There wasn't really a reason BEFORE his nerf to pick him over Huntress. He's just even worse to play now rofl
-
The problem is that equal skill in this game does not mean equal output.
4 Survivors evenly skilled with 1 Killer. At low ranks this means a killer who can't mindgame, but also survivors who cant loop, or who play immersed and do nothing.
At mid skills this is probably when the game is at its most balanced, you get some survivors who play cautiously but dont do the things that actually make them strong. This is also where you see actual Killer mains playing the game. They can mindgame to some extent, they know how to play killer.
At high skills the game becomes so blatantly survivor sided that it actually stuns me that people think this game isn't like 90-10 survivor sided.
One mistake from killer usually means the loss of chase and at least a gen. Good survivors turn two health states into AT LEAST 2 minutes of chase. Even playing Nurse doesn't alleviate this problem. Depending on map you can just auto lose (the game, cowshed, disturbed ward, badham, haddonfield), or have a chance to win (every other map). There is no longer such a thing as a killer sided map. Besides Coal Mine and Azarovs Resting, there is no map that favors a killer. And even then those maps really only favor certain killers.

Funny your totem got broken in 10 secs when cleansing time is 14sec.
Let me guess, totem got broken quickly, you got mad, and you had to post this.
Some matches will have your totem well hidden some will not. Don't expect every match to be on your favor
Thats such a dumb argument lol
The point is, and always has been, that totem spawns are far too RNG. There are some that are just lol easy to find (hello corn map totems), and then some that are just way too impossible to find (hello Lerys inside the cart in an obscure corner)
A totem spawning next to a survivor, or next to a major objective is not "not in the killers favor" its just bad game design. Its not high risk high reward. That would imply you have a choice. You do not. It's roll the dice and see what your reward is.
-
low mmr this game is actually a hoot. but as soon as you understand mechanics of the game and get better its fun ratio drops as a killer player. as a survivor the game just gets easier and easier. as killer it just gets harder and harder
-
My first game of DBD was in closed beta lol
-
I mean if its gone thank god. That window was just an auto chase break, an infinite even with bloodlust 3 is just unacceptable in this game
-
I don't anymore. Survivor is just simply easier and more impactful. You can make 20 mistakes. Throw pallets with plenty of distance still, blow skillchecks on a generator. Still easily escape. Killer you overextend one chase you just lose the game. Killer you go on certain maps, you just lose the game. Killer ceased being fun some time ago for me. Plus the Deathslinger nerf making him basically unplayable. The general massive survivor sided nonsense of this game.
I only play survivor now and this game is just the easiest ######### in the world

Ignoring the fact it came from Ohtofu which means it can usually just be ignored, he's blatantly wrong.
Equal skill in this game favors survivors unless you're absolute potato.
-
Just leave? All of her perks are absolute gutter garbage. Giving a killer a secondary objective makes zero sense. Her hook perk COULD have been cool except its only on select hooks.
-
The kill rate is across all levels of play.
Low level killer/survivor games VASTLY favor killers. High skill games VASTLY favor survivors. The majority of the casual playerbase is not skilled at this game. Meaning that the kill rate is 53% due to most people in this game playing it casually and not very well. This isn't a hard concept to comprehend.

Literally had a game against Blight where the first survivor was 3-hooked (technically 4-hooked because of ds) withing the first 2 minutes of the game. Corrupt was still up. Also had several similar games against nurses and spirits during the last couple of days.
But yea, nerf survivors. Gen speed too fast. Circle of healing op...
All killer mains complaining about that while such things exist should play a Solo Q 3 vs 1 at 5 gens all day.
If you get hooked 4 times before corrupt is off you are literally trying to be hooked. Its impossible

isnt that what killers been telling us for years about noed counter? must be nice for them to take a nice taste of their own medicine.
Except doing bones actually does stop noed. Doing bones does not stop boons.
-
Where is that data?
-
The same people who think Pig needs nerfs, Deathslinger needed nerfs, redesigned the game, added boon totems to the game, thought huntress lullaby was too powerful, nerfed thrill of the hunt.
the list goes on and on and on.
-
On the ones you put "no proc" did you keep track of the ones that the killer was not running NOED?

