Give her the xeno/wesker/nemesis/singularity treatment. Add a type of tool that spawns in the trial for her games that allows you to counter her power or supress it briefly.Huh.
That's a pretty interesting idea. If done effectively other adjustments could be made (such as her speed) so she falls more in line with the norms.
Going through what you suggested.
An aoe that supresses her power similar to the emp for singularity, (could be some sort of charm or like a photo of her husband) could also be placable like xenos turrets as a one shot counter that fizzles after and has to be replaced.Yeah, that would be neat. Call it something like Manifestation, she gains normal movement but loses the blink.
An adrenaline syringe that can be used for speed bursts, maybe with 2/3 uses and a 20/30 second cool down in between. It's medically themed and adds an element of skill to countering her, making nurses consider speed bursts into planning blinks.I don't think that one works. I get the possibility that you have gameplay were each side is trying to bait out the other, but I think it mostly just results in speeding away from the Nurse.
Some kind of stealth tool to allow you to temporarily hide from her, like turn invisible for 2/3 seconds, again with multiple uses and a sizable cooldown.Not sure how that would work. Is it like Dracula where when she is holding her power the survivor disappears and she has to guess?
Fight fire with fire, a charm or artifact that allows the survivor to briefly copy nurses power and blink to avoid her. Probably a one shot.I don't think there's any chance of that happening, but its very funny to imagine.
Bring back lightburn: perhaps add guaranteed torch spawns or a specialised item that allows survs to hinder nurse during a blink, requires good timing and skill.That's a pretty straightforward one, I like it, we just return to a mechanic that worked without having to rely on creating something new.
For simplicity - special light objects. For more interesting gameplay that's something of a partial rework, dropables that can interfere with her blink. Those also seems to be the most 'you can others, not just yourself', which I think makes for a more interesting design.
Nice to see someone who actually read the post in detail lol. Yh tbh out of the ideas i came up with the first one is probably the most viable since it'd make her work like xeno and just help add a little time to her chases. Perhaps bump her to 4.4 at the same time so she isn't completely useless when her power is suppressed.

It's legion syndrome. He's a real seal clubbing killer. Uncoordinated teams and newer players struggle against him because he keeps everyone permainjured. A combination of panicking causing mistakes and the misplay of wasting time trying to heal when you really should just put that time into gens.
The auto hit is irritating af but once he's hit that /if you're already injured then all you've got is an M1 killer who can close distances with traversal. He's super easy to loop you just have to keep your cool and have good pathing. I.e. always be within spitting distance of a halfway decent pallet or window.

It would be nice but it's impractical in reality. What would the game look for? How would you prevent it unfairly banning people who happen to point at your locker or wiggle while downed and facing you?

Yet another person complaining about the nurse, but who won’t show us any videos of their matches against her. Because, of course, she’s the problem—there’s no way the other side could be at fault too...
Nobody asked me to. I can easily take clips during my next nurse match. I know the theoretical counter play. Hold w and break LoS, move unpredictably. But that doesn't work reliably against a good nurse. I'd love to hear how she's balanced being far and away the top S tier killer in the game with a lower skill curve than blight. But from your pfp I'd imagine I'm dealing with a nurse main here so I'd imagine the bias is pretty strong.

