That's her Christmas outfit rather than her ugly sweater.
A bunch of survivors got a single cosmetic ugly sweater throughout the Winter events throughout the years. Claudette got hers in 2018 - you can see it here: https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Winter_Solstice_2018
-
That looks like her Ugly Sweater from the Winter Solstice event.
They made a change earlier this year where event cosmetics will be limited and return when the event happens again, so it should be back during the Winter Solstice event this December.
-
It still counts if you're using the Claire skin.
-
What vote? I feel like I've missed something - unless you mean the player satisfaction survey.
Overall though - I agree. I think most people do as well. His add-ons are currently the most egregious part of this kit. After they tone down the ones that need to be nerfed, we can see how it goes.
-
Yeah there's a bug going on currently with the randomiser challenges in the event tome where the end-game result screen doesn't show you the perks they actually have equipped.
-
Regarding that error, I found the following link - you can attempt to try the troubleshooting tips in that article. Hopefully the information here helps: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/articles/4416626040084
-
Regarding the killer swing - no, it's been normal to me. Were the servers you were in laggy?
As to the second, do you mean the entire game, or during certain situations? There are perks/add-ons that can hide the Terror Radius/Red stains. It could have been a bug but without video evidence on both situations, it's hard for me to check. Do you have any?
-
I'd call it a success yes.
I think the community was (rightly) concerned about a killer who can monitor gens after SM, and a bit weary after Knight/SM in general, but I think BHVR nailed the design for this killer. He started rough, but the general design gives them number tweaks/cogs to tweak that can make him better whilst at the same time making sure he has enough counterplay. They also addressed feedback quickly on this chapter (Map changes, killer changes).
Singularity and Toba are also unique and I appreciate getting a map that's futuristic. Is it perfect? No - but I think it's a successful chapter overall.
-
No - it shouldn't work that way. Someone else disconnecting shouldn't cause you to get any DC penalties.
Sometimes the end-game UI can display the incorrect information when a crash or similar occurs though and make it look like someone else DC'd when everyone in the lobby was disconnected from the server rather than one person.
-
You probably need to make sure the steam overlay is enabled in-game since it opens up the overlay to get to the purchasing window.
Click Steam in the top left -> Settings. Then navigate to the In-Game tab and make sure the overlay is turned on.
-
What error code are you getting when you start up?
-
Do you know the error message you get when you crash - if there is any at all?
-
People were getting an error and it was causing them to crash when they loaded into it.
-
Check your input bindings in settings - it may have unset or be in use already.
-
Yes - he is. It's an intentional part of his power.
When he's overclocked (glowing green): If you throw a pallet over his body, it'll instantly destroy and he'll become hindered.
When teleporting to a survivor who's vaulting over a pallet/throwing a pallet down he'll also instantly break it and become hindered for a period of time.
-
It seems they're doing A/B testing on this feature. Some people have this and some people don't. There doesn't appear to be a way to opt-in.
-
The only ETA we have is 'sometime later this year' from the anniversary stream.
This is completely speculative, but since new features are typically in mid-chapters, that leaves us with the Nic Cage mid-chapter and the October mid-chapter, so I'd guess it's one of those.
-
It does start to reduce the punishment for the penalties yes, but we don't know the timeframe for it, which is deliberate so people can't game the system.
-
Yes.
They turn the map repeating system off when they boost maps - and right now the community event is boosting maps and they're boosting Toba Landing. It turns back on when maps stop being boosted.
-
I think it's too early to say but I think he'll be in a much better spot but time will tell. I also don't think he needs a rework - just number tweaks to what already exists as part of his power. His core design seems fine to me.
-
He had a pretty major bug that turned him invisible when he vaulted/slammed people which happened with high frequency. It made him exceptionally unenjoyable to play against.
-
It's permanent. The 15 second duration is only applied to the things that affect the downed survivor.
-
In the anniversary stream they mentioned they're planning on doing much more frequent perk balance updates rather than one giant perk update like we got last year, so hopefully we start seeing them more frequently but in smaller batches.
