For me, it is the same as stretched resolution. You make the game look in a way it is not supposed to look.
However, since I dont know that someone is using it, except when they stream their game (the same as stretched resolution), I dont care at all.
I'd say stretched resolution is worse and gives you more of an advantage. Especially if you're playing as survivor. I did change the brightness of my game, but it can still be hard to see survivors sometimes.
-
It's completely fine. I brighten mine as well.
-
Pallets are fine. Killers were getting hits they didn't deserve before the changes. Every killer would just swing through pallets... guess you'll just have to be more careful at pallets now. 😁🤷♂️

Nope. The person I quoted said it was annoying and irritating. Why go into threads that bother you so much? I skip threads I dislike.. 🤷♂️

I'm so tired of these threads being brought up. I don't care what the content of the thread is, it's just getting really irritating and annoying seeing it OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
Just skip threads like these if you don't like it. How hard is that to do?

I'll tell you why it's so annoying. What if you have a challenge where you have to completely use up a certain number of medkits, sabotage x number of hooks? That's what happened to me. It seems like Franklin's demise has gotten suddenly very popular and I've encountered a lot of killers using it. It sucks to load into a game with a challenge in mind and then immediately lose the item required to complete that challenge.
I mean, it's not the worst thing that can happen, but it is annoying.
Had this happen yesterday. I was furious... lol

Not really. First gen will be finished before you reach it and from there they spread.
Survivors spawning together is great for the killer. It's when they are all on separate gens you need to worry about... So what if the killer doesn't get there in time? You know where all the survivors are and it won't be so easy to get the rest of the gens done if you're a decent killer.

I get what you are saying, and yeah I am coming off as a dick, because It's exhausting having this conversation with the same small group of people on this forums multiple times weekly. With how EVERY thread turns out, (negatively) you would assume they would get the hint that majority of the player base don't want FNAF anywhere near DBD.
Yet multiple times a week you have these same people making the exact same post expecting different results, I think there's a term for that?
I wouldn't say the majority of the player base don't want it. Tons of people don't even visit the forums, reddit, twitter, etc. Just ignore these types of threads if they bother you so much.

So you're telling me this is scary. It's truly not. It literally looks like a teddy bear that a child played with all the time, causing it to become worn-out, and then dropped it behind the sofa where it stayed for too long to collect dust and hairs. Honestly, everything about FNAF was too overhyped.
And as for the horror genre statement, I never said it wasn't horror I just said that it barely was. Which I stand by. It might as well not be with it's fear factor, or lack of.
I still stand by what I said. That is way creepier than Trickster could ever be. Who cares if kids play FNAF? It's still horror and I think it would a great addition to DBD.

I am guessing you missed the question in the OP's post:
"I legitimately don’t see why people don’t think Springtrap would work in DBD. Not only does he get bonus points for his series being a pop culture icon in the horror genre, he has the rich— dare I say— dripping lore to back it up."
I never said they couldn't ask but I simply answered their question to the best of my abilities.
That last part wasn't directed at you or Huge_Bush. I just mentioned it because I see a lot of hate when FNAF is mentioned.

Read what? Springtrap and FnaF is a little kids game, no matter how much you don't want it to be. Majority of people don't want FnaF in this game, yet the same small group of FnaF fan girls keep making threads every week recycling the same topic. If you want to see Springrap, go play your little kids game. We don't want it, or need it in this game.
And? A FNAF chapter would be fine. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it shouldn't be added.

I can count the times zombies have done something to me on one hand. And most of the time, when they have, it was my own fault. And I've definitely played my fair share of games against Nemesis at this point.
Zombies aren't useless but don't act like they're amazing either.
I'd say the zombies are VERY GOOD. They can give away your location, push survivors off of gens (especially useful if you have ruin), and even infect/down you as well. Killers don't really notice that stuff because he's busy chasing and protecting gens most of the time. Zombies can get stuck sometimes, but you just have to hit them. Zombies are way more useful than people give them credit for.

I mean, they promised that they'd stop doing the smaller events and focus their resources on the two main events. I don't think making the floor slippery or teleporting lockers would take too much work. I mean, they have killers that teleport, so it isn't far fetched.
They could also reuse the mechanics in the future, or add them into the core game if they get a good response. Events would be a good time to experiment with new things that may or may not work and not get too much of a back lash.
Yeah, I remember them saying that. Don't get me wrong, I would love if they did more for the events. It just seems like they don't care in my opinion, so I can't see them putting that much work into it. Would be cool if they added some new mechanics to the core game though.
-
You just have to try to ignore them. You're just giving them what they want when you get upset. I just laugh when I read stuff like that and move on to the next game.

