Not really the point I was making. I only asked. Thoughts on the idea. Not that it would happen. Obviously

I wouldn't mind a swf indicator. At least like a line linking the people in a swf. If two groups of 2-man, you'd see 2 lines linking them together. This honestly isn't a bad idea.
Or in pre-game lobby those SWF, would be standing next to each other somehow. ( I'm now imagining animating SWFs in "bring our heads together" animation "talking" strategies lmao

This is true.
But they can't really do anything about that short of having borderline malware that disables a game for running a 100% legit program in the background (I don't lump anticheat in with this, because cheats are not legit).
I still don't think punishing people for having friends is the right thing to do.
All things said, simplistic ideas that shouldnt be punishing, right then?.
I still just say folks who are grouped should at the very least have "SWF" next to their gamertag. It would at least give an unbiased indication what the killer is dealing with. (Also "disable", for lack of a better word, the killer to DC because of this information)

How about then they make SWF have to fix ALL Gens instead of just 5 ?

So. It's fair they all get those perks AND communication benefits while a decent killer gets none of the equality?

I rather they just limit the perk usage of a combined DH, Unbreakable, DS, and BT. If there's SWF involved no two "friends" get to perk up with two of the same as the other "friends" 🤦♂️

These probably aren't SWFs you're fighting very often.
This reason, is why I wished those who are Grouped together, that in the beginning of the game, have a Simple "SWF" next to their name.
That said, the likelihood of 1-on-1 ratio between Survivor on a Gen. It would be so much better, cleaner, fairer, if SWF players had to do all generators before gates are open. Hell but then again 5 gens aren't even enough anymore, no sooner completed because of toolboxes and addons. Leaving Chase points to be dull

Avoid deathslinger on console.
BAM BAM (Oni) is strong on console if learnt properly.
Legion is meh (discordance is good), so is clown but he has one of the best gen perks (PGTW).
Deathslinger not that bad on console, personally. For me it's just paying attention to survivor's animation when they're running away and which side of their head's turn as themselves are they looking back at Deathslinger, aim for that side instead of a totally center mass. Pretty much hits

This made me laugh, yeah! I already know I'll get msgs after the game (since console doesnt have chat after the game we get DMs) regardless of the killer I play. That reminded me when I started playing killer i was probably rank 17 going against red ranks, when they all survived the rank 2 messaged me saying I was trash... like.. really? didn't he see my rank? lol
Right now I'm maining spirit and I'm loving her, but I really want to try a new one :) these comments have been super helpful!
I'm on Xbox btw.
And for that fleeting moment when there wasn't a message it's like I turned Owen Wilson. "Wow..."
I just got Spirit last week. I personally dont see the issues everyone claims with her. But then again I never seen the issues claimed with Legion (although I rarely use Feral Frenzy anyways) but like I said. Whenever I use Legion. I brace for impact like Night's Watch on The Wall sighing underneath "Winter. Is Coming"

I have enough shards to buy a non-licensed killer, the 4 that I don't own are Legion, Clown, Oni and Deathslinger.
I have to say that i have most of Legion's and Clown's perks (I'm only missing Coulrophobia and Mad grit), but I dont remember if I have any from the Oni and DS.
I'm a little scared about Deathslinger since I'm on controller and my aim is poop and I feel like I won't hit my shots lol that being said I still love playing huntress, even tho I miss a lot of hatchets lol
So.. which one would you guys suggest I get? Which one would u consider the better option between those?
Out of those choices. Be prepared being hated for practically no real reason.
You get kills, you're apparently t a sweaty trash killer. You dont get kills, they'll bag on you for being a trash killer...
It's not uncommon. Personally I like playing all those choices. And main Legion. But everytime i actually do good with any of them. I'm bagged on with hate.
-
I only hate it because it's done when I'm trying to pick a body up. Which you're stuck in an animation unable to do anything about it then it's too late. (Case Scenario: Flasher was out of sight line, making killer believe it's safe to pick up body)
If you as killer was allowed to turn left or right during pickups it be no problem. Hell, even when breaking a pallet, you're looking down at the pallet at your foot. But somehow the flashlight still blinds you? Let along looking at the ground picking up a body when you clearly are bent over picking them up and still get stuck blinded 🤷♂️

No you read it wrong
You can only kill people with a mori if all survivors are hooked once first
As in for the Memento to work, you have to first hook all survivors once before any of them are deemed killable
This means no quick game ends and requires you to put work into getting the chance to start killing
Gotcha, that's fairly doable.
Would it be fair once all 4 survivors get hooked, you, as killer, be allowed to choose which of the once hooked survivors gets Mori killed?

