Flashlights will get dodged anyway, legacy will get dodged anyway. It doesn’t matter. Killers found dodging acting like it was their god given right, and get pissed when survivors do their version of it.

@thesuicidefoxLOL rebuttal I don't need to. You can counter all that, except for Doc (which I said in my post). Again read what I wrote because you are just assuming my argument otherwise.
I'm not "assuming" jack. You made invalid points for three elements of Killer detection and refused to acknowledge the rest. You claim you don't "need" to rebuke them because you have no real argument is my guess.
NC + M&A then don't heal unless you KNOW where the killer is. Also Spine Chill. You can stealth killers I do it all the time dude. It's knowing how the killer sees things, line of sight, being able to predict what perks they have. You might not always pull off the stealth but I can assure you it's all beatable.
Spine Chill tellls you when the Killer is looking in your direction. If you're healing and you see it go off, and the Killer has NC, that doesn't tell you to hide. It tells you you've just been found. The best you can do now is get a head start.
Oh and if you are too close for BBQ, the killer has NO IDEA where you are. A circle with a 40m radius is huge, I could be anywhere. If you get within range and he can't see you, then you are completely free to go where you want. I get inside BBQ range then leave. Easy.
You're SERIOUSLY underestimating the size of a 40m radius lmao.
I'm rank 1 survivor, and against good killers with BBQ if you play smart you can stealth them.
Really guys, it's not that hard to avoid.
So you're saying because you, one singular man, can be stealthy, that makes it not only feasible, but viable and easily done.
Anecdotal evidence is a logical fallacy, just so you know.
You are assuming jack, because you just dismiss everything I said. I explain to you, very clearly, how to stealth against these tactics. I do it all the time, against rank 1 killers. Once you get found though stealth isn't an option, you just run. Run until you are caught, the killer gives up, or (in many cases for myself) you actually mindgame the killer and get away legit.
Spine Chill tells you killer is looking in your direction. Nurse's has a 28m range, SC has 32m range. That means that you can tell the kill is looking at you before NC actually procs, and if you stop healing when SC procs then killer may only see you healing for a second at most. They are still 28m away which with anyone but Billy/Nurse means you have just over 6 seconds to move. Again, I do it all the time you just have to understand how SC works and react appropriately.
You obviously don't play killer if you think a circle with a RADIUS of 40m is small. Doing some math, that's over 5000 square meters. That's like trying to find someone inside the entirety of Crotus Penn Asylum's main building. If you seriously can't hide from the killer inside that range than I don't know how else to help you.
Anecdotal evidence is only a thing when you are talking very specific situations. But I do it all the time in every situation. Other people have come in here saying they can do it, how is that anecdotal? Stealth is 100% completely viable in this game. You don't even need perks, just a basic understanding of how the killer sees the world. I will flat out just walk around a rock or tree right next to the killer and they won't see me because the object is breaking line of sight. And I'm not running or injured, so the killer has no idea that I'm there.
Go play killer, learn what they can see and what they can't, and you will be able to stealth just fine. If you want to live in denial you won't ever get better at the game.
Also, you seem to like running spine chill. Well guess what, stealth should be a GOOD option without ANY perks, ALL THE TIME.

So... would you prefer to get Insidious basement camped by Leatherface?
If it’s a leatherface with insidious and you’re in the basement, BBQ won’t even come close to stopping that camp
Then he's wasting a perk slot.
Too bad that’s common. BBQ does very little to motivate not camping, except by people who would normally not camp anyway.
BBQ is used mainly for points. But still features a strong bonus
It's strong Bonus is bs and shouldn't even happen. I dont want the Dark sense buff because i dont wanna take the challenge out
Honestly, the nerf bbq needs is simple, just take off a second, make it 3 seconds of aura. It’d still give you the location, you’d have plenty of time to look around, as I can damage a gen next to a hook and still use the aura with 4 seconds. It’d go a long way to barely effect normal killers, but prevent billy from being on your ass with no chance to hide
You realize that the 4 seconds start during the hooking animation. Which means the killer has less than 3 actual seconds to look around.
Your proposal wouldn't give a killer enough time to do a 360.I really don't understand your logic.
If the killer can't see survivors, he'll assume that all survivors are close. Thus making a save rescue impossible. Since he'll camp and search close by.The whole purpose of BBQ is to give the killer a reason to leave the hook.
You realize you’re wrong, and it actually activated the second the survivor is in “hook state”, and the only reason that could happen to you is your ######### internet.

