c'mon that's a freebie, old Legion was a disaster, name something else.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, and YES! I see all my teammates running Dead Hard without No Mither and all I feel is shame, this change will help me figure out the real David mains from the fakes who only run DH.

I think it's just a joke tbh.
Yeah of course, it's still a racist joke though.

Well you see, there’s nothing Spirit will wear that will make me dislike her in any way. We’re practically husband and wife.
Alright, well you do you I guess.
-
oh.
-
It would take someone completely deprived of any intimacy of their entire life to even think of getting off to Spirit wearing a comically large pair of pants.
-
Combine Dead Hard with No-Mither, and replace Dead Hard with No-Mither 2.

On Spirt yes. Her bottom half need to shine......and no offense this is no shine.
You don't want to see her sprinting at you with an oversized pair of Levi jeans?

I'm truly sorry to say this but I think you're out of luck here, there's nothing Behavior can do here, this is a matter of warfare and Behavior are powerless to do anything.

It's Clown Time, you technically disqualified yourself, which would mean you failed and thus, must do the 10 games of perkless Clown.

Terminator Trapper is actually ######### sick.

I'm not to keen on the idea of Frank and Joey becoming femboy's, but this would be neat if it was only for Yun and Trickster.

I would be on board with most of these changes. I do not think overheat needs to be removed, but the add on changes are in line with my feelings.
Make more mini-iridescent bricks (Mothers Helpers and Belt Buckle).
Give straight up charge time back. Without conditions; without handicaps. Acceptable nerfs could include increased overheat or only active while in a chase.
Pighouse Gloves could be a weaker Engravings (but without a charge time penalty). Maybe +10%. I would also change Tuned Carberator.
Lastly, I think the Iridescents could both do with a small amount of turn speed. Half a Dad’s Boots each so he has a small amount of mobility. Otherwise the Hillbilly player is gambling that they won’t get Lerys or other maps with many collisions.
You just gave me a good idea: Remove overheat from his basekit, give him back his charge add-ons, add overheat to them, and CRANK up those values to 10 charges of overheat per second. That way you can have your ultimate back revving build, but you sacrifice his mobility.

I filed an in-game report but I was told that it likely won't result in anything on console. I'm more concerned that they were able to "mask" their perks from view and I'm wondering how common that is.
You also needed to record it, I know PlayStation and Xbox both have built in game recording, but if you're playing switch you may be out of luck.
-
That will only stop the oblivious survivors from finding your totems, I just wish they either had their auditory cue removed, or they made it more distinct from fire barrels.

This help?

The answer is simple: the other side always has the advantage whether I play killer or survivor.

Slight correction- it just does nothing, period.
You actively have to try to get your chainsaw Overheating. I did start learning Billy properly after that change went through, and unless you're holding your chainsaw up constantly or literally missing and then readying another sprint whether it's a good idea or not, you are not going to have to worry about Overheat.
It's still not good design because it does nothing, but it seriously isn't negatively impacting him.
I can tell you right now: This all depends on how you play Billy, I'm both very ambitious with the chainsaw, and also very aggressive, both of these things combined means that I have to deal with overheat far more than someone who just sprints in a straight line and back revs.

As a Billy main, remove his roar, buff most of his add ons while nerfing Lopro chains, and fix stupid hitboxes of branches and vines that realistically shouldn't be stopping him.
RRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH

Because Behavior can't make anything Silent Hill related without making it slightly strange, this way Behavior handles this IP is just odd, they do it just good enough to satisfy me, but just weird enough to also confuse me.

@jesterkind said:
Billy's major problem is his lack of good addons, and imo that his post-bump stun is way too punishing.
Overheat is nothing, I don't really care if they improve it or remove it, but taking it out won't fix anything since it's not causing him any problems.
I agree with the bump being too long, I think changing it to 3 seconds would be a nice middle ground (his old stun time was 2 seconds, now it's 4). As for overheat, I just find it annoying that I have yet another thing to stress about as killer, although it rarely affects my gameplay, it just adds unnecessary stress.
-
Possibly, the backrooms are already almost 3 years old, in a few years liminal horror is probably gonna be so big that Behavior may attempt to cash in on it.
-
You hurt his feelings :(

Do not refer to it as "naïve", mate. It is a personal and sincere opinion of mine.
And second, that is exactly why I mentioned one or two QoL adjustments would be needed. Going back to a better time, and the absolute majority agrees that Old DBD was a better time, doesn't automatically remove the possibility of fixing some of its problems.
Of course, those "problems" change depending on who you're asking. For me, there are none. For others, there are quite a few.
But you got the idea.
You said "one or two QoL adjustments would be needed" which I took as you saying that the game would be fine although a little clunky without them. Now I understand if you truly do think the game was better, but from an objective standpoint, the game has received a lot of technical, artistic, and visual improvements over the last few years. I couldn't tell you if it was the most fun on Earth, but I can research the many bugs and poor visuals that plagued the game.

