He is fine as he is.

Better idea: make all the survivors share 12 hook states, so that the order of hooking does not matter: to kill all 12 survivors the killer has to hook any survivors 12 times in total. There will be no point in tunneling, and the game will still be fare for killers (for those who play to play, that is, not who play to be toxic and ruin the game for other players).

Killers should be strong against 4 survivors hence the 4v1 killers being more well liked (Think blight, billy or oni)
These killers can reasonably pressure 4 survivors and can end chases quick but don’t do it in an uninteractive or unfun way
You just named killers who have the ability to move fast around the map. So every Killer should have some kind of huge speedboost/teleport ability? I think Trickster indeed should be 115%, like Plague, but that's it. Maybe his laceration decay shouldn't be so quick too. But right now he is the weakest killer the game has ever seen. His "insane 1v1" is easily countered by couching, ADAD spam or just "hugging a rock".

We just saw what happens when there's no DC penalty; matches are literally unplayable because wusses will wuss out for any reason they can invent.
Surprisingly; that happens allot less when there IS a DC penalty. Almost like it works to discourage people from being babies. 🤔
Yeah, there are less DCs with the second penalty, but you haven't counted suicides and AFKs. Not surprising, because killers tend to only see DCs, never caring about other ways survivors leave the game.
-
Just show me one example of this happening from the survivor's side and the we can talk. Right now it's a broken record of WiFi killer mains who don't want to accept any explanation and just want their ez hits through pallets back.
-
Well, no Trickster for me this week I guess... It's time to give good old campin' Bubba a shot.
-
Nerf, because if they buff him - it will probably be through the roof, and the game does not need another p2w killer. If we have to choose between completely useless Nemesis and "ez 4k no skill required" Nemesis - the former would be much more desirable.

He only got a full reworked cause everyone complained about him.
I doubt complaining did anything. It was probably dropping sales of Freddy's DLC, so they wanted to boost their profits a bit and buffed him through the roof. It worked better than expected.

Well, at least it's not RPD.
Well, at least it's not Saloon.
Well, at least it's not Midwich.
Well, at least it's not Hawkins.
Well, at least it's not The Game.
Well, at least it's not Shelter Woods.
-
Is it real? I was wondering why I am getting one The Game after another when I play Trickster.
-
As killer: 3k, 4k = win, 0k, 1k = lose, 2k = stalemate.
As survivor (individual, not as a team): escape = win, death = lose.
I have no idea why so many people care about such accidental things as emblems or bps.
-
Because not always your failure is your fault. If you get camped/tunneled - you can't win, and there is nothing you can do. If you get a bad map for your killer and lose - at least part of the blame lays on RNG. It's frustrating to lose because of something you can't influence.

Oh, I see. Youre just salty because pallet camping didn't work the way you wanted before. Gotcha.
Oh, you are just trolling then. Should've guessed, my bad.

So why is it effecting so many players at once? Are all the clients simultaneously bugged? If so that means the game is the problem.
Because many players have crappy connection? Before the patch it gave them an advantage, now they suffer. Stop playing via WiFi, respect other players.

Latency is one thing, but when you swing for a pallet and the survivor cries out, their icon turns red, then immediately reverts? Thats just not fair.
How dare we killers have a chance punish pallet campers? Put in the vacuum!
Well, if they make it so that you only see survivors screaming after the hit gets validated, people with WiFi tech will complain about "laggy screaming" in general. If you don't understand it yet, the survivor is only screaming on your screen, because you see an older picture due to the latency. And your client renders the hit effects even though the hit hasn't been validated yet. In fact you didn't hit, you were stunned before you could do it, but you just didn't see it on time due to said latency.
-
Camaraderie and Kindred should be basekit.
-
Or a flashlight. Just one flashlight is enough to remove Wraith's ability from the game.

All of a sudden, aiming is no longer a skill
With those hitboxes - not much.

Nothing. The in-game report system is a placebo. There is an urban legend saying you can be banned for insults in chat if you get reported, but not a single proof of that has ever been provided.
-
It spawns after the number of gens done is 1 more than the number of survivors left in the game. So with 4 survivors it spawns after all 5 gens are done, with 3 survivors - after 4 gens, with 2 survivors - after 3 gens.
-
I've seen a lot of killers who pretend to be farming and then just kill the survivors. So no, never trust a "farmer", just rush the gens and get out of there.
-
Why? Is it a protest against Dead Hard?

Where is E?

One occasional 4k doesn't prove anything. He is still the weakest by far. Against competent survivors who can dodge every single blade he is weaker than any M1 killer, since he is 110% and can't M1 properly.
-
Just played a game where one survivor kept looping the trickster around the shack for 5 gens. He just kept going behind corners and resetting laceration, in the same continuous chase. Oppressive indeed. He can easily be countered by crouching and AD-meta, and around walls he is weaker than any M1 killer. After this so called "buff" he is still on the bottom of the ocean.
-
He has played since the launch and he is rank 11? He must have 15000 hours in the game, he should be getting to rank 1 in 2 days after rank reset. Something is missing in this story.
-
Like the guy above me said: tunneling is ez win for the killer. Killing a survivor before the 4th gen is done is a guaranteed win for the killer. Blame BHVR for making this fundamental mistake in the game's design, not those who abuse it.