@flamestandish said:
I do agree, killers after just 1 game will know what to do with hooks and having them so close together is super annoying. I once asked in a dead by daylight live stream of wiggle could progress with how fast you press left and right. The answer they gave was quickly ushered out of the way and they moved on. I’m guessing the answer is that people can use macros to super tap the left and right keys and be off the shoulder within seconds. This is just not fun!.I did take a clip of that if anyone wants to see it.
As for the wiggle mechanic in general, it is useless unless you have a team mate (or mates) who take a hit for you. Especially during the double blood weekend when most people are using Were Gonna Live Forever which means that if they take a hit for you while the killer carries you they get a stack for that perk.
Too bad that’s not at all how it works. In fact, you make more consistent wiggle progress by doing it slow and steady, especially on console. It doesn’t detect the speed of the presses, just that you’re doing them

Yeah but in that case I could understand the nerf before the perk. This time it was a lame thing they changed and then put in a perk.
It should be a way bigger range if they want buff wiggle or wiggle effects. At least 24m

Well, killer shouldn't require Ruin to play more than 5mins at high ranks.
Also, they actually recently "fixed" the sound so you can actually hear them, after 1 year of buggy sounds. Doubt they're stepping back now, especially since the result is way better now.I agree both are problems, but as such, saying something else is wrong to rebut a problem I have is a fallacy
Except when the size of the issue is very comparable tho.

I think Exhaustion from perks that increase movement speed should slow Survivors by 10% for the same amount of time that they were sped up. This will incentivize them to use Exhaustion perks the way they should be used - to gain distance, break line of sight, and escape - and not to continue looping.Again, itd ruin all spots for balanced landing, where the only one that breaks sight is the game. Definitly a bad idea
An exception could be made for specific perks, but I think the basic idea has merit.
How about if sprint burst is the problem, nerf freakin sprint burst. If looping is a problem, nerf looping; damn!
If you don't think the idea has merit, just say so. No need to get all pissy.
Because when I do say no, they ask why.
It's almost like saying "No" without any reasoning to back it up makes you sound petty and childish or something...
Yeah, But you asked me to say just no, you catatonic memory losing flake.

Probably like how killers got hook aura buffed so they could make boil over. Or how survivors got fall stun so they could make balanced landing. This is probably for predator. General nerfs to make perks happens to survivors frequently.

Welp, survivors had the same one on PC for 6 months. They could pull out the cable, keep their equiped item and BP, while dropping their item on the ground ingame, allowing some nice duplication in the process.
See you in 6months once they'll fix that stuff for you.It doesn’t just save killer, it erases survivors progress. LITERALLY ERASES. And they said they won’t fix it

I assume nothing, even if all of them are solo players, as killer you only see a enemy team you are versing and if one of them behaves like a toxic ######### blinking at my face or using BNPs to reduce 5 min games even more, then I will act accordingly.
If you are a soloplayer you can communicate strategies before the game, thats what the 1min countdown is for, its not just there to give you the possibility to quickswitch
If a team decides to pop 2 gens before I even see a single survivor and I havent used any good stuff on my side, then I wont bother with the game and simply quit. Survivors do it regularly too and I dont see a reason why I shouldnt lol
So you have no power in this world, no will o your own to change a thing? You get hurt, so you hurt others? Be a better person, don’t be in the sad state of shambles you’re currentally in. Its not eye for an eye.
If the survivor team decides to end the game as fast as possible, then I will change my tactic accordingly and try to get some kills as fast as possible before the game ends.
If survivors are over altruistic and hover around me, then I will use that for my advantage too.
Its always funny in my eyes when a killer who uses his brain gets insulted for changing his playstyle to counter the survivors playstyle and is called out being a toxic killer trying to ruin the survivors fun. These are the moments, when I actually smile and wonder why these plebs actually bought the game to play survivor (maybe they watched ochido streams etc, but I dont know).
If people dont really use the chat anyway (I know that for a fact because I play survivor too), then I ask you why you dont simply ready up and start the game? Yeah console is a different story, but lets not talk about that here, its a different "more casual" playstyle if I am allowed to say that

DCing ain’t a playstyle.

On PS4, if you dced like that, everyone would want to rip your heart out. On that system, survivors don’t get any compensation, and they can lose file progress from the previous hour.

The reason?
Its quite simple, broken balance and no intention to provide a healthy game athmosphere when we are talking about banns etc.Lets talk about streamers for example, there is the side who doesnt give a ######### about the game and basically interacts more with the chat than they play the game, thats fine but its more like an IRL stream at that point which gets interupted by occasional skillchecks
Then there is the side that tries to play the game competively, this is where the unbalance shines through. Survivors just shitting on killers and rendering them completely useless on one side or killer mains who ######### on boosted survivors who dont actually belong to rank 1 (thanks emblem system btw)
And then there is the side who just makes money from being toxic, trying to bully killers so hard that they DC and then feeling proud about their accomplishment. As a normal gamer, after having observed a few streams in DBD, I ask you, what side do you want to participate in?
Play competitively in an absolutely broken game without ranked rewards or be a toxic shithead or derank and have fun with meme builds? No matter what you do, it will be called "tunnel/camp", "toxic survivor" or toxic deranker tring to bully noobs
Welcome to DBD

You actually get bothered by words? I play both sides, to rank 1. Currently I have about 40 double point offerings on my p3 wraith I have to burn through. The games so far haven’t been bad, if all 4 escape, I still get like 25k not counting BP bonus, in that case upwards of 100k. Usually I get 3-4 kills. Only ever losing or being bested when they are all fully decked out. Makes sense, I’m supposed to lose 50% of the time, and if requires THAT to even bring it to 10%, meh.