Going hold W and breaking line of sight is her only real counter so dont just drown yourself here, even when she ignoners objects almost all of them she still gets held of when survivor is holding W worst thing is staing at loop where she can blink through.
She is very special as playable character because of her stats and power, she cant be played as 155 or 110% speed killer so her power must cover everything logicaly when she cant catch survivors by just holding W as other killers and is actualy loosing chase if she doesnt use her power.
She cant be nerfed much she is pretty fragile with her execution so she is more likely for rework than some hard nerfs some folk here are suggesting.
Edit:::::.
ahh aura perks on nurse, well spirit is only killer who doesnt or cant use them when using her power which should nurse have some time ago and they didnt even needed to make her blink hits special attacks because the aura part was in my oppinion greater issue than exposed effect form perks just look at which perks get nerfed because of it was it starstruck or was it weskers awearness perk??
But thing is you cant blind her compleatly when she uses m2 because it would kill majority of aura perks on her and going against nurse with full endgame/gen deffence isnt much better than full aura nurse but some kind of blind like spirit or dracula in bat form she should have and I think she would be kinda worthy of being s-tier because she would be played just through pure skill.
"She cant be nerfed much she is pretty fragile with her execution"
This was the whole point of my original post. Yes nerfing her power would absolutely gut her. This is why I was suggesting that survivors are given tools to allow counterplay. There is a major difference. Tbh with this her move speed could afford to be bumped to 4.4 to allow her to m1 while her power is disabled or whatever. Then she is in a similar position to xenomorph. Who has to m1 when his tail shot is disabled by flame turrets. It wouldn't ruin nurse because even if you used the exact same mechanics as xenopmorph she'd still be stronger because her power's better.
-
@Mrpugalug916 said:
Just no, idk how many times survivors want killers nerfed but all thats going to do is alienate one side while the other is constantly getting buffed.
I don't often advocate for killer nerfs, individual or across the board. I'm defo not a tribal survivor main. I only do it when a killer is objectively busted. Like nurse.
-
@Abbzy said:
There isnt much to change she will either be very strong or very bad so its more of rework thing than anything else.
We are speaking here about killer who is 4% slower than survivors base running speed and must rely on her power only thats why its not so simple compare to blight or any other killer because she cant do anything without her power not even chase survivor which outrun her.
Her power is why she's broken. Anyone going for shift w and m1 hits with nurse is either playing her wrong or capitalising on survivors making howling misplays.
Her power nullifies all the tools survs usually use in chase, pallets, vaults, flashlights are useless. Even breaking LoS doesn't work well with her. Particularly if she's being used with an aura read build. This is why I'm suggesting we add tools that allow survivors to temporarily counter or hinder her power. Otherwise the only counter to her is hiding to avoid chase or the unreliable 50/50 of trying to mind game her.
-
@katoptris said:
She already got nerfed it just people can't loop her the same way you do others.
She got locked out of a couple of perks by making her blink strikes not count as basic hits. That's not much. And looping a good nurse is basically impossible, any aura reads and a bit of m&k magic and chased last seconds.

Makes sense.
Something between map wide Bond and nothing then.
Maybe basekit Kindred minus killer aura and always show gen auras that have survs working on them to avoid deliveries?Sounds pretty good. I've always wondered why kindred isn't basekit. One of the reasons solo q games are usually such a disaster is that either noone goes for unhooks and killer gets free hook stages, or multiple ppl mob hook and lose gen time/give up easy hits to killer.

infectious fright is incredibly broken. You don’t even need to look at the killer and scream. It needs to be fixed.
You must hate going against a killer using spies from the shadows.
-
Good shout. Could do with favouriting perks too. I'm sick and tired of trawling through the milliom different survivor perks trying to find my regular crutches. Let us mark favourites and filter them to make builds more easily.
-
Basekit bond is too much. Swfs have an advantage with communication but dbd maps aren't great for callouts beyond major ones like main and shack etc. It doesn't really compare to full surv aura reads all the time.
Basekit empathy might be ok to let solo q players get heals a little easier. Perhaps highlight gens that are being worked/show progress on them.

@Mandy said:
This was something that was kind of in the game at the start, you could see the profile of the killer and from that deduce what killer you were playing against. It is not something we will go back to for a multitude of reasons but one in particular - is that Survivors can quite easily change their build to counter the killer ie put on Calm Spirit when facing a Doctor. Its definitely not what we intend for the game.
Could a system not be added where players can use settings to opt out of playing against certain killers that trigger phobias or epilepsy issues?
I play with a friend who has emetophobia and she always gets distressed when we end up against a plague, clown obviously has issues for coulraphobic players, doctor's current visual effects are triggering seizures in some.
-
Nah, it's like every major change. People will whinge about, you'll get one or two players on here making attention seeky "I'm quitting the game" posts, a few players may stop playing, probably to come back in a month or two. But across the board most players will just adapt and deal with it.
-
So I've watched that video, and i play a lot of nemesis (he's my second most played killer behind my beloved demo) and the majority of those suggested changes are busted. There are some good points but most of it is just OP.
I know people want their killers to be more "lore accurate" but lore accurate and balanced pull in two different directions. Demogorgons can canonically outrun speeding trucks and tear apart fully armed and trained squads of military personnel in seconds, pyramid head is a god's avatar, hellraiser has a similar level of power. Yet they all still regularly get dunked on by 4 unenhanced humans with nothing but pallets, torches, moxy and the odd flashbang to fight back with in games. If you want a lore accurate reason for these changes then it's because the entity nerfs them to balance trials and give survivors hope of escape to allow the entity to glean the maximum sustenance from each trial.
Nemesis' base kit power is fine, pretty well balanced imo, it has skill expression, and is dodgeable. The tyrant rush is a potential alternative, but I don't see why we gotta fix what isn't broke. I do like the roar idea, making the zombies a little controlable would be a good change. The rocket launcher is just plain nuts. That youtuber suggests a laser to make it dodgeable but also then make it redirectable. To hell with that, if I get instadowned across the map because nemi read my aura and curved a f@*&ing rocket in through a doorway then I'm going to disconnect. Just no.
As for his addon pass suggestions, he has some points. For sure nemi's add on kit is pretty naff, addons are either boring but consistent or interesting but pointless. Unfortunately most of the suggestions are pretty OP, nothing wrong with a good add on list but all S tier add ons is too much. He does have some good ideas for it but yh moderation.
Nemi is really solid B tier imo and the game needs those. The killers I enjoy playing as and against are generally that sort of level. They require skill to play while still being accessible, they can be countered by survs without being too weak. We do not need to make every killer S tier, because S tier basically means uncounterable if the killer is skilled. Look how many people hate playing against nurse and blight. Because they suck, either the killer player is good and it's a hatch game at 3 gens, or they suck and exit gates are open after 2/hooks.

