  • Instead of already complaining about it, why not just wait and see how it goes? The change hasn’t even been PTB tested yet.

We already have to deal with latency of current dead hard. They also walk off with less health than they had or none at all. It's meant to be used to help your teammates. Not yourself.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3341808#Comment_3341808

At the cost of YOUR health and exhaustion. Would adding hemorrhage make it fair? Besides, it already gets abused right now as a chase extension among other things and people still winge about it. You won't have to worry about it being used for a sole chase anymore.

I picture a 4 man SWF, fat medkits, COH, their stunning DH… nah bro.

It’s not abused as a chase extender lmao. Survivors fail their DH against me 9/10 times. Idk why y’all complain about it so much. It’s beyond easy to tell if they have it, and even easier to counter it.

  • Lmao so an on command stun?😂 nahhh chief. This ain’t it. This would get abused so quick.

What you seriously believe the devs will nerf a majority of their player base's most loved perk (DH)?

They already nerfed many of survivors meta perks in the last perk rework, including DH.

please don't make this a killer v survivor thing. this is about eruption. there are plenty of survivor versions of this, but those aren't happening currently, so i don't want to muddy the conversation by talking about anything other than eruption right now.

How do you know? The notes only mentioned one perk being changed, not all of the changes.

  • Can y’all just be PATIENT?! It literally only mentioned an eruption nerf, because it’s the most anticipated perk nerf. A mod already said the notes did not encompass all the perk changes.

Hahaha your third point hits me straight in the face (have an upvote) because of my personal maybe unpopular opinion:

    • If swf (skilled survivor with good use of comms) is what basekit survivor should be, then nurse's powerlevel (as played by skilled players) is what all killers should be at.

Imo tier lists will always exist regardless how strong characters are, but the gap between killer tiers should be lessened by buffing the weaker killers.

    • Comnunity is survivor sided. Solobuff to swf level good, nerf top killers.

You know, I used to think that same thing! I thought the best thing to do was bring all killers up to the level of blight and nurse. But I realized how boring that could become. I definitely think the weaker killers could receive buffs… but not to the level of our strongest killers.

I think the best way to do it, is leave the weaker killers easy to use, and keep the strong killers harder to learn and get good with.

  • @appleas said:

If the majority of the Killerbase opts out of playing against swf, then BHVR needs to look at why so many players dislike going against swf instead of waiting for so long to acknowledge that swf has an easier time and buff solo queue as a bandaid option.

You cannot nerf / punish people for playing with friends. That’s a bad look.

Well I'm aware of map collision being hard to fix. But they really should focus on that. The hitboxes on Borgo are hot garbage

    I agree wholeheartedly.

  • @Zeidoktor said:

Isn't there cross progression between Microsoft and Steam? Could that be used or is xbox totally separate?

    There is not, unfortunately.

  • Crazy that they complain about tunneling with 4BNP and meta builds. 😂 That’s actually hilarious.

Job well done friend, I love seeing squads like this fall.

A note for survivor mains who see this, dead dawg is not a great map to try stuff like this on. The gen spread his tiny and the whole map besides main is terrible for chase. Just a tip…

  • • Blight is one of the most balanced killers in the game. He’s got the perfect basekit and addon spread. Only thing to be looked at is alch ring and c33. Many people on here just don’t like killers that put up a challenge.

    • Dead hard as it is is completely fair. It does not need anymore nerfs.

    • The game should not be completely balanced across all killers. I think it’s important to have S tier killers and C/D tier killers. I believe it would be boring if each killer had the same potential to kill a survivor, and each game, survivors have the same possible ratio to winning or losing regardless of the killer. Achieving a 4k with Freddy or trapper is much more rewarding than getting a 4k with nurse. And vice versa, you get a much better feeling of escaping vs a nurse or blight vs escaping pretty easily against a trapper. Hot take, but I hope that makes sense.

    • BHVR is a really solid game developing company, compared to many that we’ve seen.

if I think of more, I’ll edit.

    Edit:

    • camping and tunneling are legit ways to play, and should not be nerfed because one side doesn’t like it. Same for gen rush squads and heal squads.

    Edit again:

    • I don’t get the hype about otz and his opinions. There’s nothing special about his gameplay or what he says about the game.

  • I would love to see a vampire killer as well. It’s a stable of the horror genre and we don’t have it in DBD yet. I think it’s time!

Mandy already confirmed that hug tech is being considered a bug and will therefore be removed someday (though this is BHVR we are talking about so no idea if this ever happens). The thing that kinda annoys me is that hug tech allows you to preserve one rush which should never be a thing. Though I'm against removing it unless they fix map collision so you can bump on any object properly.

