People are crying too much about her. She's annoying, but she's not overpowered.

. . . She literally came out today.

Because we did give it time and learned how to play against her? Which actually, you really can’t. But that’s literally the point of the PTB. She has no weakness. Tracking, possibly THE best anti-loop in the game, 115% movement speed, power that can go through walls and the entire map. She was a problem in the PTB and she’s still a problem now so…
Ah yes, all 6 hours to learn how to perfectly play against her and determine her strength. . .

Lost in translation.
I'm just confused from the "You saw that someone would take your "beautiful" perk" part. What does that even mean?
-
Played 3 games as The Doctor where in the first minute or two I would snowball and manage to hit every survivor in each game, and within 20 seconds all but the one I was chasing was healed. 3 gens get done by the time I hook my first survivor (doesn't matter which killer I'm playing). Each match is basically just every survivor running meta perks, and maybe every 2 matches is a SWF sweat squad. I keep getting the same maps, The Game, Red Forest, Crotus Prenn, Backwater Swamp, finally had my first match on McMillain in over 3 weeks. Not to mention all of the bugs, between audio just not working, game stuttering every time a survivor is unhooked, auto aim just deciding it'd rather hit the air instead of the survivor directly in front of me. OVerall, I've had a fun time getting kicked in the crotch repeatedly. 10/10 would recommend.

Because killers never get changes that benefit them?
Like, this game has a lot of balance issues and what not, but still acting like BHVR doesn't care at all about one side is ridiculous.
I never said Killers don't get changes, but they never get that many good changes in one patch, it takes them years to make good changes for killers, just look at how long it took them to give Trapper more than one trap as base kit, or even fix the eye level of Blight. People wouldn't say BHVR didn't care if they actually put more effort and showed they cared. It's either they don't care or they're just incompetent, and neither choice is farfetched.

First the Nurse, the Doctor then Pyramid Head and now the Artist...
Doctor I can understand. It's only a debuff and it doesn't injure and Nurse requires actual skill.
But why on earth would you make another wall-ignoring killer? Then what's the point of chases? I can take projectiles ignoring palettes, but walls? Again?
I'm starting to think BHVR is running out of ideas.
You know what, you're right. Let's just get rid of walls entirely, make it fair for every Killer.
-
Should've known it was fake when there were multiple good balance changes towards killer. BHVR doesn't care that much about their Killer player base.

You saw that someone would take your "beautiful" perk
So don't talk nonsense, this ability needs to be given a more attractive buff.
What the ######### are you even saying?
-
Because the devs couldn't care less since it means they make more money. They do minimum effort to ensure that enough people are temporarily satisfied to continue playing the game and buying the cosmetics. As long as it doesn't directly effect their money, don't honestly don't care. Just look at how quick they'll address a simple bug on cosmetics, but won't address game bugs that players have been telling them about for months.

I don't think so. I still get use out of inner Strength and I find in certain situations it can be better then circle of healing. Inner Strength I still more time efficient then circle of healing
It's not more efficient at all, if anything it's just barely equal. Both perks require you to work on a totem for it to activate, one lets you start healing instantly while the other requires you to find a locker and stay in it for a set amount of time, both take nearly the same amount of time to fully heal. Difference is Inner Strength has a limit of 5 uses while CoH can be used multiple times and can also benefit your entire team.

I've read many horrible ideas on this forum, and this just might be one of the worst.

Just back to the game for event today. It's my 2nd match with Legion, the most healthy killer to play (less effect):
0:17 hook freeze
0:39 random freeze
1:58 freeze after frenzy off
2:50 hook freeze, weird camera angle
3:05 unhook freeze
4:39 survivor fast vault freeze
5:14 hook freeze
6:13 unhook freeze
6:23 lag spike and frames skip, PS record could not capture it
6:45 i teleported
7:34 hook freeze
7:45 unhook freeze
7:51 freeze in mid chase
8:40 rubber band after breaking pallet
11:47 hook freeze
12:12 hook freeze
This has pretty much been my experience as well. It gets annoying because it almost always happens whenever I'm in a chase, causing me to lose the survivor for a moment and giving them even more distance.

is it really that bad? I mean I had a PS4 pro when nemesis came out and yeah I remember it being pretty unplayable but after the patch I could play again. Then I got a ps5 but I don’t remember it being super terrible
It's still bad on PS4. The last 4 matches I've played have all had massive lag spikes any time a survivor goes for an unhook.
-
Blood Echo is actually pretty good on Plague. The counter to Plague is to just stay infected, so if survivors stay infected Blood Echo will always be guaranteed to work, and you won't have to worry about exhaustion perks for the next 45 seconds if you get in a chase.
-
When it comes to all time, I would have to say Metal Gear Solid 3. The amount of focus they put into tiny details such as food rotting in real time, or the game's lighting changing in a cave due to the fact that the character was in the cave for so long that his eyes adjusted to the dark. Also, Snake Eater is a masterpiece of a song. Kingdom Hearts 2, Luigi's Mansion (the original), Pokemon Ruby and Skyrim are probably some of my other favorites. These are just the few I can think of.
Edit: Borderlands 2 as well.
-
Don't rely on items then. Franklin's is a pretty useless perk if you don't have an item.
-
This just makes me think of Benjo's videos.
-
They should turn it into a system like in Smite where you commend the players and it tells you, and if your goodwill is at a high percentage by a certain date, you receive some sort of award.

