Tbh it looks like you were just slow.
-
She was nerfed before and people said exactly the same thing. It's going to be same this time too.
She's still got one of the most superior chase powers that also gives her mobility. Losing some tracking won't harm her as much as many may think so, bad spirits it might but good one, not at all.
-
NO !
Iron will is perfect the way it is. If anything, Lucky break should be more like iron will and just permanently remove blood pools without affecting scratch marks.
-
Yup, Myers have been overshadowed over the years of new killer releases in everything he does except how feaking cool the theme and execution of his power is. He could definetly use some tweaks to bring his power up to date so it competes better with killers that overshadow him in both snowball and stealth.
Altough if changes were beiing made I'd hope that most of his addons stay the same and only the useless ones get updated and purple tombstone gets nerfed but otherwise, they are probably the best addons in the whole game, drastically changing Michael's playstyle depending on which addons he uses.
Hopefully next midchapter will be completely focused on Halloween chapter, reworking Haddonfield ground up and bringing Myers up to 2021 standart too.

Yes, nobody here cares. Never use them so I really don’t see it impacting me
Good, glad we agree. Now just to wait another 2 years before devs finish working on their key changes.
-
Then nobody will mind if we nerf the ######### out of this busted "underused" item and rework it into something fun and fair.
If you all keep saying that you rarely see keys used or work why make posts that suggest you don't want them changed.
They're dumb just like old mories were, they need a changes asap.
-
Tinkerer is good perk but by itself it doesn't do that much. It becomes as strong as you see it only if paired with the other stuff that makes it work like ruin and high mobility killers. But I understand why would you see it that way.
Other then that, pretty reasonable list. I wouldn't put DH and NWO so high but that's also debatable.
-
How so that We'll make it and resurgence aren't ranked equally ? Don't they have basically the same effect of making a unhook heal 8s long.
I get that WMI has active duration so that you can potencially heal another person but from experince of watching others using it and some of my own, that doesn't happen that often.
-
Yes they are a problem. Unfortunately, I doubt the rework will be any good with how long it's taking.
-
I think the "unfun" aspect that's often given to hag (myself included) is from the POV of a survivor since she's a pretty fun killer to play as but less so to go against for some people.
-
Yeah emblems are terribly designed, survivros are basically forced to get downed and unhooked to get any chance of ranking up or even blackpiping.
You can lose if you play badly AND you also lose if you play too well. It's terrible that devs don't even intend on fixing this crappy system.

Yeah, that's why I said "back to" 20mins. Events always mess with que times (although since killer in AU is like French kissing a belt sander, my killer ques stayed instant while my survivor ques dropped to 1-2 minutes).
I am a huge champion of QoL patches for killer because I want to stop playing it.
The only QoL change I wanted for killers (which was the same hook counter survivors have) was denied by the devs as it could promote tunneling. I mean, I get their point and all but it's still about the only thing that annoys me about killer gameplay, to remember who was hooked how many times.
I find it kind of dumb to say it'd promote tunneling as actual tunnelers just focus on 1 person all game so they don't need to juggle with their memory on who was hooked and when but alas it is what it is.

Do you play at peak times? Becaus emoat people playing at peak times in their region experience the same thing - killer is instant, survivor takes forever. In my VPN jaunts I tested and confirmed that in NA West and EU servers, it's the same. The more players, the less killers.
Before the event, killer ques were just fine for me. Imo it's like this because of the event, I'm pretty sure it will die out soon. Whenever there is BP event (or a new chapter), killer que time get longer, that's how it always was from what I remember.

Except that sort of stuff is exactly why my survivor ques are back to being 20 minutes.
Like it or not, people don't want to play killer. They just don't, it's not exactly a pleasant experience. So, changes that make the role more accessable without really changing the balance seem to be a great way of helping remedy the problem.
It's the exact opposite for me. I have to wait quite a while to play killer, ususally 5+ min. And since survivor ques take like 10s at most I'd just decided to play survivor until it goes back to normal.
I'd wager it's all common issues of matchmaking beiing broken mess rather then lack of players of either side.
-
Farmblems at their prime. It doesn't matter how are you doing, unless you're farming them, you lose no matter the outcome, ecape or death.
-
@Unicorn It's part of skilled gameplay for killers to know how long it takes to wiggle out and if that duration is enough to reach a hook. If you mistime it and go for greedy basement hook insted of a close you, you get punished by survivor wiggling free. If you had a precise wiggle bar you'd just go "oh no, it's almost full, I'd rather drop him then let him escape".
Besides there are some perks that (probably just flip flop) that affect the wiggling process and addint this would make that perk useless not just underwhelming.
From my POV, it's decreasing the skill of playing killer, I wouldn't view such addition as QoL stuff but as removing a cool mechanic of understaning how wiggling works and how much can you afford in terms of distance, bodyblocking etc.

