She is honestly only a threat if you put a decent amount of time into her, as despite what you hear from everyone it can be hard to land hatchets. Very map dependent, locker dependent, ammo dependent and has zero mobility. Most generators are impossible to land hatchets on because they are surrounded by so much clutter, orbitals help make up for it (unless there is a roof on the map
or hella trees. 77% is too slow and as a result Shiny Pin has a very high pick rate, and belts were constantly used so she didn't have to rely on locker spawns/ reloading so much. This is a hot take but I think shiny pin should be basekit and she should be 115% and even then she wouldn't be S Tier, I suggest watching her played in comp where they can never land any hatchets and always end games with 2 hooks. No killer should be 110% without movement speed abilities.Shes definitely not weak by any means but definitely is one of the hardest killers to master/ use their kit to their full potential. I would say after the buffs she is Mid to Low A Tier. But it doesn't change the fact that half the maps in the game put you at an insane disadvantage for just picking that killer. There is a reason why most Huntress's tunnel and camp.

I'm just saying that no Killer that doesn't have mobility have poor chances to win if the survivors are very efficient on gens and in chase. The most obvious ones who has best chances to win is Blight and Nurse. But Deathslinger and Huntress are both slow AND doesn't have any mobility ability. The Killers who has mobility has best chances to win because time efficiency is key in this game.
I just talked with someone who thinks Deathslinger MOVES TO FAST💀 Most people wont see where you're coming from because they don't play those killers enough. She definitely isn't viable against strong teams but like you said FAst killers are really the only ones who do. I always bring this up but no one listens, she has one of the lowest kill rates at general mmr and one of the l.owest at high mmr too. Both her and slinger need changes.

I don't think you'd accept any evidence lol
She doesn't need help. Not every Killer needs to be at that dumb 60% KR.
You don't see calls for Huntress to be buffed. The only thing you ever see about her is complaining about the hatchet hitboxes. If the DBD community can't find something to complain about on a Killer, that means it's probably pretty good.
And yes the devs want the killers to be at 60%. So you saying she doesn't need to be there is of course completely wrong and biased. If the Devs say they want all killers to go to 50% I would stop asking for buffs lmao. I have Shiny Pin which is pretty solid, it should be basekit.
Honestly me and you have talked about this before for probably 100+ comments. While I always bring up stats, facts and evidence's the constantly point to her needing tweaks. Its pretty clear I cant rationalize my way past survivor bias with all my points so I give up at this point.

Minds were already made up because huntress can already mindlessly zone by perma holding her hatchet and this just made it so much worse. 20+ hours on a ptb? Am I meant to believe that XD? Trickster being easy to hit only when close applies identically to huntress so I don't even know why you bring it up, and bringing up main event just misses the point entirely. You are pretty much objectively wrong with pyramid head by saying his restricted camera is a non factor, I seriously doubt you've actually played him. You got numbers wrong for huntress and billy while also missing the point AGAIN by bringing up their instadown and saying that bubba is better than huntress...? Nobody credible would agree with you on that. Literally nobody. Also yes slinger is problematic lol, but sure, keep acting like only survivors can be biased as you seem to imply slinger moving even faster while holding m2 would be fine??? And xenomorph isn't meant to be knocked out of crawler mode, they lose massive amounts of distance by breaking turrets. How can you say with so much confidence that huntress has more downsides than any of these killers when you clearly don't understand these killers to a reasonable extent?
News Flash any ranged killer can zone lmao. Pyramid head is the best zoner. He has much more upsides when compared to Huntress and most people rank him higher myself included.
You brought up charge times for a reason why Billy and Bubba are considered to be fine moving at 92% when charging. Bubbas is twice as long and Billy’s is 2.5 but they are both literally seconds. And 2 result in instantly downing survivor while one results in an injury. On top of 2 losing almost zero distance while one loses significant distance.
Never once said Bubba was better so stop putting words in my mouth please and thank you. And yes 20 hours on the PTB isn’t crazy so idk why you wouldn’t believe that but whatever.I brought up all those things to prove that they have other things to help them out. You say Trickster has to land 8 knives, I bring up main event because that makes landing 8 knives a joke. Do I really need to explain everything for you and why I bring things up and how they are related?
Xenomorph loses massive amounts of distance? Even though he can teleport? Slowing down to 30% is crazy and should be changed but he doesn’t have to reload lmao.
Honestly saying slinger is too fast tells me everything I need to know lmao 😂 His movement speed is beyond fine.
Yes Huntress does have more downsides it’s pretty obvious. 110 killer, 77 when charging (slowest in the game), locker dependent, map dependent, ammo dependent, hit box of clutter on map dependent, ping dependent, accuracy dependent, large lullaby, and map wide audio cue. Not to mention her skill ceiling is far higher than any other killer mentioned. And I guess we can keep ignoring the fact she has the 5th lowest kill rate in the game at high MMR.
Meanwhile PP Head: 115 killer, 110 when charging, restricted camera movement, ping dependent.
Doesn’t have to worry about collision of objects, doesn’t have to worry about locker spawns, is not even close to as map dependent, no map wide sound for when charging an attack, map wide attack sound sounds very similar to slinger, cages of atonement ignore 20 survivor perks, no need to worry about body blocks, can score double hits, goated at tunneling, ignores flashy saves, ignores SABO plays and a basekit Mori.
Go ahead and try to tell me Pyramid head has more downsides, I’m literally dying to hear your explanation.

