killers who use it never would of gotten even a 1k without it.
As for survivors second chance perk we can debate that, but that could take some serious time. So if you want I will reply to them if you want. I have read your Legion thread btw I just haven't got around to posting my thoughts.

Thats almost exactly one of the two builds i use. I just wish brutal destroyed pallets faster like yeah it still helps and dont get me wrong I use it on him alot but it mostly helps for gens bc how much it speeds up pallet breaking is miniscule and pathetic really :(
Will you still be using moniter with Myers once tier 1 becomes undetectable? Still will go well with infectious but at that point might as well use the dead rabbit addon im conflicted.
I didnt even notice honestly I just posted my build since I did the other day too someone else.
I'm not sure if I will continue to run Monitor and Abuse honestly I liked it for several reasons, but with the changes outside of getting it on specific maps I'll probably consider changing it to another perk. I might change it to Thrilling Tremors honestly, but if I do that I might drop brutal in favor of Surge.
Thrilling Tremors plus Surge has 8% regression plus an additional 16 seconds of regression with the ability to use PGTW on necessary gens that a survivor could be working on across the map.

But not against top tier survivors. Usually in such rounds arr one or two weaklings.
I haven't used BBQ&C or Ruin outside of farming in matches for well over a year honestly. When I farm I use those both because it means I can make the game take longer aka more BP.
On PC I play exclusively killer at red ranks except on rank reset. I'm sure at some point I have dealt with sweaty SWF or survivors in general. They just dont matter enough for me to care.
On PS4 I play killer at any rank and am not nearly as try hard. I mostly enjoy survivor on PS4 since almost all my friends play PS4 version of DBD.
Top tier or low tier survivors I have put my time in on learning without those 2 perks. Yes I failed a lot of the time at the start, but I decided I personally didnt want to be limited in my builds. So over the course of time I realized both of these perks created bad habits as a killer. Realizing this I basically started from scratch and relearned killer.
As long as you dont Tilt easily playing without Ruin is honestly very easy. If you Tilt easy and get annoyed over petty stuff. Then honestly its possible, but Ruin might be a better alternative. Nowadays if I use Ruin it feels borderline abusive because it turns it pretty easy.
-
@johnmwarner said:
What do you guys use for slowdown?
Ruin can be strong IF it lasts even a few minutes, and when it gets a really great spot it can dominate a game.
Corrupt Intervention is a guaranteed slowdown on a few gens, can help you spot the survivors earlier by limiting where they can be.
Both together seems strong, but if survivors look for Ruin on the side of the map with blocked gens you will never find them so they do kind of counteract in a way.
Dont run Ruin and Corrupt Intervention together. While incredibly strong when it works CI will make them travel increasing the chance of Ruin being spotted. Ruin will make them look around for ot effectively wasting time and CI.
Both are incredibly strong just not together the chance of 2 wasted perk slots is incredibly high.

The game isn't over because 5 gens were completed. The game ends when you escape. Five gens complete are the same as one gen complete if you can not get the gate opened and make it out.
NOED doesn't reward anyone with anything. Survivors don't magically die because it's in play.
You do realize there is a perk that allows survivors to play exposed all match right? People escape.
NOED can be prevented from firing at all before the end game and easily cleansed if it does.
Adrenaline requires no effort at all. The gens complete and it fires regardless of whether you did a single thing all match, regardless of whether you are on the ground or injured.
You have no facts, only very biased rhetoric.
Lol.
Ya I know how the game works man you dont have to tell me lol. Funny how some people get so triggered when you actively say NoeD is used by Bad killers and suddenly it's up in arms by a few super defensive players. Then justify how you can't play the game because they can't.
All on saying is why use a perk that is actually commonly used by bad players because of there shortcomings. It rewards failure on the killers part to prevent the objective from being completed. Unlike some perks which are far more powerful which requires a killer to actually be good enough in the match to get downs and hooks.
Adrenaline is better then NoeD will ever be and honestly at least that rewards the team for successfully doing well or EGC starts and you get yet another free chance as a survivor. Your right that survivor may of done nothing, but the team probably did.
It is a fact nor biased rhetoric btw lmao. I dont use NoeD because I never needed it to hopefully secure a kill i didn't deserve to make me fill better. If I didnt play well as a killer or as a survivor I dont need a perk to make up for that.
-
Honestly I think we should reduce BP offerings to
25%, 50%, 75%, 100% specifically for all categories for you and then the same for everyone on both sides. We have enough of a grind to play that we should have it simple like this.

