I remember reading a post by a Mod (I think Mandy) that if the killer is camping a three gen and makes no effort to chase and down survivors after an extended amount of time, can be punished with a ban (dunno if temp or not). I don’t know what extended amount of time is, but maybe, if you can, record your matches and report them.
I doubt they will reworked her in the near future. They’ll eventually give her the Freddy treatment when she’s not making them money anymore. In the meantime they need to reduce the match time limit to 30 minutes.
I think that post was in regards to a Doctor who purposefully never hit survivors. Like even if a survivor was standing right in front of him he would ignore them and just defend the gens. That's against the rules, but protecting a 3-gen and only going for easy hits, even if easy hits rarely ever happen, is much more of a grey area, since technically you are still trying to ultimately kill the survivors, unlike in the Doctor game.
-
I'm guessing there just isn't enough demand for one. Buying and maintaining regional servers likely costs a fair bit of money, and if there aren't enough players in the area then it just isn't worthwhile.

The major issue people are ignoring here is - EVEN IF other killers would be better at 3 genning, well... they still want to PLAY the game and chase survivors in order to kill.
SM players(90% of them) want to stand still and let the win come to them, even a facecamping bubba has to go out once to get his victim.
That's more because other killers who excel at 3-genning tend to also be strong or at least servicable in chase. Skull Merchant is just the most basic m1 killer in chase because her drones do barely anything to help her there.
SMs who don't 3-gen are purposefully handicapping themselves just to be nice/have fun because she's just far weaker when she doesn't 3gen.
-
Someone watched Spooknjukes' latest video.
-
I don't really mind either way. The important thing is for the new killer to actually be fun, not whether it's licenced or not.
-
Bear in mind that 5 gens left can turn into 3 or even 2 gens left very quickly. If the game is going in the killer's favour and you can leverage that further by tunnelling, it makes sense to. Goodness knows the survivors aren't gonna slow down on gens out of 'being nice' so why would killer turn down the pressure?.

I'm not here to make new hot takes, just to support the current and important ones.
About the second point, let me laugh deeply.. so HAHAH.
If the intended power was to stand still and refuse chasing survivors until they give up cause of a 3 gen then good job for them, the 3 skull merchant players that play in the true intended way, which is to chase and try to expose survivors with her lame power, are being thanked for playing like that at the endgame chat LMAO.
Imagine being thanked for playing the game, imagine me playing COD and thanking my oponnent for shooting at me, that's how bad SM state is right now.
I mean if none of the devs thought that people would use her kit this way when it's basically BUILT to be used to 3-gen, that would be worrying indeed and would show they know nothing of their own game.
I choose to believe they intended her to be a strong 3-genner.
-
Hot takes I've never heard before.
Also they're never gonna kill switch a killer who is working intentionally.
-
Sadly they already tweaked her so they're probably just gonna call it a day since they're already working on the next couple of killers.
-
This is incredibly petty. The entire point of cakes and BPS is to reward everyone in the match with more BP. This change completely goes against the point of that.
-
I'm of the opinion that Insidious shouldn't be in the game. The only times it's not useless is when it promotes unfun gameplay.
Other kinds of undetectable perks are much healthier in comparison.
-
Map design, along with tunneling being as effective as it is.

Contrary to the rules was the filth he did to me. 😡
I mean nothing you described is against the rules of the game. It sounds really douchey what he did, yeah, but it isn't against the rules. Plus what are you even trying to do here? Linking his steam account? Are you trying to stir up a hate mob to go over and give this guy flak? That's not going to solve anything and is one of the reasons naming and shaming is against the rules.

Naming and shaming is against the forum rules, please censor that player's name or this thread is gonna be removed.

And we found the singular "dark Brazilian manga" defender.
Why are you being like this? I'm literally just telling you that you're misusing words so that you can try and do better and you're just being rude about it.

Her lore being bad also isn't a 'Fact'. Again, there is a difference between a widely-held opinion, and a fact. Please don't misuse such words, it can be dangerous.

