I dont know,to me it seems more interesting to actually have legit opponents that steamroll againts ones that have no chance againts you, where is the fun in that exactly?
Again, the game is highly unbalanced when you face "legit opponents". You can still have interesting and close games, but you need a weak link.
Every match at high MMR consists of killers camping and tunneling to get more kills, including streamers, do you find that exciting?
-
Because this game is super unbalanced when it matches people of equal skill, and that isn't interesting content. Nobody wants to see Mr. Streamer having to camp and tunnel to get a single kill against SWF.
-
The map plays like garbage but I'm surprised no one mentions the performance issues on it. My PC is not a high tier one, but I can run games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Sekiro without any slutters and 60 FPS, but whenever I load into this ######### map not even on low I get rid of freezes.
-
Kobe imo shouldn't be a thing. It should be like PH's cages except if you have Slippery Meat or Deliverance.
-
He's honestly too hard for the reward he offers. Hitting that chain is as hard as hitting a Nurse blink (imo, don't know if it's different for others) and what he gets is a minor slowdown that can be crapped up not only by the enviroment but even himself. Not even mentioning sometimes you have to hit it 2 or 3 times to confirm a hit, so yeah I'd rather just play Nurse.

I love it on both ends tbh. It’s really not bad if you actually learn it.
Shelter Woods isn't also that bad, just learn how to loop deadzones.

Decisive Strike? Object of Obsession? Haddonfield? Cowshed? Instaheals?
Mettle of Man was nerfed because it was literally broken at release and made playing any killer without an instadown pointless. That's not even a discussion. Undying was also busted and deserved the nerf, but you could still just cleanse Undying and cleanse Ruin right after. There's nothing the killer could do against 4 MoM.
Also, MoM stayed the way it was for 2 months.
-
I agree with topics 2 and 3. I wish they messed up more with things like weapon cooldown, vaulting speed, terror radius and movement speed. The 110%/24m TR and 115%/32m TR formula got boring and now you have tons of killers that literally look redundant nowadays.
The only killer that I remember they messed with these things was Myers (faster vaulting speed and smaller TR) and it actually results on some fun builds with Monitor and Bambozlee, more killers should have different basic stats. Why not make Legion and Pig something like 117 or 118%? Or Trickster 112,5%? Or give Pig her 28m TR back so she has her synergy with Whispers again?
-
Go for passive slowdowns. Deadlock, Corrupt Intervention. If you don't like Ruin you can maybe go for Hex: Plaything as it servers as an indirect slowdown and it's more reliable than Ruin.
-
Those celebrating the Slinger nerf don't know what they are talking about. Nothing has changed what was annoying about him: you still can't react to a Slinger who pulls his gun and shoots instantly, he still can keep pressing M2 for free zoning and his TR is so subtle that with M&A you'll still probably be shot before you even notice him. What BHVR did was just make him more of a pain to play as, and probably to go against as well because now his gun is unreliable on further distance, so Slingers that actually went for long shots will probably now resort to zoning.
-
No, both are a pain to play as and against. He honestly deserves a third rework.
-
It has to be Hag, playing her I feel like playing a single player game instead of a multiplayer. You literally only care about your web and just slaps anyone that touches it, exciting gameplay.
Legion is a close second. I don't even know how people can like so much a killer whose power is running slightly faster for 10 seconds.
-
I love playing Nurse as well. I love how her movement feels, especially with range addons. You know that car wall on Gas Heaven that every killer has to spend 20 seconds going around it? Well, ######### it, I just teleport through it in 2 seconds.
Not even mentioning she doesn't lose games because survivors hold M1 too efficiently. It's skill vs skill on a Nurse game. If survivors are really better than me, they win; if not, I win. Probably the fairest killer in DBD.
-
As someone who doesn't run slowdown perks, sometimes the occasional Corrupt, base regression is worthless. The impact of kicking gens is next to worthless, to the point I don't even kick them anymore and still get the same results (good or bad). It's just a waste of time because survivors can just tao the gen to stop your regression for some reason, and even if you let a gen a full minute regressing (not probable), it still saves you only 15 seconds, while a single Pop saves you 20...
-
I agree it's something killers have to do, just like survivors also have to hold W instead of looping and doing gens instead of healing or doing totems. Both should be addressed imo, the game should be fun for everyone.