Neither is better then the other as both are used for different purposes at different stages of the game.
IS wastes more time for a single heal overall (finding a totem = x seconds + cleansing totem = 14s + finding a locker = x seconds + actually healing = 8s is overall a really long time sink for 1 heal) but the speed of the actual healing is very fast.
The main advanatage is that with a build you can use this to regain health state in a chase or use it at a critical time where you need to do gen fast but also need to be healthy quickly otherwise killer might snowball into a win.
SC spares you a lot of time actually (the moment chase ends, just 32s of 1 person healing which is more efficient then having a teammate instantly next to you = 2 people healing for 16s + the travel time and the fact that both are off gens compared to IS's 22s + all the running around to activate it) but can be often misused for healing whenever injured which can hurt the team in the end.
As long as one doesn't trade hits for free and understands game's pacing, it's the most efficient way of healing in DBD.
Overall, both are good perks with weaknesses. Neither is superior as they're both more or less useful in different scenarios.
-
Community: neat, looks fun.
Devs: oh look a bug, what if we fixed it for once.
-
Tbh vs today's red rank teams which mostly consist of solo que potatoes, you can do just fine with perkless Legion and still win about 75% of your matches as long as you're overall good killer player.
I'd be nice if some of the killers on the weaker side got some help (perfect example is wraith who's now finally good after years of small changes) but I wouldn't say none of the currect killers are so weak that you would be at significant disadvantage in your general match.
-
Don't worry, at higher level of gameplay it's actually quite mediocre addon, not bad but nothing amazing either. For one, it takes a while to charge, all that time you're not pressuring survivors and a good looper can deny you LOS for a while.
And once you actually do get it, the main thing that changes is that you become plague without ability of cleasing (which people don't do vs her anyway).
Ofc vs normal solo teams, you'll win with anything be it this or perkless Legion. But when faced with players who know how to loop well and don't waste time like solos do, you'll see that this addon is nothing special.
-
I mean, it's a generic perk. Unlocking it fast should be easy even for new players.
-
Well, slinger's last cosmetic was money only so it'd be rather distasteful to do it instantly again for the next one.
-
There are so many to chose for both sides but if I were to pick one for each
Killer: BBQ, plenty of counterplay paired with promoting healthy gameplay. I always hope every killer I face has it so they have more encouragement to play in a fun way.
Survivor: Iron will, promotes juking and losing the chase while by itself removing only 1 out of like 5 ways killer can track a survivor (although a quite a major one I admit), requires clever pathing to get proper value out of it. Another greatly designed perk imo, I wish lucky break was more like it but just for blood.
-
Nah should you want the most free wins you're supposed to play pig according to the all knowing statistics. She's not going anywhere.
Spirit gets regular ton of complains where a few are even legitimate. She'll get some kind of update eventually.
-
Yes but they need to be done right. They're the equivalent of very unsafe pallets where hit is nearly guaranteed.
Both need to be designed and placed properly though, too many of either in one spot can lead to pretty dumb scenarios.
-
It would go like this:
Doc spawns.
Doc uses his blast ability.
Game crashes for everyone.
-
Yup, most survivors wiggle too much giving you a free hit which is much worse then getting speared.
-
All actions that progress the match in any way should award BP. If anyting there should be more of them, not less.
Your punishment for doing dumb stuff is losing early = not having enough time to fully max out BP cathegories.
-
Yes in asymetrical games a 1 killer is stronger then 1 survivor. A true statement indeed.
Ok now for an actual responce. I'd say that with any killer and any build even if it was perkless legion you can get 3-4ks pretty consistently at red ranks since the disparity between optimal gameplay of 1 killer and optimal gameplay of 4 survivors is so big.
Survivors can't afford to have 1-2 weak links in their team as a decent killer will capitalise on that and snowball the whole team of that weak link. In general terms of red rank games, killer is strong as long as there is at least 1 potatoe on the survivor team.
But once you face all 4 at least decent survivors, it reverses and even if you're good meta killer with meta build, you will struggle a lot to beat them. But that's rareish, most of the time, matchmaking won't give you all 4 good solo survivors.
Good killer player is stronger as long as all 4 survivors aren't equally good as well which is the case for most matches thus the higher kill rates and general suffering that solo que can be.
-
Too many restrictions and conditions for not enough reward. Can be usefull on like 1-2 killer with a fully dedicated build around it.
So yeah, needs some work done to become a good perk overall.
-
Cool cool.
All that is needed to completely destroy that build is for 1 out of 4 survivors to take 1 totem perk or just know general totem spots. Or plain luck.
It can get boring to play vs the same thing all the time but as we know that goes for everything. It's not like 90% of survivors game don't have almost 4 DHs and BTs each time.
-
I'd say it's a very close battle between wraith and billy. Perfectly played billy would most likely be stronger then perfectly played wraith but billy is significantly harder to play perfecly then wraith is.
So in general setting of normal red rank match, wraith is stronger but if it came to peak performance billy is stronger. Also important thing to mention, wraith with some of the really strong addons trumps billy on some maps as billy's addons are kind of meh.
Trapper is inefficient slow RNG machine so he's not even a consideration.
-
DH is fine. Both sides have perks/powers that can feel BS to the other side. That doesn't necessarily mean they're badly designed, maybe fine tuning but not a rework.

