Looks like only you see the high ping bar on other survs, but never on yourself.
So if i would have a high ping, i wouldn't even notice it in the lobby. What a great system.
-
Pentimento builds work best on teleport killers (like Freddy and Onryo) or overall killers with (very) fast movement speed (Nurse, Blight, Billy, Oni, Wraith). Tried to make it work with Huntress, not gonna happen against good survivors as just walking to the other side of the map to set a Pentimento takes too long.
-
All you need is prestige 3 on every char so you have all perks on all survs and killers, prestige 6 if you like the look of the bloody cosmetics.
Everything else is just a waste of time spending in the bloodweb, i'm done with that.

True enough. But considering how reassurance can be useless because soloQ can be clueless and not take advantage of correct usage of the perk... Kinship is absolutely not doing anything. It has same problems as reassurance + some more. I think OP's suggestion would make sense and bring both of these perk on same-ish footing (reassurence having more targets and overall time to use on vs kinship being more selfish version that is easier to actually activate - with exception to these things making them exactly the same = provide clear information the perk is in play and allow it to be activated on both hook states).
Exatcly, Kinship def needs visual feedback added. Then i would even try Kinship + Reassurance in the same build.
-
No stable 60fps (even on "Next gen consoles"), no quallity settings, no filters, no M&K support.
-
Would be a good QoL change, esp. for solos.
The truth with Reassurance is, even when used right, most solos will farm the hooked surv 10 secs. later anyway, instead of spending the extra 30 secs. on gens. I'd say the real strenght of Reassurance is to prevent the hooked surv going into the next hook state. Works with a good team (even better with communication / SWFs), but better don't count on it solo.
-
I only know for fact that i went at least 2 times vs. OTZ. My powerstruggle Meg even made it in his weekly compilation, lol.
Most of the time i wouldn't even notice it these days, as most popular content creators use the new streamer mode.

they already said themselves that they don't include any games where a dc occurs.
No matter when the DC happens in the game? Could you give me a link to that?
-
So you guys really think they exclude games from the stats, where even just 1 surv DCs?
Or kills himself early on the hook?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they made the ingame party system specifically for this reason. All they need to do is use some kind of bracket or color coded icon marking in post game lobbies showing when people were partied up with each other. It might seem like a useless gesture to have something like this postgame, but anything that can reduce paranoia in this game is welcome imo, especially with the cheating epidemic going as long as it has.

If you see the same names paired in multiple lobbies, it kinda already gives you that info anyway. Steam users can just keep changing their names as it is, and anonymous mode options have kinda-sorta started rolling out. If anything I think most would want a feature like this just so that they can stop second guessing why their stealth killer seemed to have a harder time finding survivors than they did being found, trapper wondering why every trap got disarmed the second they were in chase, and so on. Having an answer that comms broke your core gameplay mechanics is more assuring in that it is at least a reasonable explanation.
Don't get me wrong, there's is no reason to not support such a feature. So either they don't know how to do it or it's no priority right now.
I'm suprised they actually never talked about it before, mabye they didn't even thought about it. Who knows.
-
The real reason we don't have a feature like that might be crossplay. Sure they can track if someone on Steam is playing with a friend on Steam. But when it comes to consoles? I don't see this. Very hard to track towards all plattforms. And would need Microsofts and Sonys permission aswell i asume.

