  • He moves at one 110 while charging Punishment of the damned which is crazy to me. Literally the best zoner in the game at short range.

  • Bringing up comp is smart though. If you’ve ever watched Huntress played at comp level they almost ALWAYS lose. And very badly I might add. I’m talking two hooks by endgame. Therefore she has counterplay but you have to be smart enough to know it.

I highly encourage there very few matches of her being used in comp on YouTube and watch as they miss 20+ hatchets a game

  • Honestly it’s how it should be considering 99% of Hex perks are garbage and no one uses them. The whole point to Hexes were that they were insanely strong but fragile. But 3/4 of them are garbage AND fragile.

Undying actually does have its own totem, we know this because of how haunted grounds interacts with it, plaything wouldn't have a specific survivor tied with a specific color since its an umbrella under the perk so all plaything tokens would be the same color, and just as trackable as they are currently

exactly what I was going to say, well said

I think it might be hag?

    110 but with waterlogged shoe, she's 117.5.

Plus PWYF for a total of 15%, which makes her 132.5%

With batteries included, that's another 5%, so the total now is 137.5%

With rapid brutality, that's yet another 5%, so now it's 142.5%

Now put on machine learning and every time a comprimised gen is done thats another 10% for 30 seconds. Which is. 152.5%.

Is that the fastest any killer can be?

Rapid Brutality requires you to M1 a survivor, meaning you will lose a stack of PWYF so get rid of Rapid because it will do nothing.

  • So many things in this post are wrong. The Developers WANT the killers to have a 60% kill rate and they have almost achieved it so this game is balanced how they want it. 50% kill rates would not be healthy for the game at all, quite frankly the killer is the power role and should therefore be powerful. Jason from Friday had a 80-90% kill rate and almost no one complained about it ever.

If all 4 survivors DC and the killer kills all of the bots, that does in fact count as a real 4k. They don’t count the survivors as escaping when the killer DCs which further pushes the stats to being more accurate.

In fact I would say the real kill rates are lower than they are on the stat sheets because survivors give up on hook so much which does count as a kill. That’s why merchant is at 70% when in reality she is not that strong.

The hatchet count buff should be reverted but the windup time buff is absolutely necessary and I don't understand why people complain about it as thought they wouldn't be complaining if babushka got nerfed without the basekit being buffed, crazy thought but maybe addon reliance isnt good game design?

Why do you think she got those changes? Infantry belt had the highest pick rate of all her add ons, Shiny Pin had the Second, Flower Babushka was third. The Devs seen it and made all 3 base kit to make her not add on reliant. Unfortunately shiny pin still has an insane pick rate because the movement speed buff didn’t go through. It’s probably her most popular add on now besides glowing concoction.

7 hatchets is quite a lot, and doesn't feel rewarding if you do manage to dodge it. Plus, the player will simply hold the hatchet forever until she manages to hit you at the right moment, doesn't seem fun or have much counterplay to me. Her hitboxes are somewhat fine only if the ping is good but I still even get hit in odd places, but if it's not good then its a nightmare for the survivors.

Tricksters blades take 8 to injure, hatchets take only one out of seven, there is a major difference, Huntress is a bigger threat, and the survivors should have a chance of dodging them.

Those buffs were band-aid fixes, and also indoor maps like Midwich can be good for Huntress with the hallways and stuff, locker spawn changes were all what she really needed.

Trickster landing 8 Blades is not that crazy as he has 44 of them not to mention a very oppressive main event with infinite blades and faster throw speed with zero recoil. He has far less counter play than her which is why survivors hate him so much. Not to mention he is 115 now and moves at 96 when holding blades and is a great zoner as well. She’s not even close to as strong as Nurse or Blight so how about you ask for more nerfs to them first? Why nerf Huntress?

Huntress moves 33% slower when holding a hatchet, 23% slower than a survivor. That is already an insane disadvantage for her holding right there and they need to use their skill to reward their hindrance to balance it out. People complaining about her holding hatchets is the most cringe thing on the planet. She has 7 and then she has to go to a poorly placed locker. So you want her to be able to miss all 7 hatchets AND have to go reload?

Again I’ll point out that every single creator I seen Scott Jund, True Talent, Spooky, ToFu, CoCo all said that the changes were surprising but fine. These people combined have over 100,000 hours on this game and CoCo alone has 10,000 hours on Huntress. The only one who had a problem with it was Otzdarva and even then he said it was strange and not sure why it was done and never said that the changes make her overbearing or unbeatable.

