Scratched mirror remains the same as before.
Thank you good sir, I was ready to throw a tantrum, my anger has been abated. Sad it wasn’t buffed a tiny bit, but I understand why it hasn’t.

They're all solid base kit changes. I like them all. Especially the tier 1 buff and faster stalk.
I would have liked a bit more like a buff to tier 3 such as breaking pallets faster to go with the mega lunge and fast vault speed.
I am stunned tombstone piece has remained.
A fault of mine is that I don’t do good with numbers. Can you tell me, does the change to his movement speed affect his movement speed with Scratched Mirror? Is it slightly buffed, nerfed or the same?
-
Am I misunderstanding what I’m reading (I admit I can be slow), but did Scratched Mirror movement speed get nerfed with the decrease in movement speed? Because if he’s any slower, I’m done.

I really want to know what they're doing to Myers.
I’m hoping Scratched Mirror movement speed gets buffed to 130% and the amount of stalk required to tier up is reduced by 50%.

Survivors have made solo unfun to play.
No no no, Killer bad. Survivor Good. Killer must be punished for even thinking about Killing.
-
Survivors still have counter play , it’s just not as easy as it was when the game gave them chance after chance after chance. They have to actually know how to loop now and not just throw down 3 pallets and chain strong loop into strong loop.
Distortion still works fine, you just can’t hide all game without interacting with the Killer. It shouldn’t be a problem since it was Survivors who kept exclaiming that the chase it the most enjoyable part of the game. The Devs are just promoting more interaction that Survivors asked for.
And don’t act as if Killer perks don’t get gutted. Only, it’s not just the perks but Killers themselves get demolished by the Devs for the sake of Survivors, just look at what they did to Skerchant.
Balance is generally fine. The most pressing thing Survivors need is a proper training mode that teaches them how to loop and an AI for each Killer so they can practice against them without having to worry about dealing with dumb teammates. -
Myers so I could tombstone my potato teammates.

My main is Scratched Mirror Myers.
My tip is to run Franklins. Knock the Survivors item out of their hand. Break chase shortly after and go back to the item. Hide out of sight in a corner or behind an object/wall/bookshelf and wait. 9 times out of 10 the Survivor will come back for the item. When they do, give them a mini-heart attack.

When you can't refute a statement attack the man.
Weak.
Killer is baby mode easy.
@I_Cant_Loop didn’t attack you and made a reasonable request. If Killer is so easy, as you say, you should have no trouble displaying how easy it is through your own gameplay and giving him insight into what he’s doing wrong and how he can improve.
-
Just ignore them.
-
Hopefully they don’t touch his Tombstone. I think it’s fun to face.
-
Yes, we need snek. We also need Medusa. We can have Medusa turn into snek for fast travel like Daddy Succ turn into puppi.
-
No one asked them for a finisher mori. They just got stubborn and had to implement it somehow.
All they had to do is increase the bleed out speed so people don’t stay on the ground for too long. It doesn’t reward Survivors for failing in a chase and it puts more pressure on Killers to pick up the slug. At the very least, they should have a test weekend like they did with the no Blood Lust weekend.
Oh, I’d even throw in faster crawl speed when only two Survivors are left.
-
Because all of the Survivors have become my cute little chicks and this momma hen ain’t giving them to the entity
-
One of my ungrateful cats
Their power would be pooping in litter boxes across the map, forcing Survivors to clean it. If they don’t, the cat will enter rage mode that increases their movement speed while exposing all Survivors.

Self-Care. It hurts terribly when I see my teammates rush off into the wilderness in order to heal while I’m bleeding out on the ground or about to hit second stage on the hook. With it being base-kit more people could bring in Botany and help everyone get back in action faster.
I would expect this to have the opposite effect to what you intend.
Making Self Care basekit is no guarantee anyone will bring Botany, but you will almost certainly see more survivors running off to corners to spend 45 seconds healing.
Oh hush up and let me live in my delusions 😭😭😭

