  • Plague for me, official stats show me at 93.75% kill rate for 30 days, 84.11% all time. I've mained her for a while, know her quirks pretty well, and can actually like how games can differ based on how the survivors react (do I have corrupt all game or will this just be M1 time). I'm just sad she's not in 2v8 since I'd love to play her there too.

  • I've seen more people cheating in the past couple days than I have the rest of the year. Last killer did exactly what you had happen, multiple swings in a row with no cooldown. Seemed like a bot the way they moved kind of jerky and would swing if you were in a locker.

  • I had the same thing happen but it still showed up in my charms. It's called Bat N' Jack if that helps.

in audio settings, theres a setting called "mute focus" that will mute your game when you tab out when turned on

THANK YOU!!! One thing that should be mentioned is this only works if you are windowed fullscreen. It was initially on fullscreen and that didn't stop the noise.

  • I really hope it's a bug, that noise gives me an actual headache.

  • Having the same issue on Steam as survivor. Audio is wrong while playing with headphones, sometimes it's not in stereo, sometimes it's on the wrong side. This makes it really difficult to play the game as sound is really important.

  • Happening to me right now on Steam. Wesker hit me with his power and picked me up, he can't drop me and can only walk around while he carries me. I have crows like I'm idle but there's nothing I can do other than be carried by him.

  • Even with the buffs, I found killer to be much easier. I never got below a 3k in any killer match, but solo queue survivor is a struggle. If you know the layout of the maps to keep obstacles in your way and listen for survivors you can potentially get a gen grab or at least close enough for a hit. The killer you pick may also make a difference too, playing as survivor I had a hard time hearing some like Dracula (in vampire form), Doctor, and Bubba. They were really quiet when compared to Trapper and Legions loud breathing or Dredge running around with a vaccuum cleaner. Sound is very important in this mode for both sides.

  • I'm not a fan of where they put the cosmetics. I tried to give it time to see if it's something I would get used to it, but selecting them is really not intuitive with this interface. Even after this long I pause to remember where it's at instead of just clicking into the cosmetics screen.

  • I know I was only playing survivor in 2v8 for the bloodpoint bonus, with fast games it was a real easy way to get a ton of bloodpoints. Oh well, back to 1v4 it is for me!

  • This happens in other maps and the normal game as well. That one in particular seems to be the buggiest, I'm surprised it hasn't been kill switched.

  • It's still the solo queue experience except now you get to rage at 7 people not doing gens. I keep flipping between healer and gen jockey as one game it's people not touching gens and then the next it's people not going for hook saves. I figure it's people getting used to the mode and trying to work through the challenges.

Can we have a checkbox to bypass the mandatory chapter video too? When I double click on the DBD icon, I just want to get directly to the main menu.

This, please! I don't remember seeing the ad that's talked about here (maybe I hid it right away?), but having a loud start up movie auto play right away has annoyed me for so long!

  • A new email was sent out with a different code and that worked for me.

  • Same issue here, got the code in the newsletter but it says it's invalid when trying to redeem in game.

  • I also had this happen but not on Chaos Shuffle. It was a normal game and all of my perks were removed once I was in the game. After the game I double checked my perks and they were there on the normal perk selection screen. I had the Bloody Rewards archive challenge (get 100k bp).

  • There's an achievement tied to finishing this gen so some people are going to want to finish it for that.

  • Getting the first person hooked out of the game quickly is pretty common these days. They may have targeted you for the last second switch but it's just as likely you got the short straw that game.

  • I had this unlock as well against a Billy. I was the only Alan Wake in the game and the killer was nowhere near me. It gave me a notification of the progress when he hit a survivor with his chainsaw the first two times.

  • Sometimes you just need to practice with a killer to get a feel for them to get adept. Usually on release I find it easier to get it since survivors are getting used to the killer too. With Chucky I was having a hard time so stopped trying and played with normal perks to remove the frustration. When I felt more confident playing him I got my adept on the first try.

  • While I don't have a problem with huntress overall, I can't stand that different hum she has with the legendary skin. The sound of it gets on my nerves so much and I really dislike going against that skin.

  • Seems more luck based, but just keep feeding the ghosts so they appear in the normal game. It's probably easier as a killer since there's 4 people to run into it and you can try to direct them towards the ghosts (they show up as white). They also don't need to directly hit it, getting close will collect it. I lucked out as survivor and the killer ran into one while chasing someone. Just keep it on, get the ghosts, and eventually you should get it.

  • It doesn't seem to be as useful for killer as it does for survivor. Unless you want bloodpoints, because you can get a decent amount by messing with the event stuff. I end up using it much more as a survivor. The best I had was being camped by a nurse, I kobe, take a base bt hit, run into the void, get lucky enough to teleport out near a gate, then escape.

  • Same on Steam, I have 8 unlocked and 0 points. Restarting the game after unlocking items did not fix it.

  • This is bugged for me as well on PC. Playing Xenomorph and had 2 basement hooks but the progress says 0.

  • Blight - He has such busted addons it's not even worth the effort for the measly amount of bp you'll get out of it.

Wesker - I used to not mind him until it was just wesker after wesker after wesker games. Between that and it feels like a good number of them camp, tunnel, etc. Playing against him is exhausting lately.

Skull Merchant - Many games she'll 3 gen from the start and never leave the area. These games are just boring slogs.

Onyro - It's really just the condemned game which is such a miserable experience. Thankfully this won't be going on much longer.

  • Probably the biggest thing I miss from the old days would be the general attitude and community feeling. Back in 2016/2017 you ran across the same people pretty often and the general attitude seemed to be more positive. It was way more common for killers to give hatch for the last survivor, or have a survivor offer a kill when the killer does bad. Events ended up as a lot of farming so people could maximize blood points. I'm not saying this needs to happen every game, but with so many people treating each game like it's a comp game these days having some chill thrown in the mix helps out.