Maybe let the perk work all the time? Or when someone is hurt? What could have been previously understood and thought about the sabotage of the hook
Again, that would be insanely OP. That would turn Saboteur into and extremely low risk, high reward perk for doing nothing. Survivors shouldn't get info on how to ruin the Killer's one objective for doing nothing. Saboteur isn't meant to be strong, other than the cooldown issue, Saboteur is perfectly fine the way it is.
-
Are you new? If so, there's a perk called Blood Warden that prevents you from being able to leave for 1 minute if a survivor has been hooked after exit gates are opened.
-
Originally it was because survivor was just to easy and I didn't have enough matches where I felt satisfied after winning. With Killer, it's at least more challenging and it feels satisfying when you win a match that felt like you shouldn't have had any chance of winning. I also get extra BP for playing Killer.
Now, it's because I'm ######### stupid.

I think it’s neat to show the scourge hooks as a point of counter-play. The other change I advocate for Saboteur is showing hook auras while any survivor is in the dying state, not only at the time of pickup. Way too late to make a move by then.
I disagree. I feel like while it may seem like a small change, showing hook auras while a survivor is down is enough to make the perk OP. You would be getting information to basically destroy the one real objectives Killers have simply because a survivor went down, not because they got hooked. If you really want to go for a sabotage that bad, just run empathy so you can see the exact location of the injured survivor being chased so you can stick close to them. And when they go down and get picked up, just run towards whichever hook the Killer is going towards.
-
I agree with the cooldown part, but other than that Saboteur is perfectly fine the way it is.
-
Because the Devs clearly know what's best for this game. (Sarcasm)
-
This is pretty much why I refuse to play nemesis.
-
I just main plague now. Easy counter to CoH.

i think there is some kind of system in the background that specific killers have a higher chance to get send to a spiecific map. Its just a theory of mine not a hard proven fact. but i also experience this very same behaviour. like if i play huntress 80 percent of my games are on indoor maps, demos on badham, letherfaces on the game etc.
This is what I've been theorizing as well. For certain Killers I get specific maps more often, but it's hard to prove that's the case.
-
- You don't have to loop. Another survivor can loop the killer while the others repair and complete generators. You can hide from the Killer the entire game and still complete your objective. Killers have no choice but to chase since in order to complete their objective they need to chase and down survivors. They also have to break pallets and doors to prevent survivors from re-using those loops to extend chases.
- You don't have to get 5 totems done. You only need to get as many totems done as there are hexes. If there are no hexes, totems don't need to be done. Same thing applies to Killer, except for the fact that we have to worry about the Boon going into effect multiple times. Once a hex is gone, it's gone. Except for undying which only works once.
- Until someone actually gets hooked your sole objective is to repair gens, which isn't difficult in the slightest. And if a survivor runs a killer for long enough, then you'll never really have to focus on those objectives. If a Killer is managing to get ran for that long, they're already failing their objective because they have no kills or hooks and they're allowing the other 3 survivors to finish their objective.
- Rarely ever are all 4 survivors being pressured at once. The only time that really happens is if there's a 3 gen going on. Your teammate may be getting chased, but you other 3 are perfectly fine for the time being. Meanwhile, Killers have to manage to somehow pressure 4 people at once when many of their abilities only help the in 1v1 situations. Making applying pressure to the entire team at once nearly impossible.
You either don't play Killer at all, or are just willfully ignorant.
-
A lot of the skin are just complete ######### in my opinion, I don't see the appeal in most of them. They're also overpriced. I also refuse to fund BHVRs greed by buying skins. Either I get them for free or I don't get them at all.
-
Blood Echo, specifically on Plague. It's always fun watching a survivor get cocky because they have Dead Hard, Lithe, Sprint Burst, etc. . . but don't realize they can't use it because Blood Echo made them exhausted. And since the counter to Plague is to stay injured, it pretty much guarantees that Blood Echo will have some effect. Just sucks when it's on cooldown and you don't realize, so you get hit with a Dead Hard.
-
No
-
Honestly, just fix this dogshit hit validation and I'd be 100x happier. Especially on killers like plague. I'm tired of watching my corrupt purge go straight through a survivor's body thinking they used dead hard, just to get hit with dead hard immediately after. Or hearing a survivor scream when I hit them with my vile purge just for them to not get infected.
-
Siding with killer, no. Maybe unsportsmanlike conduct or trolling if you're doing it intentionally just to prevent your teammates from using their boons.

For some reason whenever I play Demo, I will get Badham multiple times in a row.

I just assume every killer has it until I can figure out what perks they're running. I also try not to be stupid and go for saves I know I can't make while NOED is up.