Without addons Myers should be next to Trapper

No, it's objective.
Her design is bad. It should never be done again and the game would be better off is SM was removed.
I don't think you understand the difference between opinion and fact. Even an opinion that's widely-held is still an opinion.

For casuals you might expect to see a lot of missed skill checks, meaning more locked generators for all survivors early in the game, casual or not, opening the door for killers to move on other gens. In terms of larger impact, if casuals are often missing the skill checks, they might stop playing the add-on entirely, meaning less BNPs in games overall.
For less casual survivors there is still the added pressure of missing skill checks that might affect them. I miss skill checks and play more than casual.
As I said, survivors will want no change, killers will want more change!
BNPs aren't really an issue at low MMR because bad survivors can't effectively capitalise on the time saved. High MMR survivors, who are unaffected by this nerf, are the issue when it comes the BNP.
-
Locked for 90 seconds?! That's absurdly long for missing a skill check. Maybe 20 seconds but I still don't think that making them more punishing is the answer because really good survivors can just hit both of them and it's not really a nerf for them. Just makes the addon unusable for lower MMR players.

Well until the community stops huffing collective copium that these strats are fun and fair to play against the devs won't ever see it as a serious issue.
I have yet to see a single person on these forums or on twitter saying that tunneling is 'fun'. Can you please point to some examples please?

so a bit like some of the killer abilities that you couldn't avoid (vs a good killer) unless you were near a pallet loop or window? sound's EXACTLY the same ?
it was ran (as i said in the original post) because it was fun to run, you had to THINK about when you were going to use it. Now nobody is using it at all and its lythe or sprint burst which are 0 brainer abilities. Killers are only happy because they don't have to think about anything now they just m1 and expect the survivor to go down.
Some people still use Dead Hard so that part's blatently untrue. Also Sprint Burst does require at least some amount of skill if the survivor wants to use it reliably and not just running away from a gen. If the survivor is using SB with no brain then they're walking everywhere which slows the game down and they're unable to 99 it which is where it gets much of it's strength from.

If that's your only concern, run Distortion and you'll have a better time.
If you always give up directly with every challenge, you will unfortunately not get far or get better.
I do run Distortion but it's not gonna really do much when the Nurse lands every blink attack on my teammates.
I usually do try, even against difficult killers on difficult maps but the combo of a Nurse and Midwich as a solo queue player just seems impossible. Unless the Nurse is genuinely new or rarely plays her and is just doing a daily or something, it's almost never gonna result in more than 1 person escaping so it kinda feels like why bother.
-
I mean Knockout existing kinda shows BHVR is fine with hard-slugging. Yeah it's really boring for survivors but the devs are okay with it being a strategy in the game.

i think people need to look up the word "abusive" and what it actually means
there is nothing abusive about a 0.5 second ability that has to be timed correctly to work and most of the time doesn't work anyway because of the server latency...
It's almost like killers just want an easy game where they don't have to think about any of the perks survivors have LOL.
If you want the game to be so boring to the point where "if I press M1 next to the survivor i want to GUARANTEE they will get hit" with absolutely no counter play then fair enough.
I keep seeing certain people saying how unreliable and easy-to-counter DH was and... like... if that was the case then it wouldn't have been run by so many people. If you were in a dead-zone then yes it did require actual skill to get it to save you but if you were at a pallet it was almost guarenteed to save you.
-
Sprint Burst is fine. It has actual ways of playing around it which Dead Hard did not in many situations.
Plus not everyone is running SB in my games. I see more Lithe than SB and the occasional Balanced and Dead Hard.

