So a sample size of 1 then?
I think people will soon come to realise that the gulf in abilities across the platform is a lot smaller than they think.
When it's against console killer they can be useful otherwise they get stomped i've played at least 10 games since the crossplay change.
-
Console players are too used to the handicaped killer they played against on console.
Last game i played they did 0 gen. Died in 10 second, unhook in front of killer then both die. That's red rank
I did 2 gen. Runned the killer for quite a while which allowed my team to recover a bit that is until the pc killer realise im not the weak link and stop chasing me and obliterate the console survivor. Game end with me going out via the door alone.
I really hope those player will get better because i will not continue to play if it stay like this.

I'm on PC and don't want to enable crossplay for the simple reason that I feel like console teammates will be a hindrance to my games because the reduced frames and movement. It's bad enough I'll get potato mates on PC, why make the pool bigger?
This is coming from someone who has been an Xbox gamer for years and only just built my PC last year, so.
From what i saw there's not a huge difference. For the killer you face there's a huge difference. It's alot harder to play billy/nurse on console. Most of the time it's been a stomp.
-
Console survivor are pretty good but killers aren't as good. Things like red rank billy that cant chainsaw me a single time.
-
I must say console killer are pretty funny to play against. They have a hard time keeping up with pc survivors.

killer queues are instant for me, survivor has waiting time. I guess many people give up on killer because SWF wrecked them.
It's region dependent my queue are instant.
-
I hate those survivor bot self caring in a corner against legion sloppy. They are always the last one standing but since they wasted so much time they dont escape either. If they did gen everybody could get out.

He was at the exit when he used the flashlight, like one step and he was out. And it wasn't a quick blind, he held it most likely til it ran out then left. Anything else would have been fine. It was uncalled for.
its 500 pt per blind. Stop taking everything as some kind of BM.
Flashlight are one of the easiest way to get point. That's why you get survivor flashlighting at pallet.
Same reason people heal at the gates instead of leaving. Or waiting at the exit. It's not to piss you off it's to give you a hit.
Survivor bp gain are so low that it's kinda needed.

PH is also slowed when he is using his power
and heavily punished if misses. Huntress and demo doesn't have that much punishment for missing.
Also Ph power is really bad outside of loops. Demo and huntress still can use their power effectively outside of loops.
Ph is at 4.4 when using his trail still way faster than survivor + he can cancel his trail for free.

Bait

Pyramid plays very similar to huntress at loops though, the difference is he is faster. Huntress has the exact same gameplay in fact. The difference between the 2 is PH can't reliably use his power outside of animation locks, whereas huntress can, and at a longer range, so she suffers movement speed.
if you don't like the way PH plays, why do you like how huntress plays, when they effectively do the same thing at loops?
No ph don't play like huntress at loops. Huntress is punished HARD if she prepare her hatchet and i dont drop the pallet, i can do another loop. Vs PH i just pray he's a noob and he can't aim.
-
@bingbongboi90 said:
Dont feel like ph needs any changes tbh. The baiting attacks is what demo and huntress and deathslinger all can do. Ph excells using his power only at loops. When the survivors hold w he need to go for a M1 because his power is garbage anywhere but loops.
And if there were so many counters to a killer.power then it wouldnt be a power.
Because Lets look at the limitations the power has;
-He.slows himself down when throwing his knife into the ground but also when he is in his.power.
-it shows the shockwave to the survivors before they get damaged al they van react most of the time
-shockwave has a delay.
So in conclusion he excells at looping but has no map pressure so he gets gen rushes into oblivion. That's why he doesnt need any nerfs
Huntress is slowed down when she rise her hatchet and have to wait to get the maximum range.
Demogorgon dont bypass palette he destroy them, he's also slowed when he does his m2. so you can still vault without being punished whatever you do.
PH and DS are unique case of lose/lose situation.

it annoys the absolute ######### out of me when people say dont slug, slugging is damn near manditory on almost every killer against a decent team you cant go against sentient survivors and get 12 hooks unless your iri head huntress nurse or spirit or any killer with built in slowdown
slugging is one of three strats to win the other two is tunneling and patrolling/camping which are boring to do
let me clarify this good survivors as in actual players that will know how to use resources effiencently
You don't have to slug the whole team.

Maybe the skill check frequency, but the other two effects won't work with the Autodidact. Good point though, just wouldn't be worth a slot.
Yeah i was talking about the skill check frequency. It's a nice synergy tho.
-
I like the first suggestion it would also buff autodidact.

