No not yet - their last update is that it's still something they want to do but they haven't got any further updates at this time and to keep an eye on their socials.
-
I don't really have a 100% answer for you on this - but I'd say you're better off being safe than sorry. I don't think BHVR are going to work off of 'two wrongs make a right' and if they receive video evidence that looks like it's breaking the following game rule:
GRIEFING: INTENTIONAL GAMEPLAY ABUSE
- Working with the opposite team to gain an advantage or grief teammates
Then they may act on it. I understand your heart was in the right place, but personally, I'd be a bit careful on any gameplay that looks like you're working with a survivor on the other team to grief their team-mate.
I imagine they're unlikely to ban you temp or otherwise if you're just camping a survivor and nodding at another survivor though - camping isn't breaking the rules and presuming the other survivor wasn't deliberately keeping them in the game longer or either of you are body blocking them back, then I'd imagine you're okay.
That said, as previously mentioned it's better to be safe than sorry in other circumstances. A video of you working with a survivor and griefing their team-mate, whether they deserved it or not, is potentially something they'd ban for.
-
They're running a variety of UI tests currently that some users are getting and others aren't. You're part of the test group that has that particular UI update to generator numbers. There's no way to turn this off.
-
As has already been mentioned, you're part of a test group that can't view Prestige levels in the lobby. They're doing A/B testing on a set of features currently that some people are getting , and others aren't. You are part of the test group that can't view lobby prestige.
-
You're part of a test group that's viewing a potential change to the UI in the lobby. There's no way to turn this off if you're part of the test group.
This is good feedback, however, so I'd suggest putting it in the feedback section that you'd like (if the feature ever goes live) to be able to turn it off.
-
Glad this is something they considered - interested to see how it affects him.
-
I don't know if this means there's going to be Iron Works 1 and Iron Works 2 (for example) - or if they mean WHEN Iron Works is chosen, it just chooses a variant.
I really enjoy the Map Repeat Prevention - but I've experienced frustration with Badham the other day when I loaded into it THREE times in a row. I got Badham 4, Badham 3 and then Badham 1 (without any map offerings) - statistically mega unlikely, I'm sure, but it wasn't great.
-
According to the PlayStation store, if you purchase the DLC from it directly, you should get it:

There's no ETA or update for cross progression between consoles and PC unfortunately. Just have to keep an eye on their socials and hope for the best.
-
Although it would have been more ideal for her to launch in a place where she's enjoyable for both sides, props for them reworking/updating her this soon. Truth be told, I was expecting her rework/update to be sometime in 2024 so credit where credit is due.
I hope this update to her is a success where she's fun to play as and against.
-
Welcome to the community team! Thank you for doing the avatars, too.
-
They're running a bunch of a/b tests on users at the moment that some people are getting and some people aren't - it's not dangerous or a bug. You're just part of the test group.
-
Bots count toward the challenges/emblems/killer BP/adept as if they were a player.
As to why players disconnect - down to the individual, and there's many reasons. Could be having a bad day, could be their 7th match in a row where they're frustrated, could be anything.
-
It's not - no.
Cross Progression is currently only possible between Epic Store and Steam.

This is a temporary solution but I highly recommend you install an extension called 'Dark reader' - it's available for Firefox/Chrome and maybe others. Not only does this fix the white flash on refresh issue, it'll basically add dark mode to any other website automatically
Brilliant - thank you for this. Appreciate it.
-
Whenever I switch pages in the forum currently, there's a very brief white page that appears when loading the area you're going to, e.g. if you're on the homepage and click 'General Discussions' you'll get a flash of white and then the page loads.
This really aggravates my eyes especially when I'm frequently browsing the forum at night - I don't know if there's a workaround anyone's aware of, or if it's something that can be changed, but I'd appreciate any assistance with it.
-
I presume MintSkull is using the following as a reference from their recent Dev Q&A:
Keep in mind, Michael specifically used the word 'update' rather than rework, so I don't think this confirms he's getting an entire power rework again. An update is typically changes to their basekit/add-ons rather than a complete power rework.
Regardless - they've confirmed he is on their radar for changes.
-
Yeah you still need to provide video evidence and make a customer support ticket for cheating.
The new reporting feedback feature tells you if a report was acted on in-game, it doesn't change the reporting process itself.
Per the Game rules: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408586444308-What-actions-will-result-in-a-permanent-ban-
I'd still report a user advertising things like that in the game though, just in case.
-
Yeah I don't either - seems they've gone missing.
Probably worth making a bug report.
-
BHVR's stance on this has pretty much been 'use at your own risk'.
If EAC ban you for changing game files, then BHVR won't be able to help you.
-
If you mean your emblems, which contribute to the monthly grade - no. At least not directly.
The benefits perks can provide can make getting emblem score easier as a side result, but using your perk effectively doesn't directly give you any benefit to score/grade.
This page has a link to what contributes to your emblems:
https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Emblems
Some perks do give you bloodpoints for using them, though. Any Means Necessary, for example, gives you 500 Boldness bloodpoints for resetting a pallet. You can see score events here:

Seems it was a bug - there's a bug fix for it in today's hotfix:
- Fixed an issue where "Friendly Competition" sometimes fails to activate

I don't think there's been any official answer for this but since they collaborated and effectively licensed artists to create those collections officially, I'm going to assume that they'll remain auric cells only so those artists can continue to get paid for their work.
I know Mandy's answered that the ones Ikumi Nakamura designed will not be available for Iri Shards so I presume the same for the others.
-
This is the last License I've wanted - so I'm SO HAPPY we're getting this. I hope they got Sigourney Weaver's likeness too and voice would be icing on the cake, but I'm elated regardless.
-
I can't think of anything tbh short of the scream notification being bugged, which is possible, but it's not a current bug I'm aware of. It looks like a cheater to me - they could just be more subtle about it. The distance between the scream and the generator being completed is far too quick for them to have normally travelled.
-
Just the item - you need to combine it with Ace in the Hole if you want to keep the add-ons.

That’s what I thought, but I didn’t remember seeing the d/c. Does it happen instantaneously?
Yeah it's pretty instantaneous - there's a sound for when it happens in-game, but it's fairly subtle. There's no DC icon - the bot just instantly replaces the disconnecting survivor and the word 'BOT' is next to their name in-game like in the end-game.
-
It means a player disconnected and a bot replaced them. There's no mechanic in place for a bot to be in the game from the beginning in public matches.
-
It doesn't - it's only modified by add-ons.
-
They said in the Anniversary stream that it would be added 'sometime later this year', which is subject to change.
Considering these types of changes are usually added during mid-chapters, if I had to guess, we might see it during the October mid-chapter.
-
Huntress doesn't really need a buff - she's fine.
What you've proposed would make her way more frustrating to go against in a chase rather than incentive cross map hatchets - and would almost turn her back into insta-hatchet Tinkerer Huntress of 2017 every 60 seconds. Also having 5 seconds of Aura reading on every survivor on demand every 60 seconds is exceptionally powerful.
If a Huntress wants to do cross map snipes - they can do so now with some aura perks and practice. I don't think they need to bake in a core mechanic to encourage people to do so.
-
PlayStation network users that have had their name banned get changed to temp(xxxxxx) until they change their name to something that fits in with the rules..
If it's non-PSN users, it's possible they're playing at an internet gaming café and their accounts have 'tempxxxxx' in them but that's less likely.
-
As far as I know - none off the top of my head.
There used to be a time where perks affected the skill checks you'd get on her Jigsaw Box skill checks but they changed it a while back so they wouldn't anymore.
Only add-ons directly affect the skill checks/speed.
-
They'll take action on things that are against the game rules found here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/139-game-rules
Yours sounds like the first point in the following:
That said, an in-game report is required. So hopefully you reported them at the time?
-
They did.

