  • Finally some folks actually express issue with The Pig. I dunno how to fix her but my complaint is her RBT seem pointless other than waste gen time. Because I myself have never got a survivor killed with RBTs I only give them sacrifices to the entity. And I'll add, her Mori kill is boring to do.

  • You're better off playing Friday the 13th, I believe.

They ruined I mean decisively added those And emotes to that game.

  • @Netherstorm said:

I always use self care. I also always use empathy, because most people just run around hurt all the time, which is crazy to me.

Yea, I dont get No Mither. I tried to use it with DS, I still will get Left Behind as a sacrifice lol

  • Considering ALL these self-help perks. Why is there med-Kits then. Not just judging from the mentioned neither choice here. But there being so many other perks. Doesnt seem to render having med-kits ? Since, Grampa Bill I've gone up against so many survivors that I've taken away med-kits in hand. Knocked em down. Just for 2 at the very least get right back up. Several times in different games. I see med-kits all over the ground (slight exaggeration) which seems to me kits are pointless anymore. You all even say you use a perk other than. So why even have med-kits

It's not like you're fooling the killer anymore visually carrying one. 🤷‍♂️

Mechanics based on punishing the killer due to proximity to the hook have proven to be highly abusable by survivors. Rush gens when killers camp instead of feeding and they'll stop doing it once they realize it no longer works.

Survivors abuse killers anymore anyways. They're nowhere afraid of being killed because the Dev gave them abusive perks. I just recently gone through a game where I smack them several times because they all just come at me. And all them stay in the wounded state even after smacking them past 4 hits. They perks are all bs anymore

  • @SupaSlay3r20 said:

What do you think the devs could implement to deter people from camping?

I've literally for years now, have suggested giving the Killer Camper a animation Headache Visual Blinding as if being flashlighted, for camping a certain meters proximity with a hooked survivor they recently hooked. If they have a survivor scream animation for healing perk for PH. Why not animate a Killer Camper the same. Blinding them as a penalty for face camping. Seems no one is favor of that idea instead rather whine about it all day every day

The only 4 things you should never do in DBD

    -Quit a game

-Expect other players to play how you want

-Feel entitled to having the match end the way you want

    -Break game rules

Don't think that because you came up with a build or strategy that everyone else should adjust their playstyle to make it work. Choose your perks and stuff and then hope it works out in your game; don't expect it to. Stop thinking everyone's idea of fun should be the same as yours. Don't think that because you care about bloodpoints, that other players have to care too. Stop thinking you are entitled to kills, escaping, bloodpoints, or rank. Not every game is about you. If you want things to always go your way, play an offline game or a rpg with friends. This is a game where people are free to make choices about how they play.

All of these things are 100% okay:

    -Facecamping

    -Tunneling

    -Proxy camping

    -Genrushing

    -Camping generators

    -Using Mori

    -Using Key

    -T-bagging

-Using ANY offering, perk, item, or add-on

-Blocking the killer from a hook or another survivor

    -Blinding with a flashlight

    -Looping

    -Not caring about bloodpoints

    -Only caring about bloodpoints

-Leading a killer to someone else in a chase to save yourself

    -Exploding generators constantly as distractions

    -Whatever else annoys you

You didn't mention the use of NOED....

I get ragged on for using it constantly lol.

Oh and Ebony Mori 😈Especially with Robbie the Rabbit Legion

  • You're not giving us your definition of Tunneling though. Even as someone said. As I defined Tunneling. There are many who definitions what Tunneling is. But that's the problem. What defines it. Considering you have a problem with it or at best, see it happening since DS (which is a perk is annoying. But not as much as Unbreakable. As a Killer, Downing them survivors then all a sudden one of them pops up lol. )

And as someone mentioned, there's camping. Thrown around by salty survivors. Because as said. No sooner a killer hooks one. Their survivor mate runs in and unhooked them. Which makes the killer have to go for a chase again. Which if caught the recently hooked, gets blame for camping. Which in my opinion. CAMPING is standing right in front of a hooked survivor feet away. Not bothering any other survivors. Til death. That's MORE the issue and which I seen alot of. Especially from Cannibals. More than I seen some tunneling. Which isn't definable.

  • @IMhereRUN said:

No Mither is already balanced. You have an unlimited amount of times you can pick yourself up from the dying state, AND it removes your trails of blood.

    Where's the balance?

