• Lets increase gate opening time to another 30 seconds, as right now, when the gens are going to fast, the killer has no chance to keep up. As there is 4 survivors and only 1 killer.

You want to escape that badly? work harder for it.

  • PoV: you just lost against leatherface.

Next time a trapper beats you, you gonna say trapper is op.

  • To me, his tail attack is a worse version from Nemesis whip. While the tail does insta injure its alot less forgiving than the whip.

And the teleportation was fun for the view hours it lasted before people started to put flamethrowers right in front of the entrances.

Xeno brought a strong af perk so anybody poured money into it only for it to be nerfed immediatly. So its no surprise to me, xeno is one of those ultra rare killers you go against.

  • My conclusion for now when we look at the poll:

Majority of people want the moris to stay the same and not get changed, while a noticable portion of players would welcome them being changed into BP multiplicators, even though its the smaller portion, its still alot of people.

But almost noone seems to actually precieve them as toxic let alone advantageous for the killer. Ofc there is exceptions as people can have diffrent opinions.

But i hope the devs take notice from this poll and maybe re-think their approach on the mori offerings. They could always leave them the way they are and still add the BP multiplications too, without removing the abillity to mori first or second or third survivor after 2 hook states. This should please 92% of the people that participated in this vote so far.

Unless a sudden flood of people that think moris are advantagous and/or toxic appears from thin air, i think its safe to say right now the planned mori offerings change is against the community favor.

  • @Levallan said:

I love being Mori'd as a survivor. It makes me feel special to the killer since they put in something they spent BP on.

Sometimes when I find out the killer has a Mori I am more inclined to be killed!

Out of context this would sound so bizarre!

    Keep the Mori!

I totaly relate to that, i also dont try as hard if i see a mori when playing survivor ^^ and you've got a nice way to viewing those.

First off, how can you quote only specific parts? i want to have this power too XD

Copy the portion of the message you want (or type it out I guess) and then highlight it. 5 icons should appear, at least they do for me on chrome, bold, italics, strikethrough, inline code, and link.

I've heard others mention that some codes (html style perhaps) can also be used, but I've never tried that.

I meant to have some respect towards veteran players when considering matchmaking, which MMR does not have.

Again this might not be what you meant, but whether you bought the game this morning, or six years ago with constant play, BHVR should be equally concerned about you.

MMR has proofen to be very faulty system in general as it punishes players for being good.

Punish is a weird word in the sense that all it is doing is trying to match players with people of equal skill level.

The last time I was playing sports it was in pickup badminton where we formed teams on the fly. Skilled players tried to match with skilled players, novices with novices, etc. I don't know how anyone would have fun if we were just matching players randomly.

Additionally, survivors need to be matched with players of roughly equal skill. Killers can easily cut out a weak link in the team.

else but also average players (like me) from pro players.

The chance of hitting a pro level team, even if you were super top MMR, is extremely small.

But the point people miss is that every player should feel like they are hitting hard players if MMR is working. Whether you are bad, average, good, great, etc. if you are hitting players that seem challenging, MMR is doing exactly what it is supposed to. Unless you were playing a bunch of custom matches against players of a known skill level and then comparing that to the people MMR gives you, its really hard to tell.

The game also has tons of random elements and luck that are usually out of player view that can make it hard to decipher why a game went the way it did.

Sacrifices and escapes dont tell a huge story.

This is something I think lots of posters on the forum get wrong.

Can you have a game where you play absolutely amazing and still die? Of course. However that is true for all the players in the pool. Across 100s, 1000s, of games those exceptions become irrelevant to the overall number. It's not a perfect system, but it doesn't need to be perfect, it's just trying to find a general place for people to be matched.
Copy the portion of the message you want (or type it out I guess) and then highlight it. 5 icons should appear, at least they do for me on chrome, bold, italics, strikethrough, inline code, and link.
Ok it seems to be my browser not working with this forum then, i dont have options after highlighting. Same reason probably why i cant edit my posts. however i'll try code, dont wonder if it looks weird, as i said i cant edit after ive posted XD
Again this might not be what you meant, but whether you bought the game this morning, or six years ago with constant play, BHVR should be equally concerned about you.
Correct. And i think rn its not entirely fair to long time players. Imo. While it does a good job for new players and should keep doing that totally. As they are the ones keeping this experience monetized, aside from cosmetic nuts like me i guess but i think majority of players dont bother with cosmetics. i might be wrong on that.
Punish is a weird word in the sense that all it is doing is trying to match players with people of equal skill level.