I love it too. It's become one of my favorite perks.

Getting burned out is a natural part of gaming and yes, it is a bit disappointing that they really didn't do much for the anniversary. I was really hoping that they'd go all out like they promised and wow us, but unfortunately, we got the bare minimum. I don't know what they're so scared to switch things up a bit and introduce new, temporary mechanics for events, such as teleporting lockers, or oil slicked floors that'll cause you to slip and slide, but I guess they're just unable to do much other than work on new chapters.
At least this game allows you to pick it up and go and when you come back, you can just resume playing again. This way, you can go play something like Civilization, take a breather, and come back refreshed.
"I don't know what they're so scared to switch things up a bit and introduce new, temporary mechanics for events, such as teleporting lockers, or oil slicked floors that'll cause you to slip and slide, but I guess they're just unable to do much other than work on new chapters."- That would be a lot of work just for an event that only lasts a couple of weeks (could cause balance issues as well) and could you imagine the amount of bugs that would bring? I'd love if they did a bit more for the anniversary events, but I just don't see it happening.
-
I had something similar happen a few weeks ago. It's best to just hide and try to do gens. Don't really know what the killer thought would happen.

This sums up the state of the game. DS/BT should be basekit. Also most survivor perks should have a requirement for them to become active. Including most Exhaustion perks.
I wouldn't mind those being basekit, but I would like for DS to work twice (after both unhooks) at the very least.

Wish I have more matches with ppl like you, cus I suck as a Killer ( rank 13/14 ) and I'm always mocked, flash lighning and teabags haha, Some surv dont even let me hit them once ... I really don't mind, but when is the other way around, I always let ppl escape when they play more awful then me hahaha
I honestly don't get why people do stuff like that to others. The only thing you can do is try to ignore it. I'm sure you'll get better! 😉

But the point is to kill, why can't I eliminate one by one instead of trying to put one, than chase another and so on ...
I personaly don't this if is still 5 gens at game, but if surv took 1 or more gens before first hook, I'll do like Jason :) aim, lock, and kill haha
That's what I'm trying to say. If it's the beginning of the game, then I consider it a jerk thing to do... especially if it's not the survivors fault they got farmed. The killer should punish the unhooker (even slug the unhooked guy if you want). It's usually pretty easy to get them. I just don't get why people reward that type of behavior. It's usually best to get multiple hooks on different survivors anyways. It's not against the rules so you guys can play however you want. This is just how I feel about it.

That build isn't fun to against, but I do enjoy going against Blight without those perks. Can't blame people for using them, tho.

Thankfully, that is only your opinion and not a fact. No, you don't have to like tunneling, but trying to insult the killer and disparage them for making the best decision for the situation reeks of entitlement. Just because you make certain decisions doesn't mean others who don't play the same as you are bad or as you call them, jerks. Some people like to play competitively, and as such, will punish survivors for mistakes.
Why down the unhooker when they can down someone who is already down a hook state? To spare your feelings? Do you walk up to a gen that is 80% done and think to yourself, oh, the killer is clearly struggling due to the large size of the map, let me leave this gen alone and go work on one that has zero progress? No, you don't. It's the same thing.
It's still being a jerk. Don't act like you know what I do. I will often times let the killer kill me if he's having a bad game. I try and not make the game miserable for other players.
-
@Huge_Bush said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2394460#Comment_2394460
It was the best choice. Why shouldn't he go for you? Complaining about tunneling is asking the devs to some way nerf it, which punishes the killer. Why not ask for a perk to where if a survivor does an unsafe rescue, you get healed instantly and your rescuer loses a health state.
It isn't a jerk move to make the best play.
I still consider it a jerk move. Especially at the beginning of the game. Why not punish the un hooker instead of rewarding him? This is exactly what I do when I play killer. You can usually down the unhooker pretty quick instead of punishing the survivor that didn't do anything and just got screwed. I'm not asking the devs to nerf things like that, but I don't have to like it either.
-
@Huge_Bush said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2394406#Comment_2394406
Then you're complaining about the wrong thing. Don't complain about tunneling, instead, complain about bad teammates performing unsafe unhooks.
I still got tunneled, so I'm gonna complain. It's not like the killer had to go after me. Why not punish the jerks instead of just ignoring them?
Edit" I can understand near the end of the game, but tunnel someone at the beginning? That is just not necessary and you should be punishing the unhooker.
-
@Huge_Bush said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2394357#Comment_2394357
That isn't a problem with tunneling. It's a problem with bad teammates. Why should the killer be punished for making the best decision in that situation?
When did I say the killer should get punished? I said I couldn't do much in that situation and not all survivors that complain about getting tunneled are bad.
-
@Huge_Bush said:
Tunneling is fine whenever the player thinks it is to their advantage. Sure, it sucks as a survivor, I hate it when I get tunneled, but the truth is, it is more of a problem with my lack of ability than it is with the killer. No one wants to admit this, but only bad or entitled players complain about tunneling.
Majority of people say that the chase and interacting with the killer is the most fun part, so naturally, tunneling shouldn't be an issue. The problem arises when people think that the killer should give them a chance to regroup, though they'd never do the same for the killer. Rather than taking responsibility for their or their teammates incapability, they usually resort to attacking the killer player for not playing in a way that they want them to play.
Also, it is mandatory to tunnel every little turd who does their best to tank a hit with Borrowed Time when it is obvious the killer is going for the unhooker.
"No one wants to admit this, but only bad or entitled players complain about tunneling"- That isn't true, at all. What if my teammate unhooks me near the killer (without BT) and he goes straight for me again? Nothing I can really do. My teammate shouldn't have unhooked me, but I'm still getting tunneled for it. This happens a lot in solo.