-
It has been shadow buffed to make you scream yes. Unsure if it's a bug or intended and been left out of the patch notes. There's been some bug reports in the bug section so we'll have to see if it gets acknowledged.
-
It was Deathslinger's head cosmetic I believe.
-
The current ETA we have on the anti-camping update is 'later this year'.
Personally - I'd say expect it around the mid-chapter update that goes live in October but that's my own personal guess and not something BHVR have hinted at. There is no set date yet.
-
You make a very good point. Does seem like we''re days short for it. I imagine the article has outdated info and we may get two pieces for 3 of the days?
Unsure - but yes, I'm reading it that way too that we're short some days.
-
If you mean Cross Progression - unfortunately not. The last update they gave is that it's something BHVR want to do but it requires negotiations with 3rd parties that's beyond their control.
-
Is your run button (which I presume is L1?) working consistently on other games? If so, have you checked your keybinds in the DBD settings and made sure it's still correctly bound and not missing?
-
I'd absolutely be down for it. More cosmetics for the RE characters legendaries would be great, but yeah I dunno how the logistics of it would work since they're technically skins for other survivors.
I guess if they do that, it'd be the same price as buying the legendary itself, but if they ever did it, it'd be great if they could make them cheaper for those who already owned at least one of the legendaries. Seems complicated though.
-
I'm personally fine with it - I understand wanting 'exclusivity' but I think giving people the option if they hadn't played the game years ago the ability to get cosmetics is fine.
Besides - we don't know if Deep Rift cosmetics will become store bought yet (unless they've confirmed that elsewhere?) so the recolour may still be the 'exclusivity' people get.
-
I'm really looking forward to this. He was great during the presentation last night - and whilst I, personally, hope it doesn't become a 'trend' of actors being themselves in DBD, Nic Cage just 'makes sense'. I dunno why - it just does. I think it's that he's up for doing so many things.
Now I just need us to get a killer that throws bees at you.
-
Yeah very pleased to read this.
I hope this also means more granular graphical settings in the future too at some point but this is great to read regardless.
-
No - it's not an aura add-on.
When descriptions refer to 'revealing their position' - they mean you get a bubble outline notification of the survivor's location at the point in time of where they were, e.g. what happens when people scream against the Doctor.
-
It's from The Grudge 2 - specifically the American version with Sarah Michelle Geller.
-
I could probably think of quite a few but a recent one that comes to mind is Pain Resonance - it promotes spreading your hooks out across survivors, it knocks off a decent amount off a generator, and it has layers of tactical thinking to it as to whether you currently think using it is worth it or saving it for the next hook is better. I also like No Way Out for similar reasons. That's just 2 off the top of my head.
-
They do plan on being more varied in the cosmetic department for characters that don't get as much love:
From: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/375
Hopefully we see the results of this during Year 8.
-
This is devastating to hear. I echo the sentiments of others - rest easy, Puppers. My thoughts are with him and his loved ones.
-
Fragment Frenzy events are usually events where they give you 2 rift fragments for those we get with XP. That's how they've been in the past, so I would presume this is going to be the case for the Double Rift Fragments coming up.
-
It's not really something BHVR can just 'allow' - there's third party influences that make it challenging for them to implement. Here's one of their latest tweets on it.
https://twitter.com/DeadbyDaylight/status/1661056525853507596?s=20

It's a bug.
I believe they've now fixed it but if you'd like to add your own information, there's a thread on it in the bug forums here already: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/376962/pc-rift-bugged-at-tier-85-when-im-around-tier-50#latest

We don't know - they haven't said either way, but they have in the past brought back cosmetics that were limited time so never say never. I can't foresee it being anytime soon though.
-
This is fine when you consider only original content - but they bring licensed content into this game that they have to pay for and want to earn money on and they also want to attract new potential licenses. If they made Wesker available to everyone on release with all his perks and only made money via his optional cosmetic content, I doubt they're going to make anywhere as much the money they make with their current system.
Also you can be competitive with the base survivor perks in this game. Sprint Burst/Adrenaline/Prove Thyself/Unbreakable are all free perks to name 4 - they also give you Nurse which is undoubtedly one of the strongest killers without a reliance on perks to win.