Did I say 5% is a small difference? No, I said the clip was more than 5% away from not being absurd. As to say whatever it would've looked like without shiny pin still would've been blatantly ridiculous. That's why people said it's a bad change because it's just so obvious to anyone who's not biased.
Trickster - Has to hit 8 times
Pyramid head - Has a restricted camera and relatively slow moving attack
Slinger - Is also problematic
Billy/Bubba - Have longer charge times
Xenomorph - Has turrets
Did forget about these things or just intentionally choose not to acknowledge them?
You clearly never seen her PTB form without shiny pin, nor did you play against her or as her on the PTB, just like everyone else you seen that video and it made up your mind for you. I played her, 20 plus hours on the PTB she was NOT op, the 10 hatchets was for sure but not her speed, not even remotely.
Trickster has to land 8 knives (which is very easy, unless you are far away) but he has a main event (which can down a survivor before they use their whole on hit speed boost)
Pyramid heads restricted camera is essentially a non factor since he is able to chase survivors while holding, zones better than Huntress, zero punishment for canceling, can ignore walls and objects. It’s not very hard to hit PoTD.
Xenomorph almost never gets taken out of crawler mode if they have a single brain cell and it comes back insanely fast when he is in tunnels.
Billy/ Bubba have 2 second charge times, Huntress’s base windup is 1 second. They instadown, she does not, I would say they have a considerable advantage. Not including overdrive for Billy who has a considerably faster charge time.
Slinger is problematic? Really? That’s probably the most insane thing I’ve heard. Him moving at 92% is not problematic at all, unless you mean he’s to slow.
I didn’t bring them up because you don’t even want to go there when it comes to listing downsides because quite frankly Huntress has the most downsides of everyone here. Not to say she doesn’t have pros because she definitely does.
And I would fully accept any evidence, if they pushed her speed to live and the kill rates went up to 90% I would be the first to call for a revert. But the simple fact is no one has a single valid point on why it shouldn’t have stayed.

Because she's fine as is.
Her power is easier to land than everyone other than Trickster, but he needs to land a few knives.
She didn't need the buff and it was weird they decided to focus on her instead of Killers that actually need help.
This is old hat at this point and still nobody has any valid reasons for her not needing them. I’ll go through it one more time.
She has a low kill rate in GENERAL MMR. She ALSO has a low kill rate at HIGH MMR. She is in the BOTTOM 5 of kill rates. SHE FACTUALLY NEEDS BUFFS TO MEET THE 60% KILL RATE TARGET.
And a few small number tweaks bumped nobody out of being tweaked either, they did like 10 killers at once. Meyers and Freddy are getting full changes on their own so this has zero effect on them.
Her power may be easier to land but she is the only one who depends on lockers and has to drop chase to reload besides tricky of course. She is also the only one who has her power gutted by indoor maps and cluttered maps. Also Cannibal is way easier to land his power AND it insta downs.
I’m STILL waiting for anybody to provide me with any singular piece of evidence on why it was a bad change.