Decisive strike.
Before I get crucified, hear me out. Having a perk that offers game health locked behind a paywall is absurd. However, I do understand, that tunneling is sometimes a necessary evil for killers to create some pressure. Therefore I would not add ds just in it's current state, but with limitations.
Something along the lines of this:
- It becomes weaker the further the match progresses until it completely deactivates in end game.
- The survivor with it active cannot bodyblock off hook for another survivor. I don't know how this could be implemented effectively, but it would need to happen to disincetivice the offencive usage of it.
- The duration of the stun is increased when using ds as a perk, just like bt.
- Some form of slowdown mechanic for the killer that rewards spreading hooks between all 4 survivors, that is actually worth going for. (would have to be adjusted in strength depending on each killers power level independently for obvious reasons)
This could maybe help to tackle the most egregious cases of tunneling and shift the game towards a more enjoyable experience overall.
Obvisouly this would have to be tested at great length and my proposal is by no means a perfect solution.
I'll gladly hear ideas and opinions! ^🐽^
Rather than base-kit, I think it should just become a general perk that every Survivor has access to and Laurie would just get a new perk. It should be buffed back to a 5 second stun and reveal the users Aura to their teammates for 10 seconds so they can try and coordinate help. I dont think it should ever be base-kit because too many people would try and weaponize it.
Anyways, perks I want base-kit:For Survivor:
- Self-Care. It hurts terribly when I see my teammates rush off into the wilderness in order to heal while I’m bleeding out on the ground or about to hit second stage on the hook. With it being base-kit more people could bring in Botany and help everyone get back in action faster. (I understand balancing will need to change so Killers can have a new slowdown that takes the place of current Self Cares slowdown, but that’s up to the Developers to figure out)
- Tenacity. While I’m all for Killers being able to play as they want within the games rules and not be disparaged for their choices, being a slug is not fun. So I propose an increase to crawl speed after being on the ground for 30 seconds. If all remaining Survivors are slugged, they get the option to bleed out faster after 60 seconds.
- Not a perk but I’m pretty sure that the Mobile Game has a toggle button that displays a rear view mirror for Survivors so they can see behind them while in chase. I want this in the main game. Even after 6k hours I can’t look behind myself and loop 😭😭😭. I dunno what’s wrong with my motor and hand-eye coordination 😭😭😭
For Killers:
- Whispers. It would help not waste too much time looking in empty areas. They shouldn’t have to bring in a perk just to know Survivors are near. I’d also take Spies from the Shadows as an alternative.
- Undying. Killers get one free transfer for a hex as base-kit to help when they spawn directly across a generator or on a hill like a light house.
- Shattered Hope. It should have always been base-kit.
-
New characters, perks and items will always be released. There will always be something to grind for.
-

The only problem, my dear friend, is that players who prefer hide and seek over chases (me) aren't exactly thrilled to see Lethal Pursuer almost every game.
I don't think it needs a nerf, just wish it wasn't meta.
I don’t like facing it and wish it wasn’t meta as well since I too prefer the Hide-n-Seek aspect over chase. But as you said, it doesn’t need a nerf.
I do wish they’d revert SpineChills to its pre-nerf state so it would be less tedious to face.

Faster movement speed for 30 seconds as a reward and motivation to go out into the world and find a new Survivor.
Wouldn’t apply to death hook. -

It’s probably because maps have become smaller and weaker, and so many anti-loop killers are in the game. No wonder people don’t want to be chased unless they are exceptional at looping.
You don’t have to be exceptional at looping. You can play it safe and not greed pallets when going against anti-loop Killers. You can also buy time by running to a different loop when the Killer uses their anti-loop ability since the majority of Killer powers are telegraphed to the Survivor and slow the Killer down.
I suck at looping because I could never get the hang of looking back at the Killer while running. Yet, I can still waste some time just by pre-running to a loop before they get to my gen, shift+W after dropping a pallet and using Lithe to make it across the map.
It’s not that people don’t want to be chased, it’s that they only want to be chased when they have all the cards in their hand like they used to.
-
@Reinami said:
Yeah, lets nerf lethal and give killers even more of a reason to stack 4 slowdown perks.
And to run back to the hook after they get the unhook notification.
I thought people wanted to promote healthy play styles, as in chases since many on here exclaimed that’s the most fun thing about the game. Now that Killers are able to get into chases faster no one wants to take part.
-
While Lightborn in the Hard Counter to flashlights, I recommend Franklin’s Demise. It works against more than just the flashlights and wastes more time for Survivors because 9 times out of 10 they go back for their item.
The salt that it elicits out of them is a bonus.

No, it really isn't. Exhaustion needs an earning requirement for as powerful as it is. It, without any skill on the survvors part, artificially extends chases. The community is so fixated on killers, killer perks, killer playstyles that are "unfun" or "boring" to verse. The fact is, Exhaustion is unfun and boring to verse. You're not being outplayed with exhaustion. You're being outperked. Meanwhile all the most powerful killer perks, for the most part, either have a hard counter without the need for a perk, can be outplayed by skill, or require the killer to actually do something to earn it. Exhaustion has none of these traits.
Gens go too fast and they are steadily nerfing gen stall perks because they take "very little effort to earn" (as in, downing and hooking a survivor in most cases). Exhaustion takes no effort. It just exists (with the exception of things like Smash Hit or Head On of course), complete for free. It's not fun to verse, it doesn't feel fair, and often times, you feel like the survivor is being rewarded for making a pathing error. If a killer makes a mistake, half the time it could cost them the game, especially if they play by the phony survivor rule book. If a survivor makes a mistake, 99% of the time, they have a perk or base kit mechanic to bail them out.
The devs need to start looking at things that are unfun to verse for killers, and maybe things like tunneling and slugging wouldn't be such an issue. It's a chain of causation.
I stand corrected. I have no argument to any of your points.
-
No, Exhaustion is fine as is. Don’t need the Devs messing up something that doesn’t need fixing.