No it's not sarcasm. If you use dead hard you suck at the game and need your little hand holdy perk. Same with people who run Ruin Undying on killers like Blight and Nurse
Ruin Undying is horrible on Nurse though. Shes terrible at forcing people off gens. She's great at chasing. Ruin Undying does next to nothing on nurse. He slowdown is based on pressure. Not on gen control.
-
The most annoying Nurse bug gameplay wise is blinking ANYWHERE near a downstairs area. Be that basement, a bottom floor in a map, or a two story map. Tapping blink can sometimes blink you straight down. You are forced to aim up.

Camping and tunneling is a result of SWF. Sadly, most things that are wrong with this game are due to SWF and the devs not taking it into consideration when building the game.
Because this game was originally built and designed around there being no SWF in the game. So many people forget SWF did not exist. And the game is blatantly balanced around that (well attempted to at least)

Plague exists. Nurse still doesn't care about boons. Insta down killer stfu on boons. What else u need?
The fact that you dont realize how powerful shadowstep + iron will is against Nurse is quite interesting.
-
Then you aren't at high mmr. Not controversial at all. No one is saying low mmr survivors are the next chuck norris.
-
Lol
-
No. Not really. With the legion of Nurse bugs in the game. Deathslinger reduced to ashes. Boon totems now in the game. Medkits surging in popularity. Massive map reworks that just blatantly favor survivors. I used to play Killer to relax, now I play survivor to relax from having to try hard in my killer games. Survivor is an absolute joke in difficulty
-
No. For the thousandth time no. You don't make games better by removing cool things you can do. Intended or not. 90% of the cool mechanics in games nowadays are the result of people doing an unintended mechanic that actually works really well. The ENTIRE fps genre is currently built on a movement that was an unintended mechanic.

So you didn't see my other post where I just described such an example? Rough, man.
Also, with your 4k hours, you may be doing things you don't even think about that haven't dawned on OP yet. Again, I get that they're strong and they need some tweaking, but they're not broken. Broken is a very strong description for when something is completely unmanageable and Boons are not.
You mean your terrible example of one of the survivors not running a meta perk? Yeah lol. I saw it. That isn't the argument you think it is. If a perk is strong enough to replace the already obscenely strong survivor meta perks then that means that perk is also obscenely strong.
-
Circle of healing should just be removed. Its concept is brokenly overpowered, allowing anyone in its radius to self care at medkit speeds without a medkit an infinite number of times is just mindblowingly unacceptable. I really don't understand how anyone thought this was an okay perk. Solo Queue its a pretty meh perk. SWF its a literal god tier perk that should never leave the perk slot.
Shadowstep is a much cooler idea that once again should just be removed. No scratch marks at killer shack, or no scratch marks at L Pallet walls, you might as well just not chase.

You haven't hit your first devotion yet. They're certainly annoying but you have a lot more of playing to do before you start realizing the subtle ways you can handle them more effectively.
This is a horrid post rofl. I'm 4k hours into this game and Boons are new. There aren't subtle ways to handle boon totems more effectively. You either allow them to happen, or you chase the boon location and lose the game. It's that simple.
-
Every killer in the game needs a buff. Or massive map reworks need to happen. As is no killer can compete with good survivors on some maps.
-
its 100% intentional. It artificially inflates the amount of time you HAVE to play this game to unlock the things that are already in the game.
It's to force you to play the game to allow you to keep playing the game. Everything about this game is designed around playtime.

