What do you want them to fix? That is against the rules.

I want to know my reports are actually doing something because so far I'm pretty sure the current in game system doesn't work

I'm not going to sugarcoat it: this combination needs a nerf. Franklin's in and of itself is already such an unfun perk to play against, but Weave Attunement takes it 100 steps too far.

Please stop giving killers aura read for almost 0 effort. The aura range needs to be cut in half at least. It provides too much coverage at loops. Oblivious needs to go. Either that or have there be a cooldown on the perk. Better yet, make Weave Attunement only activate within the killer's terror radius AND have a cooldown.

This game is balanced around killers using addons and survivors using items. I would much rather play against 4 slowdown with an item of my choice over 2 slowdown and no item because of this awful combination. Too much information for free. Unnecessary status effect. Zero cooldown. Terrible design.

I only use this combo against flashlight squads. it's perfectly fine as is. Bring flashlights at your own peril.

But we do not even have the slightest chance.

It's so frustrating. But in the meantime we all agree that we should move on to another game.

You dont have the slightest chance? try being solo queue and i bet your opinion would change lol. compared to SWF chances of escape while playing solo are pretty slim.

I'm personally totally fine with Legion, but I hate seeing Pentimento on any killer.

It's a potentially very problematic perk, and I doubt the people who seem to think it's fine have faced a killer who utilises it properly. Camping a hook or a 3 gen with Pentimento around is absolutely insane. If I get a hook next to a cleansed totem, I can camp both and there's not really much they can do.

If the Killer just puts it up and leaves the totem alone, then it's not really the biggest issue since you can see where Hex totems are cleansed with the Loud Noise Notification and go back yourself. I try to stay super alert of Hex Totems getting cleansed especially once I see Plaything appear. This will shut down like 90% of Killers who use Pentimento since people don't really know how to use it properly.

Either way, 30% Repair Penalty is pretty agonising to face. I've been running a disgusting build with the new Obsession Hex perk and I had a player straight up DC because their generator repair speed was slower than Old Freddy for the entire game LMAO.

I don't know how you'd change it without making it useless, maybe make the rekindled totems emit a noise in a small radius around them to make them easier to find? And maybe temporarily disable the totem that's within a certain range of a hook, since that's the problematic aspect of the perk.

pentimento + Hex:Plaything is quite fun to use lol

  • Hopefully they are reworking judith's tombstone if they're cypress mori base kit again.

U didnt see Dracula because he is frustrating to play, a lot cooldowns and his power is to weak against experience survivors

  • @bornagain234 said:

This is the lowest ive ever seen on release.

Played 10 matches so far, havent seen a SINGLE dracula. This is the bad thing about updating other killers during a release. I have seen dredge, nemesis(3x), nurse (3x), doctor (2x) and a spirit.

I dont think you should be updating killers during a release, especially when its a clunky meh killer. If its someone like wesker you can update 10 other killers and everyone will still play him.

This is also why you cant ever again release a survivor achievement that is to X thing against Y killer like you did with vecna. I maintain 100% achievements and that was a nightmare. Now it would be damn near impossible, I havent seen a vecna in over 100 matches.

I would play him more but wolf form feels so slow i just usually use bat form and hellfire. Hellfire has a slow wind up too..

  • can we get rid of the game please? Everytime i get that map its against either a doctor, nurse or myers...

  • If the devs are going to make mori base kit again then tombstone needs to go

With the 70s hook stages, this gives more time for the anti camp to kick in. Sounds good on paper but in reality this negatively effects killers who arent camping and rewards survivors who greed gens over teammates.

70s hook stages seems like a change done with no hindsight of how it'll effect other game mechanics. Reassurance did not get a 10s nerf (its been overdue a nerf since its release xdd), anti camp indirectly buffed to effect killers who arent camping, no camaraderie adjustment, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it meant only to stop killers from face camping??? Survivors only wanted a mechanic to stop it at the time if I remember correctly.

    That's silly.

All those things you mentioned are in the game, and are DESIGNED that way. Is it fun? Nah, it's not. But that doesn't make that person a dickhead. Some people just have different playstyles. That's the issue with a game like DBD that has, in 8 years, never had a defined win condition.