Ok, your Spanish Inquisition comment actually made me laugh out loud. That was freaking epically placed. Touché!
I get what you are saying. I understand the console gameplay is very different. I guess my confusion lies more with PC players being so sensitive. I have to agree though, I tend to show mercy to Baby Dweets. They are like lost little children looking for their way home. Run-along Baby Dweet, jump in that hatch and find your mother. lol I may or may not be partial to a flirtatious Kate as well. But only when I run Trapper and she crouches down while looking at me in that sad, yet pleading manner. Ok....run-along. I'll count to 5 before chasing.

I feel like you're greatly exaggerating how often people get the same maps (I don't feel like that's my experience at all) but for fun, we'll pretend your experience is everyone's.
If your issue was the case, I'd just ask BHVR to make it truly random which map you get rather than weighted random, which I presume they currently use (as in you could get any map but some maps have a higher chance of being randomly chosen).
I was speaking from my own experiences. I never claimed I spoke for anyone else. I question if anyone else has this experience, if at all, I'm not dense to the fact everyone doesn't experiences the same. But alone, I doubt Murphy's Law would stay their hand for one insignificant speck like me.
That said, as said "I am a speck" I doubt BHVR would look into this one issue. To add to the last part of your reply. It would work if RNG eliminated a map on a random generation if it red the map you just had a trial in.

Which is fine. Contrary to what some may say, it's your mori, use it however you want to.
I was just giving you a more detailed response to my original response since you asked what we mean when we say you lose points.
I understand your point. Some folk care to gain BP. I can respect that. But I still stand on the idea you'll always gain BP. It'll never be at Zero unless you DC at the very beginning. But then again DCing didnt earn any.

When I say you lose BP, I'm talking about ebony mori off the first hook. You're losing all the points you'd get from hooking the survivor a third time (as we'll consider the mori your "2nd" hook), plus you'd likely lose points in Hunter and Brutality because you now have less survivors to chase and whack.
You get BP using the mori but you're denying yourself a lot of "potential" points taking survivors out so quickly.
Some of us (or maybe just me lol) just want to see the world burn. Or in this case, want to murder 🥴

If your having a bad day because the sweaty swfs all day, chances are once your in red ranks its all swfs bayybeee, its not like im gunna find some innocent team that has done no wrong, 99.9 percent of the time its gunna be 4 survivors with near identical builds, using all the same sweat as all the other survs. Only mildly non sweaty thing ive seen in my time in red ranks is for the people, im not even remotely worried about some survivor who is running a fun build
Exactly why I wish SWFs would be a game mode separate from solo play. Those who are fine with comms against a deaf blind style killer. From those who solo play out for themselves 🤷♂️
-
Funnily enough, those saying you lose BP for Mori use. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you still get BP no matter you Mori or Not. Sure, the game mechanics dictate how much by doing objectives respectively but it's not like it's 0 BP when you Mori kill.
-
@Hoodied said:
‘mori after 2 hooks. That way the only thing the add on saves is the last walk to a hook.’
Not a good idea as this would render the Memento Mori completely useless as its safer to hook survivors than Mori with this change
imo, all survivors should be hooked atleast once before being able to use the mori
Hooked once before getting to have a Mori.... isn't it already that way....🤷♂️

^The exact reason why I say don't change mori's!
Honestly I don't use mori's because they don't help me improve my gameplay. I love playing against mori's because they put me under a lot of stress and I love the challenge and that feeling.
If I do use a mori, it's because I've had a bad day, or I'm playing against a boosted/sweat swf that I've played against and I wanna see how the can handle the stress of losing the strongest 1 on the team, or to see how they deal with mori's
But Mori's are brought in at the beginning, how can you determine the next match will be why you had a bad day on from the next Match being Not sweaty SWFs? That seems like taking out frustrations on innocent bystanders

I can see that. however it would still suck for the one survivor that didnt at least get the second hook. But maybe any survivor that has hit the struggle phase
Well I wouldn't mind having to hook twice before being allowed to Mori. But still. The other Mori are kinda a waste on the Bloodweb. And I get my head bit off lately anymore if I use Ebony. So I'd compromise a single Mori of my choosing. 2 hook is fair. IMO.
-
Just my 2cents but. The Mori Kill itself is perfect. (Save for some killer's animations of a few killers, personally. Most boring to watch is Pig) though, I rather not have to waste getting every style Mori. Instead just keep the Mori which allows you to kill, by your hand, one survivor you have hooked. Like giving a guard dog a treat. Having to sacrifice the rest to the Entity.
Hell, if it was your choice who to Mori. Wouldn't it be more satisfying if whoever that survivor who wiggled their buttcheeks at you, get it in the end?