Sometimes you teleport and M1 instantly to get a hit, sometimes they're 10m away even if you teleport instantly, sometimes you teleport and you're facing a wall or something and the survivor is behind you, etc.
How is this supposed to work? Are there tricks?
Thanks.
When a survivor activate the trap the hag husk rotate to face the direction of the survivor. When you teleport you face that direction.

yeah, that's what i did. i hooked the guy who has recovered the most, but they had like 3-4 unbreakables. not much i can do.
Well you 4 slug so it's kinda deserved. Without this they wouldnt have enough time to get up.
-
hook them. That's this easy
-
time to level up ash then

@ItzPixelYT said:
Apparently they fixed that whole teabag pointing animation...which broke the Flashlights...but on Ash you can still teabag and point and Flashlights work fine on him...haven't tested everyone, but Ash using flashlights still work
If it's the real story it's quite ridiculous to even try to fix this.

Considering survivors vaulting faster at any angle, the slowness of killer vault speed, instablinds, LITERALLY INFINITE LOOPS, etc. - it's a wonder this game survived at all. How did killers ever kill anyone? You're right, I wouldn't have stuck around... what's your point?
The problem with SWF is that it's impossible to balance the game. If you make survivors weaker to balance around SWF, the solo queue is impossible. If you do the opposite, SWF becomes too easy. Right now it's leaning more towards SWF being too easy, because frankly games end in 6 minutes if people know how to do gens and not rush to unhook.
Killer back then knew how to play instead of trying to catch someone looping at an infinite loop they tried to catch other survivor.
There's too many high rank killer that still tunnel it's actually a bit sad.

good point, but i still think this change is too much as billy isn't even good in the first place. most people would agree without his old addons hes not top tier or overpowered by any means, so really any change making his overheat prominent is just so uneccesary and frustrating, especially when they currently have a broken mmr in place
what do you mean not even good he is one of the best. He is next to nurse and oni on the snowball potential.
-
No thanks, it's already bad enough when your rank 15 teammate feed the myers his power then he use ew3 on you. There's no need to have an unlimited fountain of evil within.
-
The overheat meter that did go live was pretty much useless nobody was getting overheated ever. It's totally normal that they reduced the heat dissipation rate. You guys are overdramatizing everything.
-
Most of the time killer complain about "genrush" when they tunnel one guy that is good at looping.
The 4 bnp + prove thyself commando squad is so rare it's not even worth accounting for.
If there's nobody to heal survivor will be on gen that's to be expected
-
@SleepyWillo said:
DS is a necessary mechanic to counter camping and tunnelling. If nobody camped or tunnelled you would hardly see ds used...
Regarding the proccing of 3 DS at the exit gates - if you were able to get that kind of momentum at the endgame - where was that pressure earlier on?
He probably got those kill with noed. And got 0 pressure the whole game.
-
Increase survivor bp gain while we are at it. No reason i should get the same amount of point than the killer that chased me all game.
-
game is killer sided against solo player. Especially with the new mmr that put rank 20 in your team against a red/purple killer
It's literally 1v3 (that is if the other players are even decent).
a new player should never be in a veteran game, his experience is ruined and he ruin the match for the other players.
Like seriously it's just 3 free pop for the killer.
-
Try playing survivor with flashlight it will change your mind.
If anything they should be buffed.
-
Doing all 5 bones is a waste of time. Only do the hard to find one/in the middle of the map maybe. Leave those near exit gate.
If you do that against a good killer with tons of map pressure you will make everyone lose just to remove a potential noed.

Is this a bait thread?
yes

You can't unless he's bad. Then it's just a matter of choosing the right angle to vault and watching when he put his sword on the ground.
-
It's either 2-3 rank 20 on my team vs a red rank killer or full red squad against a baby killer

Killers can’t have a small pp build because first they would need crutch perks of which killers have none.
noed is a crutch perk

Ranking up in this game is a penality in this game not an reward. You don't get rewarded with more interesting match instead you get the same full sweat freddy slowdown build with ebony mori that tunnel your rank 20 teammate. Thats a huge problem in this game.
You lost before it even started.
I'm actually very happy when i lose mmr/rank/pip. I'm not dcing tho i just hook suicide.
-
Those r1 freddy/spirit going full sweat against the 2 r20 on my team feels bad man. How welcoming it is for those player to play agaisnt that. You bet they won't buy DLC.
They will refund and never play this game again.

Not that it's the topic. But sincerely, I hate that in mid pickup when the killer cant be moving in animation, that annoys the hell outta me. The animation stops you from reacting. That too needs fixed.
just get good seriously. It's very counterable.