I know, I wasn’t really implying they WONT fix it. I’m just saying that across the history of gaming, bugs have been implemented into games as features. I would say it’s possible for the hug tech to be kept. I think fixing collision is an extremely tricky task, hence why it hasn’t been done yet. And it’s not a game breaking aspect of blight.

I appreciate your last point, of keeping it until the normal collision is fixed. That’s completely fair.

I hope they do nerf his addons, vial is busted af, the token recharge should not exist, alchemist ring, c33, tag.

I get it, the devs didn't think this killer would be that strong so they added bunch of no brain addons to the killer but times have changed and people learned how to play this killer.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3340382#Comment_3340382

Oh so we are going to talk about the one side of this exploit that has counterplay I see, I see.

Lets definitely not talk about how it is being used on tiles to use less rushes, getting around loop faster and then using bump logic.

Naaaah lets just talk about 1 hug tech rush and then trying to hit someone on pallet.

    Cringe bug exploiting kid. :)

I just wonder why do the mods even allow you to have an exploit in your name, that's just so weird to me.

Dude, what are you even talking about? There’s no “sides” to a huh tech.. a hug tech is a hug tech..

I’m sorry you don’t know how to counter it, “kid”.

    Strange behavior lmao.

    he literally directly quoted you

Basekit blight, when played as intended is probably the most balanced killer in the game. If you keep hugtech in as is, blight should be made 110% imo.

Go ahead and direct quote me where I said “it doesn’t work”.

    I’ll wait. Thanks.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/364005/would-you-still-play-blight-if

this pretty much doesnt affect people that dont rely on strong addon combos to be good , blight is already pretty good basekit , about the slow recharge i think thats something fair if you think about it , because compared to other killer blight can get all 5 tokens within 8 seconds already soo , meanwhile legion and ghostface needs to wait like 20 seconds + their cooldown for certain things...

"reworked collision" not sure about that ....blight is already pretty fun to play and go against ( if no broken addons on the table) and changing the collision somehow i think can result into making blight more clunky and unfun to play as.

Base recharge is 10 seconds btw. But I don’t think you can compare his power to the likes of legion and ghostface. They just work so differently. Legion can injure an entire team in a short amount of time with built in slow down / information. Ghostface is a stealth killer with instadown power. If ghostface’s power recharged super fast, he’d probably be a broken killer.

  • @Hannacia said:

Don't camp pallets. Most of the times it doesn't work. Crouch if you can it silences your voices and sometimes confuses the spirit. Unless they have an addon that gives you away.

Spirit is very audio based killer so not having audio is already making it so much harder for you to counter her since you cannot tell which side she's coming from or how far is she.

W gaming and prepalleting works against her if you really cant rely on audio, but remember if you are running out in the open she will catch you fast. Iron will is still a handy tool against her even if it doesnt silence you 100%.

When i play spirit i play with my headset at 80-100 volume because some survivors are so damn quiet. Ace is one of them.

People who say she isnt counterable here just want everyone to be trappers :)

That last part is so accurate. 😂😂

  • This whole idea of one side being able to opt out from some aspect (SWF/specific killers) is absurd. It would destroy Q times.

People say SWF and immediately think it’s a sweatlord team. An actual super sweat team is not THAT common. Majority of SWF’s are just casually buddies playing a game together, just as effective as a common solo q lobby with a little more coordination.

If nobody wants to play against nurse or blight, that's a pretty strong indication they are in dire need of some changes so people actually want to play them, wouldn't you say?

Blight is one of the most fun killers to go against, according to many of the forums threads.

Nurse isn’t complained about nearly as much..

but no, people complaining about something does not mean it needs changes. People like to complain about things that inconvenience them in the slightest.

  • @legacycolt said:

There’s not much you can do against spirit. Try to not get injured at all cost and if you’re injured, camp pallets if she’s phasing towards you. If you have no headset/ bad ears you don’t have a chance.

    Spirit needs a nerf imo

That’s why you say she needs a nerf… you don’t know how to counter her. Why would you try and camp a pallet against a phasing spirit? It’s the most OBVIOUS thing survivors do, and 9 times out of 10, you will not react fast enough to drop the pallet in time.

  • @Bwsted said:

Just about as much as I play him now, since I go addonless on all killers 99% of the time.

The misconception is that the hug tech is a super strong “bug”. In reality, it’s just a more fun, less efficient way to play around tiles. Bump logic is superior.

Yeah, it's not that good... that's why the sweatiest sweatlords do it and it's heavily used even in tournaments. Not for efficiency or because it works. Just for shits and giggles.

    https://media.tenor.com/Hdt6LGSACs4AAAAM/jennifer-lawrence-thumbs-up.gif

Is that what I said? Or are you putting words in my mouth? Where did I say it “doesn’t work”? Please go back and read what I said. Maybe try comprehension this time around.