Not at all.
Killers is easily playable without ruin. How well you can do is down to your own personal skill and knowledge and for strong players it becomes all too easy much like with some survivor perks.
It's why many perks are seen as a crutches as they raise people's expectations and without them they can't do half as well.
A perk is never needed and when it starts to become that way I personally want to remove it from my build as I feel it makes me a worse player overall.
That's why I cycle perks a lot. I do enjoy specific builds for each killer though.

There really is no winning without it unless the survivors are wasting time. You find 1 guy on a gen and hit him once if you are lucky. Now to actually down him you'll be forced to chase him through 8+ pallets while the others are popping gens.
If you give up the chase to pressure gens then the cycle just repeats. You hit someone once and then have to chase them. Meanwhile 1st guy is off hook and healed if you were even fortunate enough to catch him.
How do you win as a killer against smart survivors? It really seems you can't unless they make a series of mistakes that let you win.
The things you need to learn without ruin vs with ruin are different. If you truely wish to play without ruin I would suggest looking into Corrupt Intervention and Pop Goes the Weasel. The difference between having Ruin and Not having Ruin is noticable, but once you learn to play without it you'll become a unstoppable monsters that steam rolls.
Time Investment is the biggest difference and learning when to proceed and when to disengage will be critical to success.

seriously it takes alot of mental fortitude to not dc as a survivor on hawking. any anti looping killer aka clown doc spirit etc makes life miserable on that map just due to bloodlust/their abilities. its unfun and its skilless. sure balanced landing can be decent on there but eventually they WILL get you. looping/mind gaming isnt skill anymore with these layouts. its just hold W as a killer and stack bloodlust.
TLDR: Balanced maps are hard to Abuse with Survivors anymore please nerf these.
Balanced maps means that other killers can and will become viable. Hawkins is actually simple to understand the safer more secure loops are inside the map not on the outer areas. Risk = Reward now. The loops are different as well so you can't create inf loops either.
By making all maps balanced what they can do is start to give killers the nerfs needed and buffs needed for QoL changes and remove bloodlust in the future.
-
I like running this build
- Brutal Strength
- Pop Goes the Weasel or Corrupt Intervention
- Infectious Fright
- Monitor and Abuse
This build compliments my style of play of being aggressive as possible and maintaining pressure. I can kick pallets faster and break gens faster due to Brutal Strength which triggers PGTW faster or helps me in chases when I have Evil Within 3 up.
Monitor let's me get out of that crucial Evil Within 1 very easily whe allowing me to get gen pulls and sneak up on people who are not paying attention.
Pop or Corrupt give me the necessary time to set up my early game with little worries. Ruin is also acceptable I'm just not a huge fan of it and have stepped away from using that perk.
Infectious Fright let's me chain downs in Evil Within 3 and find new people quickly downing multiple people if luck if in my side. It's also a nice situation awareness perk that works well with Myers.

Lol. Your disconnect from objective reality is so great as to be comedic to read. Instead of debating it I think everyone should just have a good laugh.
The best part is you really believe it. It isn't just a meme for you.
It's because it's TRUE not that I'm disconnected. It's a good perk used by bad player's. You dont see a good player go "if only I had NoeD I would of gotten the 4k" they make it happen. You can say whatever you want, but the facts are there. It's like why BBQ is significantly better than Bitter Murmer other then the BP gains. BBQ&C rewards your success and Bitter Murmur rewards your failure to be proactive. Same with Devour Hope vs NoeD.
It rewards failure and nothing more. It's like the EGC hatch escape. It rewards the survivors failure not there success.

Fair enough, every hatch escape via key is a loss, every escape due to adrenaline/ds is a loss, every escape due to blind is a loss.
NOED is just a second chance perk. I have won many games without it. My adept killer achievements verify this. But I'd still rather have it in my back pocket in case I mess up. Just like I'm sure survivors like have their "oops i screwed up" perks.
But the thread is about Ruin and BBQ so I'm going to leave it alone now.
TL;DR = NOED is just a second chance perk.
Actually yes they are a loss. Except the Key. The Key is BS and shouldn't be able to be found in the trial without plunders. That is nothing as a killer you can control unless they bring it in.
All my adepts speak for themselves as well not sure why you brought this up honestly. I still don't use NoeD personally. I find it a weak perk that honestly rewards failure. I prefer a proactive approach to the game and being rewarded for me doing well.
Also I'm not saying you suck for using it. It's not my intention to call you out for using it. I was just stating that the 8 perks you said were amazing are not exactly so and to help you provide better info.

