At this point they just need to make fixed hook placements on Midwich. Clearly they can't have randomised hooks work on the map and the rest of the map including pallets is always fixed anyway. Just have the gens be random and that's it.

######### man. Seems kinda stupid for them to do that, considering nobody was complaining about this stuff not being limited time
It's not about players complaining, it's about BHVR being greedy.

Thats a big wall of text right there...
Overall we agree with the main points (or what we think the points are)
Our answer to the top question is that everything is serviceable as long as the load out compliments it or use it effectively. For example we've gotten use out of grim embrace on trapper by using it as a mid game corrupt intervention to reset/move traps without worry. The only contender we think is non serviceable is ruin, though someone could prove us wrong (doubtful though).
We also agree that slowdown perks are ment to give a window to pressure survivors. Currently we mostly see killers stack 3/4 slowdown perks and trying to whittle away everything while never chasing more than a handful of seconds, wasting that huge window. No "natural" pressure and most have become compliant in having this huge window. While some maps make it look like taking 4 slowdowns is the best option it's not going to help in the long run. People need to stop relying on slowing down gens and to speed up chases.
The problem is that most 'chase' perks are pretty garbage. If they buffed them and made them actually on par with some of the better slowdown perks then people would use them.
The only chase perks I'd say that are really worth bringing are Blood Favour (which has it's own problems, being a hex perk) and STBFL, which is more a camping perk than anything.
-
Scratched Mirror Myers is the obvious choice but I've crapped myself against Rusty Shackles Hag a few times.
-
Jolt and Deadlock are the main two that I could see becoming more meta. Then in a few months they'll get nerfed because of their pick rate.
To be fair Pain Res is still decent now that it'll be 25%, plus it still works with DMS so I think it'll still be used a fair bit after it's nerf. Other than that Eruption and Pop are still serviceable and work well together, you just wont wanna bring CoB or Overcharge now they're gutted. Corrupt is still solid on a few killers too.
Oh! Also Penti is -really- strong slowdown, you just gotta bring either Plaything or Devour/Undying.
-
I don't think they need to add basekit gate regression but adding it to a weak perk like Remember Me would be a nifty idea.
It wouldn't suddenly make loads of people bring it but it'd help make it a more meanigful endgame perk.
-
Ah, there's the blatent homophobia I was expecting to see. Wouldn't be a thread like this without it.
On topic though, I think some people seem to forget that out of the entire DBD roster we only have -one- confirmed LGBT character. They're acting like most of the roster is queer.
-
If this is actually true then it would be a bug since Victor isn't supposed to act that way.
-
To be fair they should just get rid of trying to get yourself off the hook outside of Deliverance. It's almost always just used to screw over your teammates and confuse newer players.

Actually, no, BBQ isn't used a lot now, most of the killer can't really gain value from the arua reading, and most of those can don't need it.
The BBQ was used a lot is because the BPs,which make killer can get green mori for their game.
I still go against quite a lot of killers who use BBQ. Nowhere near as much as they used to but it's still a solid, decent perk for most killers.
Also Dead Hard is still gonna be a pretty strong perk, saying David has zero good perks now is ridiculous.
-
I mean trying to slug all the survivors isn't usually that effective and that's why you don't see it all that often. If a killer wants to play that way though they have every right to do it, the survivors should have an easier game so long as they don't screw up and all go down.
-
Spirit is still one of the strongest killers in the game and can still absolutely dominate, especially if you use some of her really good addons.
I'm still baffled why she isn't played more. Her nerfs were always gonna drive some people away since you do actually have to play well with her now but she's still easier than Nurse and Blight while being 'almost' as strong as them.
-
Yeah even after her big nerf she's still easily the third strongest killer in the game. The only reason so many people dropped her was because the nerfs meant you actually had to be good with her to do well, she wasn't giving away easy wins anymore.
-
Low and mid MMR it's killer-sided but at high MMR it's survivor-sided.
-
The few games I've had since he came back have been same old same old.

People forget that no Dead Hard in the first chase is huge. Getting that first hook is what starts actually slowing gens down and starts to move the game more in the killer's favour. If you don't tunnel then it's the first two chases with no DH.
-
I do find it odd they basically just added another Blood Pact when NO ONE uses Blood Pact because it's terrible.
-
Not including legendary skins, I'd say Ash, Yoichi and Tapp are probably the rarest survivors. Almost never see anyone playing them.
-
That would completely go against the changes to nerf self-healing though.
If everyone just changed from medkits and CoH to Self-Care then nothing really changes.
-
DH is still a fair bit weaker after the patch and CoH is significantly weaker after the patch, so not sure why you're complaining.

Then at worst, nothing changes from how killers seem to want to play now. Tunneling isn't encouraged more because of the DH change because killers will still tunnel anyways.
Ironically, even without this DH rework live, they have literal tunnel vision. They think they MUST tunnel as if they are forced to.
I mean they should be making changes to discourage tunneling if they ever want it to be reduced. Many killers tunnel because it's simply stronger than not tunneling. Making perk changes that keep tunneling as strong as it is and outright punishing killers more for not tunneling isn't the answer.
-
New DH will totally encourage tunneling because if you get tunneled you can't use it. I understand they wanted to have a more consistant activation requirement than unhooking others, but if a killer tunnels you and hits through basekit BT, you now don't have DH.
-
Healing others is gonna be exactly the same as it is now and I don't have much of a problem getting teammates to heal me in solo queue. Yes, self-healing is obviously gonna be harder but you can still bring a medkit with 2 heals on it and bring something like Bond to help you find others to heal you.