Really, now I couldn't care less about comp or high mmr or other "high society" elvian world. If it's intended strategies, ok. Then trying to jumping off the hook alson valid strategy, otherwise it wouldnt be in the game. And in the second stage, I'm just bad at the game (camping and tunneling is a problem to me, right?) so I accidentally miss all skill checks.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3422959#Comment_3422959
My point is, again and again, I repeat myself like a broken gramophone, I want to play the game. I don't mind losing, I don't mind fighting, but I want to play. Being in lobby for 5 minutes, then sitting on a gen holding M1, then being downed and camped in 10 seconds or seeing teammate being camped or tunneled (which is 99.9% already a loss and ABSOLUTELY NO POINT continue playing) - hardly a pleasure. You should try it. Playing killer is fun, I know, but it's good to see things from other perspective first hand.
Unless(!) it is a comp game. Then I'd like to hear it officially. If so, I'll go the hell out of DbD with clear conciousness and no hard feelings. But something tells me it's not about comp, it's just game design flaw that is exploited on lower mmr/solo games.
Okay so if the killer chooses to camp and tunnel, it is -not- an automatic loss for the survivors, even in solo queue. I wont deny that tunnelling is the most effective way to play killer, even with all the measures in place to try and weaken it, but it is not even close to being a guarenteed way to win, otherwise every time a killer tunnels they would get a 3k or 4k which simply doesn't happen.
Also if you're going down in the first 10 seconds of a match, a big part of that is you. If you're that bad in a chase (which I admit I totally am) then you can bring perks like Distortion or simply play more stealthy until you can see someone else is in chase.
-

Don't know why my comment disappear, probably some net problems, but I redo it.
I personally started to suicide when I see hard-tunneler or camper, because I'm completely weary of this crap. I also gladly throw in some t-bags for good measure (which I never did before). If some kid likes to use exploits to spoil everyone's game and dwell in constant hatred and disgust by other players, I can at least indulge that questionable pleasure. Also he'd much faster get his "well-earned" kills and get to high MMR, where he'd get his proper treatment.
Camping and tunneling aren't exploits. Yes the devs have tried to add more counterplay to them but that doesn't mean they're exploits.
If the devs considered them exploits they'd outright remove them, but they don't because, as they've stated in the past, camping and tunneling are strategies the killer is fully in their right to capitalise on if they so choose.
What I find odd is that with how much people complain about camping and tunneling thesedays, survivors still aren't really bringing the perks intended to discourage them.
-
Getting downed early on isn't really a good reason to screw over the rest of your teammates, just sayin'.
-
Killers can play however they want so long as it's within the rules of the game. If a Nemmy wants to just tunnel Jill or a Myers wants to only go after Laurie they can do that.
Though if they were roleplaying accurately they wouldn't be able to actually kill Jill or Laurie.

so the final verdict is that the medkit update sucked and shouldn't have existed, more and more I see the survivors' items getting worse and worse or simply useless (broken key, just take this item away, no one uses it)
Medkits were near-universally considered too strong before the nerf. Self-healing is incredibly-strong in this game because not only does it mean that only 1 survivor is taken off of a gen to do it, but it further saves time because you can just do it whenever you want instead of having to look for another survivor in the first place. Being able to fairly easily bring a medkit with 2 or more heals into literally every game was an insane amount of pressure if even one or two survivors did it, and if 3 or all 4 survivors had even 2-heal medkits then it pretty much shut down any sort of hit-and-run playstyle and meant the killer HAD to get the down since only an injury meant nothing.
The nerf meant that 2-heal medkits are the absolute strongest now (not including perks like Built to Last), require an iri addon thus making them not -as- viable to bring every game, and made it so that self-healing isn't -as- absurdly efficient as it was. That said you can still have 4 survivors with 2-heal medkits and it can still bring a lot of pressure for the survivor team, it just isn't a no-brainer to always run a medkit every single game.
I'd still argue medkits are the strongest survivor item behind Brand-New-Parts Commodius toolboxes.

