  • Yea OK I did but you coulda easily worded this better. 😜

"I honestly hate Exclusivity in gaming"

In which I agree with. Exclusivity is B. S.

  • @adam1233467 said:

Omg I hate X console exclusive things.

hmmm, but you'd be fine if it was PC or ps exclusive? 🤔

  • Funnily enough, most believe getting Hatch is a win, which it's not. They failed their main objective. To finish generators and power the gates to then escape.

While it's fine to me the last survivor gets Hatch. To Me, it should be the lowest BP ever (if not nonexistent BP achieved) ((but I don't much pay attention to how much a Hatch Escape actually gets earned anyways))

It's just funny how some get so cocky they escaped through Hatch as if it's a win.

All that said. In agreement, Hook Suicides also should negatively minus their BP. If the Entity wasn't given enough pleasures to slowly kill them on hook. She should eat at their BP for effortly wasting attempts of 4%ing.

You find it annoying when killer dcs? I thought that was a universal “haha- i made them dc moment”.. and i dont really even mind them dcing, still a escape for me.

and 2v8 showed the killer dcing and being replaced with a bot is still fun if not the same experience- without the tunneling and camping.Lol

That's the thing though, isn't it. In 2v8 if one only killer DCing, the rest is given a Bot. But that doesn't go for DCing in main mode. Once a Killer DCs game is over.

Once the game gets going, any time a Survivor DCs they given a Bot. And to be fair, that Bot is given hacks that makes it seem much of a better player than the player IRL. And if a Survivor DCing at the loading screen before game even starts, everyone is halted by a wasted waited lot of time for a trial to begin again. (Which I believe will be fixed soon, but idk)

If you go against a Bot because of DCers. What then will the fun be if these bots have Hacks that make the trial 10x harder than going against a real person?

  • Being Prestige anything doesn't factor in any way based in skill levels. You can go through all assorted playstyles of goofball to sweaty pro'gamer Faze wannabes. And yes, your mmr can be dumbed down by how intentionally you play. Because the game won't understand Gaming Sarcasm.

When you tunnel/camp/slug or tbag spam/flashlight click spam back they rage massively in endgame chat? Do you think it's deserved? Do you think they're in the right or wrong? Do you feel you're in the right or wrong? Just curious how the community feels about this.

Example 1: Person tbags after every pallet and vault. If you try to leave them they run after you and spam flashlight clicks. They make a bad play and you down them then tunnel them out. They rage at how toxic you are in the endgame chat to tunnel them out and how bad of a player you are.\

Example 2: You get downed as a survivor. The killer walks back and forth behind your downed body. Then they pick you up and hook you then hit you on hook a few times. When they unhook you they attempt to tunnel you and you outplay them at each vault/pallet and you tbag them for their earlier BM.

    An Eye For An Eye,

    A Tooth For a Tooth,

    BMing Begets BMing.

The only flashlight save related thing I'm against is the flashbang+Background player combo, mainly due to the fact it works despite staring at a wall.

Otherwise, you play around flashlights, make sure nobody else is nearby with one when able and try to pick up at walls. Or, just run Lightborn. I run it with no guilt whatsoever due to the flashbang thing I mentioned and it's fun to pretend to not have it until the near end of the match when survivors finally realize.

That's always been my gameplay. I run Lightborn, and give No 💩s over survivors who claim it being a waste of a perk slot. And I play as if they are confused to why they're flashlight saves aren't hitting.

  • Having the same situation myself. I lost a few really good bloodweb Iridescent offerings because these errors.

  • I was just about to post about this issue... twice now trying to work the bloodweb and it errors on me a kicks me to the main screen. I lost several well deserved offerings of Iridescent.

it’s the Xbox series X like just every map has a section that runs at like 30-40 frames slower than the rest of the map it’s very disheartening, the fsr slider doesn’t help either. Unfortunately I think BHVR just kinda broke the game on Xbox

IInteresting ... I'm on Xbox Series X and have great games going on. Graphics wise. My issue lately is teammates or Killers (when I'm survivor) are all lagging my game, on their end.

I'm saying is not fun for killers because they can't get into a match (long queue times)

what are survivors reason for not having fun? they they can't easily bully both killers or genrush even tho I seen gens pop fast just like in the normal mode.can't be long queue times because for survivor pretty much instant.

There's Definitely genrushing. If only a few survivors care to do gens and get out, gens are swiftly done. Only 2-4 survivors need the skill to run the killer's. While the rest do gens. But.....

Doing gens is Theeeee MOST Boring thing ever in DBD. And most times, you que into trials with a buncha scaredy-cat survivors that the split second that hint of a heartbeat goes off, they crouch off. As well as those ultra altruistic survivors instantly run off a Gen to go for a rescue. The incentives for survivors is crap. Screw others unless you're friends. Even in that, some friends screw over each other because there's those who take this seriously and those who high in euphoric laughter having fun with friends. This whole game has cliques of sub-types of a multifaceted gamers that don't mesh with the rest.