So Wraith is harder to master in your opinion than looping?
Strange opinion
So is thinking that mastering any killer can be done in 10 games including all the M1 mindgames to counter good looping.
Also a strange opinion but you seem to have it. I was just giving you a responce with as much effort as you put into your first one.

Wraith is brainless, you master him after 10 games.
Yet he is extremely strong for no effort.

Kebek, pretty sure if you buff her baseline numbers people will go back to hating her again even if you do that nerf onto her.
I mean look at what they're doing to Wraith right now.
I mean, it would be only slightly-moderately under the presumption that mindgameing her would become trivialy easy. People hate her because of the dumd things her kit allows (besides her beiing just plain strong), like basically no feedback to use against her phasing.
So if we add feedback and it becomes too easy to consistently evade hits from he phasing, just make her phasing better to counterbalance if it's warranted.
I'd say it's worth a try to do literally anything and roll it back if it doesn't work insted of just letting things be as they are for years.
-
I think it can be done quite simply.
Make her husk completely disappear while phasing, each 3-6s while phasing she appears to survivors with the short half a second phase she does while normally walking.
That alone would fix a lot of the frustrations she has, if it proved too big and it'd became very easy to mindgame her phase, just buff her baseline numbers to have higher duration, speed, recovery etc after that.
-
It do be like that and I hate it. At least it's not as bad as if it was haddonfield.
-
This just proves that it's a repeating trend to complain about anything that becomes strong and popular for each side.
Wraith is just the flavor of this couple months complain posts, I can't wait to see what comes next. Soon it'll probably be "Pig is too overwhelimg, nerf her" even if no change are done to her for years (besides the nerfs ofc).
-
I'd say nurse is harder since with her you can't rely on anything from normal killer gameplay, she's got the most unique playstyle in DBD.
Blight is hard to execute perfectly but you can play him to great sucess like M1 killer with high mobility and never go for the risky rushes. Just take the safe ones that guarantee a hit and profit without much effort.
-
He never got any rework, just a couple addons were made basekit over the period of 5 years to finally make mim - a mid tier killer.
Also ever heard of flashlights or flashbangs ? And you think he's overpowered ?
Please, just learn to abuse windows against his cloak and heal a couple times per match and he's got almost nothing to pressure the whole team.
-
It's called stealth killers and you counter their lack of sound by using your eyes.
Awareness is large part of countering them, not just relying on game telling you they're coming.
-
Although I hate stupidity of my teammates, I'd get bored much faster if I just played full SWF matches for 5 years insted of solo.
The frustration is part of the fun and once in a blue moon you get 3 other good teammates and enjoy the almost SWF experience anyway.
Still, buffing solos closer to SWF level + improving the matchmaking is the only good way to balance out SWF. It's not like solos couldn't use some help, that wouldn't ruin the gameplay exprience of solo play at all imo.
-
In any scenario where he gets serious buff, it means more people will play him thus I'll face him more which will greatly upset me.
He's the one killer I pray devs change the last as I dislike facing him so very much.
-
Any time a killer that's not as difficult to play as nurse/blight etc gets buffed enough to be actually good, survivors lose their ######### and call him too strong for how easy he is to play.
There's nothing wrong with wraith, he's finally good and hopefully devs won't revert any of the good changes they made for him nor add any new drawbacks. The only thing that would be ok is to tweak some of the stronger addons but that's it.