Again, on maps that have low amount of high loops, he is oppressive has hell, you CANT loop him if its a low loop, he will simply down you with nothing you can do, this is even worse on open maps like Coldwind where 80% of the map is a dead zone
At low loops: just crouch and he can't do anything. At open spaces: just press ADADADAD and he can't land a single hit with his knives.
-
A flashlight. A flashlight is the ultimate counter to the whole Wraith. One flashlight in the team, and Wraith can't use his power for the rest of the game.
-
@Zokenay said:

If you give him 115% he will be even more oppressive than he already is...
Remember he has no downtime from his power, he can immediately start building up laceration on a survivor he just injured, he needs mayor changes, not just numbers.
How can you call the weakest killer in the history of Dead by Daylight an "oppressive killer"? His power is useless anyway, because it always ends with a pallet in your face, or with losing a survivor behind a wall and instant laceration decay. He is the very definition of "weak killer" at the moment.
-
How come Plague has 115% speed, and Trickster has 110%? Huntress and slinger can get one health state with one shot, therefore it's justified for them. Trickster's blades are more like Plague's puke: you can injure with it, but you can't do it with one hit. Just give him his fair 115%!
-
Just get a good ping then and stop abusing your WiFi connection to get an advantage in the game, no?
-
They do it on purpose. Often they work in groups, ie "swf trolls". Since it's virtually impossible to get them banned in the game for griefing, you can't do much with that.
-
You probably had a high ping. The survivor could be 3 meters behind the window, but you are seeing an older picture because of the latency. Stop using WiFi and the problem should be gone.
-
@Itslat3ncy said:
The killer is camping meaning has died off. Now people just do it because their bored on the hook and that's really the only thing that they can do
Then they should not complain when competent teammates don't save them and let them die on their first hook thinking they are being camped.
-
It's still bad for survivors: you can still get hit through a pallet like before the update.
-
VPN + WiFi = killer meta
-
Considering the devs don't even gain anything from this enormous grind. I guess the grind is one of the few things BHVR never test, because their QA department always gets all new killers, perks and items in infinite amounts for the testing purposes, so they never feel the grind. This is why they don't know how bad it really is.

I play Survivor and Killer, though I admittedly play Killer more.
Unlike the complainers on this forum; I don't get upset when I'm tunneled, camped, or slugged, because I'm smart enough to know they are tools in the Killer's toolbelt to be used to win.
Try playing Killer sometimes; you'll stop complaining about how unfair life is when the Killer does not automatically stop at 3 kills, as per the Survivor's Handbook For Killers: Whiny Edition.
Unlike you, I play both killer and survivor almost equally. And when I get 3k, I don't slug, because I don't want to waste anyone's time (including my own) on these childish attempts to seem powerful and almighty. I'm here to play the game, not to assert myself.

Imagine being upset that they want to kill everyone instead of letting someone go because 'muh fee-fees!'.
Imagine thinking someone deserves to get away just because...vague Survivor entitlement.
You called the OP toxic for 'going for the 4K', that's called 'being insulting'. I know it's probably shocking to you.
Now you are imagining quite a lot of things there. I didn't call OP anything, I said locking a player for 4 extra minutes in AFK-state just to annoy them is quite toxic. Try playing survivor sometimes, you'll know what I mean.

Imagine being upset that you died. In a game where you can die.
Imagine being so entitled, you think you can shame/insult the opponent for wanting to win. Oh, you don't have too; that's what you did.
Imagine being upset with winning. Imagine saying that trying to survive is "insulting the opponent".
-
For the same reason your profile icon's perk is still not changed, I guess.

And there it is 'Be happy with the 3K', folks. Killers are toxic if they want a full win. Just cater to Survivors, put Survivor feelings first, and stop trying for a 4k, because Survivors said so!
Imagine countering "be happy with 3k" with "be happy with dying".

Same can be said for survivor greeding for the hatch when the basically lost already so they should stop hiding and just die.
You're basically saying that killer is obliged to give up on killing one person and just let them go for free while the survivor has no obligation towards the killer and is insted entiteled to their free escape.
Double standards are strong with this one.
With the hatch you have a chance to escape. It's basically your life or death is being decided by you finding that hatch: you can either win with the hatch or lose dying. It's pretty important, so no wonder survivors want to get the hatch: it decides the whole game for them. For the killer, on the other hand, the game is already won. Difference between 4k and 3k is like difference between getting 32000 bp and 31500 bp
-
@Kebek said:
No, game is progressing as one person is slowly dying. Killers is actively attempting to find the last survivor with intent to kill them and the last survivor is evading him with intent to survive.
That's basically both sides doing their best to win. Perfectly fair and within the rules.
Yeah, except the killer has already won with 3k, but he wants to be toxic and waste 4 more minutes of the survivors' time by refusing to participate in regular gameplay.
-
Oh, and he is playing on saloon. Every killer is OP on saloon, it's the most killer sided map in the entire game.

Coal Tower was like the first dbd map ever. I'm comparing RPD to other indoor maps like The Game, Hawkins, and Lery's.
And all indoor maps are trash, as we all know.