If killers were the ones with stretched res I bet they would argue that they need it and this forum would happily defend it.
Killers also use it. Just look at every Blight streamer out there. Still cheating.

not good AMAZING
only a few killers i can think it's not good on
nurse
doctor
plague
oni
Nurse because you shouldn't be getting stunned with pallets
doctor because people are going to pre drop pallets due to doctors ability to cancel the ability to drop pallets for 2.5 seconds after getting shocked
plague because it takes you out of your corrupt plague
oni is the same deal as plague it takes you out of blood fury
it's good on most killers though
Oni doesn't lose his power when he gets stunned. I think this only applies to Legion, Wraith, Plague and Ghostface.
-
I think it should be balanced around number of hooks. You can guarantee a 2k every match facecamping with Bubba and I don't think that's balanced. A 2k with 2 hooks is way different than one with 10 hooks.

Worse than green keys, lol? I never see those. Personally I don’t use em either.
Keys at least have good addons. Blood Amber + Built to Last is going to be really solid on the next patch.
-
I think the RE chapter was done super poorly. Nemesis doesn't even feel like Nemesis without some sort of running ability or weaponry, the zombies are super bland and annoying for both sides and his actual power is so lackluster that even Trickster is arguably better than him.
SH chapter was much better indeed. Pyramid Head is actually a scary chaser and the cages, although technically not in the games, fit super well his power.
I don't think the problem was the lack of horror because Stranger Things isn't even a horror franchise and I think everybody agrees the chapter was a success.
-
No, it's a placebo perk. It used to be near-decent when looping was actually a meta, now that everybody just pre-throws pallets you'll rarely get value out of it. Brutal Strength and Bambozlee are better chase perks.

Interesting… I have more positive experiences with flash lighting at a pallet than negative. They’re definitely not all winning plays, but they tend to help me. Especially if I’m not injured and run past them immediately after.
So I’m surprised to see the responses in here, confirming what I feared- flashlights are usually associated with bad players. Wow. My mind is actually blown rn. That kind of sucks too, that it has come to this. Too many influenced kids trying to be the next Ayrun.
‘I’ll start paying more attention to those who bring them and see if the stereotype is legit.
I guess most killers don't notice how you can still track the survivor through footsteps and groans of pain (without Iron Will), so it works most of the time. But yeah flashlights are definitely the worst item in the game right now and a lot of people that bring them are trying to be the next Ayrun like you said. As a solo player I always dread when I see some neon colouring survivor with a flashlight.

I've heard about that and i've also heard about sprint burst for distance
I think the main difference is the effort-reward ratio. 99ing Sprint Burst isn't that easy and you can easily waste it when not needed, unlike Dead Hard which is "Ounga bunga press E for safety". Kind of when people get triggered by dying to a Spirit but not to a Nurse even though the latter is stronger.
Edit: also Sprint Burst is most of the time used in the beginning of the chase, unlike Dead Hard which is used when the killer is about to get you, so it adds to the triggering factor.

Teammate with flashlight = thrower
Blinding at pallets is actually the worst thing you can do because you lose distance so yeah after the flashlights nerf bringing one is just for trolling
I love survivors who blind me at pallets. I use headphones so I can always track their footsteps. Always free hits.
-
I'm going to wait at least until the next chapter. Her perks will be (hopefully) nerfed anyway and her looks don't interest me, did we really need another pretty girl in her 20~30s? The fact she's a witch was the perfect opportunity to add the first old female survivor, but being young like that just makes her look like a tumblr edgy teen.
-
If he goes live like that he pretty much got the Billy treatment: still nearly as good, but too unfun to play as.

How can you say that?
Being able to heal yourself (and others faster) is one of the strongest things a Survivor can have access to. That's why Med-Kits (after the Key nerf) are indisputably the strongest item a Survivor can bring.
You either waste precious time trying to search for and destroy the totem or you lose the war of attrition.
Don't forget countering all killer aura perks and free Lucky Break for the entire team on half of the map with Shadow Step.
-
Or that could be a sign that these things are indeed a problem and the devs still haven't solved them.
-
That middle part is the most stupid area in the entire game. You can legit have infinites on it.