Do you ever play survivor soloQ?
That's unrealistic to cleanse all totems.
There are multiple perks that make finding totems easier so you can cleanse/bless them. It is by no means unrealistic, it is 100% a you problem.
-
I run Shadow Step, Circle of Healing, Prove Thyself and Windows of Opportunity. Even though I'm playin solo I still want to be able to help my team. If anything, I swap SS and CoH for Spine Chill and Blast Mine. I also tend to have pretty decent escape rates, but my MMR definitely isn't that high so that could be why.
-
If the devs changed his power so that the survivors don't have full control over how effective his power is, then maybe more people would play as him.

I'm not gonna drag the killer to them either. Killer camping cuz I'm bait. Killer would follow
Then crawl towards the opposite direction of your teammates.
-
It depends. If most of the team DC's and there's only one player left, I'll give them hatch depending on whether or not I was able to actually play a bit. Like if I managed to 2 hook almost everyone and then some of the survivors DC, then I have no problem giving hatch since I managed to get some BP. Otherwise I still kill them.
I'll also sometimes give hatch if I've noticed that one player is actually trying while the rest of their team isn't doing ######### the entire game, or even intentionally farms them. Or if they're last and they show that they've pretty much given up, I might let them have hatch.
-
People like you are pretty much the reason why they made this change.

At this point for a killer to win, ie get a 3 or 4k, you have to play in scummy ways,
I stop reading posts like this when points like this get brought up. It's unfair to call a game unbalanced when you are following made-up rules.
A win now is basically determined on whether or not you get positive RP. For survivors to get positive RP they have to escape, which means that's a win. For killers to get positive RP they have to get a 3k or 4k, which means that's a win. A 2k is a tie, and anything is negative RP, meaning it's a loss. Whether we agree that it's a good way to determine a win doesn't matter because that's exactly how it works.
-
Damn, that's crazy. . . But don't forget, this is your last chance you buy the Stranger Things DLC before it leaves the store.
-
This would be a great idea, but knowing BHVR it's not gonna happen. Or at least it wouldn't happen for another 8 years or so. I've been noticing a lot more subtle speed hacks lately from people who will stun me with pallets and gain impossibly far distance without having that perk that gives you a speed boost when you stun a killer with a pallet (can't remember the name at the moment).

killers like scream, michael myers, the big guy with the club that looks like thanos, you cannot get away from them. theres 0 point in doing generators when they can cross the map in 5 seconds and check every generator. what me and my friends do is just wait for him to kill 3 of us and then 1 person escapes and we count it as a win. and then half of the time when its one of them, they think they are good at this game that should be fun but people take it seriously for some reason, and they have some ego about playing a broken killer, so they be friendly and waste like 10 mins of your time
As other people mentioned, Ghost Face and Myers are pretty bad, and Oni is pretty strong. The best advice I can honestly give you is to play killer. By playing killer you start to learn those killers' strengths and weaknesses. Then you bring your knowledge of those killers with you when you play survivor so you know how to counter them.

Midwich isn't bad at all.
As a survivor, no. As a Killer, absolutely. I don't mind playing on it as survivor because of the insane amount of safe pallets and windows due to breakable doors. But as killer it's such a miserable experience because the entire experience is just "Hold forward, break pallet. Hold forward, walk around room to avoid window loop, destroy breakable door to actually shorten the loop. Hold forward, another pallet. Hold forward, hit. Oh no, they gained a ridiculous amount of distance form me hitting them due to the layout of the map."

Devs, do you care about console players?
The game has gotten tremendously worse with each chapter release and I don’t think I can take it anymore with the rubber banding and freeze lags. Each year we are promised proper optimization and we get nothing but the same dry answer.
I am truly tired of the copy and paste from PTB straight to console. I am no Dev but it looks like you guys don’t do any polishing or fixes.
This game is 5 years old, FIVE YEARS! How has it manage to get worse? Aren’t things supposed to improve over time? Wasn’t Optimization supposed to happen before the PS5 and XSX? I am truly disappointed in you BHVR.
Devs don't care about their console player base except for when it comes to cosmetics.

Seems to me like this combo would put survivors in a lose-lose situation. Either do Bones and deal with the effects of Pentimento or don't do bones and get punished with NOED.
Just curious if there is something I haven't thought. Also, not saying any lose-lose combo is automatically OP or unwinnable since others already exist like running BBQ and Iron Maiden.
Simple, don't cleanse totems if you don't need to. As long as no totems are cleansed, Pentimento can't be activated. And if you have boons, use them on the hex totems to deactivate them without destroying the totem itself. Sure it takes longer, but it's a guaranteed counter. Either way, NOED doesn't activate until end game, which means pentimento would become useless if you destroy NOED because you won't be repairing any gens and that's the only effect the killer would be able to get.
Pentimento is one of those perks that sound broken on paper, but is actually going to be pretty useless or mediocre at best.

There's probably a higher chance of winning the lottery than there is of BHVR keeping their promises.