Let's be real the clip is more than 5% away from being ridiculous, also delusional for disagreeing with an objectively wrong take, very mature HexHuntressThighs
Obviously 5% is a huge difference otherwise they would’ve made her 115% a long time ago. Or they would’ve made shiny pin basekit. Trickster moves at 96% when charging, 99% with add ons, PP head moves at 110 when charging, Slinger moves at 92% when charging, Billy and Bubba move at 92% when charging and are insta down killers, Xeno moves at 115% and has no telegraph of a tail attack.
So you tell me, why should she stay at 77% again?

I wasn't aware of a movement speed change.
You're considered a villain because you take the killer perspective into account. Period. I'm considered the same, and so I don't start new discussions, I don't usually argue with anybody, but I do give my two cents and hope something sticks.
I really don't care about cosmetics, unless it's a killer or survivor I play a lot and wonder, "Where's all the cosmetics for this person? I'm mostly concerned with the price of the cosmetics, whether they're auric cells only, or cost like my entire stock of shards.
On a PTB They made her move at 88% instead of 77% when holding a hatchet because they seen a shiny pin had an insane pick rate and to help out on indoor maps/ maps with a lot of clutter which gut her power. They also didn’t change shiny pin at all so when using that add on she moved at 93% which was insane as she was moving faster than slinger when ADS.
Needless to say some guy uploaded the shiny pin video to Twitter where they chased a survivor and people started to riot. And the devs unfortunately didn’t even attempt to tone it back like they usually do. I’m assuming they were afraid of all the backlash they were getting and wholesale reverted it. It definitely wasn’t overpowered by any means but you know how it goes, survivors really don’t want any killers to be buffed ever.
You’re right honestly, there are some pretty nasty people on here who attack me even when I make post unrelated to balance changes, like when I said I like limited cosmetics. I just bring up the cosmetic discrepancy because survivors were complaining about the lack of cosmetics after Mikaela got her 37th skin in a row, meanwhile I’m getting one skin every 4 months.
-
@lettuchia said:
They reverted the buff because it was unarguably garbage design, just throw the dang hatchet
Lmao 😂 Of course you reference the super biased video where they are using the shiny pin add on which was insane and made her even faster on top of the basekit boost which would’ve been removed just like her belts.

Many people wonder why the knight was humiliated so much. Although the answer is simple. Many on the forum are arguing about which side the developers are on: the survivors or the killers. I think after this update everything is clear. In the Knight situation, the developers listened to the feedback only from survivor players. They want a killer who they can loop. The new goal for the devs is to make killers a fun simulator for survivors, not to make killers fun for the killer. Yes, the old knight was frustrating for survivors, but the new one is frustrating for killers. All the fun of him, including the punishment of greedy loopers, has been gutted. And now he is a boring M1 clown with 3 useless guards whose only goal is to entertain the survivors. I guess no one surprise that devs cares only for survivors fun, which is why they make knight more fun for them and more boring/weak/unfun for killer players. The only way to fix this revert every changes that came with nex patch (similar with twins). Current version of knight is strong and fun and dosnt need any change
It’s not a secret lol, one of the Devs informed me they make some decisions based on player feedback and not on kill rates/ stats. That’s why they reverted Huntress’s movement speed buff, only because player backlash. And some of the feedback they were listening to was coming from people who didn’t even play the PTB either as I found out myself when I asked them.
I’m pretty much considered a villain by every survivor on these forums because I said her movement speed buff made her stronger but not unbeatable. But in all honesty of course they will have a slight lean toward survivor considering that’s the majority of their player base and where the most money comes from.
That also explains why Zarina and Elodie have more cosmetics than Huntress even though Hunty has been in the game 3-4 years longer. Survivor mains pay the bills lol.

I swear all day long its only ever on survivor, it may switch to killer for maybe 1 or 2 games then right back to survivor again, just make them both 150 at this point its annoying to feel more obligated to play survivor because the bonus is on it all day long
It’s region based, where I’m at killer is at 150% from 6pm to 6am pretty much
-
I’ve had matches where I accidentally created a dead zone and the last survivor went down there and ended up crawling all the way to a hook cuz they didn’t want to sit on the ground for 4 minutes.
A hook dead zone would result in an escape in maybe 1 of 1,000 games. I’ve been playing 5 years and a hook dead zone has helped a total of 2 survivors escape. It’s really not that big of a deal and helps prevent slugging.
-
It’s simple why a lot of people don’t like going against him. He crosses the map in 3 seconds, insta downs someone, hooks them and gets a BBQ and Chili proc, crosses the map again in 3 seconds and downs someone else. Even mediocre Billie’s can win games easily as long as it’s not an indoor map. Not to mention he is insane at camping