  • No they don’t need to be reverted she has literally the most counter play in the entire game besides singularity because his EMPs are so abundant he almost doesn’t have a power.

And why are we still clueless why she got buffed? She was the third lowest in kill rates at all MMRs and the 5th lowest at top 5%. And before anyone brings up that stupid nurse has a low kill rate argument, Nurse does NOT have a low kill rate at top 5% MMR like Huntress does.

The buffs she received were mainly to help on indoor maps which gut her power almost entirely and also to help with cluttered maps as well. Locker spawns need to be fixed as well but 7 hatchets is fine. She is one of two killers in the game that has to actively drop chase to go get ammo.

You should NOT be able to dodge all her hatchets. Just like you CANT dodge all of Tricksters knives.

Her Hitboxes are fine, they changed them to be smaller before and her kill rate dropped to the lowest in the game. So unless she receives insane buffs in other departments her Hitboxes should remain the same. 99% of the issue is survivors not knowing how their own Hitbox functions and how it doesn’t follow their model at all and if it did it would kill looping overnight.

She should’ve kept the movement speed buff honestly. It Would’ve made her a little bit higher in A Tier but I would rather play against more Huntress than Blights/ Nurses

  • Insta down killers are all pretty much unfun to me. Since if you make 1 mistake the chase ends immediately.

I played against a streamer P100 Billy and it was the most miserable match I ever played because how good they were. Every Chase was less than 15 seconds. I was trying everything too, crouch techs, abusing windows and so on but it didn’t matter.

I would honestly rather play against skull merchant because even an insane skill merchant won’t insta down you 99% of the time.

    1. Plague - can't stand the vomiting and there is no downside to her power (cleanse and she gets a one hit down -don't cleanse and she gets a one hit down).

    2. Huntress. Used to really like going against huntress killers. They seemed fair and down for a good time. Now they're always sweaty and proxy campers. It's draining.

    3. Legion - get hit, heal for an eternity. Repeat. Get nothing done for 30 minutes. Boring.

    Honourable mentions:

Wraith - tunnelers, proxy campers and body blockers

    Dredge - can't stand nightfall. It's obnoxious.

There’s a reason why Huntress’s feel the need to camp, just saying.

  • These forums are neither killer nor Survivor sided, as whenever I made a post about Surge and Rapid not being M1 perks only I got ratioed into oblivion. Same with when I said Huntress should’ve kept her movement speed, ratioed into oblivion again.

These forums are definitely feeling more 50/50 to me than ever honestly. But the problem solo queue has is for some reason survivors don’t really like to do their objective, I’ve had literal 5 minute matches where by the time I got to my 4th or 5th down all the gens were popped. I don’t know why they don’t do that 24/7. Maybe because it’s boring? Idk.

Trickster loses a stack with every knife throw

  • The edge is the “Us vs Them” divide this community has and it’s even affected me. If you say ”Pain Rez was fine at 25%” you’ll have a thousand comments calling you an entitled brain dead killer main. Just like if you thought MFT was fine you’d ignite a firestorm of replies.

Too many people don’t play the other side and honestly should not be speaking about the games balance. It’s easy for me to ignore survivor problems because I think they are overblown until I go into solo queue lobbies and get tunneled, slugged and humped for looping for more than 5 seconds.

The replies on these forums are a perfect example, every single thread is people fighting each other and trying to make underhanded remarks while trying not to get caught doing it. And nobody cares about the actual facts of anything it’s really just about how they feel. Killers have trash kill rates and get buffed and people complain. Solo Queue has low escape rates so they get an info hud and people complain.

The “Us vs Them” cycle honestly needs to end but this community won’t let it happen ever. I’m so tired of seeing “killer sided update” “survivor sided game” and so on. This community frankly is exhausting sometimes. It doesn’t have to be this way, we could change it; and I hope we do.

The arguments of 'it takes two perk slots' and 'it only works in combo with one other perk' are completely disingenuous and irrelevant here.

Those same arguments applied to buckle up and background player and those perks were nerfed because the synergy was considered too strong. Background player is literally useless unless you combo it with something.

First of all i never said anything about it taking two perk slots, I'm just pointing out that the perk by itself is trash. The difference is Buckle up is a solid perk on its own and so is For The People although less so. Weave attunement is trash on its own and does essentially nothing if survivors have common sense.

Honestly I would rather them rework the perk because it is so horrendously bad without Franklins that it shouldn't even exist the way it does.

maybe don't get hooked in bad positions as bubba? his strong basement play… aligns with his canonical story.

