The bots behave even worse than in normal mode. They barely touch gens (which is something they usually do in normal mode), they always prioritize unhooks and healings instead of finishing gens that are at 95% and they cancel their action whenever they're in a terror radius.
I don't mind them not being world class at looping, because this is probably hard to program right, but they should at least focus gens and not just running headlessly through the map.
Besides that, lobby times for killer haven't changed at all (17 minutes, EU)
This. To top it off the bots are failing gen skill checks for absolutely no reason when they join you on a gen.
-
I think the base kit unbreakable for 1 slugged survivor when their are only 2 survivors left alive is a solution but only activates after the survivor has already been healed from the dying state 1 time
-
I have noticed this too. My main frustration is the locker prioritising near a pallet, even when the locker isn't in camera view and I accidentally end up giving the killer a free pull out

I love putting them on my hooks, but I never wear them whilst playing survivor as I think they look so clunky / ugly and they sometimes hang in awkward looking places. I had a funny experience recently where a TTV / well known DBD streamer killed me and let somebody else live because they had on a pride charm and I didn’t. It’s funny because I am actually gay but don’t use the pride charms as I love using the Alan Wake ones.
I always find it a little strange when players decide to spare or target others because they are playing a specific character or using charms

Honestly? It might sound dumb, but I'd really hope for a massive swarm of killer bees. Could be called The Swarm of The Hive.
It's kind of a requirement just so we get Nic reacting like this

I like the way a lot of you guys have themed your charms to your characters, but don't you agree there could be a better way of displaying them?
If so, has anyone else got ideas for how to go about it?
Some of them don't look too bad but overall the placement and size just doesn't look good in my opinion.

Wow I am always amazed how much thought and calculations are put in to play by players such as yourself

Recently I have been soloq and firstly there has been minimal issues with slugging or tunneling. But I have noticed that literally no one will do gens. My last match I did 4 gens on my own while the other 3 survivors were doing who knows what. What makes it confusing is they all had tool boxes, possibly try to sabo the hooks? But every match is the same tonight, if I don't do gens then killer ends up 4k at 5gen because no one will touch gens. Why can't I get matches like this as killer lol instead I get swf constantly that not only do gens but they do them pretty efficiently.
I have tried getting some sort of explanation for this and all I have been told is "gens are boring". Fair enough it's not exactly thrilling gameplay sitting on a gen but that's the objective of the survivor so if people refuse to do them then is there any wonder why so many killers are steamrolling soloq? The only thing that survivors seems to want to do is get chased (but not twice in a row because that's tunneling).
Maybe make gens more challenging somehow so people wouldn't be so bored they refuse to do them? Maybe more soloq would end up escaping. I was thinking maybe making gen times shorter but when swf smash the gens they go fast enough as it is. Is this a common thing for people to avoid gens in soloq or is it just my matches?
I think the whole argument for not doing gens because it's 'boring' is a bit of a scapegoat. I think it's more likely these players don't want to do gens because you can often be at a disadvantageous location depending on the gen - they'd rather have the jump on the killer than the other way around. I could be wrong though
-
I think it'd be funny if they swapped survivor and killer skins over officially for the one day. A Dwight killing an Oni etc
-
I'll keep my reservations about 2v8 bots until I've played with them, however, the bot replacements on 1v4 are a mess more often than not.
-
They look great but much better on hooks where they are bigger

I use only Warrior Puppers and Pocket Entity. Pocket Entity is the perfect size for a survivor, it's just like a tamagotchi
@Dwight_Fairfield said:
I use the Puppers charm and the two Dwight ones.
I too put on the Warrior Puppers charm as killer or on the rare chance I do decide to equip a survivor charm
-
@solarjin1 That's a nice idea to let your teammates know what you are running but I doubt anyone would notice enough to piece it together

I put the PUBG frying pan on all my Survivors just in case it blocks a hit one day.
That would be amazing if a Huntress hatchet ricocheted off the pan 😆 unfortunately that would require much much more precise hitboxes