I'd imagine Hell would look like that.
-
Literally one of the worst things to have happened to this game. Games may be more "balanced" but the overall enjoyment on both sides is next to none. It removed the fun aspect of the game which was the casual part of it.
-
I really want to see the devs' data after SBMM was implemented. Basically every killer player that I know (streamers, friends and myself) had their kill rates drop by a ton. Games are also overall way less enjoyable, you either get full potatos who get slaughtered at 3~5 gens, or a SWAT team who 4 man out while you get 2~5 hooks.
-
Mediocre for solos, OP for SWFs, just like the majority of badly designed perks.
Also I don't like how hexes look like crap compared to boons. As killer, Undying or TOTH is a must if you want your hex lasting more than a minute, meanwhile survivors can have infinite heals at double speed on half of the map just equipping one or two perks out of 16. There's no risk on using boons, it's a win-win.
Also, ######### is Shadow Step? Do they really think having no scratch marks for half of the map is fair? It makes Lucky Break look like a joke in comparison.
-
I used to be a 50/50 player, but now I'm 100% a killer main. Solo queue is a waste of time, you sit on a longer queue only to get camped/tunneled to death or having 2 IQ teammates who sandbag you or are alergic to gens. The devs also don't care about it (just look how they tied a totem counter to a perk instead of making it basekit like everybody asked for, or how boon totems are mediocre for solos and OP for SWF), when was the last improvement solo survivors had?
When MMR was released solo was actually quite good, but idk why it became a shitshow again after 2~3 weeks.
At least with killer I get to chase people even if I lose, which is the fun part of the game. Unfortunately MMR also made killer 10 times worse because there's no interaction anymore, survivors just hold M1 and hold W the moment they hear the TR, so I'm borderline quitting the game.
-
He's a super fun killer and unlike 90% of the roster you can't lose because survivors hold W and M1 too efficiently, it's skill vs skill against Blight.
-
Get rid of the i-frames so it doesn't literally phase through hatchets, bear traps, shots, vomit, etc.
-
I don't blame you for farming but I find it boring. My gaming time is limited and I don't really need BP anymore at this point. If the killer decides to farm I'll just point to a hook and suicide on it, so no worries.
-
Solo queue is a waste of time and even the devs hate it, just look how they added a totem counter to a perk instead of making it basekit like everybody asked for. Find a Discord with some people and go SWF already.

Funny, how they usually are Billys that do that.
Yeah, I had just hooked the Claudette and he immediately went for the save.
-
DS and BT are a necessity because I'm not going into queue for 5 minutes to be eliminated in 3. The other two slots are the only ones I experiment with.
-
Just yesterday I had a Bill literally doing circles around the hook until the survivor went into struggle. Seriously, he wasn't looping or anything, he just stayed circling the hook waiting for me to hit him, but why would I?
-
He's very anti-solo queue unfortunately. Pretty fun to face if you SWF though.
I've found that holding the box helps a lot, if you position yourself correctly you can even push gens while the chains spawn.
-
I've been playing since Oni chapter and the stale is real. SBMM could have been the nail in the coffin on how bad my recent games were. I used to play 3~4 hours a day and now I can barely stay for 5 games.
-
Backseating is easy. Pretty much everyone goes against good and bad survivors.
-
You get to run slightly faster for 10 seconds and not waste a perk slot with tracking.
Edit: you also get to play as an edgy teenager, a category 95% of DBD's playerbase seems to consist of.
-
He's obsolete. Ruined by FOV, hit validation and bad addons. They left him rotting for more than 1 year and what do they do to him? Make Engravings less of a pain to use and an addon that only works when you overheat.
Play Blight instead. The fact they did an addon pass to him and kept his busted ones (Ring, Compound 33, speed addons) show it's him the devs want you to play.