In that scenario it's actually holding the game hostage so.....

  • @LordGlint said:

Saw this clip while scrolling and the comments section was divided. Thoughts?

    https://youtube.com/shorts/jOXjcVilvTg?si=igoQXgpD2tr00p6a

Depends on the situation tbh. If you start slugging at 5 gens while bringing Thanatophobia, Knock Out, etc and proceed to let everyone bleed out and not bother hooking them then yeah you're being a dickhead. Only that specific scenario is it most definitely toxic

  • @Prometheus1092 said:

Its happening almost every other game, took 25min to find the last 2 survivors because they refused to do gens and hid the whole time. After 25min looked like they got bored and started doing a gen so I found them. And people have the cheek to complain about 4min slugging? Really? Sorry but no sympathy from me, the last 2 survivors of that match was slugged while I watched them crawl around. That's the treatment people can expect from me, I'm sure others disagree with it but I'm sure many others do. And yes they were reported because as per Devs explanation, actively avoiding the objective (gens) when the hatch is not available is holding game hostage and is reportable.

Against killer's like the doctor it's impossible to finish gens because you'll either be shocked into insanity constantly or slugged just so he can go find the last survivor. Really nothing for survivors to do but hide and hope that the other dies first to have a chance at the hatch. Or if you are going against killers who have an instant down/kill ability or add on(Tombstone Myers w/fragrant hair, Hillbilly Chainsaw, Leatherface). Really nothing can be done to counter that but hide tbh.

  • Not all solo queue players are like that and making generalizations about all of them is quite ridiculous. I solo queue solely because I only play either when I get off work or on my days off and I prefer to play alone tbh. Guess that makes me selfish and entitled huh? ๐Ÿ˜† If anything I find that most SWF teammates i run into are the most toxic when they are in a 3-stack and will sometimes go out of their way to get the solo queue player killed first.

No Thanks. That mode caused queue times to go up significantly and all people will play on 2v8 is trapper huntress or some other ridiculous combo that makes it impossible to get things done as a survivor.

There should not be a disconnect penalty for survivors. Bots take over. The game goes on. The bot might be more fun for the killer or more helpful to the survivors.

Also, serious question. Is it okay to let go on second hook? Usually I watch to see if someone is coming for the rescue. If not, I just let go. No one was coming.

Sometimes the killer player face/proxy camps and I get the unhook myself ability. I won't use it if the killer just stands in front of me and hits me on hook.

And if the killer player is afk or goofing around, I don't escape. I'm not raising my MMR for that. Usually, if the killer player is afk I just go stand next to the killer and wait.

Anybody ever been body blocked into a corner by a killer player?

    Don't waste my time, please.

I've been blocked into a corner by the huntress before. She also happened to have an iridescent hatchet just for me cause I looped her for like 4 gens. She tunneled me out of the game and called me trash. Like tilted much?

  • If a killer like leatherface is camping me I'm definitely gonna to kill myself on hook. Especially if I get hooked in the basement. Don't like it well to bad. Not gonna let myself be bait.

  • Any skull merchant and Knight I run into play as sweaty as possible whenever I play survivor so I despise both of them.

  • Usually the first survivor I find is quite good at looping me so I just make sure I get them out of the game as fast as possible. Running apot of slow down perks helps alot when I play doctor. Especially on maps like RPD Where surge is really handy

I think he means in game tho.

Buuuuut if we take this as a real fight, maybe Vecna, but not easily. Both have ways to one shot each other probably.

Vecna could just delete Dracula with a Wish Spell.

  • We'll have to wait and see I feel. But if we are talking about who would win in a fight between the two it's easily vecna

  • @VomitMommy said:

I don't believe there is that many killers going into the game with plan to tunnel first survivor.

Ugh. It would've been so sick too get those as skins. I loved the women who played fem pinhead. She really knows blew me away with herversion of pinhead.

I think a lot of people are sick of Huntress from playing against her every single match in 2v8. Did see a lot of people instantly dc when going against her in the normal mode at first but that seems to have settled down now.

I haven't played as her in months but there does seem to be a build where she can fire off hatchets extremely quickly with very little cool down. I think they recently changed a few of her add ons so probably one of them?