What are the chances the killer let's a downed No Mither user alone to get back up than just pick up and hook them instead? It's a slim chance. Making No Mither pointless (without at least DS) as it is.

  • I dont get it. How is the majority's definition of Tunneling such a bad thing? Predator takes down the injured weakened prey as fast as it can. Leaving the others. What else is a killer to do, they kill.

Especially after you just smacked them. The prey runs. You give chase til you caught them.... how is that wrong?

What IS wrong, other players instantly running for saves right after their friend gets hooked. That's just dumb. In my book. Tou doing that gave a killer reason to chase the weakened prey again the sooner the killer hung them. But that's bad game tactics??. That's tunneling?? That's the killer's bad??.... (not to mention nearly everyone else clicking and tbagging "distracting" tactics instead of doing gens)

  • @HellDescent said:

They shouldn't remove swf, but let killers opt out from facing them if they want to.

I sincerely hope this cross(whatever) is optional and we do get to turn it off by choice. That would be the most appeasing idea for All

  • @ironiron said:

It shouldn't be removed, but something needs to be changed in order to balance it versus a full solo team.

My thoughts were to implement proximity chat range and for distance communication use of walkie talkies but then again. F13 already does that. Might be looked as copied ideas. But agreed it needs changing.

  • Hello. I just had to see if anyone was discussing camping. And no doubt have seen THIS Leatherface exactly. I have no desire to play with campers. If I expect camping LIKE That. It's in COD. Not here. It is a boring tactic.

But what erks me is also, sore survivors. Claiming, Trash Camper. Where, if I'm wrong correct me but, patrolling meters away after a hook. Killer leaves to find survivors shortly after someone else got hooked. Isn't that the objective? Is it the killer's fault a survivor went for a save and again took down survivors just to hook them again? Or am I wrong? Am i as a killer supposed to react to a unhooking and turn around and give chase and hunt them down or am i supposed to look at my watch and give to the count of 5 before i chase them down.

Just that the survivor dies and get a messege excusing me of camping. Which i thought is exactly what Leatherface does, standing in front of a hooked camper a couple feet away? I been suggesting so many times in these forums. Why not make the camping killer who is just standing feets away, a blind effect headache? Like being flashlighted? Only when in the proximity of a recent hooked survivor

Survivors get an animation scream in pain for healing another giving their location away. Why not a headache for a camping killer just standing next to a hooked survivor?

  • Dunno if this is still a discussion. But reading some of the comments. I was looking for experiences involving playing a side and what opposing side tends to be toxic. With Cheese Factor Killers Camp and hound one survivor til they dead-dead. That play is "toxic" especially a high ranked Killer (newbie Killer its "understandable" tactics) but a high rank oughta know better. But to my wanting affirmation in discussing Toxicity. SURVIVORS! #########? As a Killer you are supposedly intimidating. Set fears in your victims, making them sweat it out hasting to escape with their lives. But NO you get Out-of-Game Voice Chat and The ultimate F*** with the killer attitudes instead of rushing to get all power to the gates in a panic to ....SURVIVE.

Instead they gang up on the Killer. Not even going for Generators. How and why is this "fun" for anybody? A recent thread I went through idly claims this game is 4 v 1 its co-op so YOU survive. If helping others doesnt benefit you then screw the others. But back to the Topic of Toxic. Why don't survivors vs killers play the game and open the gates as fast as possible. Instead berate the killer?

Again I realize I'm late to this discussion, I doubt I'll get the ball rolling. Just venting?

I can't speak for others but I bounce around a lot as killer. I play more as Leatherface right now since he's my "newest" killer I unlocked (and right now Double BP from BBQ is awesome to help me collect those delicious 104% cakes) but usually I'll choose a killer at random. It really depends on my mood.

Really the only one I refuse to play as is Nurse because I never figured her out and now that I'm Red Rank, the opportunity to try to use her against lower opponents is basically gone. I was getting curb stomped learning her when I was low ranked against low ranks, I can't imagine trying to learn her against other Reds...

Nurse to me is real difficult. Just for that soft touch blink. I'll only use her if Daily demands it and I cant trash can it lmao. She is my lowest leveled. I honestly feel it needs work. HillyBill mechanics for his dash should equal the phase dash the Nurse does. If that was possible. I'd like Nurse better.