Again, there is a more than 600 wins streak on Oni, who had a 58% win rate according to the latest stats. So by your logic we can assume that Oni is stronger than his stats indicate (just like you discarded the stats that only show a small difference between SWF and solo based on swf win streaks) and he should be nerfed.
If you really can't see why it is biased to use survivor win streaks to ignore stats but not Killer win streaks to ignore stats I really don't know what to say.
Btw, I did not make a black and white statement about whose is stronger, Nurse or SWF, I asked you a question based on you 1000+ win streaks comment.
Again either you’re being disingenuous or just not understanding. I brought up the win streak to prove SWF is stronger than solo q (it factually is, stats confirm it) and also using that as a reason for why people dislike it (another fact) I never once said that I think SWF is too strong and needs to be nerfed. Nor did I ignore any stats at all, you are absolutely twisting what I said and implying things I never meant.
I have no clue what point you are trying to make with Oni, but at the end of the day win streaks don’t matter in the majority of cases and shouldn’t be used to balance the game because certain people are just insane at video games.
If we want to be really disingenuous than we can go ahead and say Huntress needs some insane buffs since her highest win streak is 101, even though she has been out for years, she has a low kill rate at high and low MMR but is considered OP somehow.

I really wish people would stop acting like these popular streamers are the final word on this games balancing and mechanics. Just because they have lots of hours and people watch them doesn’t make their opinions any more or less valid than anyone else. I’ve seen people with 4000 hours who can’t loop a killer to save their lives. Everyone’s opinion is valid, not just the popular people who agree with your stance.
Well this is the one time where the majority of them agree on one thing which is very rare. So it’s important to bring it up, on top of the fact they know way more about the game and its balance than us. Not saying they can’t have wrong opinions. But they aren’t wrong on this one, it’s common sense.

You did bring up SWF streaks in a discussion about the advantage of SWF and ignored the answers about killer winstreaks you got. Seems like ignoring killer win streaks to me. Obviously you don't have to talk about killer win streaks when you talk about survivor win streaks, but ignoring the answers gives of the "I ignore what doesn't fit my opinion"-vibe.
Blight and Nurse got 1000+ win streaks with SWF being a thing, so Nurse and Blight are stronger than SWF?
lmao that’s a reach for sure, you’re desperately trying to make me seem biased but it still ain’t working.I used the point about SWF streaks to prove the fact that SWFs are obviously stronger than non SWFs and that’s a reason why people don’t like them. There is no reason at all in that thread to bring up killer winstreaks and is irrelevant about the threads topic. It’s a topic about SWfS not winstreaks.
No one can say a killer is stronger than SWF because it depends on the people in the SWF and it depends on the killer player. Nurse is not stronger than a SWF if I am playing Nurse going up against team eternal. But if it’s a Superalf Nurse going against a 4 friend SWF who plays for fun than the Nurse will win. Trying to make it black and white is beyond disingenuous.
Like I said I’m probably one of the few actually unbiased people here. And I challenge anybody to find something from me that is objectively unfairly biased. C3 Tooth acted like I was biased for defending Huntys movement speed buff until I shut him down by showing him that some of the most respected people in the community agreed with me.

Weren't you the person that brought up survivor win streaks and then ignored killer win streaks?
Seems pretty biased to me.
Nope, never once did that lmao. And even if I did who cares? If you talk about one sides win streaks you don’t have to talk about the others lol, it depends on the context. In fact I brought up killer win streaks and ignored survivor win streaks because they only got a 383 win streak and then 36 after that. I did talk about Huntress’s hugest win streak only being 101 despite being insanely OP according to everyone.
I did say however that if Nurse didn’t exist, that survivor team probably could’ve gotten to 1,000 escapes though. Which I’m pretty sure is true.
Like I said people say I’m biased because I look at things factually but I talk about unfair things that they want to keep IE distortion. I never said Distortion should be deleted (besides in a joke comment) but 10 seconds is in fact insane, it recharges in AND out of chase (pebble which is far weaker doesn’t) and forces killers to tunnel if a few people use it.
-
What’s wild to me is the finisher Mori would’ve 100% solved this problem completely along with survivors getting a basekit unbreakable and it got rejected. This is the results. Maybe you should’ve taken it and had them tweak it instead of flat out rejecting it.