Being hooked anywhere is bad against bubba lmao, and you can’t control where you get hooked for the most part. You can go down in a certain area and hope they don’t go somewhere or have agitation.

Do NOT use cannon/ Lore for him being good at something. If we do that then we have to make Huntress move 2x faster along with being able to jump and dash attack lol.

Use ds that counters his tunneling and just loop him. We have now anticamp mechanic so you can do trade and counter his camping unless it's basement. If thT the case then other teammates should just do gens. But to be honest camping/tunneling bubbas has been rare to me usually they play quite fairly.

Shouldn’t have to pay for a perk to keep you in the game. He shouldn’t be able to use his chainsaw within a range of Hooked survivors after being near for a certain amount of time. Good luck getting solo queue teammates to trade with you (they almost never do)

says huntress player that can camp basement all game and machine BT. Upset that the killer optimizes the meta strategies? Bubba is gonna get nerfed by new BabySitter perk If they make it good because haste will outrun his chainsaw. so in order for bubba to instant down people through BT, he's going need to use iri-flesh. yay for mandatory iri add-on to equip.

Bubba is still better at camping basement and non basement. Huntress has counter play, cannibal does not. Baby sitter will do literally nothing to stop Bubba even if bubba has zero add ons considering his second sweep catches sprint burst and his 3 sweep goes past it. Also maybe 1 out of 4 survivors use babysitter, meanwhile bubba has to bring nothing.

  • I think weapons that look like they are made of the same material as the Iridescent pip up emblems would be such. Almost like a red diamond type look.

But honestly, everyone did the P100 grind knowing full well they weren’t going to get anything for it. I would not expect much, especially since it’s gonna cost them money to have them made and they will make no money from it

Tunneling is certainly not related to him at all, he is definitely not the "best" for it

Camping maybe, but even then he may be inferior to the billy nowadays

Who is a better tunneler? I’m curious who can be better than the only killer in the game that can down you through your base kit BT. Not to mention his chainsaw sweep catches up to sprint burst easily. Pyramid head at least requires you to torment survivors to ignore BT. Cannibal is unmatched

Bubba was quite weak before the buff probaly easiest killer to loop unless it was really cracked bubba player. He needed buffs and his collision was bad and tantrum way too long.

Hillbilly is the superior instadown killer anywau with way smaller cooldowns. If one was over buffed it was him.

The problem is he was trash and should have stayed that way because even after omega buffs they all still tunnel and camp. Not only that but he is the best at tunneling and camping too and has zero counter play for it. Haven’t ran into a single one who hasnt tunneled.

  • I definitely wouldn’t use any add ons that will mess with movement or windup until you get the flow with her basekit. You could use Deer Skin Gloves to help reload a lil faster and then float between the rusted/ begrimed heads to make healing take longer. And you could use oak haft to recover faster so you’ll be encouraged to throw more, although you will definitely get used to it and miss it when you run out.

I’m under the assumption you will never use aura perks which is unfortunate because those are insanely helpful to practicing shots as it allows you to throw hatchets at survivors who aren’t expecting it which allows you to practice fundamentals like leading, windup and arcing.

I would use Corrupt Intervention, Dead Lock, Pain Rez and Lightborn since I know that LB is a perma run for you. You’re basically going to want to stall the game as much as possible while you throw as many hatchets as you can, that’s the idea I have for that build.

For advice I would say to never focus on winning. If winning is your priority then you are going to be way safer with your hatchets and M1 way more than you should. Throw as many as you can (within reason lol) and if survivors get in your face which they often do to try and get you to miss don’t give up and M1. It sucks to keep missing a point blank target but the more you keep trying to hit the more you will hit. If you see my videos or CoCos or spooky videos we still miss a decent amount of shots, but you get better with every throw!

Also changing your FOV to the 103 max will be a huge help as well. I play on 92 to help me be able to line up orbitals faster. If you have anyway to implement a crosshair that would help a lot too and there is nothing wrong with using one!

    Best of Luck! @CountOfTheFog

Because OTR doesn't help against players planning to tunnel???

OTR is useless if I hit you off hook lmao

You’re severely underestimating OTR. Try it if you have it. The amount of times you get hit immediately off hook are probably 1 in a 80 games just going from my experience. Even if you get hit, no grunts of pain, no pools of blood and your aura can’t be read for 80 seconds. It is a very good anti tunnel perk, can easily be better than DS. If you are frequently getting hit off hook immediately then your teammates are very, very bad.