Would I be against them making all their original content accessible without me having to pay for new ones? No - of course not, it's a win/win for me as a consumer, but I understand they're a business and chances are they have data on what makes them the most money out of their chapter releases.
Your system also cuts elements of progression out of the game. Some people, whether you agree with it or don't, enjoy earning and unlocking things. They want to level up that new survivor to get something new that impacts their gameplay. It's a reason for them to keep playing. Just handing everyone T3 perks the moment a chapter is out is going to turn certain players away and make them not want to continue playing.
I can totally see your concern - especially if they now start balancing perks more frequently over the next year or so and the new 'strongest' perks are locked behind paid content, so I definitely see where you're coming from, but I don't think it's a clear cut P2W issue at the moment. 'Winning' in DBD is entirely possible with the base content.
-
They haven't confirmed either way if the older legendary skins will get updated Moris but it's good to know that it's now possible for them to give killers alternative moris based on skins.
It would be great if Birkin Blight could get a unique mori as I've never felt Blight's fits him so I'd hope they do it to some of them retroactively too.
-
I've yet to try this myself, but I believe you can get that challenge completed by blinding the killer as they're in the animation of hooking a survivor - which should make this much much easier for you if you just want that challenge done alone.
As for flashlight save advice - it's honestly more about practice than add-ons to be honest with you. Add-ons aren't likely to help you out with getting the timing/aim down, it's just about practice by aiming at their face and knowing when to start the blind during the 'right' part of their pickup animation.
This gif may help you out with the timing - credit to Schinsly on twitter for this:
-
They use (unless it's changed) a company called La Fabrique De Monstres since the first Resident Evil chapter as far as I know https://www.lafabriquedemonstres.com/en/ - excluding people like Nic Cage/Bruce Campbell who represented themselves.
You'd have to be part of their roster first so their job page would be your first port of call.
-
Without video evidence this is hard to say.
The start of the break pallet animation and him pulling out his tentacle to dash are similar, so as a Wesker player you can sometimes fake the breaking pallet animation by pulling out your tentacle and this can cause some survivors to leave the loop prematurely, which allows you to follow up with a dash.
-
This isn't something I've heard of people experiencing - at least consistently. It sounds like the issue is on her end with her PC at a guess. Does she get an error when the crash occurs?
-
These two pages explains it fairly well but it's basically based on your XP per match if you don't take the challenges into account (and any xp events):
The Player Level is a progression feature introduced to Dead by Daylight with Patch 2.0.0. The Player Level represents a Player's overall progression on their account.Every Character that one plays contributes to one's Player Account Level. Experience Points or "XP" are how one levels up their account.Experience Points are obtained by playing ranked Trials.Their amount is determined after a Trial concludes according to several factors, as well as one's obtained Emblem Qualities: Time spent in ahttps://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Rift_Fragments
Since it's capped at 10 minutes (So you'll get 600xp max per match) and based on emblem quality as well, killer would be the most consistent xp per match, as you're mostly in control of how long the match lasts on average and you're always the last one in the trial PLUS it's much easier to get an Iri emblem than it is for survivors (imo). As survivor you could get tunnelled/camped early on and die.
Things to note however: As the wiki states, you get a 300xp bonus for your first match per side per day, so I'd argue it's most lucrative to do AT LEAST 1 survivor and 1 killer match per day as that'll get you 600xp flat out which is a rift fragment in itself not including the match xp and then play killer for the rest of your matches if you want the most consistent xp from that point onwards.
One final note though: If one side's queues are particularly long that is one thing to also take into consideration. For example, if it takes 5 minutes to queue into a killer match compared to 20 seconds for survivor at that point in time, it's going to be more lucrative to get the more frequent matches from a pure XP stand point even if survivor in theory earns less since you have more active match time.
-
When playing killer, we'll now know that at least the first two chases you have will not have a Dead Hard in them (assuming you don't choose to go back to the hook and tunnel).
You'll also know, if you keep track, which survivors could potentially have it or not. This is a good nerf for now - we'll see how it goes, but knowing that your first couple of chases do not have a Dead Hard in them is good for killer - as that first chase is good for creating pressure.