    Hell is Other Players.

  • They shoulda done the que up like Killer Klowns done theirs. Make queuing up randomized. 2 randomly picked "survivors" end up being killer instead.

Because at this current moment, everyone wants to try the killer side.

  • I honestly had to wait a whole hour and some minutes just to get into a trial as killer. As Survivor it's near instant no problem.

Tunneling does happen in this mode as well. I’ve seen it happen multiple times to my teammates. It’s not exactly the best strategy but it does still happen from time to time.

Depends on your definition of Tunneling. Because Killer's HAVE TO give chase. Which most will claim is tunneling. Which it's not.

That's funny. Isn't teaming literally the point of the mode?

Indeed, I was told off for "tunneling". And I'm like, first off I'm chasing everything that moves. Secondly, more often than not, survivors are running into me (I been playing as Naughty Bear)

  • I kinda agree but for an entirely different use of the Hand. It was a wasted idea for a Gigantic Ginormous Evil Hand to pick up or pull down PALLETS. It should have been more sinister. Not saying the cooldown shouldn't like be once per so and so "balanced" or whatnot. But... that hand should be more about smacking Survivor's Insta-Down like the hand of God like BAM! and maybe give another smack or two for good measure. Inserting Vecna's Dominance 👋👍

  • It makes me real happy when someone gets my "attempts of being clever" from these posts I make. I'm glad you got the reference.

Perhaps many cannot easily change their names. I know on Xbox it can only be done like once a month, and is not free. I imagine the PlayStations are similar.

Honestly, I always assume the TTVer is on PC (considering I'm on Xbox myself) and furthermore since crossplay symbol disallowing me to communicate with them. I don't come across many TTV Xboxers.

I just did a match where I was playing Vecna, and I catch the Kate and put her on hook. Immediately after, both of the Sables in the match gave up - immediately. They let themselves be caught and then killed themselves on hook. They didn't even finish a gen. Like, why even play if you're just going to give up immediately?

This is why DC penalties need to be harsher. These are the types that don't think of others as they play. Putting in a Bot is not enough. Though, to be honest, a Bot tends to be alot more skilled than real person players. Bring back hour-long penalties.

As others have pointed out, the physical reaction animation is a stun, not a blind. The perk does both, and Lightborn protects against the blind part only.

Think of it like the concussive force of the thing blowing up in your face. Even with supernatural sunglasses protecting you from any vision effects, you're still gonna flinch at something like that, right?

Thanks for that explanation. Much appreciated. I honestly didn't think about the "physical" effects

  • You obviously never have taken a BHVR Survey, to which they have stated, and have asked our thoughts on the matter of other possible genres would be welcomed into the realm of Dead by Daylight. This was asked of us long before the 3rd Anniversary (or 4th anniversary) Anime, Sci-Fi, Action, Other Videogames, all are considered a concept to fit within a game of Killer's and Survivor's. It's Horror Themed Asymmetrical 1v4 Survival Tactics.

  • To be real honest. Her characterization into dead by daylight, just makes her look like a generic survivor. They (bhvr) could easily just given Meg her as a skin alternative.

Maybe if she debuts live dbd with her OG Polygonal Square Chested look from back in the day, as a legendary skin. But til then she don't look worth it. Just generic.

nah, i been waiting on Papa Smurf as Killer, and Smurfette as Survivor. The way things have been going. 🤪

Or better yet, choose between Smarty Smurf, Jokey Smurf, Smurfette, or Chef Smurf as Survivor and Bring back the tiny small Survivor mod, and have Gargamel as Killer 🥴

  • Issue with these events anymore is it's nothing any different than the main game mode. Bhvr is getting lazy, having to do gens or having to sacrifice on hooks ... for an Anniversary event, why? They already showed us all they CAN implement other types of modes into the game. So why bring out Tryks showing what she looks like debut and still we're playing the same type of trials, kill or survive. Tryks is supposedly all powerful when coming up with changes to the Entity's realm. But this is all we get? Speed boosts, hide assists, or pranked ?... this even got boring quick.

But thanks for the BP Desserts. 🤤

  • It's simply their excuse for playing badly. Using that unwritten Survivor's Guide Book every whim when things gone bad for a survivor. They don't realize they are Unsafe Rescue Rushing. Don't pay attention to endgame chat. Sore Losers will always whine.

The point is not that it is ok the point is that the game is not enjoyable for many. You play killer side we get it.