*inserts comment about Nea being the Entity

Let's have a Tyrannosaurus Rex

I find my escape rate as a solo player way better than when I play with my friends because they are not that experienced as well as just simply not very good at the game and some of the randoms I've had have been way better than me
-
I just want them to bring back the ability to cycle through characters using the joystick buttons (LS & RS/L3 & R3) . I don't understand why it was removed
-
Just yesterday I had a Wraith hump me (walk back and forth) when he finally downed me after all gens were completed, tried taking me to basement but I wiggled off and I got hatch as it just spawned just above in main building 😁
-
I feel much more lucky on Chaos Shuffle this time around. Tend to get some value out of most of the perks the game has bestowed upon me
-
I haven't found the wait times too bad on Chaos Shuffle so far and I haven't played normal mode during it's availability
-
Bots have wall hacks anyway so no surprise that they know of traps
-
I'm guilty of offering a coin incase the randomiser decides to give me chest/item perks but I haven't been bringing in items
-
Well DBD is definitely lobby simulator when comparing stats with platform stats

I got mine, and something seems off with my stats. It says that my most played survivor is Claudette, even though I have been mostly playing as Nea last year, because I've collected over 200 anniversary cakes for her, and I'm leveling her to be my first P100 character
How long/how many years have you been playing DBD?
If previous years of gameplay are included then I feel like many players supposed most played characters of 2024 are going to be incorrect. Interestingly, the hous, hooks and escapes definitely aren't counting prior to the year.

@GentlemanFridge said:
I'm suspecting the most played characters are across your entire career. Not sure about the rest, I haven't gotten mine yet.
Seems most likely as I did main Ace in the early years (not realising how much chest focused play was throwing)

Oh fingers crossed you receive it soon. Remember to check junk folder too.
I saw Paulie Esther had his before I did so different regions may be sent out at different times perhaps?

My PS recap said I played 218 hours of DBD, the DBD recap email said I played 24.93. I think it only included regular 1v4 mode because I played a little of that before the anniversary and since then have only played event modes. I played mainly survivor during the events because I want the faster queue so it's not like I played 25 hours in matches and spent just under 200 hours sitting in lobbies waiting.
That's a good point - I haven't compared the hours with the PS recap.
Quite a drastic difference in your hours for sure.
Strange that they haven't been more specific what with all the different events we've had.
Did your most chosen survivor or killer look right?

Im guessing you need to be on the Newsletter to get this?
Yes you do indeed
-
Who knows - there's always a chance to see an alternative version of David (or another survivor) as a killer
-
I don't think I've heard the dungeons voiceline but that is a really interesting theory
-
My stats are going to be terrible but I'm intrigued nonetheless
-
We need the killer bots in custom first
-
Did the killer have Lightborn because you still get stun but no blind I believe
-
I tried it with and without sprint burst but it didn't seem to make a difference. Just randomly popped eventually
-
I wish they would stop doing these quick and extremely limited codes.
I use mobile Discord app but to a very limited extent.

Nice work guys 🙂

There's a sound effect for this? That's a nice little touch

Are you on comms with your SWF when you do that? I can imagine the things they yell at you.
Edit:
I did scare a Feng Min on accident in SoloQ once. We were facing a Freddy with the add-on to start everyone in the Dream World. I came running into the Killer Shack at Ormond in this...
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/IDG2UOAJ2BQV/screenshot-20241216-095617-chrome.jpg
She blew up the gen and repeatedly pointed at me and crouch spammed. I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe 🤣
Normally on comms I can hear their audible shock 😆
I think Feng must have a nervous disposition 😂 to be fair though, the Hatter Ace is pretty sinister.
-
Yeah, and even weird moments where a vault action is completely cancelled out

How often does your SWF face Myers? They probably see you first, panic, then assume Myers is you again for a second 🤣
The Jeff's that wear that always come running up to me on a dark map.
it's so scary and I probably cost the whole team the game when I accidentally blow up the gen thinking Myers is approaching 😳
We face him enough (likely low MMR) but even when it isn't a Myers they often completely forget so are still susceptible to being jump scared or freaked out 😆
Honestly, I haven't done it nearly enough yet. This post is inspiring me to try it more
-
😂 I bought this cosmetic just to scare my SWF
-
Always blocking you in chase when you haven't any snowballs 😟
-
I had to put in the Ormond offering to get it but straight away had the killer on me because of Lethal Pursuer so never had much of a chance to explore it until I loaded up a custom. Seems pretty rubbish for survivor, lots of dead areas and vaults with drop downs right next to them where only balanced landing will make them any use
-
Yeah, they just have a bit of snow on top

No, the Feral Frenzy killer instinct detection does not work on survivors in the dying state.
Thank you for confirming 😁
-
I don't think I like that the killer can see it
-
Killer Instinct is really unfriendly for newer players or players that don't know every aspect of certain killer powers. The Houndmaster killer instinct seems buggy (in a beneficial way to the killer) as I have had it reveal survivors in lockers even when the search should have ended