You have no perks that help you find survivors faster. Try out some new builds. I like to run aura revealing perks on Huntress. BBQ, Nurse's calling, I'm all ears. Also really helpful perks are Discordance and Whispers.
Hell, I run,
Spies From the Shadows, Discordance, Deerstalker
A Nurse's Calling.
And sometimes Franklin's Demise.
And whenever I down survivors in under 2gens left. No Add-Ons and hardly if any, use special abilities. I'll get an entitled Survivor messaging me, blaming their teammates, for being a Trash Killer, every other 3-4 matches.
Like, why the mentality that "you" have the need to waste time messaging that crappy attitude, just because I killed "you" ?
-
Personally, feel like Totems are too easy to find to begin with. Especially when you carry the perk to heal in a closet after taking out a totem. Just my 2cents. In general totems are always the priority for almost everything. Like the Devs say (along with most players) .....Do Bones. 🤷♂️

This could easily go in a post-game tab of the match results. While we’re at it, let’s specify who escaped by hatch and by gate.
That's the idea. Hell I also would like the icon the killer gets to show their carrying someone to be an icon for all survivors instead of looking like their just laying grounded. Even if it's a split second the killer is carrying them to a hook nearby. For that time being. It be nice to know who's being carried and who's on the ground. 🤷♂️

Oh no cause people would be rushing far too much to complete their old time. I enjoy the game cause there is no time limit
To be fair I didnt say time limit. But a timer that shows counting up to how long a game lasted. I only suggest this because there are times I feel it lasted such a short amount of time before since the game began. Just an indication of time spent.
-
I honestly think it needs reworked. Her Mori kill is just boring to me. This is technically why I asked if anyone had significant kills by RBTs. I acknowledge they are more of a time waster for haulting gen work but my personal experiences I saw noone care about them on. Got gens down. Got headgear off. Wasted 4 RBTs. (That's another issue. Trapper has several on the ground to pick up. Huntress has closets. Piggy has a limited amount to carry)
I dunno about anyone else but The Pig doesn't seem like she's worthy of Jigsaw. 🤷♂️

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/WTDIPT7A6OAZ/tunneler-freddy-main-2.png
But then I got called a 'tunneler Freddy main dogshit'... First and foremost, I reported that player for communication abuse. Secondly, this was my second game as Freddy. Ever. I did not use any of the annoying slowdown addons and used what decent perks I had at my disposal as a level 26 Freddy (not even rank 3 perks). How on earth would I be a Freddy main?
That aside, I would like to say that hooking a Dwight, going to the other side of the map, downing someone else, hooking them, seeing someone on a gen with BBQ, teleporting over there and finding Dwight again does not mean I am tunneling Dwight. I literally hooked someone else in between. That's just bad luck for Dwight.
Don't know why I felt like posting this... To show that you can never do right for some people? To vent? To get other people's opinions? Probably all of the above. I do feel a lot better having typed this out.
Most these gamers apparently never watched a decent horror movie. While chasing a victim. A killer has.... Tunnel... vision. Of course that's all they have in mind. To kill. The victim running blood wounded is like a wolf hunting g down a weak link prey. The problem is ego. They feel entitled to tell you off because they failed to escape. Turn off Texted Notifications is all you can do. In this game. You either win some or lose some.

I know it will never happen but the idea of Mori's and Keys. It ought to be one and only Ebony Mori's and Skeleton Keys. And nothing else. EM's get only a 50% chance every 10 levels to appear on web. 5 for SK in webs. The rest of the Mori and Keys need to be removed from the game.
And also the key only allow the survivor who brought it in the Hatch escape. That's it.