I mean this is true normally for PvP games, you want a challenge, otherwise you would go and play some PVE or a story game and set the dificulty to easy or something. So i get that. But this game doesnt really have an equal playing field, perks, randomness, maps, diversity in strength between the diffrent killers itself, like there is so much RNG involved its hard to see this as a comp game, usually comp games make sure anyone has equal chances no matter the situation, the ones i know at least. But just imagine you load in as trickster and huntress on any cornfield map, you'll have alot of free sight to try shots. Maybe with trickster not so mutch as with huntress. Now picture the same killers on Gideon or hawkins. Instantly you know from the start it will be a hard time. Same goes for when you have a build and a survivor happens to bring a perk entirely countering one of yours. Or lightborn against flashlights, your item is basicly useless. Yes a slot is traded, but that doesnt have anything to do with comp really, its just RNG.

So i dont see a reason for a very strict matchmaking after the low mmr pool, because with that mutch rng involved its still never equally fair even though you see people of the same skill level. But you are right about the even skilled players, in that sense mmr does a good job as my average sacrifice count is 2 and a half (however the half survivor is possible lol, probably has to do with math which is my very personal cryptonite) But generally its a 2k draw, sometimes i "win" with a 3k, i cant remember when i had less than a 2k, has been long ago, so im not really complaining but the matches are sweaty af still, with no puffer zone as relieve.. because every match is just as sweaty as the other one. Which doesnt bother me in other pvp games because the reason is actual skill of the other players and not just "oh you play huntress on Gideon meatplant? Lmao you #########" you know what i mean? XD not to say my opponents dont have skill when they can have lady luck on their side sometimes, i also got carried by my perks once, where i faced a sabo squad and was running forced hesitation and the plague perk that lets everybody scream..

Sorry this one is a bit ranty, its hard to find the correct words. Only thing i will say lastly is about the counter argument of yours when i said sacrifices and escapes dont tell the full story.

Because i have to disagree with you there, i have according to nightlight the highest killrate on Legion and second highest on Skull merchant. While i used to main legion in the past, im fairly new to playing skull merchant. But people love to just give up against those killers, giving me free sacrifices. I bet if people wouldnt give up as mutch my highest scoring killer would be someone like wesker or nemesis.

I think the game should reward hook states and actions spend on the survivor side, again i can hide all game and let my mates do the job, that way i could also climb the mmr but im going to end up in a bracket where i dont belong eventually.

That's sad really. Now that someone is experiencing the same, do you have an Easybox 805 aswell? wondering.

A friend told me with some routers these issues can happen and apparently this is one of them? I don't really know but I'll probably ask for a better one in the future :/

No im from switzerland i have a way diffrent router. And internet connection is stable so its not on my end the issiue.

It's interesting that the only people I've seen who don't want 2v8 expanded and made permanent are killer mains. Keep in mind you're a minority of the playerbase, and as a company BHVR has a duty to make the most players satisfied.

why would killer mains out of anything dont like 2v8? Its the only way you can play killer with a friend. Why would that be disliked by killer mains?

  • Are you unironicly mad they are listening to the majority? I can understand being frustrated about some decisions, had that aswell alot. But why would they listen to anybody else BUT the majority? They cant possibly please litteraly everyone.

I mean people notice. Thats why they say negative feedback about it. Not reverting it at this point is just ego. Sorry cant say it else.

