  • I think he should get high movement speed during T1 and I think he should have more stalk from survivors. Honestly the devs just need to fix the trash map tile spawns, even on the reworks some of the maps are just flat out bs (groaning storehouse, I have even seen coal tower with 3 jungle gym windows all facing one another for a legit infinite chain.) The graphic overhaul did not fix terrible maps, and terrible maps make M1 killers utterly weak.

  • Hey man, I had a 27k point match as GF and had 3 kills and the game still depipped me.

  • Map size and tile chains. A super big map like Disturbed Ward has the same amount of gens required as a tiny map like The Game. Tile chains are a bigger problem at higher level of play, the devs themselves don't seem to understand how unbelievably strong some windows can become just because of another window close to it or sometimes even a strong pallet. Also they don't seem to realize the strength of some tiles vs others, such as a long wall jungle gym being significantly stronger than something like a T and L wall.

Depends. You guys ignore the simple fact that I'M good. Any killer that cant down me fast is therefore bad even if I'm at the top of my game and it is very stupid way to think. What if you had noob3 and ussylis and Aaron and jrm as a swf and they wreck a good nurse? Is she not good anymore?

You give yourself way to much credit, you only sound arrogant. Nurse is the power role in chases that means if she doesn't mess up then nothing you do changes the outcome of the chase meaning your skill has absolutely no factor in the chase to being with only her skill. Sorry dude but she wasn't a good Nurse and no you aren't that good.

  • I'm glad you had fun but I'm going to come out and say she was NOT a good Nurse. A good Nurse truly has no counter-play at all, she will down you in less than 20s, so running a "1-2min" chase means she wasn't good. A good Nurse you don't have chases with at all, you just go down.

  • Object, this perk shouldn't exist in any capacity, there is no reason to have unlimited information on the killer when 90% of this game is being unpredictable, object removes this and in the hands of a swf it free information for all 4 survivors with only "risk" to one. For killers I wouldn't remove anything that I consider unhealthy, there are plenty of useless perks (predator, blood hound, etc.) but I don't know any that are outright unhealthy for the game.

  • This depends on the Oni player honestly, if he gets his power most Oni players just spam their demon dash, you can counter this by T and L walls as well as the killer shack, a good Oni player though you can't do anything other than just consume as much of his power as you can before you go down. A smart Oni player knows how to counter shack and will just walk at you during a T and L wall to instantly down you instead of dashing around a corner. Best tip is don't greed pallets, throw them down early and prevent him from getting his power, his power is probably the strongest in the game I would put it above even Nurse, it's limited though and that's what you need to abuse to counter him.

  • We won't know for probably a year or something, I would be very surprised if they changed them any time soon.

  • "If the killer is playing optimal then I d/c every time!" That's all I'm getting out of comments in this thread, like it or not but map design combined with gen speed forces a killer to slug if they want a chance at winning, so you d/cing because he is doing what he must to win just means you are a sore loser. You have a bleed out timer, you aren't slugged all game, sooner or later you bleed out.

  • SWFs being the issue is just a symptom of the real problem: core mechanics that can be abused are not dealt with properly, more often than not they are a bad-aid fix (perks.)

  • All I got out of this was you dislike that killers use BBQ reads to find a slugged survivor (most likely YOU.) BBQ is a good perk but not even remotely close to the "strongest" it's used because it is universally useful in nearly every build AND you get double points. The entire perk is a perfect example of a perk done perfectly: it motivates you to NOT camp or tunnel and rewards you accordingly, with useful points and aura reading to help you find a different survivor. I'm sorry but I disagree with you on every one of your points, I think BBQ is the shining example of a perk done perfectly and I wish more were like it.

I mean, I got 4K anyway, because they sucked at looping, but every single one of them ran for this loop and there's not much you can do about it.

inside killer shack -> shack window -> jungle gym window

how are you supposed to chase them? go all the way around? vault shack window and go around? vault both windows? all those options create huge gap between you and survivor.

I'm being sarcastic lol, setups like these are busted af and should never exist, this is bad map design because the devs don't factor in windows becoming x10 stronger when next to another window.

  • Seems like you just got outplayed to me. kekw

  • It is the small PP build, sorry but if you need that many second chances, that much time being untouchable by the killer than yeah you are bad, no offense. All the best survivors I ever chase never use these crutch builds, want to know why? Because they are good at the game and don't need second chances to escape.

  • I wouldn't nerf her, she is fine (other than bugs and weak add ons.) A good Nurse is extremely hard to play and no you shouldn't be able to counter her if she blinks right on top of you.

  • No it's not, it's a hex perk once it's gone it's gone, 10s of aura reading is extremely weak even combined with other hex perks like haunted grounds, and lets not even get started on the fact that it actually lets the survivors know that the killer can see their aura (that was totally needed btw.)

  • Imagine losing to a mid tier killer KEKW

  • Moris might have been a problem but there are two major issues with how they nerfed them: first is they are totally pointless now, worse than a mist offering, the way they nerfed them was just pathetic and lazy, they could have done many things to make them more fair without making them cosmetic only. The second major issue is the threat of a mori was the only thing that kept keys in check, now that a mori does almost nothing I am seeing keys in nearly every single game now. A change was needed sure, but the change they gave us was lazy and short sighted, which in all honesty isn't that surprising.

  • The game is SWF sided not survivor sided. The devs try to balance the game around solo ques (which is fine) but they don't add countermeasures for SWF abuse. Object is a perfect example of this, in solo que it's a meh perk that can help you or hurt you but in a SWF it's easily the most broken perk in the game, the entire team knows where you are at all times and the killer only knows where one person is. I can go on and on about this (soul guard + for the people x4 is also broken af) but yeah, SWF sided isn't the same as survivor sided.