This is not happenning op. Survivor never missing skillcheck

I hate to say it but the whole “Make games fun for Killer and not Survivor” idea is so disgustingly biased.
DS is always complained about but it’s the easiest thing to avoid. You have no idea how many times I’ve had my DS go to waste because a Killer played strategically and didn’t tunnel. Someone hop in a locker? Leave em’ there and go patrol gens. They literally only have 60 secs. I can see why people complained about it before when it had no timer, but now it’s absolutely unnecessarily complained about.
You’re also addressing Survivors for using their only defensive action in a chase? Running pallet loops is all they got, what else are they supposed to do? Stand there and allow you to catch them for free, no work? How will you get better at chases like that?
I play SWF with my friends who are also pretty crappy at Survivor along with me. We play because it’s fun. Why should all people who just want to enjoy playing DBD with their friends be punished because you had a few bad games? Practice, get better, stop applying your same repeated strategies to a chase, make smarter decisions or just take a break from DBD.
he doesn't care if he ruins solo survivor and casual swf as long as he gets his easy 4k any bad idea is good enough for him.

You just can flashlight save after the pick animation
That's not what he is talking about. The flashlight doesn't shine where you point it to. It's literally bugged
-
How is adrenaline a crutch tho. I feel ds is fine but sure some people use it to climb up because they can't loop for too long.
I don't use it myself because i never get to use it. It's either i get slugged or i loop the killer for more than 60 sec and it desactivate. It's really only op against a full swf team that use it to save.

In terms of Noed, the point if it is to punish survivors who dont cleanse totems, but most of the time when people are hit by it, 4/5 totems have been cleansed & the last one is tucked in some corner somewhere.
So by doing totems the survivors force noed to spawn in that one nook & get punished anyway.
An idea I had a little while ago was to base it around how many totems (dull or otherwise) remain on the map when the gates are powered.
The killer gets 1-5 tokens (based on totems remaining when the gates are powered) determining how many basic hits the killer deals before noed vanishes.
Possible additional changes: noed isnt a hex & the exposed effect shows up to survivors as soon as noed activates.
Or even could make it that survivors could cleanse totems late game to remove tokens.
Just ideas
That's exactly why i don't cleanse obvious totem. I only cleanse the harder one. A totem counter would help to coordinate with other solo to make sure to cleanse them all so we can bridge the gap between solo and swf. But right now the best strategy isnt to do them all.
-
Keys are fine for solo tho. You have a huge key showing in the lobby, you get tunneled/mori'd. If you managed to survive that you earned your escape.
Like most thing in the game. It start being very strong when there is coordination.
Mori are op in any situation. It remove a huge chunk of killer objective.

@Lyonnars said:
If rank doesn't mean anything why we couldn't do even single gen because killer was killing as after few seconds, and why i couldn't even hit survivor as killer? It doesn't look like they would have skill like someone who is playing first game in life...
What people mean when rank means nothing is that it's just mean you played alot. There's tons of people with alot of hours in this game that are still bad but since it's easy to rank up they are at the same rank as some god streamer that can loop for 5 gens.
Of course even the worst of the red rank would still do better than a new rank 15 player but once you play enough like a hundred hours those red ranks shouldn't be a problem.
But otherwise yeah i agree. I get tons of games where im the only one escaping because my teammate are yellow ranks vs a r1 killer. That sucks for me and for them. I also have games with solo full commando squad against a r17 killer.
-
Despite having server. Most of the gameplay is still client side. If all the gameplay was on server they could do easy server check like is player movement faster than possible ? same with generator. But it seems like the server trust everything the client send. It's not an anticheat problem. In tons of games those thing aren't possible because a basic rule is to never trust what the client is sending and always do the calculation server side.
-
bloodlust shouldn't even be a thing anymore. It's a thing of the past when there was infinite loop and entity block didn't exist.
-
It's very fair. Killer can open the gate.
If killer can slug for 4k, survivor can 99 for a potential 4 escape.
EGC isn't there to give you free pressure. It's there so you can choose if you want to end the game there by opening the gate yourself.
-
Probably some very simple algorithm that calculate the percentage of time you get a pip.
I don't expect anything more than that. It's BHVR not valve or blizzard.
You are dreaming if you think they could solve the waste of palette giving you more point when they cant even make proper hitbox.
So if you 4k in 2 minute you will probably lower your mmr.

Survivors play as a team therefore you win and lose as a team not one guy winning on the survivor side who hid when it came down to the last two survivors so guy 3 would die first and he can run to hatch.(happens all the time in red ranks) There is just a random secret tunnel in John's yard to in case you guys get stomped.... focus on teamwork and youd see the hatch is a cop out just like NoEd. Pity points.
Solo queue isn't a team game so your dead wrong right there. It's a 1v1v1v1 vs Killer.
That's why hatch is a legitimate game mechanics.
-
Keep running. She's very mindgameable compared to deathslinger or pyramid head. If she prepare her hatchet and you keep running depending on the tile you can run another loop.