Aura reading is a meme build? Can't even tell if you are being serious now. I guess slowdown perks are also "meme build" then and the next survivor will get a perk that just nullifies all generator regression.
You should honestly stop trying to argue because they won’t try to see from your perspective. Distortion is factually problematic and can not be denied so anyone who does deny it is obviously biased.

But it's so weird to see complaints about a 2 perk combo for aura reading after killers running full slowdown builds were just complained about and recently nerfed.
Legion has the stolen sketch book add on where after the first feral frenzy hit each subsequent hit causes survivors to drop their item

There doesn’t need to be a comeback mechanic. It’s Dead by Daylight not survivors escape for free by daylight💀

That’s what happens when you have a roster of mid killers. People want to win so they pick the only 2 killers capable of winning consistently.

It’s a good thing they aren’t. After all there a 4x as many survivors and therefore event powers. It’s actually perfectly balanced right now.

before, the whole point of trickster was knives. right now, in most situations it better to m1. your just playing m1 killer with a 40m lullaby, there is no reason to play trickster when there are killers that do what he can but better. his main event is utterly useless unless you use addons and its very unhealthy that you get main event every injure, it encourages unhealthy behavior such as slugging, tunneling and camping. funny thing is, there are other killers who are better at slugging, tunneling and camping .
You should still absolutely use knives over M1s it would be very bad not to. Knives have no cool down, no weapon wipe animation, very little punishment for holding, and give main event. If you spend most of the game M1ing you will start to lose more and more until your MMR drops and then you start winning again.
And you said yourself there are other killers who tunnel and slug better so you might as well leave his main event alone. And his main event isn’t bad either, definitely not great without add ons but not bad.
There are only 6-8 ranged killers in the game trickster included. He is the only one who can down someone before they use their on hit speed boost fully. He moves at 96% when holding knives and 115% normally. There are definitely a lot of reason to play him. I use to main him and still play him a lot. He definitely needs some tweaks but in no way should he be reverted to 110% Slinger and Huntress should be 115% as well
-
I’m rank not sure why the most obnoxious campers in the game got such insane buffs with no one complaining about it. I think they did it to stop Bubbas from tunneling and camping but it has only made them much better at it.
Haven’t ran into a single bubba who hasn’t tunneled or camped ever since his update. The tantrum being reduced to a weapon wipe is insane on a hyper mobile insta down killer, even more so with his insane and unneeded colission reduction.

the timed duration hastes effects are too short right now for perks. Unbound being 5% for 10 seconds is too low and machine learning is too hard to activate to be any use. Not sure about furtive chase. I think obsession mechanic is probably what makes me shy away from the perk. 30 second should be like a standard duration for these timed haste perks.
Exactly it’s so stupid, like why is Huntress’s purple belt 3% haste for five seconds? Especially when she spends 2 seconds recovering. Yew seed brew essentially made her 3% faster for 30 seconds. They need to bring it back.
-
Trickster moves at 115 so he can actually get good value from M1 perks. On top of having a main event as well. There are definitely several reason to play him rather than Huntress. I would say there is even more of a reason now considering he gets main event more than twice a game finally.

Would you say you face more new/casual killers? I think experienced killers should beat you guys at least 50/50 times. They could win even more but many killers play for hooks/fun instead optimally so I can see them losing when you play optimally with strong stuff BNP:s etc. But how you guys do agains't tunneling killer who focus on your weaker friends taking them potentially quickly out?
I also have another swf (surviving with family) and that's when I communicate but we do significantly worse than with swf who I don't talk. Simple reason is we only have 2 good players me and my lil bro. But my twin bro is too casual and lil sis and cousin are weak links/new players. They lack game sense, gen/looping effiency. Sometimes feels we do even worse than I do in soloQ… We might do just bit better.
Definitely newer killers I would say as the average we go against is probably 1,500 to 2,000 hours. I would not say casual because we experience tunneling a lot. And we do have a weak link friend who is pretty bad but every since I had them get WoO they can loop significantly longer, easily double what they can do without it so it makes him a solid link but still the weakest.
We always have flashlights so we him go down in the open so he is basically unpickable and when the killer tries to slug I use WGLF to pick him up. I would genuinely say we have a 70% escape rate being 3 of us escaping on average because it is very rare to get all 4 of us out.
I’ll upload a video of us SWFing and winning whenever we decide to but that might take a few months considering we all work different shifts.