  • For survivors sure, there is not a lot of difference in skill between the platforms, but for killers PC players are by far much better at the game due to better input and typically better hardware.

Blight's FOV (field of view) is the same as everyone else's. It's the camera's position that's different.

Is there any chance the dev team is considering increasing all killer base FOV? Some killers (like Oni) have more of their screen blocked than actually visible at times due to the low FOV. I get killers shouldn't have a huge FOV because of balance reasons but the current FOV is actually painful on my eyes sometimes, it really could use some consideration.

  • You want a change to make it anti tunnel? 30s duration, timer no longer counts down during a chase, automatically deactivates when you interact with anything other than a window or pallet, also only one DS at a time can be up and permanently deactivated after the final gen is done. There you go, the perk is now fixed and actually an anti tunnel perk without all the bullsh1t.

  • Sounds like someone recently had a game vs a good Slinger and he came to the forums to rant about it.

  • Merry Christmas

  • Honestly I expect them to make it where survivors can wake up from any clock, and honestly that's going to cripple him if they do that, no one will ever be asleep outside of a chase and you will always have to get the first hit with no help from your power (think oni early game.)

  • People will cry about Spirit and PH and such but I think Freddy needs a change, he doesn't need to be made weaker, just require more skill to make use of his kit. He is just brain dead easy and he is also a high tier killer to boot, between his skill floor and base kit power he is easily the strongest killer in the game by a long shot. In short, he's just to stupidly easy to play for how much value he gets, raise the skill floor of him.

  • It's not counter play because the perk doesn't actually have any counter play. I don't wanna hear that crap about "just chase someone else peepeehands!!" No, sometimes you can't, sometimes it's forced on you and some times you stomp on a team so hard that 3-4 of them have DS active all at the same time. The perk needs a deactivation asset to it, people have come up with a thousand ideas to fix it but it's current state is 60-120s of total immunity per survivor.

  • Because there is nothing fun about a killer who basically camps hooks all game long. Hag herself is fine, but the "optimal" way to play her is to leave traps at every person you hook and basically never allow a safe unhook, also known as CAMPING.

  • I think new Ormond is pretty balanced right down the middle, the main building is a bit annoying until the two god pallets inside are gone but other than that it seems fair to me for the most part, I am very happy with the changes (also it looks beautiful graphics wise, easily their best rework graphically.)

  • They serve no purpose besides being cosmetic now.

  • Because one of the weakest killers in the game (well designed or otherwise) shouldn't be nerfed because you find him killing you "unfun"? Moris ending the game early, which is why they were nerfed, tombstone does not, Myers works for it and hard at that.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/214576/thanks-for-nerfing-moris

Well, I hate to be the one to point this out but you can use the Mori EXACTLY the same as many people did before. You just make sure the person hits the 2nd Stage before letting them get unhooked and then Mori them.

You do realize me using a mori on you when you are death hook is just cosmetic right? It doesn't help the game out at all, in fact it takes longer to mori than it does to just hook you so it's actually in your favor if I use a mori not mine. The mori nerf was lazy, there were a ton of other things they could have done to make it more fair but they went with the lazy route (lets be real NO ONE is surprised.)

    Except EGC isn't pointless.

It's a big advantage to killers, and in many ways necessary to prevent games from stretching out indefinitely.

99ing the gate completely removes the entire purpose of the EGC, it's meant to end the game, survivors just 99 the gate so they can ignore the timer thus not ending the game. And please don't tell me "the killer can open the gate themselves!" yeah and if they do they leave any pressure they have and give the survivors time to recover everything, also will opening their escape route. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the EGC should favor killers or survivors, but the only way it forces the game to end is by killing the survivors, remove that threat and you remove the ability to force the game to end.

  • Depends, if you can get your power quickly then Oni hands down, but vs good survivors who deny you that first hit for as long as possible then I would say PH is probably the best, him or Blight.

  • Killers who outplay Survivors are always "boring." The only people who really say this only consider running the killer for 2min+ "interactive."

  • The entire point of this mechanic is that you aren't meant to be able to hide from the killer, period.

  • Yes, this perk combo is busted af in a SWF just like Soul Guard + FTP being busted af in a SWF as well and just like OoO is busted too. They won't nerf it, just get use to being cucked.

  • Hit validation =/= Survivor is hit authority.

  • It wasn't for "consistency" it was just a nerf to impossible skill checks doc.

  • Freddy is B tier, the problem with him is that he is by far the easiest killer to play and has way to much power for how brain dead he is to play. He's a pub smasher plain and simple, and I do agree that is not a good thing.

  • I agree, even if typing takes longer they should still be able to gg if they want to, or at least see ggs. I know a lot of people say "toxic this toxic that" but honestly lets be real, if you didn't play like a c*nt then most of the time people gg.

  • It's not underrated, it's trash.

  • Ever since they butchered moris I have seen keys during more game than not. Seems the threat of a mori kept them fairly in check, now with that gone they are everywhere. I ended up quitting until keys get fixed, it is so stressful to play as killer when there is a key and I find it just outright not fun.

  • Don't worry keys will be nerfed at some point in the next 3 years, though it will likely be an extremely minor nerf that has no real effect on a key's power just nerfing the ability to use it right in the killer's face.

  • If they change moris to be brown and not cost me 7k points to get then ill be fine with the changes, as is they are a total waste.

  • They won't make keys useless, more than likely they will make an animation for opening the lock that takes like 3s so you can't unlock it right in the killer's face but that will be the only change they do for it.

  • Lmfao, it's like Gearhead all over again. I feel like someone on the dev team just really dislikes Killers because this is comical now.

  • It serves no function now, which is the main reason people are annoyed with the changes. It is purely cosmetic it has almost no function gameplay wise.