That depends. I can't help them with their "hate," no. I can help them by giving them unvarnished, pragmatic truth. Map Offerings aren't going anywhere. They might as well be demanding that the DEV pay them to play the game. That has just as much chance of happening as Map Offerings going away. What I am suggesting to people who hate map offerings is that they simply learn to live with it, take steps to mitigate it, and accept that there are things in this game that we have no control over. There are lots of things I don't like in the game. I don't generally mention them here because my not liking them, doesn't mean there is anything WRONG with them. It is personal bias and I might as well keep it to myself.

I just wanted to share with you that these hand offerings are not as common what you think.

The chance of map offerings going away is null, yeah. Maybe ( a like 2% scenario maybe ) in the future the map offerings are not 100% chance when played but rather map "banns" so to say. I think that would make them a less pain in the ass for people that really hate going certain maps.. Because lets be honest, majority of people play the offerings to gain an advantage.

Like just today i tried to get my Iridiscent gatekeeper emblem challenge done, where i have to get 2 of those. So i knew i needed 0 gens popping in 9 minutes. I choose doctor with max TR static blast and had surge with me too, while also having Gideon meatplant as map offering. The survivors couldnt do anything because of the map, they couldnt hide from my shock, they couldnt do gens due to surge. I bet they hate this map now 🤷‍♂️

So yeah, if they were map banns rather than 100% (or 50 when its 2) chance that would probably solve a view issiues.

All due respect, no they are not rare. They are GREEN. I get one every couple of blood webs. I have a TON of them and I actually use them frequently. If I am a regular user of them, and I don't run out, then someone who only uses them every now and then will have some. And no, you shouldn't have to throw them in every single match. Or throw your own darn map offering in because it has just as good a chance of winning over the other map. I'm sure you have LOTS of maps.

Seriously. Learn to play ALL the maps. Then this won't be an issue for anyone. If you learn all the maps why do you care which one you are sent to, regardless of whether it is random or some other Player's fancy? If you find a map hard, you should WANT to play it more often. It is the only way you are going to overcome your limitations on it. As a Killer I used to hate getting Ormond. I started putting it in MYSELF and forcing myself to play Scratch Mirror Myers there. Now I can fight there despite the advantage to Survivor side. Instead of demanding the maps be somehow locked out as an offering, learning to play them is a better option.

I know all the maps and i dont care which map it is, some are better for certain killers, some favor survivors lol.

Good for you that you get alot of them. I play since 3 years and i have extremely low number on that specific offering, doesnt matter that they are green. And having your own map offering is a 50/50 game if there is another one.

Im indifferent to maps, i like their aesthetic design and i dont have issiues navigating on them either. Only one i despise is hawkins since it follows map layout rules that have been a thing before i started playing this game, when maps were alot more frustrating than they are now.

Suggesting hand offerings doesnt help the people that hate map offerings though.

  • @Rumplestiltskin said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/423401/can-we-get-rid-of-map-offerings-already

This is not necessary. If you wish to block Map Offerings you can ALREADY do that. Use the offering which counters all Map Offerings and you are set.

These hand offerings are extremely rare to get, let alone have them every match available.

  • Sometimes, killer players in this game want to kill. You wouldnt think this basic thing to be such a hot topic all the time.

  • @Trickstaaaaa said:

An indifferent option would have been the way. I just view it as as a part of the game.

i think option 4 would be then your cup of tea no? Because right now Mori offerings have nothing of interest for you, later they at least could become BP modificators and maybe be more interesting for you that way. All though cakes are still a better option ofc.

But yeah if that is not the case my bad, i tried to think of all view points but i myself are clearly biased so its hard to have a fitting option for everyone.

the part of it that has been paying customers for years for example.

This almost sounds like you want the game to be pay to win.

most players when they are new and actually stay in the game to gain a couple of hours are in for a very frustrating experience when they got beyond the low mmr pool.

What other situation could help this? Looser MMR or no MMR is just going to unsure a less experienced/skilled player is going to run into matches where they are out their depth.

But there are more layers, some people play for 6 years while others have around 1000 hours. Both kinds of players end up in the same lobby, how is that for a fair chance?

The six year player might not be that good, or the 1000 hour player might be great.