I'll put them into tiers.
Tier 1 is going to be Killers that have more potential and/or are easier to master on PC. Tier 2 are Killers that have some advanced techs that are only available for PC players, but their overall gameplay is not majorly affected. Tier 3 are Killers that I feel are not affected much by PC to Console differences. There are no specific rankings within each tier.
So, without further ado, in Tier 1 we have the following Killers:
TIER I
Nurse ~ Nurse can be played on Console, but my God is she a nightmare. The constant freezing and lag, not to mention her many bugs, hold her back considerably. Likewise, she cannot flick on Console, which is a massive drawback. Combine all of these things with the drastically lower FPS, and you have a recipe for absolute disaster.
Trickster ~ Trickster is an absolute nightmare on Console. His recoil is so difficult to compensate for and his aiming is just abysmal. He is walking proof of why Console needs response curve settings like almost every other game has.
Blight ~ Blight isn't as bad as he used to be. He can flick, sort of, and you can definitely get good value from him. However, you aren't ever going to be able to compete with PC Blights. They are going to be able to flick when bouncing, and you just can't do that on Console. This makes his plays at loops much more difficult due to the slower turn rate and when combined with the low FPS, it can be a thoroughly unenjoyable experience.
Cenobite ~ Pinhead is an interesting one. If we are talking about the way I play him, it doesn't affect me. I maximize his Box uptime and try to use that to win. However, playing him like BHVR intended (ie, using his Chains at every loop) gets a disaster. Many streamers and top players on PC have said that aiming his Chain is pretty difficult. It's damn near impossible to aim and control it on Console. You have to put it right on top of people.
Deathslinger (RIP) ~ Deathslinger also suffers from not being able to flick. Those split second flick shots simply can't be done on Console. His ADS also triggers freezes a lot of times (ask me for clips I dare you) and the lower FPS gives you less time to act when Survivors juke.
Nemesis ~ Nemesis is basically stuck in the same rut as Deathslinger. He can't flick, his Tentacle can freeze your game and the low FPS gives him less time to react to Survivor jukes. It's also weird trying to track with the Tentacle, something is just off about it.
Twins ~ Bit of a surprise pick, I know. Twins can't flick shot, which can really hurt Victor and every time you charge a pounce as Victor, the game lags. Most of the skill shots you can make with Victor are gone on Console.
TIER II
Hag ~ The only real difference I've seen with Hag is binding the teleport button to the scroll wheel to get faster teleportation to traps. That's a really high-level "tech" that doesn't affect most of the playerbase.
Demogorgon (RIP) ~ His Shred can freeze sometimes and it can be difficult to track, but for the most part, he's just fine on Console. You are only gonna have issues against really good Survivors, but then again, who doesn't?
Huntress ~ Huntress is gonna miss her flick shots, but from what I've seen, you shouldn't really need to go for those too much. Her long range shots are still there, and there isn't any freezing with her Hatchets.
Billy ~ Billy basically just loses his ability to quickly turn and chainsaw Survivors. Again, no flicking allowed.
Legion ~ Legion is a surprise pick. The low FPS can cause you to miss a Frenzy attack, which is absurdly punishing for no reason. Likewise, going into Frenzy will TANK your FPS. Ergo, Legion suffers from some painfully punishing issues on Console.
TIER III
Trapper ~ His traps are traps, regardless of you being on PC or Console.
Wraith ~ Bing bong go bing bong no matter the device.
Myers ~ *heavy breathing intensifies*
Ghostface ~ He still gets revealed through walls and can't be revealed when he's right in front of you.
Doctor ~ Shock go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Bubba ~ Chainsaw go vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Freddy ~ He still places snares at every loop and always teleports to your gen because of course he has Tinkerer.
Pig ~ Traps go brrrrrr but I could see a case for her Ambush not being as good due to lower sensitivity. However, her Ambush is bad.
Spirit ~ *vacuum cleaner noises intensify*
Clown ~ He's still gonna eat every pallet in sight. Just throw gas, break pallet and repeat until you lose.
Plague ~ Her vomit is the same, so much as I can tell.
Oni ~ Oni is actually really good. His response curve feels great and I have zero complaints. I don't think the 180 flick is intended atm.
Pyramid Head ~ I could see a case for him being in Tier II, but as I understand it, you want to use his Punishment of the Damned at animation locks. You shouldn't be trying to flick it.
Anyways, that's what I've got. Hope this helps!
I used to have 1500 hours on PS4 before moving to PC recently. Imo Deathslinger and Nurse are tier 2, what holds these two back is the lack of higher sensitivity, I've never had problems with both. Agree with the rest of the list tho.
-
It's overkill, she's already fair to face in chase. Still strong, but fair and if I get downed I can finally say "nice phase".
@Junylar said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2538942#Comment_2538942
If it's fair to see Wraith in his invisibility, it should be fair to see Spirit in hers.
Wraith doesn't have a cooldown on his bell and he's 115%. Not even comparable.
-
Going for the unhooker is usually the best move anyways. If you go for the unhooked you have a downed survivor and 3 healthy ones, while going for the unhooker you have 2 healthy, 1 downed (rescuer) and 1 injured (rescued). Not even mentioning you're avoiding BT and DS plays.
-
Survivor: Claudette and Ace. Always the toxic players. If you kill one there's a very high chance they will insult you on endgame.
Killers: Hag, Trapper, Twins. TErRitOriAl kIlLerS were a mistake.