I got this achievement, but it says 0/8? Which I am confused by
Yeah for some reason (either it's a translation issue that hasn't changed the name/description) you have the old description/name but the new achievement requirements. This is it in English - note it has the new icon and the '8' requirement same as yours.
Mine is showing it as 'incomplete' on the progress because I unlocked Adept Nancy on 22nd September 2019, but it's carried over the 'unlock'.
-
They seem to randomly just not unlock currently. There's a bug fix in the PTB where they've tentatively fixed it:
It might be worth waiting until the mid-chapter to do your adepts as killer - also considering people can disconnect and deny you it currently, the Disconnect Bots coming in the mid-chapter will also alleviate that issue.
The mid-chapter releases July 25th.
-
The only thing I can think of is that he got Bloodlust 1, which selected you as a valid target for the exposed effect and BHVR have accidentally made the blue outline shimmer effect showing survivors as an active target an 'aura' and it blocked it. You can see he has active invitation effects on him as he's chasing you.
Should be easy to test if two people can get in a custom game. EDIT: Ah wait, event effects aren't active in a custom game. I'll see if I can run distortion later and see if being bloodlust removes a stack.
-
No - they aren't. Unsure why yours are appearing on Steam, they don't appear there for me and I unlocked them back when Steve/Nancy were available.
They were replaced by the following achievements:
First to the Punch (Killer)
Tools of the Trade (Killer)
Expert Generalist (Survivor)
Skilled Generalist (Survivor)
-
The unique survivor(s) and unique killer ones of that respective tome do yeah. Typically about a ~year after the tome ends.
The re-colours of existing outfits do not as far as I know. I just checked and a bunch of the recolours I have aren't in the store.
-
You've basically answered this yourself - it's an inconsistency. There isn't really any clear cut definition of what a 'Killer Belonging' is when it comes to their powers or if their powers should or shouldn't be tracked.
Nemesis' Zombies can't be tracked with a map, and neither can lockers (which I presume you mean when it comes to Dredge).
You could flag these as bugs but I don't know if BHVR consider them bugs or intentional design choices.
-
Looking at all the information regarding it, they seem like permanent editions to the store rather than event cosmetics. They're tied to the End of Transmission Chapter (Singularity) rather than the Anniversary event, so I'd expect these to become available with iridescent shards in ~4 weeks.
-
Without a video it's kinda hard to determine.
I don't quite know the interaction with No Way Out if a killer opens one of the gates themselves - I don't know if it disables the perk entirely or it still activates on the other gate. I'd have to test it, but that's the only non-hacking possibility I can think of.
If the killer was actively chasing you and a gate immediately got opened with No Way out still in effect then yes, I'd say that's someone cheating but if there's a possibility that the Pig opened one gate themselves that would be a potential possibility.
-
Yup - very pleased to see this, too.
-
If I had to make a guess, it's because they want to do an overhaul of a lot of his add-ons rather than number tweaks. A lot of the changes they made to killer add-ons other than Onryo (I presume since she received core power changes) seem to be number tweaks, which are probably lower resource required compared to reworking add-ons.
That said, there are some number tweaks they could do to Blight's add-ons in the meantime to reduce his effectiveness, i.e. speed add-ons.
-
Nic Cage is coming to the live game on 25th July as per this trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yF8256JRgHk&ab_channel=IGN
PTB is 5th July.
I don't think they've announced a date for the Slipknot/Iron Maiden collabs.
-
It should be - no maps are being boosted as far as I know.
Keep in mind, it's only meant to guarantee you won't go to the same map twice in a row. It then tries to reduce the chance for subsequent maps until the odds go back to normal, but it's not guaranteed as per the following:
This new feature eliminates the possibility of playing the same map twice so long as a map Offering is not used. The same goes for any other players in your trial: If each person played a different map in their last match, none of those maps will be chosen. Furthermore, the chance for these maps to be chosen will also be reduced for the next few matches, steadily returning to their usual odds.
So whilst Garden of Joy -> Badham -> Garden of Joy -> The Game -> Garden of Joy -> Midwich -> Garden of Joy may make it feel like it's not working, it's still in the realms of possibility. That is a streak of bad luck though if that happened to you.
-
It'd be better for BHVR to come up with a system that makes people want to try out a variety of killers rather than punish people wanting to play popular killers with longer queue times and the survivor queue with longer queue times (which affects solo survivors more than a 4-man SWF). I don't know what type of system that'd be which doesn't come with negatives, but the daily system for a start could probably do with a revamp.
It goes without saying, but balance changes that make killers more appealing to play/more fun to play are also going to improve this.
-
I haven't tested it, but it shouldn't as mending Deep Wound isn't considered a healing action.
-
It doesn't - so perks like Nurse's Calling/Sloppy Butcher, etc. will NOT affect the Deep Wound recovery as it's classified as a 'Mending' action rather than a healing action.
I dunno if I can list everything off the top of my head but a healing action is:
- Self-caring from injured -> healthy.
- Healing another survivor from injured -> healthy.
- Healing another survivor from downed -> injured.