Hmm the way you are responding to people is not good and very defensive clearly indicates you are one of those who will stick around just to peeve off a killer and try to justify it. Just leave. If you don't get many points in a game maybe run we're gonna live forever, prove thyself and maybe small game.
I already said I hang around for extra points. It's not my fault you guys get mad. Sorry, I'm not leaving just because it hurts your feelings. I try and get as much points as possible.
Edit: No, I don't hang around to make the killer mad, that's on him. I only BM if the killer really deserved it. I already said why I stick around. Just for the extra points.
-
That's great! Didn't know. Guess that explains why I haven't seen anyone DC, lol.
-
I play on PC and a lot of those players are dumb as well.
-
@Predated said:
The only reasons you have as a survivor to stick around:
Actually giving a killer 2 hits if you're healthy.
Giving ranged killers some time to practice their shots before you leave(if they noticably had issues in their aiming capabilities for example).
Vibing with the killer if the killer wants to vibe.
Any other reason and:
- you're wasting the killers time
- you're wasting your own time
- you're making survivor queue longer
Dont stick around to be a toxic #########, you're doing more harm than good.
Some survivors (myself included) will hang around to do totems, loot chests, get WGLF stacks, heal for extra points, etc. I really don't care if killers don't like it. I try and get as much points as I possibly can.

No it's not, the killer doesn't want you sitting at the gate and letting you hit them, at that point it just feels like a taunt, unless you are going to let me hook u, don't ######### bother with that #########
People can do whatever they want as long as it isn't against the rules. It's not their fault it makes you mad, lol. Don't get so upset over a game
-
@Predated said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2392290#Comment_2392290
No, you're no longer playing a game at that point. You cannot progress anything, you cannot patrol anything, everyone is literally waiting at the line for you to come close just so they can run out before you can hit them.
It's literally the same as being facecamped. There are no objectives you can do as a killer. Sure, you can walk around, but I can open up minecraft if I want to walk around. Heck, I could speedrun the entirety of Portal before the survivors finally leave.
Besides, I am going to use the exact same logic now:
You can still try to unhook yourself when you're being facecamped, you can still press spacebar when you're being facecamped. You can just suicide on hook 5head. That still counts as playing the game.
That's not playing the game. Yes, you still play as killer. You can force them out, walk around breaking pallets, breakable walls, etc. You can still do stuff.
-
@Predated said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2392136#Comment_2392136
To be fair, that's like saying "people getting this upset over the killer standing still" after they have been facecamped 3 games in a row.
It happening isnt the issue, it's the amount of time of it happening that is. If you're in the exitgate and everyone is safe, just leave or take hits, dont wait at the end for the killer to get you out unless someone isnt safe yet. Its just sportsmanship.
It's kinda different, tho. You can't do anything at all when you're getting face camped (you literally can't play the game). You can just push them out of the game as killer. You can still play. Crouching and flashlights really shouldn't bother anyone. It's silly
-
@Mushwin said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2392131#Comment_2392131
It's obvious they do it to annoy the killer, all you see is survs at the gate, flash clicking, jumping over pallets, beckoning the killer to come etc, why else would any surv stay in the game? fair enough if someone is chased all game but one could of purely doing all the gens, point is just take what you have and go. It's hard to "push" survs out if you are been blinded or people looping and trying to take a hit, the killer wants you to go so go. It's like we all know a wraith stood invisible at a wall they wish to de pip lol but that is my opinion on the topic, I don't like it.
I already gave you a lot of good reasons why survivors stay in the game. Like I already said : Some survivors do act like jerks, but you can push them out. Not all survivors are like this.