You are failing to see the gray area in a bad mechanic. Just because on paper it says "Good for face camping" it doesn't mean it stops it. The loop hole that exists is proof that is is NOT a greatly designed mechanic. So yes it is useless when it's not serving as any other purpose other than to say it's there.
I guarantee you there there are more people who have found this useless more than not. Camping as a concept has been one of the the core issues with this game since the start, this is not a good step in the right direction. Face-camping isn't the only aspect of Camping as a whole that was already an issue.
It’s not just good on paper, it’s good in the game. As I mentioned in another post, it’s stops Killers from face-camping and using their powers to completely deny unhooking. Killers like Bubba, Tombstone Myers, HillBilly and Doctor are no longer able to completely deny unhooks like they used to, so yes, the mechanic is good at what it’s supposed to be good at.
I’m not talking about any other aspects of camping. I’m only discussing the Anti-Face Camp Mechanic. If you think that camping in general is a problem, that’s fine, but that’s not the discussion we’re having. Feel free to start a new thread about camping and why you think it’s detrimental to the game and how you think it can be solved if that’s what you want to discuss.

If it is only bad killers doing it, then surely you should be able to win against them since they are bad.
You should know by now, all Killers who use tactics not approved by Survivors and do anything less than going for 12 hooks before the gens are powered, are bad. Don’t forget, Killers are only allowed to 1 hook everyone before they’re allowed to hook someone previously hooked.
-
It’ll never happen. They can’t tell from their end if the dc is intentional or not. The only way to tell is to have spyware installed in the system, which is something that’ll never ever happen. -
They really just need to implement a dc/early suicide pool for matchmaking. The serial quitters shouldn’t have any complaints since they keep DCing so I don’t see why they don’t do this.

I suppose that is true. I really wish he was eventually made available in 2v8 because I think it is the best modifier we've had, but as long as he gets a good rework I'll be happy.
Though, I must admit I am worried. Towards the end of the video, around 56:38, Cote talks a little bit about Freddy, but not a lot of information is given. He just says "some people will hate it because they are changing something, and others will love it". And that talking about gameplay changes like this is "delicate". But Freddy has such a low pick rate and has been neglected for so long that announcing the direction the rework will go shouldn't really have any negative repercussions.
I really wish I could ask someone at BHVR the question: "Do you think Forum user GeneralV will like the upcoming Freddy rework?". Because a simple "yes" or "no" would tell us A LOT.
For your sake, I really hope the rework is everything you want it to be.
I do hope he is in 2vs8, I just don’t want you to get your hopes up with BHvRs track record. It also doesn’t help his license issues are garbage.

If we want to get technical with definitions, Facecamping has not existed in the game since swivel-hooks.
And no, specifically facecamping wasn't a problem, it was always camping. Specifically the kind of camping this nurse is doing.
Face camping is when the Killer is camping the Survivor face to face, regardless of the hook swivel. The removal of hook grabs and base-kit BT are proof that Face Camping was a problem. The AFC mechanic was just the cherry on top. There were plenty of complaints about face camping as well.
Even after the removal of the hook swivel mechanic, Killers with insta-down abilities like Bubba, Hillbilly and Myers were able to make it impossible to unhook. Heck, even a good Doctor who knew how to time their M2 could stop an unhook while face camping. Now Survivors have more of a chance to save without going down immediately.

Tbf the name sort of becomes irrelevant when you realize that it is just about as useful as not having it in the first place.
I don’t think anybody wants complete immunity but I have to laugh when the killer can stand just outside of the radius and still accomplish their goal as if they were face camping. The design for this feature is pretty bad.
The design is good for what the mechanic does, stops face camping. Now if you think it should be improved or built upon, I won’t argue with you. But saying it’s useless and doesn’t achieve anything is wrong. It does what it’s designed to do.
The problem here is people have moved the goal posts from face camping to just camping and act like the Devs don’t do anything to improve their experience, forgetting how BT became base-kit (which people still don’t appreciate and claim is useless) and how Hook Grabs have been eliminated.
And yes, plenty want immunity and for rescues to be completely safe. If they don’t, they wouldn’t expect to be able to go toe to toe with a camping Killer and succeed (you already have someone in this thread implying this should be the case) and they wouldn’t be asking for teleporting hooks.
-
@Akumakaji said:
@Huge_Bush Don't worry, people have OBVIOUSLY forgotten that facecamping was a thing that is now basically erradicated. So because most don't seem to remember its perceived to be an inadequate countermessure to perceived disproportionate effective strategies.
I personally think that the bar could fill up a little bit more, BUT be visible to everyone, the hooked survivor, their friends and also the killer. Being transparent with how it works will allow to fine tune it a bit better, right now there are so many misconceptions, false claims and wrong observations about it that I feel going fully transparent for everyone involved would be the best course of action.
Oh, I’m not worried about them. They’re the same people who won’t be happy until the Survivor role is back to being the power role and they can bully Killers while being in their face all the time, knowing they’re safe because they have chance after chance after chance.
And I’m not against improving it. Yes, the bar should be revealed to the other Survivors in the HUD. I dunno about letting it fill faster, especially since the hook timer is longer now, but I’m not against the devs testing it and see how it goes. The problem we have here isn’t that the AFC mechanic doesn’t work, it’s that people want to completely remove a Killers choice and force them to play how they want without thinking about the repercussions. You can’t take out a completely valid play style and eliminate a way Killers apply pressure without giving them another option. And even if they did, these same people will cry about it.