  • Reading most of these scenarios. I dont see how this is considered camping. I consider it camping if you as a killer are standing idly by a hooked survivor a few feet away. If you're yards away watching for other survivors trying a rescue (and actually there's times after you just had hooked a survivor. The others rush in for a rescue.) To me as a killer have every right to rehook that rescued survivor. And yet I been berated for that very idea. Am I wrong?

If you're getting camped on hook you can always go straight to the struggle phase and not struggle.

If camping "is a valid strategy" according to so many people here, so is suiciding on first hook. You won't be penalized for it and can quickly move on to the next match.

Yea. I end up just doing just that and haven't DC anymore. I mean, points are points I guess. And camping seems to be here to stay. Just saying. The most boring "strats" a person can do. But yea I do move on. ....still boring lol

  • Considering the Moon actually has a part in all the maps. A Lycan would be interesting, perks involving the moon verses perks involving the thickness of the fog. Both survivor and the killer somewhat "cancelling" each other's add-on depending what they bring along with items. Lycan's mori would be wicked, if it made the moon a Blood Moon which then would have the lycan were-out in a blood rage.

Custom game is a game mode designed to play with your friends where one of them plays as killer, its analogue to "non ranked" in other games, the main difference with Public is in Custom a player acts as the host, sets the rules for the match and is invite only (you cant get into a Custom game unless you get invited by the host).

They let switch from survivor to killer to allow the host to set the rules as the group see fit and play the role he desires, imagine you want to play with 4 friends, one has to be the killer, you create the lobby, invite your 4 friends and one says he wants to play killer, you switch roles and thats it, no need to create a new lobby from scratch.

The Public match mode puts you in a queue with other Surviors (if you are survivor) or in a queue to find spot for Killer, if you were to switch role the game has to kick you of the queue and put you in your new queue, its probably easier for them to make you quit the queue and join the other one to avoid weird stuff on the matchmaking.

But before a queue and before settling into your choice, there is a "lobby" to sit and arrange your tactics no matter tour side which is also in the queue just before everybody Readies up. These are extra steps and one extra "lobby" that isn't needed. It is also in public you also can invite friends to fill up that public lobby. It just seems simple enough to have switching implemented in both custom and public. Just my opinion. And no mentioning of gameplay options is the point I am well aware custom gameplay. Simple switching without having to back out is in question

Great ideas dude but has it occurred to you that a killer can dc also for a lot of understandable reasons too? I got an abusive message from a guy because my power cut out!

I get dc issues. But as said I dont get choosing to dc when the game penalizes it. I'm all for not penalizing those who had dc issues like server failures. Power Outages and internet server issues. But for those willingly camping a hook is as well a reason frustrated survivors WANT to quit. I myself have had so many camp my while I was hooked and a couple I decided this ain't fun enough to stay. And then boom, one time I dc as a choice. I'm soft banned. That's a huge middle finger to players who want the thrill of a killer to chase them and their unsuspecting friends in a horror genre, then get caught and suddenly realize "um... are you gonna go chase my friends?". Why stand around as a killer and camp your prey. Boring!

But yes killers have dc issues too. Especially if a group of friends commu icating through voice chat harrass a killer with no fear. There's another issue with this game. F13 was clever enough to add walkie talkies and disabled party chat and added close prox. Voice Chat. DBD ought to look into that, At least.

But I do not and can not understand choosing to dc just to be penalized for it. This is my point. Why is it a choice but you're penalized for choosing to

  • I opologize for skimming through the post after a few paragraphs but here's my 2cents. Why is there even a Choice to Leave Match to begin with if ultimately you are penalized for choosing it?

Here's an idea that I feel can easily be implemented into "penalizing" a camper killer. Give them a headache (visually much like being blinded, animation with being in agony, (much like survivors pain animation being hit by shock by the doctor). Lore wise, say it annoys the Entity that their killers aren't pleasing it with exciting chases of survivors. Considering it's boring just standing there watching a survivor already hooked and for the hooked survivor a 50/50 chance to unhook if the killer is stood near the hooked survivor more than x fair amount short distance of the survivor they just hooked ?

More often than not. As long as it's not a permanent ban. No one who's an buttnugget will care about a few minutes of taking a break, being soft banned.

  • Better question: why is Leave Match a thing to begin with, while it penalize the person for any reason at all with a soft ban. Why e end have the option to leave if it's a penalty to leave whatever the reason...