Can someone who plays on console like me tell me what's the best sensitivity number to put the controller on for 360ing the killer if i choose to. I keep thinking if I mess with it then I'll screw up on generators.
Just go for 100 on both sides as 360s and "FOV tech" won't really work against good killers.
Bring Windows, learn how to loop, chain loops and hold W is way better than rely on the killer beeing bad to go for these whiffs.
-
Mabye make it so only the first DC in a match will get the penalty, and increase it.
-
I'll never get why survs do this in these "only 2 survs left situations". Working with the killer so everybody dies. This is a team based game, makes no sense. Also it's against the rules, you can report this.
If you really want to win (either through hatch or gates), don't go for the last hooked or slugged surv. If they're good, they'll understand that the killer is just waiting for that to get either you or both killed. And i wouldn't call out survs, esp. not when they were good team mates before.
Btw, do we know if aura hiding perks like Lone Survivor work on survs aswell? Guess not.
-
@Volcz said:
Maybe they're newer players and not great in chases? Some people take longer than others to learn things. Everyone learns at a different pace. Also if this is such a big issue to you and want guaranteed solid teammates every match, then get an SWF group going. Otherwise, gotta accept it as you are pugging 3 randoms.
They won't learn anything by just giving up.
-
"Escape 2 times in a row" would be a challenge in solo queue. But just escaping? C'mon guys. Run 2 team perks (like Proof + Kindred) and 2 escape perks (Clairvoryance (+Key maybe) and Lone Survivor) and you'll either escape with a good team or at your own when your team sucks. Just give it a few tries.
-
Wouldn't be a real penalty as ppl like you would just take a 30 minutes break after they ruined the game for 4 other players.
-
Playing solo queue in EU from like noon till about 16:00 pm is like night and day compared to other times.
Donno if i get matched with SWFs or just solos at my level in the afternoon. But from my exp i get the best teams in that time.
-
All i think when slugging happens these days: 'Soon this won't work anymore, just you wait.'

Dc matches don't count in those stats I quess kill rate would be closer to 70% if they did. That also lowers nurse kill rates so many dc from her.
Proof or source?
-
I wonder how these stats are effected by survs DCing and killing themselfes on first hook. Seems a lot, i guess.
-
Here's a bug and here's how to abuse it. GJ.
-
At this point an "auto-spend BPs button" would be a really nice QoL change. At least optional for each bloodweb.
-
Tunneling gens and survs is the best strat both sides can do to win as quick as possible. Thanks MMR.
-
I only say GG when i really mean it. In these cases it doesn't matter if i lost or won.
But yeah, most survs only say GG when they escaped. Def more killers say GG when they just got 0, 1 or 2 kills.
-
Clairvoyance or Sole Survivor, both can fail if:
1) There's a hatch offering which works on the map
2) Killer has No Way Out
That's why i stopped running these perks. Info and team perks are key in solo Q, esp. in times when MMR works.

That's why you implement buffs that are only active if you queue solo.
When you are playing in a SWF, those buffs / basekit features simply don't activate.
This way nobody can complain that they get punished just for playing with their friends.
That's not how it works, sadly. The game doesn't make a difference if you're playing with your friend(s) or not. Not a single surv perk works like that, everybody uses everthing. And i don't see that changing anytime soon. Good start would be, to show in the endgame screen who actually played solo and who with friends - and then balance from there. Guess even that would be hard to track when it comes to crossplay.
Also, Auras give pinpoint accurate infos. Pair this with comms or just pre-mates with all good skilllevel and... No, thanks.
-
Stop with the basekit nonsense and just bring Kindred!
Every buff for Solos is another free buff for SWFs.
-
New Prestige is like "Pirat Legend" in Sea of Thieves. In time, almost everyone will get it.

I am proof that time played and devotion level do not mean anything about how well you play.
What's the point of devotion then, btw? It's basicly just a multiplier for Shards.
And it doesn't matter how high your level is, it just shows playtime, only for yourself.
-
If they would dissable the penalties again, we would still have to deal with cheaters and even more DCs on top. So... no, bad idea.
-
In Solo Q i (need to) use Windows and Kindred in all of my builds.
I also enjoyed Inner Healing for a very long time, but Boons and now the Pentimento Meta pretty much destroyed it. :(
-
No Way Out is never a 100% win. It also depends on the map, how the gates spawned and how many stacks the killer got.
So there is still a chance you can sneak away to the other gate.

You're kidding yourself if you think Reassurance was good. Like, wow, you can get value out of it on Midwich, Gideon and RPD if you're directly above the hooked survivor.
Read again, i was talking about solo. With coordination in a good SWFs Reassurance is strong as f.
Not only the 6m radius you can use on Gideon and Midwich to make it work on 2 floors. On other maps you still can just run pass the hook, maybe get injured and activate it. If the killer follows, keep looping. If not, you have more 30secs. more for gens. Not letting the hooked surv get into struggle phase is huge. Also, it can work multiple times when your mates have the perk too. It's like "Deadlock" for survs if you think about it.
And yes, i tried it to work in solo for like 30 games. Won't help if you're mates just farm anyway.
-
Mini basekit BT, Ressuarance and soon the mini basekit Unbreakable...
Every buff to Solos so far was a free buff for SWFs on top.
-
Most survs are "wholesome" now until the killer plays tactical to win.
-
This is BHVRs job, not mine.