We should not only think on what is necessary.
If we just take what is necessary, then would a faster m1 killer without any abilities enough for 60%+ of the matches.
Would the people enjoy playing such a game?
Maybe for a few weeks, or months, but let us be honest - it would start to be quiet boring really fast. Especially since DBD only comes with 1 game mode.
That's why killers need more as a m1 attack - to make more fun for the killer players and to challenge survivors on more ways, so that they also can have more fun.
Sometimes also because it is against every logic. A knife is most of the time a short, light and sharp weapon...
Can you tell me why we can't stab someone multiple times from a realistic point of view?
The answer is: No you can't, like every other logic thinking person :).
But the thing is. This is a game. Hell, Legion would be the least of any worries if realism was involved. One single whack from Trapper to the back of the head with his machete would already instantly kill these survivors. Billy/Cannibal even faster and way more gruesome because of a Chainsaw rips and shreds through flesh.
It's the fun of the hunt that this game is about. For killers anyways.
I'm not ever going to claim being the voice of the people (with murderous intent) but for me, Legion is as deadly as it gets without needing to go feral. Feral Frenzy all it does is give Legion a pain (where, I won't say) just for wanting to continually stab everyone. Legion wants to repeatedly stab. (lore wise) Legion isn't allowed. Because it's the thrill of hunting that is the point of these trials. That and it's just a game. That's Why....
Hell reasons I like Legion is simple. Reminds me of back in the day a game called Manhunt by Rockstar.
-
I hate the fact even discussing Jason Voorhees. Considering it's a moot point with his legality Licensing. He'll never see the "Light of Day"
-
He's only faster when invisible. And, he cant hit anyone. (Although I find it funny he can discharge generators in his invisibility) and his uncloaking is slow when he needs to hit anyone. Even when he's right behind anyone doing a generator. The bell tone warns anyone just as early than his cloaking can uncloak to get a hit in. It's only really when a fearless survivor sticks to finishing that generator a good smack lands. If you didnt have to hold down to uncloak. Things then would be different.
-
I main Legion (for the most part). I dont need buffs. I hardly even use FF. I just like Joey's look and now Robbie the Rabbit. The perks I use aren't even Legion. Maybe! Legion needs worked on. I dont see it. Legion's pallet jump isn't even a boost ( I rather go around downed pallets, it to me seems faster) if I was to give Legion anything. It might be a faster lunge kind of like The Pig (Dont even get me started on The Pig issues).
(Not to mention Legion's Mori is one of the more expressive of them all, and yet nearly every one hates Mori, I say hook sacrificesare way boring, but is supposedly the main way to get BP)
-
You do realize Deathslinger carries a Rifle (it's extended reach to stabbing). The walls can be just so thick. When you vault through one and especially when you're telegraphing your next move to vault a window. That gives Deathslinger plenty time to shoot you through the window. Pull you close and give you a smack. This is a way to stop Loopers. Deathslinger was made for Loopers.
Vaulting down pallets doesn't allow this. But again. You're trying to loop Deathslinger and the player sees it. Has the chance to shoot you before you pass the Pallet. How and why would BVR ever NERF him? Instead of dealing with looping. .....
....do Gens.
-
I rather they rid them all in both survivor AND killer sides. The Entity feels too lenient with allowing 2nd chances.
That said. Survivors have it too easy anymore. Having them AND feeding off each other's survivors. What's a Killer to do but to use NOED which survivors hate on... no one's happy
-
Honestly though, I just don't see how Rank matters. The gameplay is the same through and through. I thought I reached rank 8 it would be different but I dont see the point worrying about rank higher or lower than where I was. Getting good and bad games with whatever rank.
-
Idea?
City-wide Purge style. Multiple Level Skyscaper height, jumping rooftops.
6v24
Killers get straight from the start, deadly weapons (no guns). 24 survivors have to find "weak weapons" such as, broken beer bottles, broken sticks, metal bars, garbage things City Folk toss in dumpsters. And the goal is to out live all until daylight. Free-For-All

The Last of us Chapter-
Map: An overgrown city
Survivor: Joel miller
Killer: The Bloater
Bloater's ability: The Bloater would have a ranged ability where it would launch spore projectiles that have an AOE (Like the clown) The spores have a lasting effect and if a survivor moves through the spores, they slowly take damage over a period of time eventually bringing them down a health state.
Secondary ability: (This ones more up in the air) If a survivor is brought to the dying state Via spores 3 times, on the third time they die and become "infected". They stand in place and act as a watch tower. If a living survivor walks within range of the Infected survivor, they let out a blood curdling screech providing an auditory and aura visual for the killer for a short time.
I have no freakin idea what the perks and stuff would be.
Let me know any thoughts!
Hell, considering they already have Left4Dead Grampa Bill. Why not add this idea with a Spitter and a Witch instead. The Entity slightly modifies them for her benefit. Unlike the Plegue, the Spitter fires a blob of acid She possesses the ability to spit a green ball of acid from long distances, which, upon hitting the ground, will expand into a large puddle ( an effect like The Clown or Freddy when a survivor runs over it slowly damages) and damage any Survivors who make contact with it. After spitting, however, the Spitter is temporarily paralyzed for a second (like ever killer happens with when using their power), giving the Survivors a chance to escape her.
The Witch. (When a survivor dies by Mori or special kill by Spitter) screams and reveals survivor location when near them. Proximity wise. But since the survivor died by the Spitter with their Mori style kill. The body of that survivor is stuck in the acid pool. (So this cant be abused with survivor control). Etc. Etc. And there ... we already got Bill, Left 4 Dead License problem solved (as far as legality goes)