Also not sure how it's better if a 6 year player ends up with a 8 hour player.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3776656#Comment_3776656

And since we don’t know if a 3k and 4k is a big MMR difference or small MMR difference, killers should always slug for the 4k, because they don’t know how badly their MMR is being affected by letting the 4th person have a chance at hatch.

But why do they care? No one can see MMR, there's no reason to try and min max it. If we had public MMR people would definitely try and max out the number for bragging rights. Right now you can just play the game however you want in that situation.

First off, how can you quote only specific parts? i want to have this power too XD

And no, wanting it pay to win was not at all what i meant, thats the reason why they give nurse for free, which is good. I meant to have some respect towards veteran players when considering matchmaking, which MMR does not have. And this is not only about DBD or BHVR. MMR has proofen to be very faulty system in general as it punishes players for being good.

I heard alot of people say the old system pre MMR was better, but i wasnt around back then. I just noticed a HUGE gap between my low mmr hours and the moment i was getting out of the "play pen" so to say. It was highly frustrating experience and only later i learned about mmr and all that. In a perfect world there would be a more layered mmr which does not only divide new players from everyone else but also average players (like me) from pro players. Which currently is not the case either due to the game being very niche and not having enough players for more MMR layers.. Or its because the system is faulty in itself. Either way, people have more hard/frustrating games than enjoyable ones. And that shouldnt be.

I guess what im trying to say is; it doesnt have to be either or. Keep the safe space for new players thats important for the growth of the game. But have some more actual skill based measurements for players mmr after they left low mmr pool. Sacrifices and escapes dont tell a huge story. One can hide all match and do nothing and still get away, also people can hookicide which they tend to do more on certain killers, which also bloats the killers mmr in that moment.

  • @Peanits said:

It does have it, but I'm glad to hear it feels nice!

To quickly touch on the question at the end, pretty much any casual game (or game with a casual queue) has some form of hidden MMR. Simply put, not having MMR it totally fine if you're a really good player, but it's absolutely brutal if you're on the lower end and constantly getting matched with people who are way better than you. It's sole purpose is to keep those people apart so everyone can have a fair chance, nothing more. It's also why we don't show it to you, it's not something you should care about or stress over.

Oh but tight mmr definitly does lead to stressful matches, maybe not for new players but for the majority of the playerbase, the part of it that has been paying customers for years for example.

The hard border (softcap) also does not help, most players when they are new and actually stay in the game to gain a couple of hours are in for a very frustrating experience when they got beyond the low mmr pool. Because then suddendly they actually do face people way above their skill level and more often than not, until they learn all the micro gameplay the hard way.. Or leave dbd out of frustration.

MMR basicly is punishing for winning, as you will eventually face oponents that are tougher than you are, which is nothing bad if it happens now and then. But there is litteral loosing streaks before a player learns the same amount of in depth skills that all others in their mmr pool have. But thats not a DBD issiue in itself, MMR is generally a bad concept. Especcially when the playerbase is too small for it to properly work on top of that. Yes it divides brand new out of the whomb players from the rest.

But there are more layers, some people play for 6 years while others have around 1000 hours. Both kinds of players end up in the same lobby, how is that for a fair chance?

  • Well ive learned from PTBs that they are more marketing than anything. Even if some major complaints go out from the playerbase it still gets released and only mildly changed, rather than having it cancled completely.

For example anyone thought the haddonfield map rework just swinged the favor into the other side, where it was previously survivor sided, now its killer sided. Anyone saw it, anyone said instead of making the same mistake but mirrored, they could also just leave it. And it still got released, causing alot of frustration among players.

The only time where i witnessed a PTB not going through due to negative overall feedback was the finisher mori one… oh wait… now years later its back on the horizon to come.

So yeah i dont bother with PTB anymore, no point giving feedback that is not listened to.

  • Its not only the lack of mmr its also the lack of perks. You are not completely countered anymore just becuase someone happens to run a certain meta perk and now you are forced to run meta aswell if you want to keep up with the pace. And this counts for both sides.