Adrenaline and DS are just as bad as NOED. A second chance perk.
NoeD rewards failure
Adrenaline rewards success
DS rewards failure, but punishes tunneling.
If someone wanted to say they did good they would run Devour Hope which Rewards success. If someone actually thinks they did good when they use NoeD and used it to secure a 4k because they couldn't do it before that gen. Then honestly they lost.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/773275#Comment_773275
Please don't take offense to this because it's not directed at you (there are lots of players who think like you do about NOED.) But it's just a second chance perk. Are survivors who run Self Care, Decisive Strike, Unbreakable, or Adrenaline bad survivors?
All of those perks exist for the same reason to undo mistakes. Calling killers bad for running NOED is unfair unless you judge everyone for using mistake eraser perks.
No, but I don't think NoeD is a second chance perk all it does is reward bad killers. How many good killers do you see run it or need it? I've seen killers literally go from no hooks to a 4k. They wont pip they wont learn.
Anyways I love how you literally only defended NoeD. When I stated how many of the perks you listed were actually bad. Seriously look into additional perks and try them out.
DS isn't really a second chance perk it's more of a you tunneled me here's your punishment. Unbreakable is also not a second chance perk. It's just a killer found something else to do so you can run off sonce you were not hooked. Self Care is mostly been phased out of survivors builds since healing takes too much time. Easier to do a gen and find a teammate later or use that Adrenaline.
Adrenaline is definitely a second chance as is Deliverance. Killers dont really get second chance perks. Closest I would think of would be Spirit Fury and Enduring. Unlike survivors most killers have to earn perks through actions of playing the game.

If there were better perks ppl would use them there are like 8 TRULY great perks for killers.
RUIN
BBQ & CHILI
NOED
SLOPPY BUTCHER
NURSE'S CALLING
POP GOES THE WEASEL
THANATAPHOBIA
BLOOD WARDEN
The rest are either great (but only when combined with an above perk), situational, or just worthless.
I'd like to see the worthless and situational perks get buffs.
I would suggest you try other perks man your missing so many good ones. Of the listed perks you provided 3 of those are only good in low ranks because people still dont heal much in upper ranks in my experience. Blood Warden is easily countered by 99% the gate wait for a hook and then open it. NoeD imho is rarely seen more like a rare treat. Also it's a great perk used primarily by bad killers.
PGTW and Ruin. Are the strongest 2 perks you listed. Though BBQ is incredibly good for farming Blood Points any good killer will know Rotation and Pathing of survivors so outside of Nurse, Billy, Spirit, Huntress, Freddy no other killer should use it outside farming BP'S.
In all instances of perks Thrilling Tremors far outclasses BBQ in providing Gen denial, Where Survivors you actually care about are, Where you need to go immediately, and helps stop the game from progressing for 16 seconds while you are attempting to hook people. BBQ&C tells you X amount of people are at x locations and you get a stack.

I agree.
DS needs changed that if you are slugged, the timer doesn't go down.
However, if you are healed to full health, DS should deactivate.
I wouldn't mind the removal of the timer as a killer provided these changes are added to it.
- DS has a infinite time limit.
- DS actives on both unhooks even if used prior. Failure to hit the skill check will deactivate the perk for the remainder of the trail. Skill check is bigger by about 5% to accommodate this risk
- DS deactivates until your next unhook whenever another survivor becomes hooked and or unhooked.
- Only one DS will be active at a time.
- If your the last survivor in the trial DS automatically becomes deactivated.
- DS has priority meaning no actions by the killer, so if downed at the unhook you will be able to use DS regardless.
- Killer who is hit by DS will have the stun penalty increased by 1.5 second for every DS successfully used on them in the trial. (Max of a 10 second stun on the 4th DS strike successfully used.)
This way I feel DS becomes a true anti tunneling perk. People who dont tunnel wont be affected by it and those who are toxic can't abuse the time limit and force a DS out of someone. Wont encourage the slugging tactic either.