But Then Survivor side gets all sorted amounts of ways to genrush, and the like, but call out on a Killer "supposedly tunneling" just to keep up. While Windows give you ample OPPORTUNITY to escape the killer, hide your aura from killer, quickly and quietly jump into lockers out of sight from a Killer. Flash them, (and not in the fun way). But because a killer is chasing you, who I will assume is looping a killer instead of escaping their capture. Want to claim Tunneling because you got caught in their sights to be chased. A requirement a Killer must do in order to catch a survivor?. Savvy?

I know that Haddie, Zarina, Rakoto or Soma don't get too much love, but Sable is also pretty new

I honestly want to see some love towards Jonah, of even Jeff, or Vittorio. But especially Jonah.. dude's creation and yet has been given anything decent after the fact.

  • Considering this Anniversary is a separate "mode" altogether, why bother (BHVR that is) making an Anniversary Mode with "normalized" generic gameplay the main mode already is?

Anniversary Mode should had been no hooks no gens. And a completely different objective. Since Considering it's supposed to be a " Fun Festival "

I swear these perks on both sides are just getting to be too much.

My only fear of this game ever dying is it being oversaturated and collapsing under the weight of all the perks.

Cote mentioned in an interview recently they can't test all combos before release as there are so many perks.

And they are just going to keep adding 3 per character.

We need a quality of life update and skip a chapter or two even.

Better Answer: just make characters and no perks. They're all just reskins of the same thing. Nothing is unique about a character. Only their perks, which are wasted because more often its the meta perk use. Enough perk ideas, more skins. Imo.

Something I've been wondering about for a little is whether the sound notification for an unhook really being necessary for the killer. The Hud on the side of the screen displays the same information and the killer should be at least somewhat aware of where they've hooked people. I'm not quite sure why this is a feature in the game and/or if it had a purpose at some point. Personally, when I play Killer, I often find myself moving to noise notifications if I'm not already in a chase and this often includes unhooks. I don't like coming back to hooks right after an unhook because it feels bad to me on both sides and I don't like winning that way. I feel like this feature seems to encourage the habit of moving back to a recent unhook but I could be jaded here because I play more Survivor than Killer.

This is not me trying to start a fight, I would just like to see what other players think of it.

Edit: Just to clarify my stance, I don't have a problem with the noise it makes, I think that's fine. I have more of a problem with the visual cue on the location of the hook.

Same goes for survivor side, why would it be necessary for a notification for the survivor who just finished a Gen need a visual cue on screen to say "hey, don't forget, this Gen you just finished was right here, case you got yourself turned around, alright? I got your back boo" 🥴

  • All this talk of MMR this and that and how to show who is High and who claims it. I honestly believe setting somethung a kin to Rift Challenges to that standard the player is at would define who actually is a pro and who's casual and who are the blowhards.

I'm honestly tired of these MMR talks, it's just a game. I'd love to see actual proof

Being grabbed from a portal is definitely intended - same as you can get grabbed off a generator for example, with portals its harder though as the specific window for the grab is much smaller.

What they should have done was made a specific animation for being yanked out from a portal lmao. An arm of the killer half out of a portal while the survivor animated to express surprise like being grabbed by Myers. That woulda made things funny at least.

  • If you mean to say his Damned power. The skellies he sends like Artist does with a Crow head. All you need to do is duck/ crouch. He ain't that powerful. The Flying might need a tad cool down longer than it's been given since PTB. But that's a slight need. If you're a Solo, yea you're screwed. This game is intended to be with friends. As Survivor.

  • @SoGo said:

    He'll be a solo q stomper.

But if the survivors know what they're doing, he won't be that oppressive

I'm pretty decent at killer, and yes, agreed. The average solo que is dead meat with the Lich. But a good Comms Duo will do decent. While a Casual Quad will destroy Lich.

Personal experience at best. Communication I'd key.

  • My only gripe about Vecna's powers is for the life of me why did they NOT decidedly believe the D-Pad on both PC AND Console was not the optimal choice to pick which of the Four Powers Vecna uses.

It's by far the easiest decision to come out with. Choosing a power to use that's on screen Up Down Left Right. The D-Pad / UpDownLeftRight Arrows IS Exactly the right decision... and BHVR didn't think of this??? 🤦🏻‍♂️

  • T-bagging and the like have been the basis of trolling in game since HALO. It ain't going away. You're literally telling the teacher to take the class bully and put them in the corner for remainder of the class. They'll just go back to class and keep doing it the next class.

  • @rysm said:

When I play pig I usually just give the survivors lots and lots of sidequests lol. Seems to slow them down a lot. But totally agree, gens do seem to go shocking fast at times.

That would be the plan. But the smarter players already know who to sacrifice and boom, gens are done. The reverse bear traps don't scare anyone off gens. They're (the RBTs) weak as is.

Bruce Wayne feels weird and there are Batman villains way more fitting than Clayface.

Scarecrow would be the best pick for a villain. And for the survivor, Alfred or Jason Todd (before becoming Red Hood) would fit more than having Batman as a survivor.