    The Huntress

    Basekit

Increased Hatchet count to 7 (was 5).

Decreased The Huntress' Hatchet wind up speed to 0.9 seconds (was 1).

This was the 7.6.0 update. They made this base kit for her and that's what is the issue. Like I said when I started this post I rarely complain about killers at all but this change feels completely uncalled for.

  • @SpitefulHateful said:

It depends on what is called camping. I've been called a camper for:

    • Patrolling the area around the hooked Leon to catch and down his bully buddies who sent me to the Eyrie of Crows map โ€” and also to get him to hit the death hook stage. Don't know why they expected me just to bug off to the another side of an extremely survivor-friendly map and kick pallets.
    • Downing survivors who basically followed me to the hook and tried to go for the save right under my nose. I guess it was my bad, didn't get the memo that the Killer is supposed to go stand in the corner and just let it happen.

I think camping (as in, actually staying very close to the hook and exploiting altruistic players) can be viable, but in very specific conditions (for instance, when playing against a very altruistic group or a SWF) and with certain perks/Killer abilities that allow to sneak up on Survivors and down them instantly, while denying them the ways of escape. In these cases, it's actually a strategy that implies good knowledge of the game, maps, and even survivor behavior patterns. It's admirable.

Thoughtless camping (as in slapping a survivor on a random hook and staying by without any plan) punishes the Killer first and foremost: if other survivors aren't overly altruistic, they take their time to do gens and, as a rule, they still have an opportunity to unhook and run. If the Killer can't put them in the dying state from one hit or prevent them from looping, they are left with nothing in the end.

I usually camp sandbaggers and strong loppers.

  • Depends really what type of build I'm playing on a killer and how much the survivor has looped me. Taking care of the strong looper first is usually something I always do.

i like going against nurse too. You don't have to trip about teammates using up the resources because all of the counterplay rely on your movement. At least she actually get punish for missing unlike over drive billy

I think the nurse is fine. She's not a killer just anyone can get value out of. Before my 3 year long break I played nurse alot and still do pretty decent with her. Same with the blight although a couple Add-ons might need slight tweaking but otherwise he's fine. If I go down to blight or nurse it's mostly my fault for not thinking ahead of time about my timing with pallets usually

  • I mean I think if multiple offerings are made the map offering that don't win out should be returned.

  • @TheSingleQuentinMain said:

I'm a killer main, so please don't interpret this as some angry survivors rant about how unfair that last bubba camp was. I'm trying to figure out, why do people do camp builds and such? I personally have never really bothered with it because I don't think it's fun to fight, or to do, and I realize some people just do it for the meme or to tick people off. However, I want to know if anyone actually finds it fun, and if so, do you want behavior to make it more viable or give killers new camping options?

    Edit:

I should have disclaimed this at the start, I'm trying to make a video essay on Camping and Tunneling, and I wanted to get different perspectives. Some people have misunderstood this as a passive aggressive jab at campers. Let me clarify, I like to fight camping. It creates a new situation where you have to make excellent teamwork with complete strangers in an effort to save the camped survivor. It kind of sucks being on the hook in that situation, but it's still cool IMO.

I only camp survivors who try to shake off my pursuit by running to their teammates. As someone who's been sandbagged by my fellow survivors before I Don't tolerate it when I play killer. Then I usually kill the swf team and let the solo survivor go. It cam be difficult to differentiate between who's solo vs playing with friends but usually I'm not wrong in my judgement and more often than not find that most swf teams sometimes all run bond.

  • I play survivor alot and I can tell you that this would just ruin the nurse. I really don't mind going against them seeing how hard it is to play her effectively

My apologies. I've been away from the forums for a year and I already forgot lol

  • Do you play survivor at all? I highly doubt you'd understand how absurd it feels to play against her. I can guarantee you that she's not balanced at all right now.

  • Basically this. She was given absolutely no downsides at all. Increases hatchet wind-up, increased speed while holding a readied up hatchet, AND is now able to hold 7 hatchets?! Plus with her beach ball sized hatchet hit boxes she almost never misses any shot...

  • This. Don't know why those specific killers are so sweaty like omg please go patrol gens or something other than tunneling down the poor Feng ming ffs