Yeah but currently he's a ranged killer and has been treated worse than the other 2 (3 if you count Wesker). So just bringing him in line with the others would do him some justice at least. M&A Deathslinger was pretty rough tho.
I wish the chain strength would scale with range, otherwise the range increase would be pointless.
Why would you count Wesker as a ranged killer?
-
I mean some places in the world don't have a server near them and no matter how great their internet they're gonna have bad ping. Do they not deserve to play online games?
-
I'm sorry to tell you that DBD isn't dying. It's still significantly more popular than many other live-service games.
Again my condolances.
-
As has been said there's already certain rules about where the survivors can spawn in a map in relation to the killer and totems. I suppose if BHVR also made it so they can't spawn within a certain radius of a gen, then there'd be too few spawn locations and killers would easily be able to learn how to predict where the survivors spawn without Lethal. Similar to Pinhead and his box.
Would also massively increase the likelihood of survivors all spawning together, which is already fairly common thesedays. Not a bad thing for killers though, many are in favour of always having all four survivors spawning together, though that would make Discordance a bit too strong then.
-
I don't think this is the case. I've had people who almost certainly DCed on purpose have their symbol show up as either.
-
Basekit BT is designed to help against tunnelling and stopping a survivor from being downed the moment their feet touch the floor, which felt terrible and gave the survivor almost zero counterplay unless they could time a perfect DH. Survivors don't have control over when they get saved and getting insta-downed because you got saved when the killer was nearby or indeed if they were camping, it gives the unhooked surv a chance to actually do -something-.
If you're a good looper then the 10 second BT and 10% haste almost guarentees you can make it to a tile/pallet/window and at least have something to try and waste the killer's time with. If you're not a good looper then it gives you a few extra seconds before you quickly go down again, but there's not really anything BHVR can do to protect bad loopers who just got unhooked that wouldn't be busted on a good looper.
-
It does sound like you didn't play amazingly well, however, Twins does get unfairly punished by certain perks and I hope when they eventually do give them their rework, they somehow remedy that.
Unbreakable/Exponential/No Mither, Power Struggle, We're Gonna Live Forever, Dead Hard, Circle of Healing, all have a much greater effect on Twins than any other killer and it's a shame they get countered by anti-slugging perks when they literally NEED to slug if they wanna use their power.
-
Solo queue definitely still needs some buffs, especially with the huge healing nerfs coming that'll make it even worse.
That said, it's not dead, not even close.
-
Most of the BP codes were something laughable like 30k which didn't even get you through a larger bloodweb.
But yeah BP is a lot easier to get now due to the Role Bonus and because they made everything in the bloodweb cheaper than it used to be.
-
That claudette build 😐️
-
There's a few maps that lean one way or the other but the only map that I'd say is actually firmly killer-sided is Midwich. The other indoor maps lean killer sided especially The Game but I don't think they're quite as bad.
-
If you're hitting em right at the end of a dash you wanna be right behind em.
-
I mean BHVR takes years to do anything so don't expect it for a loooong time.

Before this patch announcement, medkits (specifically) were not frequently brought up as a problem. CoH was specifically mentioned.... but medkits (specifically) were not. And altruistic healing (specifically) was not frequently brought up either.
I hope BHVR actually looks at the post history of these forums before the patch announcement, and realize that a lot of the claims being made are objectively false, and can be proven to be false.
Medkits being busted has been a fairly common viewpoint for a while now. I know Otz made a video ages ago showing just how insane they were.
-
A backrooms map could be pretty nifty.
-
I got Eyrie questions and no Nurse questions. I definitely prefer the map now than before but I still dislike it and would never bring an offering for it, as survivor or killer.
-
You must be mistaken, BHVR fixed the 'crashing' so it's all good now :)
-
When people say they're gonna quit if X happens you've gotta take it with a big grain of salt because they're usually lying. When BHVR adds bad changes people whine but still play and still pay money for Feng skins.
-
I mean I -am- an 'actual killer player' and I gave the pretty obvious reason why he probably did this.
It doesn't take a genius to work out that a Wraith who didn't get a hook until the exit gates were open and is hitting someone on the hook is probably doing it because he's upset. Like almost anyone can work that out I don't understand what secret you're expecting killer players to have.
-
I mean no one can read the Wraith player's mind and tell you why he did that, but it's seems the most likely reason he did that was he was upset that the game went really badly for him so took out part of that frustration by hitting you on hook.
Why does it matter? By letting it get to you -this- much that you went to the forums and made a thread just screams that the Wraith got what he wanted.

They’re not though. While she’s chasing the first survivor you should be able to pop 2-3 gens.
Remember that first chase will have no Dead Hard.
-
It favours everyone except you, specifically you.
-
DBD is the only game where playing a certain way is called 'abuse'.
No but slugging isn't against the rules or abusing anything. If a killer doesn't want to hook they always have the option of trying to get all survivors downed at the same time and win that way, assuming no one has a perk that lets them pick themselves up.
I understand that many survivors don't find those sorts of games fun but it's a legitimate part of the game and by playing DBD you agree to deal with this if it happens.
Bring No Mither if it's such an issue.

Can't wait for the 6.1.0 phenomenon to repeat where no one will run DH for 2 weeks before it becomes the most used perk again. I hope BHVR are ready to nerf it again, if necessary.
The way the nerf works means the survivors are punished if lots of them bring it. Only one person can unhook someone, so mutltiple DH users will be stepping on each other toes. It's the same reason Deliverance isn't more popular despite being busted good.
-
The main effect is survivors are punished if multiple people bring it. Just like Deliverance it'd result in people fighting over unhooks. This will result in many people who still -want- to run the nerfed DH just not running it because they don't wanna be doing unhook races with other people.
It's similar to Inner Healing that way, which is gonna be a lot more popular with the healing nerfs, but if everyone else runs it you're screwed.