I find that kinda hard to believe at best case scenario it can work like that but if you're friends are new to the game they go down in 10s.
I play swf and only reason we win is because we all can loop very well and make gens effiently. We have 10 000+ hours so that should be expected. Good killers can win us though. We don't use communication and not often it is neccessary.
We actually often win agains't good blights and nurses but like some unknown player ramdomly destroyed us recently. Squad I play with even won lilith omen.
Well believe it, they have a few hundred hours each and we win often. Of course not against nurse and only sometimes blights. Windows of Op carried them for a while and still does honestly.

I've been running Distortion a lot lately and literally 80%+ of games I load in and immediately lose a token.
I know people complain a lot about Distortion and I believe it needs to be tuned down slightly but you can't blame people for running the only perk that helps to counter Lethal.
It’s being ran more often because Gen regression got gutted. If you can’t defend gens you need to find people as fast as you can. I literally called it, LP will go up so much that it will get nerfed and then you will see Corrupt skyrocket and get nerfed again.

Absolutely better get rid of survivors spawning pallets too if we are getting rid of the other stuff. Having respanable god pallets is not fair in the slightest.

Imagine taking the most extreme example and calling that the norm. I acknowledge the existence of people who play like that, but that's not your casual SWF. Hens plays like that when he does SWF. His group is all about clock callouts, but even without that, the players are all extremely good individually.
You will always find people on the extreme end of the scale who choose to play in a way that is competitive. The overwhelming majority of DBD's player base is casual. They have no interest in meta. Even when UB+DS+DH+BT was the meta, there was still a large amount of players who didn't care about the meta and just played how they wanted to play.
Your TL;DR that SWFs are OP because of the insane info and coordination capabilities discounts the fact that most just don't care to play that way. It also discounts the fact that not everyone has 3 friends to play with. Some people only have one friend to play with, and they may not feel comfortable playing with strangers to make up the difference.
Imagine ignoring 95% of everything I wrote considering I just told you my SWF (with 3 new people) can win often if we choose too and the fact that we dont use clock callouts but still there is extreme info.
You can not discount my points just because YOU don’t play that way. You have no idea what the majority of people do honestly, so you are making huge blanket statements with zero evidence.
I’m telling you why SWFs are hated and that is the reason why and it’s not debatable lmao, that’s literally why they are hated., insane information and coordination, even mediocre SWFs can let each other know to start holding W key which is hell for any killer to go against.

Cool for killers, trash for survivors. Basically, the same as this game has been for ages.
I’m genuinely curious why you still play this game? I’m not sure I’ve ever seen you say a single positive thing about it. Is it too addicting to stop?
-
After playing against Vecna today and going against people who finally know how to play him well I would definitely say he needs a few nerfs. Unless I’m not understanding the counter play.
Nothing is more frustrating than completely outplaying them and they just breathe down your neck, block the next pallet and get a free hit on you. Spawning FoTD on top of you is also annoying and has no counter play. I think they should remove the crouch aspect and just leave it to where you have to go in between them.
I may just be biased because all the Vecnas I played against the past few days have played like total scumbags.

Imagine having a permanent 24 meter killer instinct placed on you at all times. SWFs are incredibly strong for that reason, me and my friends aren’t that great considering 3 of them are almost brand new and I only have a few hundred hours on survivor but we constantly win whenever we choose to. Unless of course it’s Nurse, Blight, Plague or Wesker.
The killer has essentially no element of surprise at all because me and the others constantly call out their almost exact locations and what direction they are heading. Easily letting a teammate across the map know the killer is going for them so they can hide behind a wall and not be found. Not to mention coordinating all our perks and calling out when and where we are going down and so on. I guarantee if Nurse and Blight didn’t exist, survivors could easily get a 1,000 plus escape streak. I can have my friends bring the best tool box in the game with double charges all running BTL, SW, SB and Scav or Resil and we can win pretty much anytime we want. S Tier killers permitting and item counts permitting. But it’s just not very fun.
Tl; Dr: SWFs are OP because of the insane info and coordination capabilities, and could win more often if they played super sweaty

I have 400 for Huntress already! After I P3 every killer I’m going to try and get 1,000

0/10 No Huntress masquerade dress😭

Only thing worse than this is the silent survivor power hard countering Spirit's power in this event. What is the reasoning for this?
Don’t forget heal you expose you being an insane hard counter to Huntress because 30 seconds of exposure does nothing to help her. It’s pretty much a negative only lmao.