Thrilling Tremors and Corrupt Intervention. Your welcome.
Seriously most people use BBQ&C because of the BP gain. The aura part is honestly an added bonus to it.
Ruin honestly ruin falls into two camps. People who have used it so long they can no longer play without it. The ones without are either experimenting without or builds, haven't got it, or no longer need it.
Logically if someone has perks you know about it is easier to adjust how you play.

Idk what are u talking about Billy is by fair the most balanced killer (from a survivor main pov) and yeah the hitbox of the chainsaw is quite unfair I admitted but besides that is very fun to go against
By balanced you mean boring and pathetic right? I have more fun against Spirits and God Nurses then I have ever enjoyed a game with Billy.

The build I want to ideally use is from Fungoose. He plays her incredibly well and got me interested in her and Leatherface.
Corrupt Intervention, Pop Goes the Weasel, Discordance, and Infectious Fright.
I like Rubbing Oil and Incensed Ointment.
Charge Speed, Movement while charging, and cooldown.

I’ve played Plague extensively since launch, and I cannot stress enough the importance of:
- getting every survivor infected asap. If you come across excellent loopers and LoS blockers, so that you’re unable to directly hit them with VP, puke on vaults and pallets mid chase, and try to force a vault or pallet drop before dropping the chase to find others.
- While survivors are healthy (not infected) puke on gens. Do it.
- Don’t attempt to mind game or do long loops. Just get the survivors broken, create pallet dead zones, and whittle the survivors patience down. Eventually you’ll get your easy one hit downs around the vicinity of gens.
- It’s normally better to allow survivors to passively become sick rather than puke them relentlessly (unless they’re out in the open and terrible at weaving back and forth)
- Infectious Fright is pretty much essential for punishing groups that don’t cleanse. Never ignore a notification, especially when everyone is broken. Because of the coughing, vomiting, and green gas trail, it’s ridiculously easy to track a survivor after the initial notification. And usually those survivors aren’t prepared for a quick escape. They were hoping for a flashlight save or to follow you to a hook. You can very quickly slug all 4 of an over altruistic group.
- Only ever activate any Corrupt Purge if a chase happens to take you relatively close to a fountain. Or to be dirty and camp the hook.
I still find it funny I get her power trophy before her adept one lmao.

During one of the streams the developers articulated that if survivors knew who the killer was, they could better prepare for their perks or simply dodge the lobby altogether. They said the same logic could be applied if survivors knew the username of the killer because they could avoid killers that are particularly good.
I'm genuinely curious why this doesn't become an issue in reverse? Killers knowing you have an item sometimes results in lobby dodging or bringing Franklin's demise, fine. Likewise, some Killers don't like going against certain Survivor characters or certain teams but they have the freedom to see that information in advance and decide if they want to stay in the match. Why are survivors denied that same flexibility? In both cases, there's the potential for toxicity. I'm in red rank on PS4 and I always run into the same killers and there are some killers that will specifically Lobby Dodge and then there are some that will specifically tunnel you the entire time and face camp you. Knowing who you are (username) in advance is very problematic and I don't understand why Killers can still see our usernames as survivors.
EDIT: to clarify that I'm referring to the username, not the character that's being used.
The lobby in all retrospect is for the killer not the survivors. It let's the killer judge the survivors and tweak the load out in response to the incoming survivors they will have to deal with.

Why am I seeing so many Plague posts today?? Has something changed that I'm not aware of?
No idea on others, but I am enjoying her as I attempt to get her adept. So wanted to know her better.

Well I prestiged Huntress due to the majority vote. I thank you everyone for your time and comments.

she really no need a skill
just stay still for she mindgame the survivor LOL
this is not a skill os devs, and the player just need a ear do play with her
THIS IS NOT A SKILLLLLLLLLL
You mean you got dominated by a Spirit because you didn't bother to learn her very specific counterplays. So instead of blaming your lack of skill you instead blame the Killer because they clearly have the advantage by having a semi descent hearing.
Instead of demanding nerfs which will start resulting in viable killers being nerfed off why not ask for buffs to other killers so you see less Spirit?
Having a game of nerfed and weak killers will result in its death.

Thanathophobia, corrupt intervention, dying light and ruin if you wanna force them to cleanse.
Strong build, but not something I would enjoy running because I know how I was feel as a survivor.