How do you know they could be banning them all the time but they just buy/take another account and keep going. I just don't get why streaming platforms themselves are not doing anything when if I am not wrong most of those have rules that you should not be cheating in the games you stream.
It's not about the game accounts. They have a youtube. Honestly surprised bhvr don't take propwr action against them for exploiting their IP for making money by breaking terms of service. The youtube will have links to a website or ways to get in contact so they could take legal action against them.
-
Honestly crazy that nothing's being done about people openly violating terms of service and making money off of cheats made for dbd.

It has been quite nice sitting in lobby the last few months. I do miss the stranger things menu, the mindflayer lurking in the background was pretty cool. Shame they don't make it so some characers have their custom chapter backgrounds in lobby.

This skin looks amazing, but it should have went to the Dredge rather than Nurse. Mainly because you only encounter the Collector in complete darkness and it fits better with the overall them of the skin.
Tbh when I see collector, the stance and the floatiness really puts me in mind of nurse. If they were to make a dredge skin I reckon it'd fit inchoate flesh with the pig head better. Plus collector doesn't only show up in the dark, I think you're thinking of the shambler, that would also make a dope dredge skin
The plague doctor one disappoints me most (not much though) sure it works on a survivor. But it would have made an amazing legendary skin for clown. The knife, and the fact she throws the plague grenades and uses speed boosting chemicals fits his basekit to a tee.

Untill you meet sabbo swf that realy holds you back with boon and place from which you cant hook like main in crotus pren or plagues map and do gens on top of it and they can loop for solid time, than its hard situation not every killer is equiped to deal with especialy weaker ones and no, slugging wont save you because they have plenty of tools to deal with their strongest counter and 4man slug is super risky strategy not so great on all killers.
Idk sabo squads never really caused me much issue. Once I clocked that tactic i just planned my hooks carefully and capitalised on the free hits from the bodyblocks.

Yh 2v1 is always interesting. I'll absolutely leave someone to die on hook, going for that unhook really just ensures you both die. And conversley I'm not bothered about dying on hook in a 2v1. I'll rush it too so other person can get hatch.
I wouldn't rat in 2v1s personally. Whoever gets naturally caught first takes the L.

It's the instant giving up that has been the most frustrating tbh. Like not matter which side I'm playing when it happens it makes me pretty angry lol.
Oh I totally agree. Irritates me as survivor when someone rage quits and leaves a bot after their first down (better than it used to be without bots though) and when the killer quits too, just denies chance for bloodpoints
-
Tldr: the game has a meta and is frustrating.

I'm not one of those killers who slugs 4 people at 5 gens or bms on the floor an yet i'm often treated like trash by the survivor players.Not sure if they're catching youre meaning when you do this. If you're going to give people a chance, do it later in the game. If you leave them on the first down they'll assume that you're slugging amd a toxic killer.
My usual pattern is I'll take the easy hooks at the start. Then late game if I down someone who's been double hooked, if they've had a bad game, then I leave them, maybe give them a nod. That way they were expecting to get sacrificed and get to play more. They know they're beat and that I made an active decision to spare them/give them more time. People *might* be more chill if you do it that way but no guarentee.
Personally I usually spare one or two people if it's an easy game.

Nah self care needs to be slow or there's no point in medkits, and killers couldn't create pressure by injuring people because they could just heal themselves super quick.

So at least 50% of total hook states, 1 kill, hooked everyone and only 1 surv best you on bp. Against a full co ordinated meta perk build team. If that was your worst game that day, the rest must've been pretty good.