Don't realize that SoloQ survivor is selfish even without the perk.
It's every man for themselves and the other players owe nothing to you.
Don't like how you're playing? People will turn on you and sabotage your game.
Run perks like Empathic or Better Together and that information will be used against you.
Hooked during End game? You're not getting saved. They won't even bother.
SoloQ survivor is a dog eat dog world and there is no guaranteed cooperation from the other players.
It's probably why there is a team based rating based on escapes because it's so bad.
It’s definitely a region thing because in the US out of sveral few games played they have only left people to die on hook without trying three times. It’s so rare I have been counting and asking why leave lol.

killers get cakes only, survivors get insane toolboxes, flashlights AND cakes. It’s completely fair killers get more cakes.
Oh and med kits

Okay how can I play the regular game mode now?
There are two separate event queues. Don’t select masquerade just select play. And then choose killer or survivor.
-
Ummm…. Just play the regular game mode then? People still use cakes in the regular game mode. I’m not sure why you are complaining when it’s 100% optional.

There's a misconception here that survivors are a group of people that should team up and work cooperatively together to succeed In reality, the developers give a lot of leeway to play however dirty or nice you want.
Spread hooks? Sure.
Tunnel? Go for it.
Unhook someone? Sounds good.
Body block for someone? Alright.
Let someone die for your advantage? If you want to, go for it.The main goal of the killer is simply to kill; whereas the main goal of the survivor is simply to survive.
You're right that stealth is primarily a selfish play-style and encourages more tunneling since an injured and unhooked survivor is easier to find than a healthy hiding survivor with distortion. But that's okay, if the player wants preserve themselves at the expense of their team, it's perfectly valid to do so. There is no obligation to act in someone's else's interest unless you want to - that goes for both killer and survivor.

If you don't believe me, just look at the Steam page description:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/381210/Dead_by_Daylight/
Key Features
• Survive Together… Or Not - Survivors can either cooperate with the others or be selfish. Your chance of survival will vary depending on whether you work together as a team or if you go at it alone. Will you be able to outwit the Killer and escape their Killing Ground?
Or look at perks like 'Sole Survivor', 'Self Preservation', 'Left Behind', etc.
The concept that each survivor can adopt the play style of being out for themselves has been implemented since the game released. As long as you aren't actively trying to get your allies killed (sandbagging, pointing them out to the killer, etc.) none of it is punishable either for that reason.
—
The TLDR is:
Behaviour gives a lot of freedom to players to play however they like for better or worse. In this regard, I doubt (and hope) there won't be much traction with wanting distortion and stealth to receive changes to make it less effective for the individual (and therefore decrease tunneling). Stealth players typically know they're selfish and sacrificing their teammates, it's just that they enjoy the play style more than they care about others experience and choose to do it anyway - especially since the game specifically allows for it.
And yes, I do say this as a stealth player who has a penchant for unhooking people then hiding and letting them get chased again while thinking to themselves 'Well that sucks. Good luck, you'll probably need it.'
… though if it redeems me in the eyes of readers at all, I often run Deliverance and use my lower hook counts to body block near end game or when someone's on death hook. I'm not afraid to go down for them either since I can just unhook myself. Basically, I love being stealthy and selfish since it lets me control the game better. I know generators will get done early if I'm doing them, and I know someone will intervene for those on death hook if I'm the one blocking.
As such, I do hope to retain my playstyle and not have it nerfed. Stealth is just so fun, especially if you use it constructively.
It’s not only the killer who hates it, but your team mates do too. Nothing more annoying then getting unhooked and the person who unhooked you doing nothing to try and help keep you in the game.
The number one reason I DC is selfish stealth team mates who don’t help spread pressure and give up hook states. You are entitled to play how you want, I am entitled to leave the match because I don’t like your play style.I really don’t care if distortion gets nerfed at the end of the day honestly because I’ll just tunnel if I can’t find anyone. I use aura to find new survivors and ahead hooks but if you don’t want me doing that then I won’t. Simple as that.