Honestly though I think Batman characters would be better off as a Legendary cosmetic collection.

    • Joker over Trickster
    • Scarecrow over Unknown or Doctor
    • Bane over Oni

Scarecrow = the Artist as a skin.

I know there are many rogues gallary choices but, i thought Clayface sheerly because of a Horror esk design about him would fit DBD.

As for others, Solomon Grundy maybe but he is brutish like Oni. As well as Scarecrow would be as Clown, tossing hallucinagenic viles of fear. And yes i agree just as Skins. There are many choiced, but i am referring to actual lore being taken into the Entity's realm added to the Fog's collection.

And to my mind, Clayface fits the bill. As well as BRUCE WAYNE, Not as Batman.

I know it's meme'd quite a lot about it being ridiculous seeing more capable survivors (David, Ash, the RE gang, etc) fleeing from some schmuck with a knife, but still...

I really can't imagine Batman doing it. I mean, he's *the Bat*.

Bare in mind, the discussion is about Bruce Wayne, not his alter-ego. And the fact that none in the roster of dbd are at their full power potential. Just look at Freddy Krueger, Pinhead or the like. They have been made to be a dumb-down version to fit the realm of the Entity. Wayne only has his human physical strength. Sure at peak condition. But so does David (by the looks of it).

Hugo Strange has captured Bruce Wayne and nothing superpowerful has been the case in that. It's Bruce Wayne, not Batman (with his gadgets).

Again im not trying to remove the aspect of the game that some find fun im just saying too many survivors do not have proper chase strategies they dont practice it enough and thus as soon as they are hooked they just suicide on that hook and move onto the next match, if more players practiced their chase game they could potentially give the killer a run for his or her money and eventually they always give up the chase when gens start popping off. You also need to be aware however of the timing of bloodlust so you know how long to stay in chase and eventually when your time will run out

Shame how anymore none of these players realize how DBD was intended to be. And have these types of suggestions.

There's a reason why the catagory for DBD is Horror Themed Asymetrical Survival. It aint action based.

And yea sure, there's always that excuse "play however you want" but anymore, ...and it's all boring meta, everyone knows where gens are, forced perk useage.

You want a rush, play perkless. 😜

Lights Out is the perfect example of game modes, it takes everyone's so-called skills and downright puts all in the dark. DBD was meant to be hide and seek horror.

    Not action, Jackie Chan style.

Tunneling at 5 gens is blaming the killer for something that is the fault of the survivors. If the killer is chasing 1 survivor, you have 3 survivors who can work on gens. Assuming relatively equal skill on the killer and survivors, survivors should have at least 1 gen done by the time the killer gets the first hook.

So if the killer is capable of tunneling out a survivor without any gens getting done, the survivors messed up.

Agreed, but the thing being, Strategy. Survivors in my experience rush for saves, never giving killers the amount of time to even leave the area. My experience in Lights Out seems to be altruistic survivors going for saves, which in the end, gives a noise trigger. And what Killer would just allow that? I myself go for the one who saved the hooked survivor. Why be damned for that? The survivor should allow the 1stage of hang time and instead finish a Gen. I notice more often than not, once caught and chased down to get hooked. There are survivor mates going for body blocking and fail at best. They should be busy doing gens. And still continue altruistically unhooking, not leaving time for killer to seek others, because they are already nearby. At the end of the day, survivor priority need be more "selfish" and sneak more instead of saving a mate so rushed.

    1. Hook grabs. These have always been silly, aren't much fun for anyone and far too often turn unhooks into a 'you rolled a 1 and now it's a 4k' frustration chain.
    2. Kobes. 99% of the time it's just suicide, and an easy way to bail on a match without getting a penalty. 1% of the time, it's really, really frustrating for the killer. Rework perks and addons as needed.
    3. Useless addons and offerings. I swear, far too much of my BP goes into stuff that is either really bad, or straight up handicapping myself.
    4. No Mither. Just...get rid of it and give David something that isn't essentially a 'we lose' button. I swear, this adept is a team killer.
    5. Knockout. This perk has almost no practical use and is only really utilized to grief solo queue players. Replace it with something better, and healthier.

I been saying for years now, let there be a redeemable for BP any low tier offerings. Now considering prestiging anymore the web doesn't recall items and offerings at all anymore and they all stack and pile up. So why not redeem them at all for bloodpoints. As for Kobe I thi k you meant the attempt at it. It oughta be a better percentage than just at 4% but other than that it oughta to be at two attempts and after if the kobe doesn't happen just disallow anymore attempts. And continue allowing to bleed out on first hook. Til it runs out as normal. Like a Gen pop takes progress away a slight bit. After two attempts you just wait til rescue or bleed out the rest of the way into struggle hook.