  • @YulechkaLive said:

As a survivor, I like it when killers use an interesting mori on me, for example, I like Deathslinger mori

I agree whenever i see a killer has a mori offering im way more happy to die as survivor lol. A little bit of action going on rather than the old school sacrificing animation on hook.

  • @HexHuntressThighs said:

I really love Mori's and want to see more of them for each killer. Imagine if Huntress had a special mori for downing a survivor on death hook past 24 meters. That would be sick

Would be probably a little much but i like the idea. But you never know things like these are not out of possibillity.

They could sell Moris in the cosmetics aswell, just like they did with Naughty bear. Strange decision on BHVRs side to change the mori offerings when noone had an issiue with those.

At least in DnD and old folklore (where they originate from) they have been described as shorter than humans.
I think it was LotR that introduced Elves that are taller than humans (funnily enough, the German word is specifically different than the traditional word for Elves in LotR). Other modern media possibly have taken this over such as Elder Scrolls(?).

though in this very case, we should take the DnD description which afaik has always been shorter.

Ok that explains alot XD I have so far only been playing Baldurs Gate 3, thats been my introduction to DnD. Have been in roleplaying groups before (online chat, not pen & paper) but we used a diffrent galaxy far far away as our playground. So not mutch DnD knowledge from my end.

And in Baldurs gate 3, my elves are also taller than humans because of the other media you mentioned ;)

i'd guess this issue will be fixed within the next week, and this entire thread will have done nothing but make you look completely irrational... i get that you're frustrated, but i dont see the point in you even continuing this thread if you're just going to assume the worst of anyone trying to help you

The main point was to have attention and not get ignored because i wanted them to acknowledge my issiue, so i know it will be fixed.

Looking rational was not my concern. Last time i was not being as "wordy" and just simply stated my bug, i got ignored. However now i got a direct response from peanits in this thread and im just waiting on the fix.

Bro you're crazy if you think that's true. I've already said this countless times: your issues are either non-issues with easy fixes that you refuse to do, or they've already been reported.

Frankly, I'm done with you and I hope everyone else will see what an unhinged, selfish, and sad person you are. I can only hope you'll see that yourself one day, but if I had to guess, this is only the tip of the iceberg with you.

What easy fix? A checkbox that doesnt work?

again you act like I was saying i don’t believe you when I just asked you something 🙄

I did ask what type of tickets you got ignored for - bug reports/player reports/other feedback? I didn’t assume you were lying, I genuinely asked because it does interest me when the devs are doing something wrong like that.

But you are highly disingenuous and accuse the devs of things they definitely didn’t do (eg this thread, where you accuse them of predatory marketing and even proceed to do so after a dev has confirmed it’s a bug that’s only affecting a very small amount of players and you even directly said you didn’t get official response after Peanits confirmed he will forward it).
you can’t expect everyone to believe when acting like this either.

Where have i said i keep my stance about predatory marketing? After i found out it was just a bug i didnt call it that anymore, i wanted to know when its gonna be fixed after that..

And i do not remember what all the tickets was it has been 2 years ago last time i made one about this reacurring issiue. I guess it was bug reports and other feedback mixed, as no player has anything to do with dedicated servers disconnecting. That would be horrible if people could just plug your server connection. It would be abused like tricksters visual bugs not too long ago.

So no, i dont accuse them of predatory marketing no more and i alredy clarified to you specificly that i didnt know there was a diffrent bug report and thought, based on my previous experiences with this devs, i was personally silenced.

I have the EXACT same issue, and the bug report I sent last year didn't get any feedback.

What do mean by your router, is it connection related? Because my internet is otherwise very stable.

Yeah, i have made 11 tickets aswell and havent gotten any answer about this issiue. But people on here will claim its just in your head and they actually do respond. Cant win if the community itself doesnt care enough about those things.

  • @Shroompy said:

I once had a similar issue but instead it was my sensitivity and my UI scale. Turns out its because I messed around with my config file a while back to change my graphics (since back then there were A LOT less options and VSync was forced on)

Just repair game files and you should be fine.