Self-Care is 35% of normal speed (35/100), not 35% slower (65/100). Before the latest nerf for it it was 50% and some people used to think that was "trash". If it were still 50% it'd be one of the most commonly ran perks today.
Post-nerf, medkits used on yourself take a 33% efficiency loss. Meaning if you use it on someone else you get 100% of its value (24/24 charges, or two heals to other survivors), but if you use it on yourself you get 67% of it's value (16.08/24 charges, or one heal to yourself). If the killer is running Sloppy Butcher, Overwhelming Presence, or an addon that causes Mangled (or Hemorrhage and you get interrupted while healing), there won't be enough charges for one self heal.
In some trials I've seen players bring a medkit in at the start while the end scoreboard shows them running Botany Knowledge (reduces medkit healing efficiency on both self and altruistic heals), and I can only assume their reading proficiency is just enough to be able to log into the game.
That's not true, Mangled just makes it take longer to heal, it doesn't affect charges in any way. Even if the killer has Sloppy you can heal yourself with just one med-kit.
-
Survivor gameplay outside of chases has pretty much always been just hold m1. If you hate it that much then play killer 👨🎤
-
My guess is that BHVR is worried about offending Islam. They probably think that if they make a killer based on arabic myth or a survivor that is actually like directly from an arabic country that people will complain about stereotypes or portraying them wrongly or portraying them in a way that offends them.
This is of course a potential issue with anything they release but there's no doubt that anything related to Islam tends to be much more of a controversial issue.

Yeah but BHVR -really- doesn't like doing anything that increases queue times even slightly. They prefer uneven games so long as it means fast queues.

Makes sense, what doesn't make sense is me (100+ Hours) Goes against killers that are still playing their first match.
My guess is that there aren't enough new players in the queue so it just grabs whoever's next. 100+ hours is also pretty low for this game so you might have been the newest available.
-
I mean the killer lost the game for doing that, so I'm not really sure why you're complaining. That said I'll happily admit that there have been times that a particular survivor really annoyed me so I made it my job to kill that person even if the other three end up getting out. If they end up being really good and it takes me the whole rest of the game to get em so the others escape then they should be happy, surely.

People who were calling new Pain Res "complete garbage" looking kinda silly now.

Because i am playing with female characters which i simp. If they are not straight, i won't simp since there is no point for me. I am not gonna hate them, i am not gonna shame them. I will just play with different characters i can simp.
So i still don't know why this is big issue right now. You can play with any character you want for any reason. My reason is that. I don't care about their lore. I'm looking to see if they're attractive. And even if they are attractive are they straight or not. I am not female so i can't simp for lesbian woman. And i am not gay, so i can't simp for male character either.
I hope this made it clear for you.
I mean there's no 'point' in simping a straight fictional character either to be fair. Like there's zero chance of reciprocation regardless of what her sexual orientation is.

Why do you think that is?
Male gamers in general prefer to play as women if given the choice, and most female gamers prefer to play as women if given the choice.
-
I haven't seen many David for ages now, he's not been popular for quite some time. Part of it I think is that he looks worse after they redid his model, but Vittorio being added hurt him a lot because Vitty is just sexier.
-
I mean barely any killers are 'liked by most people'. You see threads whining about a whole load of the killer roster, and the only real ones that seem to be commonly liked are killers like Hillbilly who are generally on the weaker end.
-
Hopefully it's fixed soon, I actually quite like Any Means :(
-
So long as medkits allow self-healing it will ALWAYS be better to self-heal with one instead of healing others. You can already heal someone else at an alright pace without one.
-
What are you expecting will happen? If the devs played one game and all escaped you'd be complaining it was just one game and doesn't mean anything. If they played one game and all died you'd be saying it's proof that survivors are too weak.
The game is designed around a 60% kill rate, thus a 40% escape rate. With SWF included in that number, solo queue is gonna be a fair bit lower, I'd guess around 30% escape rate. So yeah you're gonna die a bunch and not gonna escape much in solo queue, that's literally how it's balanced.
Now you can instead argue about how that isn't how it should be balanced and that it's gonna turn solo players away from the game. I'd certainly agree with you there, but this current arguement doesn't make sense.
-
Hmmm, it's tricky. I think if they made it permanent for the rest of the match it might be too strong? Like it lets you see the aura of all other teammates no matter the range AND lets them see your aura too. Even though it does have the unhooking/healing requirement, that seems like it needs something to keep it in check.
That said it only really helps solo queue and isn't that good in a SWF so I dunno. You're usually not gonna have it fully 'online' until quite far into the match, and it's current downside is a bit too much which is why it isn't really used.
With THAT said now that solo healing is much weaker and altruistic healing is a big thing again, coupled with the CoH aura changes, it's actually easier to get Aftercare online than before.
Lots of variables to consider.