I am pretty sure they have, but very few times. Usually they make bad changes and just leave them in the game for years.
this is the most accurate post in this forums history
-
Not for nothing. But its Per se. Not per say. I only mention it because this is like the third thread on the front page with someone using per se as per say, and also not using per se correctly lol
-
Killer really is just not fun anymore. I try and enjoy it, but if you dont sweat hard and run absolute meta builds, you simply lose. CoH removes your ability to have macro pressure. Ironically enough Trapper has become one of my favored killers due to him largely ignoring the CoH bullshit

Yes bhvr will totally rework mechanics just to buff an already good perk. Completely realistic.
Must be new to this game

@Kebek said:
Imo both stayed relative strong killers even with the terrible changes but if I had to pick one it'd be deathslinger.
Billy got a cooldown which mainly limits how often he can use his power but the other then that, the power is unchanged. He mainly lost his charge addons
Slinger on the other hand, can't do tight around corners shots as well as before, tiny holes shots not at all, is far more clunky and less responsive, even the most oblivious surivors now get notification to "wiggle now and hope he misses" and to top it off has 32m TR while beiing 110% no mobility killer with several other cooldowns on his power.
Even with all that, his chase is still really strong so he can survive it but honestly, who would bother getting good with him when you can chose from higher tier killers who are about as good in chase if not better and have mobility powers or other stuff.
Did you just call Slinger a relatively strong killer, proceed to list his GLARING weaknesses, then say those weaknesses arent a big deal? He was a barely middle of the road killer BEFORE those gigantic nerfs to him.
-
Slinger. He's bottom 2 with Legion now. It's actually just terrible. Billy at least has an instadown and some mobility. That alone keeps him out of bottom tier. Slinger is a 110 killer with a ranged attack that is barely an attack anymore with a giant terror radius.

Dead Hard wasn't buffed all they did was put it on server side when determining hit validation......like with pallets....and like with the hit validation bug on pallets Dead Hard has the same bug that they wont remove because the Devs think that's how it should work.
A killer hears a scream and sees blood they will naturally stop and look for a body to pick up giving that survivor time to run and hide...so with Shadowstep in play it means the killer loses the trail altogether.
Fixing a bug that increases the usefulness of something is still a buff. It can be both.
-
Sluzzy wannabe. Terrible post.
-
Blame BHVR. Killers are nerfed in power for no reason (wraith/slinger/pig etc etc) Survivors keep getting put into the game with powercrept perks. Maps keep getting reworked or introduced that blatantly favor survivors. MMR is in the game now which favors survivors more and more and more as the higher mmr it goes.
Don't blame killers. We're workin with what we got.
-
Its hag and its not even close. Bubba has to literally stay in the basement to have basement pressure. Hag can patrol while still having complete basement control with as little as 3 traps.

If 1 person dc's right at the beginning and 2 people brought bloodpointofferings for everyone, maybe consider not tunneling, camping and slugging people. With 0 gens done, ruin up, on a map (midvich) that you decided to go to. With you having good perks and add ons, when those survivors don't even bring 1 meta perk.
For those about to complain: No I don't expect someone to farm, I don't want to farm. BUT one can play differently in a 3 vs 1. Be respectful, don't tunnel/camp. Give survivors at least a chance to get some points. Just behave like a feeling, empathic human being, it's all I ask (if that isn't true for you, just play as if you posessed those qualities, like an actor).
Tbh I wish the devs would punish tunneling and camping in 3 vs 1's when bp offerings were brought. Like there is NO acceptable reason to play that disgustingly selfish if you are already having an advantage.
Rofl. A survivor almost has to DC for a killer to win on Midwich unless it's Nurse.
-
by that logic at least 80% of the perks in this game should be removed

fair enough, i still think just regressing to 80% will suffice
the numbers could be tweaked for sure but the main point is that regression should be a thing
-
You have VASTLY overrated Nemesis's power lol
-
Imo it should have regression checkpoints 25%, 50%, 75%, opened. If you 99 it, it moves the gate back down to 75%

Can't believe a bunch of DBD players cant read this sentence. Lets all go to english class today kids
Yellow Medkit. Subject. Yellow medkit has 24 charges. It takes 16 charges to heal a full health state.
with 8 charge addon. 8 charge addon is the yellow addon that adds 8 charges. Bringing the total to 32. Two full health states
99s a second heal. The second heal is 99'd, as in 99ing an exit door.
Done 3 times now. I did it 3 times.