We use it because it’s fun. It’s much more fun than using bump logic all the time, but it is much more punishing if you don’t land the hit.

Bump logic can guarantee a hit that you MIGHT land with a hug tech, and all of the good blights will say the same thing.

It's not really that weird, beside the exaggerated tones.

Between the boundaries of normal gameplay, you get more envelopes that you're able to spend, unless you just decide to get to the bp cap and waste bp. And it's often impossibile to avoid them in the bloodweb.

So, it's really disappointing to be left with a huge stack of an item that you couldn't avoid, that's going to be useless for a whole year, and even then it's going to pile up again.

It just feels like a bp sink.

What’s the difference between those and brown / yellow addons that you never use??

How are they a BP sink then they literally pay for themselves plus some. You got what, 5k just for somebody opening yours?

Idk about you, but I made a ton of BP off envelopes.

I understand not wanting to have a fat stack left over, but BHVR wanted to ensure nobody ran out of envelopes during the event. If they didn’t give as many as they did, then you’d have people making this exact same thread, but it’d be “stupid incompetent BHVR can’t do anything right and they don’t give me enough envelopes for the event blah blah blah.”

  • Yea I would. His basekit does not need to be nerfed in the slightest though.

    @egg_ said:

When you say techs, do you mean 'bugs'? I believe that's the more accurate word, as they were confirmed to be such

There are many times that “bugs” make it into the game as full accepted features.

    @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

I don't know if Its bug or not but something like "You look down your camera to be able to rush without bumping into something" (sliding) etc.

Looking down to avoid collision was implemented on purpose. They didn’t mean to make it work at the start of a rush though, which is the hug tech.

The misconception is that the hug tech is a super strong “bug”. In reality, it’s just a more fun, less efficient way to play around tiles. Bump logic is superior.

  • I mean outside of hearing… it’s just random mind games. Move sporadically. Pre drops pallets, don’t camp and wait.

  • Honestly not a bad idea. The only issue I could see is people who legitimately DC’d via wifi drops or what not catching the badge.

I wouldn't say he's the easiest because there are some much easier to loop but easier to loop than Crow Mama simce he has to stop to drop a knight

I said one of, not THE easiest.

  • I mean… dude, you can literally just leave the tile. Don’t stand there and wait for him to trap you. Knight is one of the easiest killers to loop.

  • 5 wraiths in a row? hmmm. In my many years of DBD I think I’ve only had a killer repeat 3 times and it’s only happened once.

  • yet another weird thing to complain about.

  • @BeccaDenson said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3339757#Comment_3339757

Yes but I've got some points that actually makes it more playable than tombstone Myers, at least for the ones who know how to loop

I mean, 3 heath state, faster gens per sacrifice, no scratch marks, easier to wiggle free

It means more fun chases for survivors but paying a heavy price when they fail

In killers perspective: harder to catch survivors once you catch them they're done

But I understand this solves one issue but creates another

Ok but what does this mean for killers like bubba, billy, ghost face, etc?

Your idea is too flawed. Some killers could absolutely capitalize off of it and games would be over instantly. I can end chases fast as a blight main. Even with them timing a DH, I can still end a chase in 20-30 seconds (hitting through 3 health states).

Boom, 25 seconds into the game, one survivor dead. Nahhh it just would be terrible in practice.

  • Literally just push them out. It’s not that hard.

  • In between legion, clown, plague.

  • I’m a pretty friendly blight after I’ve reached iri 1.

  • Jesus no, enough with the basekit sh*t man. Y’all want the whole damn perk roster basekit at this rate.

  • Most balanced, and most engaging killer in the game. Only killer that I haven’t gotten bored of playing, even after 1200+ hours on him.

Extremely fun and addicting to play.

I think the people that call for nerfs are just lacking in ability or game knowledge to counter him. Alch ring and c33 are probably the only things that need looking at.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Add a good Billy to that list. A high level Billy will end a bully squad in about 20 seconds. I think I've ended games quicker on Billy than Nurse.

Absolutely. I’d go ahead and add oni and spirit to the list. Killers with high snowball potential can really end a bully squad quickly.

  • I could make some stupidly OP builds with 6 slots.

  • Blight, oni, billy. Rarely see them.

  • 1) terrible idea. This would kill the game for a lot of people.

    2) as a blight main, I can tell you this would change absolutely nothing about how I play. I’m still going to destroy teams using only m2. I wouldn’t care about a perma injure, makes no difference, and I can confidently say that on behalf of the other GOOD blight mains.

  • I don’t need to tunnel most of the time. The only time I will, is if I’m playing for the win and don’t have somebody dead by 2 gens. Then I will focus somebody out.