As many people have said, many, many times, they really do need to add basekit Kindred tho. Just remove the killer's aura. I don't see how this will make SWFs stronger but it will really help Solo.
Even without the killer aura, that would be too much information for survivors. The most important information for everyone in the most important time, when someone is on the hook? Nah, don't do that. If you want this information, just bring Kindred! I do in 90% in my builds. It's for a reason one of the best perks for solos.
-
Now it just depends WHERE you got the DS.
Most of the time you'll still make it to the closest pallet or window, unless you're in a deadzone.
-
Stop with the basekit nonsense! Solos don't need it and it makes SWFs even stronger.

Camping, slugging and tunnelling when not necessary is toxic.
I’ve witnessed camping and tunnelling from the beginning of the game, no attempt at pressuring or participating in proper game-play. Straight denial of game-play.
How is killers being toxic a result of Survivors being toxic? A player is toxic because THEY are CHOOSING to be toxic. Being face-camped on hook is more toxic than smacking or tbagging will ever be because it outright denies the player a chance at the game again. You are disengaging from all possible factors of the match, just to eliminate a player even at the beginning of the match.
Tunnelling or slugging/camping when it is necessary to secure in end game is a different matter to early game.
You never now what caliber of survs you get at the start, most of the time. So especially tunneling 1 early out is the best strat a killer can do. It's like doing the middle gen first against most killers. If a killer starts to camp/tunnel/slugg too late, they get nothin than a 2K. The gen number ingame says nothing. Even it's says still "5", 3 gens could be almost done.
Also tunneling/camping/slugging can backfire very hard, you need to know WHEN to do it.
Finding the weak link in the team is the key. And if they don't have any, good luck!
-
Toxicity comes with toxic intenstions. Just camping, tunneling, slugging or builds alone aren't toxic. That AND hitting ppl on the hook, nodding, etc. would be toxic. But without, these are just needed strats / clusterfixes to bad game game balance in higher MMR. I see no difference in survs tunneling gens and killer tunnel survs. MMR did this, it's just both sides playing their objectives as sweaty as possible. Also it's a result of survs acting toxic when they win after killers actually played fair. I'm looking at you, tbagging survs in the exit gates.
-
I wonder if BHVR already tried to take the CHEAT SELLERS sites to court. I remember Destiny 2 and Valorant did this last year, not sure how it went. But yes, this would be the most logical thing to do. As long as ppl can just google for cheats, the barrier is low to do so. Make it harder and more complicated and you'll see way less cheaters aswell.
-
Like Camaraderie, they created just another very strong perk for SWFs, most just don't understand its potential (yet).
I tried it for like 30 rounds in solo queue. But even the other survivors see the white hook aura, most of them will farm them instantly after anyway, instead of using the +30 secs on gens or healing. The only time i got usage out of it was on Midwich as it works on 2 floors. (it's like a 6m bubble)
Now i use it just for the memes on survs who are killing themselfes on the hook. :D
-
I'd say 90% of 3gens are still made by survivors mistakes, very common in solo queue.
And with 4 survs still alive it's not even a problem, just a time question.
-
Taking a break, playing with friends or switching to killer is def better than killing yourself on the hook or DC. So, thank you.
-
DBD, the only game i know whithout ingame brightness settings.
-
I'm still suprised how the most logical things for survivors (running AWAY from the killer and do gens) seems to be so hard for many. I mean, thats not even SKILL. You don't need to be a good looper. If all 4 survs just run early, do gens and use at least 10% of their brains, most of the killers would def struggle more.
-
For SWFs aswell (because how not)? What a great idea. /s
(And i say this AS as a solo, running Kindred in 90% of my games. Still, btw.)