You do not have the authority to police this game as if you were some form of in game moderator. You breaking rules to "counter the troll" means you are now guilty of breaking rules. It's really that simple. Your ego is the only reason you find it "acceptable" to try and rulebreak your way into "countertrolling." If you don't want to risk a ban, then don't break the rules.
I never said I did, you're the one who's making thinly veiled accusations that I pull these kinds of stunts. Which by the way I don't.
I was interested to see what peoples instinct was in these situations. Since the absolute rules in this game aren't exactly well enforced. As evidenced by the consistent active hackers/cheaters in the game still being rife.

thing is its not about how good they are but more like the gameplay as a survivor is stale with those perks and get literally big speed boost for nothing while killers have to to something ( i am reffering to the weaker one without a real mobbility). You can use sprint burst whenever you want you will get it quickly, lithe the same thing as SB (sprint burst), overcome is not useless people are just not using it but getting a speed boost for getting punished (getting hit) its kinda a weird balance decision. smash hit literally needs a skill to get the most stuns as possible plus predicting a killer movement is a skill. The main thing that i tried to say is that the survivor could be more lively by not just pressing a button and getting benefits without any requirements.
You didn't read my post. You can not use these perks whenever you want.
Lithe: you are locked into speed boost on your first vault in a chase. You don't really get to make the decision exactly when you proc it, it can't be saved till mid chase.
Sprint burst: you have to hobble yourself until chase starts, losing time on map traversal, which slows your gen work and makes it easier to get caught. Like lithe, it has to be triggered straight away, even earlier, the second chase starts, bam, it's used. you don't have a choice.
If it was sprint burst on command with a hotkey like during 2v8 I could get it being complained about.
Really the only exhaustion perk that gives a true choice of when to use it is balanced landing, and that one is so situational that it isn't enough of a problem to be considered OP.
As for the killer to survivor comparison? A 3 second speed boost for survivor in chase buys a few extra seconds. A hasted killer during chase on the other hand? Gets downs much faster and applies way more pressure.
Simply put haste boosts are less helpful to survivors than they are for killer. Which is why killers don't get easy access to them and survivors do. And survs don't get it all their own way, made for this provided perma haste on release, that got changed pretty quick.
@Filipino1490 said:
I just wanted to say my opinion thats all.
Nobody's saying you can't, but you have to prepared for people who disagree to say their opinion too.
-
This is a very killer sided post.
Sprint burst while it is annoying af to me when I play killer does have a pretty big downside. You have to walk everywhere. Doing so costs the survivor a LOT of time over the course of the game. Once it's out of the way you know it won't come up again during chase.
Lithe is definitely the easiest exhaustion perk to trigger, but do I think it's unbalanced? Not particularly. Triggering on your fast vault in a chase means you gain time at the start of a chase just like sprint burst, usually all it does is help ensure you make it to the next tile.
Exhaustion Perks are pretty necessary for survs to make a decent start in a chase. But they are all one shots as a rule (beyond using a second perk slot to remove exhaustion) Plus they can be countered by running exhaustion perks like mind breaker etc.
Also smash hit isn't really a skill thing. Pallet stuns are usually more about how the killer plays, and overcome is already the weakest exhaustion perk. Idk why that one in particular needs nerfing into even more uselessness.

So because someone breaks the law and runs a red light, does it then give you the authority to do the same? Two wrongs don't make a right. Put your ego away and realize that this person's behavior has nothing to do with you, nor will your attempt at vigilante moderation change anything about the person you are trying to spite.
The only thing you can do is leave a report and move on.
Skewed example. Breaking the rules of a game isn't anything like breaking the literal law. Someone running a red doesn't directly affect me and driving dangerously to "teach them a lesson" is insane and dangerous.
Somebody breaking the rules in a game I'm playing to ruin it for me and all others involved, when i have a theoretical way to counter it and I just shrug, roll over and let them get away with throwing the game so they can get hatch? Doesn't seem the same.

Working with the killer under any circumstances as a survivor, no matter the intention, is against the rules per the in game report system "working with the killer." Unless those categories and wording are changed, it is not okay period. Likewise, killers can be reported as well by "refusing to participate in normal gameplay."
Tl;dr - for both sides, it is clearly against the rules and a bannable offense no matter the intention.
So a survivor is allowed to deliberately throw the game, sandbag and ruin the game for all involved with no penalty then?
I'm not asking if it's against the game rules because i know it categorically is. I'm just asking for people's personal take on it. If someone is going to ruin your game by breaking the rules themselves, and you have a way to combat it in the moment would you do so? Like if you could sandbag someone who was hacking and ruining the game for all 4 other players and stop them from cheating, I think most people would.