Only other reason is if somebody decides to be overly BM’d. I.E starts teabagging and pointing at the first pallet of the game, then I match that energy and kill them off 3 hooks in a row.

Depends on how the survivors play. I go into every game chill, but I’ll meet toxic with toxic.

  • @FMG15 said:

I agree. However my main issue with DH right now is that it's being overused. I see like 3 DH in most matches. It's getting annoying.

I do as well, but I essentially turn it into a wasted perk slot. They may get one use out of it, then no more.

  • @Warlord1981NL said:

It's what survivors want. They want to be slugged, camped and tunneled. If they didn't, they wouldn't force me to. I play The Doctor, The Dredge, The Cenobite and The Artist. I like their stuff but at my MMR there is no point in playing fair because every match looks like this:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ZCNSAMU2UQO3/image.png

II'll be lucky to get 1 kill if I play fair. And so I don't. This is why survivors should be forced to run completely unique perks because every chase takes minutes on end to complete. Killers are lacking far too much power against this nonsense. And to be clear: this is pretty much all I encounter. Full SWF cheating through use of Discord, Telepathy by Daylight HUD and these broken builds. And what does BHVR do... Look into nerfing Eruption and Boon: Circle of Healing. BHVR is a total joke. With this you don't even need skill. Just run to killer shack or one of the far many loops on a map and it'll take minutes for me to get you. Might be a different story with nurse or blight (from what I read on these forums but grain of salt taken because the exact same people complain about Eruption despite if I were to rate it myself it would be a 3.5 on a scale of 1 to 5 at best) here but most killers have no way of dealing with this bs in ways that is even remotely timely considering how much BHVR has boosted gen rushing. No point in switching to a different survivor either because the same bullshit will start over. This garbage is ruining the game.

Remove SWF or at least give me option to exclude from getting matched against time (I am fine going up against 2-man, 4-man is just not fun in any way, shape or form as it is an automatic loss), nerf these stupidly OP perks, enforce unique perks on survivor or at least penalize not running unique perks. There's 30 killers and 28 of them are useless against this bs, if I am to believe the forum, since there are only two that is being complained about and I assume that is because they can't win by holding W and pressing spacebar every now and again.

I hate to say it dude but those builds are FARRRR from meta. 1 green DH, No Adrenaline, no Unbreakable, no OTR, etc etc. Those are extremely casual / new player builds. Those perks are far from OP.

You say to remove SWF and punish people for not running “unique” perks?? Dawg….. You cannot be serious.😂

  • I’m really not having trouble with dead hard. It’s very easy to predict if they have it, and when they’re going to use it.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Yeah, Prestige Levels should disappear in the Lobby. (Same with names and profiles)

I dont even understand why anyone gives anything about Prestige Levels of Survivors. It is way more likely that someone has a high Prestige Level as Survivor compared to Killer, because Killers usually play more than one Character, while many Survivor players are sticking to one character and are more likely to have a higher Prestige Level because of this.

IMO someone who has every Killer at P15 is more scary to face than any P100-Survivor.

I got my main killer p100 before doing a p100 survivor. Just for that reason, you never see p100 killers.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/363224/intentionally-let-survs-escape-to-lower-mmr

100%, this is actually what i have done lately and it has made my experience a lot better for a few of my killers. Basically it works like this:

    • On the 13th ranks reset
    • Tryhard until i get to rank 1.
    • After i'm rank 1, i can no longer down rank so i do the following:
    • I hook every survivor 2 times, and kill the obsession (no reason for the obsession outside of roleplay/gives a specific target)
    • Then i max out my brutality, deviousness, and chaser BPs for the match.
    • wdAfter that, i let them escape.

    This does a few things:

    • I only kill 1 survivor, so my MMR (probably, it is anecdotal) goes down
    • I still get enough hooks to get ~75% bloodpoints on hooks
    • I max out my bloodpoints in the other categories
    • Survivors are generally happy because most of them escape and get more bloodpoints
    • My future matches are more chill.
    • Once rank resets again, it becomes easier to tryhard and i get rank 1 even faster.

    Exactly what I do too.

  • @Kimplir said:

I understand that point however it is off topic from this subject matter and if it dosen't add anything to this nor is relevant to this they can if they want add a new thread which is a recommendation placed in the forum rules outlining that people should not go off topic.

But if I where to add anything to that it would simply be that then why not also give that option to survivors to also block killer perks.

That’s why this whole idea is absolutely terrible. It would never stop with the boundary pushing.

Survivors just need to suck it up and play against whatever killer they get, and vice versa with survivor builds. It’s not that serious.

  • Because everybody in the forums is apparently a professional dev and know how this all works.