  • I'm sick of going against him, but not so much for his power. He seems to attract people who tunnel, camp, and just play in a miserable way. Win or lose, many games just end up being somewhere between annoying and frustrating due to that.

  • Looks like you can get the charm just by picking up the genmat as a survivor. Was killed after the gates were powered and it unlocked for me.

  • This used to be possible before dedicated servers. If you had 4 friends just switch your steam region to some place in the middle of nowhere, queue up at the same time and you'd get into games together. We used to do it when we had 5 people and still wanted to earn bloodpoints (the grind was waaaay more real then). It's probably good that this isn't possible anymore since it's one thing to have people on the same team be in a group, but killer and some survivors grouped up is just asking for trouble. Maybe with a full group of 5 but not with a partial group.

  • Not the hardest, but I just finished the last achievement I needed - Outbreak Breakout. That one is a pain because trying to make it to end game as a solo survivor on RPD is not easy. I just kept burning RPD offerings and used Wake Up to finally finish it off. The last game was down to me as the last survivor, killer closed the hatch, and I hid by one of the exit gates. Barely made it out of that one, but the RPD grind is finally over and I can work on restoring my sanity.

  • It's been a bit since I've run across a streamer I'd recognize, but it was much more common years ago and you could run into them game after game. The ones I remember playing with/against are OhTofu, Umbra, Ralph (when he was RalphFromTheSouth), Zubat, Angrypug, Monto and his girlfriend, EdgarAlanBro, TricksterShadow, Marth, and Paulie.

  • Are you playing on steam? If so you can View Players after a match and see everyone that was in that match who was also playing on steam.

  • Puppers has always came off as a genuinely nice guy. He also seemed to enjoy playing the game and had such a positive attitude. Nice to see them do this for him.

  • Things seem buggy since 6.3 dropped. I've had quite a few crashes when normally that's extremely rare. I also get lag only as killer where I'll start jumping around due to it being so bad. No speed issues with my internet and switching to survivor fixes it. So I wouldn't necessarily assume this is hacking and would think it's more of a buggy state of the game right now.

  • I personally haven't noticed a huge uptick in dc's, it's probably higher but still a minority of games for me. What I would be interested in is seeing how many people are throwing (afk killer, suicide on hook, etc.) now vs dcing. If someone wants to ruin a game dcing isn't the only option, it's just the quickest without the penalty in place. I don't think only looking at dc rates can tell the whole story.

  • It actually seems easy. Played a quick survivor game to check it out and just worked on gens then I could see the rift's aura. Ran over and deposited and got my cosmetic after the game. Unless you get tunneled out of a game it's not really that much effort and people shouldn't need to throw a game for it.

  • Had it crash on me playing as killer on Steam as well. Once the penalty cooldown went away I played survivor, then had 3 killers in a row DC randomly. None were doing bad so it felt really odd for them to randomly quit like that. For my issue I was Bubba on Garden of Joy. It crashed when I tried vaulting the window in the gazebo during a chase.

  • I remember 3x blood point weekend when Bloody Party Streamers were common rarity. Killers and survivors united for a weekend of love and farming.

  • I had the same thoughts while voting. I tried to go for the most even sided maps, but I'd rather it just not happen. Not looking forward to Dead Dawg after Dead Dawg again.

  • I don't think any survivor achievement is overly difficult but some are grindy or make you play differently. Looking at Power Moves, I had it unlocked 3 days after the chapter was released. It's probably one of the most relatively difficult for survivor but I wouldn't say getting it is that difficult. Killer achievements tend to be harder in general. I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to try to get Evil Incarnate these days.

  • I learned about this feature a few days ago when I took a protection hit for someone at the exit gate. I was so confused as to why the gate was blocked and for how long it would be like that so I started running away and was killed. After the game the killer told me about it so now I'm at least aware of it. Maybe even a status effect so you could see how long it's blocked for. As it is right now it's just a random set of powers that trigger it and you have no in game way of knowing why or how long it's in effect.

  • I get it about 50% or more of the time now and it's still not a fun map to play on. Between that and the tons of people playing Wesker it's just getting old already.

  • The buildings can be a pain to deal with, but you can get some easy 3 gens on that map. I found that the main building with basement tends to be the best because often times you can have two gens within eyesight of each other outside then another not far away. If you focus on that and not waste a bunch of time chasing survivors on the other side of the street then you should have a good chance of winning. Not exactly a fun experience but it's doable.

  • That button used to exist actually. I remember being really annoyed when they removed that because while a small thing was just nice to have.

  • Based on the sample size of the 4 wraiths I just faced, there is a 100% chance of camping.

  • Been a PC gamer for a long time so it's really second nature to play like that. I've actually tried playing DBD with a controller and find it to be slower and more clunky than using a KBM. Back when FPS games started showing up on consoles, I couldn't stand using a controller for things like FPS games. Over time I learned to tolerate it, but I still find it's not as good as using KBM for accuracy and even camera movement.

As far as wiggling, I've had a macro for that since I started playing. I even still have a hook macro from when you had to jam the spacebar for that. Those actions end up hurting my wrists after a while so a macro was necessary for me to play this game.

  • The environmental collision issues make playing Bubba on this level such a headache. Every time I'm on this I run into a hidden twig multiple times per game and go into a tantrum. That mixed with the main building make me just want to give up as soon as I load in.

  • I don't think it's possible. I have all killers but two and only two survivors at P3 with all perks. I'm at devotion 15 and have played this game since before that was a thing. Even if you ignore prestige it doesn't seem likely to be able to get all perks on every character.