@ReikoMori said:
You're equating two games that are far younger and much more engaging in every metric and has a much better play experience compared to a six year old game that in a very comfortable and uncrowded genre. Elden Ring and DBD have even less overlap than DBD does with Fortnite or Apex. We're not about to experience a sudden golden age considering unlike the other games a "golden age" scenario looks exceptionally different depending on which side of the game you prefer to play.
I'm not arguing that there's going to 100% be a massive improvement overall, I just feel with the many new titles dropping soon, Behavior may be forced to get their act together.

Objectively speaking, yes.
It is not only possible, but quite easy. We just revert everything back to how it used to be during the golden days, make one or two QoL adjustments to avoid having some of the balancing problems and voila!
The game is perfect again.
The real problem lies when we question whether or not the developers would be willing to do it.
And the answer is disappointing.
Saying the game should go back to how it was before is a naïve take, I have been playing Minecraft for about a decade now and I can safely say that while I love the older versions, playing them now feels very empty and clunky, that's what I imagine old DBD would play like now, it just wouldn't feel right without the QOL we've received over the past 3-4 years.

Dead Dawg, Midwich, Lery's, Hawki- oh wait, nevermind.

I honestly feel like this is a toxic viewpoint. The devs might already be trying their hardest. Maybe the community is impatient and not understanding.
It's very clear that the devs aren't truly giving the game their all, if this were the case then they would've hired more people and allocated more resources to making sure content actually works properly.

The DbD golden age is long gone, and doesn’t seem to ever be coming back. Unless they out of nowhere decide to revert the atmosphere of the game and make daring balance changes, and very soon.
@GeneralV said:
Our Golden Age is long gone, mate. The devs ruined everything that was even remotely connected to those good times, and are continuing to do so.
I don't doubt there is chance for a revival of the golden days, but not under the current leadership.

I can't wait for the new TCM game, Friday is still so much fun, and I personally know of a pretty tight knit community on Xbox who play Friday and will definitely try out the game.
-
Wait that's actually a good idea, just add some warning that once it's full, you can't remove it and condemnation becomes much more scary.
-
I actually like Billy's roar, they could easily fix the issue by either him only roaring when he hits someone with his chainsaw, or making it a togglable option that only the killer can hear.
I couldn't care less about his add-ons, I just use overheat add-ons to make him feel like his old self.

Which is why she still only averages out to 2K at highest levels of play possible, and even lower if you play with completely zero restrictions. Everything about her chase is the the epitome of mindgaming. Whoever makes the better read/play gets the success. Nurse makes the right read/survivor makes the wrong read, a hit happens. Vice versa and a hit is dodged. That’s as skillful as you can possibly get.
Depending on the skill level, while I disagree with people like Otz when they say killer overall isn't weak, they are right that against the average survivors, even at high MMR, they probably won't understand the minute details of Nurse.
-
I saw the word Reddit and I was instantly skeptical, this rework should only apply to COH. Shadow Step, Dark Theory, and Exponential all rely on their effect taking place over time.
-
@SuzuKR said:
Nurse is the best balanced, Blight is the second best balanced. Since there’s not really any way to be better designed than Nurse (since she ignores all mechanical limits), Blight is the closest ideal model for a killer:
Lot of diverse add-ons, basically almost no bad add-ons, a high skill ceiling that rewards mastery, very interactive and mindgame-oriented chase/anti-loop and good cross-map freeform mobility.
I disagree with Nurse, she's the only killer that makes people saying "this game is killer sided" slightly valid. Her problem is that once you learn how to ignore the fundamentals of the game, she becomes so ridiculously strong that Slowdown + the right add-ons on her is just too much. That being said I'm fine with her, I don't want this game to ever actually be balanced, just remove the ridiculously oppressive stuff like Dead Hard and old Ruin + Undying and I'm good.
-
Hag and Artist are definitely not the poster children of Balance. I'd say Billy, Oni, Blight (barring his add-ons), Bubba (barring camping), Pinhead, Pyramid Head, and Plague are all killers in a pretty good state.
-
It depends on the killer, if you're a Clown main (god bless you if you that's the case) then you're gonna go away thinking that this game is ridiculously survivor sided, if you're a Blight/Nurse main though, then you're gonna think this game is much more fair, it took me becoming semi-ok at Nurse to realize this.