Have a bad day

Easy solution, dont break the game by using a BNP and the killer will play normally with you. (same with DS btw)
I doubt that the killer DCed because of the party offerings, he would benefit from the BP bonus too.
I DCed in a game with 2 bloody offerings yesterday because I accidentally selected my prestiged killer with 0 perks (sorry, but im not gonna play like that, maybe you encountered me
)@Master said:
As killer it doesnt matter who uses the BNP, as part of a 4 man survivor team you are responsible for the actions the team does. If the killer finds you first after the BNP was used, then you will pay for it, even if the BNP was used by some nea and not you^^
1) You assume they’re a 4 man SWF, and punish different survivors for other actions while not knowing, sorry, but that’s just ridiculous, and has absolutely no justice in it. Same with DCing, I don’t care how you feel about stuff, I’m a rank 1 killer, play all the time, and I NEVER EVER DC
For the first thing, clearly then you’ve just never met a malicious, or destructively stupid person then, their are many killers, who upon seeing a bunch of streamers DC right at the start.
You’ll never get change like this. Lots of people don’t really use beginning chat anyway. AND it’s not even there on console, you don’t have enough time to DM either
I have to say with that behavior, YOU ARE TOXIC, you ARE a part of the problem you hate so much

Because the Survivor meta has always been to throw in as many safety net perks as possible. Free escapes, ways to prolong chases, and so on.That is LITERALLY what perks are.

I wonder if Jordan Peterson is a killer main or survivor
Dead By Daylight does offer a look into the human psyche.
Specifically morality and consience. Ever notice people will go full suicidal, just to try to save someone? Ever seen a Killer take mercy on the Survivors when there has been disconnects? Ever seen the “token girl player” with three guy players who will throw themselves at the Killer, just to try to save her? It’s not just BM honestly.
I’ve used this to my advantage many times as Killer. Chase the girl player, the boys will drop what they are doing, and come out of the wood work. To which I simply go after and put one of the boys on the hook, then chase the girl again. Never actually go after her, I just use her as bait to get the boys to come on out.
But how do you know which one is which? And what about the token gay shirtless David? Or what if one is a (bear)trap!?

A four women SJW, I mean SWF would join his lobby and he’d surely dodge.

It’s currentally fast as hell, to prevent camping. It’s another discouraging camping perk, and it actually does it better than BBQ

So your point essentially is, if we don't camp or tunnel we won't get kills? That's pretty much the only logical extension we can make from this, aside from farming gets yoiu a lot of points.
I mean, if you are rank 18, (assuming you're playing with people of that relative rank) and you don't camp or tunnel at that rank and STILL cannot kill one perso (because yes, as unfortunate as that may be, some killers actually want to kill, and base their victory condition mostly around kills) That just shows killers should camp and tunnel if they actually want kills.
Point made.
Or maybe just like the data, their the exception. If you can’t get a kill at rank 18 normally, hate break it to you, you suck, and seriously need to work on ACTUALLY improving
Also this, the OP tried to make a point and just showed how trash they are. He probably felt super proud of the point he made til he realized that hole in his logic
Being the hole in HIS OWN logic might make him camp this thread, watch out.

Oh god, not Vietnam flashbacks?!
That moment when playing Bill turns into roleplaying

Not to mention, on PS4, if killer just closes application, and doesn’t press leave lobby, survivors get NO COMPENSATION, and lose EVERYTHING. That’s what happened with those 4 streamers. I didn’t even get a cruddy 20k points

@MineAntoiya said:
Yeah sure that's fine.
Although, I have never ever met a single killer who DCs at the start after seeing streamers. I'm now at 551 hours. I don't believe that behavior was ever a thing normally and only comes about from stupidity and ######### -ery. I won't accommodate that.
Guess when you have thousands of hours and play both sides, you’ve seen some #########

Honeslty, all aura perks on a timer should have a solid second taken out. Would go a long way

@ChesterTheMolester I agree, my second game EVER with him was a 4K with 1 gen remaining, I fell he needs tweaking, because it seems almost easy when I picked him upI thought you weren't asking for a nerf? Here's the answer...the survivors were terrible.
Billy is the most balanced killer in the game, hands down. He can be extremely powerful in the right hands and if used correctly. Those who say "he's easy to use" are usually morons.
Leave Billy and his skill house alone.
No he’s not. It just seems like that because killers in general are too weak. If the devs somehow balanced the killer mode, both nurse and billy would need a nerf. He should not move quite as fast as he does with that chainsaw