If it was so simple do you really think i would be sitting here bothering with all of this??

Gotta love when it ends up being my fault again even though i didnt do #########.

are you talking about support tickets being ignored or reports on this forum?

Because support tickets get answered for me always and it would be very interesting to hear they actually didn’t respond? Which kind of tickets?

Also… your attitude doesn’t solve the bugs either. As evidenced in his thread 😅

Support tickets, and just because they answer to you doesnt mean im making this up, this is the kind of disingunity that makes me so mad and its not only the users its the devs aswell.

What a surprise someone that gets ignored becomes more vocal the next time they have an issiue.

Look dude, with the way you've acted in pretty much every post of yours I've seen, it's possible that you'll get banned or something. Just know that if that happens, it's on you. It's not the devs trying to silence criticism; it's them trying to get rid of a jerk on their platform.

And you just proof it, when we are reporting bugs we are considered "jerks" or whatever slur there is. If even users think like that no wonder noone is calling out when actual genuine criticism gets silenced.

to be fair, looking at your record, this is correct. (Except for you being ignored before but I guess that’s already besides the point)

It may lead to a ban however if you cross a line.

you havent seen all my "nice" tickets from the last view years that got ignored.

Because usually when you do a simple ticket they get answered in a fiew weeks but i guess at BHVR things are a little bit diffrent.

And yeah they can ban me with ease but that doesnt make the bugs go away either.

You realize your tone is part of the reason most everyone here is against you right?

And thats ok they can be against me all they want, i dont mind.

I'll take that if it means im getting actual official response that way, compared to when im "nice" and im not getting any attention to my bugs at all.

Well there's a difference between giving feedback and being cruel, especially when the things that you've been talking about aren't issues. Both this and the second bug report being closed are mole hills you've decided are mountains.

I have reasons for why im having a harsh tone. Makes sure im not getting ignored. Again.

and these are still just assumptions that are not true. From an outside POV it looks like you try to find a way to be targeted. That’s why I told you to try to not take things here personally. Especially when you just make stuff up.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3774489#Comment_3774489

it’s not an excuse if it’s true. Other games have these issues - maybe with another error message or it gets worked around better. But the issue itself can still happen and no game dev will tell you that a dedicated server will always without fail work as intended. And it’s not just one single issue - it can be caused by different things and you don’t know if some of these issues did get resolved. But especially if it happens less often now it’s safe to assume something was done, no?

and the report is still exactly what you were talking about in your closed/duplicate report. Yeah there may be another report archived (probably in PTB bug report section as those get archived quickly) - but then my point still stands - you shoudnt accuse the devs of ignoring you when your report was manually tagged as duplicate and thus being reviewed.

Well the games i played and the other games im playing aside from DBD dont have these issiues. Where you get disconnected and all your match progress is lost which is annoying af. Disconnects in general can be, very well yes.

But do you know always when i got an official response about it they claimed it was my connection causing it. So either we say its normal and it happens because of various reasons or we say its not on their end. It cannot be both. And with how fast im responding to your posts you can see my internet is not slow or having hiccups. And it didnt happen less. It would accure every now and then, randomly not too often. And then february last year it spiked horribly. (or was it this years february im not sure, either of those, you couldnt play for 10 minutes without this) Now its back to "normal", just so you have the right picture about that topic.. so i'll stop talking about this now.

An animation and a speed boost is not the same in my book, only because both bugs revolve around the chests doesnt mean they are caused by the same issiue. Also i dont know what kind of picture you have about me but i dont even know these people i dont have a personal beef going on. I wouldve reacted in an EA forum or something just the same, when i dont see any posts about it and have the "duplicate" as a tagg. Also i cant possibly know that Closed and duplicate automaticly means its being reviewed when i, again, didnt see a simillar post.

Im a very simple guy, if there is thunders and lighnting im gonna assume both is related to the very same storm.. So if i have been ignored in the past, im gonna assume the same now, with the picture that i got from my PoV. Are you their attorney or something?