  • Honestly still clueless why they omega buffed cannibal. He is insane at camping, tunneling and slugging. Can literally shred through post hook BT. Why did they give an insta down killers chainsaw same cooldown as an M1 killers weapon wipe. His tantrum should be 5 seconds again, 3 is insane. And him having essentially zero collision is also a problem, you literally can’t make him bump into anything. For some reason survivors are fine with it though. The amount of tunneling and camping cannibals have skyrocketed and it’s annoying to play against.

  • Ran into a hacker today and recorded it. I usually talk trash to hackers in EgC but I didn’t because I seen that Choy video and am low key terrified of being Hardware banned. I almost didn’t report them for cheating either because idk if they can know that.

  • Why not use object? Lmao it literally hard counters Weave by giving you wall hacks back in them

because nobody misses skill-checks that is good at the game. Freddy also has permanent oblivious which prevents him from using overcharge/oppression skill-checks with unnerving presence. Lullaby can be cleansed. Huntress add-on for -5% was 120 seconds. It was a mangled add-on+-5% repair add-on. This was before mangled was on a standard for unlimited duration. Now it got changed to be limited duration but it is worse then where it started.

I just looked it up, it was actually permanent until healed which really isn’t that bad tbh. Regardless whether survives miss skill checks or not they said they are removing anything to do with gen speeds from all killer powers and add ons.

And if Fredward does combine HL with both add ons then one missed skill check is a -24% progress penalty. It has to go to keep in line with the other killer add ons that have been changed to bring them in line with what the devs wanted.

  • I’m surprised they haven’t done an add on pass on Freddy. His additional penalty for missing skill checks have to be replaced to make it fair. Huntress had an add on that made survivors hit by a hatchet 5% slower at repairing gens for 15 seconds and that got removed because it was problematic. Meanwhile Freddy has two add ons that can be stacked to make a survivor who misses a skill check lose 18% progress instead of 10% And honestly they should remove his pallet add ons and make them basekit.

  • You say it’ll never come back but during the anniversary livestream they said they are bringing it back this year soooo?

The horror theme absolutely left with goofy cosmetics because it removes any serious tone the game could instill when people wear them.

Cosmetics are still optional content and not the main themes of the game that the focus centers around, also since you bring up Friday the 13th, it too have goofy cosmetics and silly dance emotes as well, therefore same logic would apply to it's tone as well.

Actually I would say it was fine before then because survivors were the power role in the beginning. Friday was actually scary because Jason was a real threat, the killers in this game just aren’t that big of a threat so they aren’t as scary.

Scary is subjective and things stops being scary when you play something for long enough, Friday is no exception to that.

Also a killer in this game is only as much of a threat as the killer people choose to play as and how good they are with them, which you will find that killers can very much be a threat to Survivors in the right hands.

Even then with the original 4 being archetypes, what about David? A literal catacomb exploring, grave robber fits better than 90% of the original survivors. It’s not like they brought in a killer from Tomb Raider.

Except 90% of the original Survivors are objectively horror characters as they were created specifically for a horror game, DBD is advertised as horror since it was created with horror in mind as the main focus of the game's premise. Tomb Raider is not a horror game because it wasn't created as one since those horror elements isn't the main focus of it's premise, adventure and raiding tombs are, it is closer to that of Uncharted & Indiana Jones than it is to horror games.

They brought her in as a survivor, after Nick Cage anything was possible.

Sure, but that still doesn't make her a horror character, just a Survivor.

I agree the emotes of Friday did help remove horror themes but it was still more horrific than DBD. And Fridays goofy cosmetics (there were only 6) actually could make sense because they are college kids partying. Toilet paper mummy Dwight makes zero sense at all because the entity put them in it, not them just existing and being taken like that.

Also Friday never lost its fear factor for me because it was always scary when Jason was near. If you didn’t have a very rare pocket knife and you got grabbed, you were dead on the spot. No hook states, no second chances. The only time he wasn’t scary was when you had the sweater but even then it was still terrifying when he started shifting and teleporting behind you.

So if Lara had the word horror slapped into her game tags she would fit perfectly? She definitely has horror aspects to her game anyways. She’s definitely a better fit than the majority of characters we have now. She is a survivor, plain and simple; she doesn’t have to be horror related at all just survival related. Which she fits into perfectly and actually a character that the entity would definitely take.

What is horror without victims? That's why we have characters like dwight, meg and Yui. There are in there to fit an archetype. I think people are going to be upset that Lara can't just scale the walls of the trial and escape. I have enjoyed all the tomb raider series especially when she caused the apocalypse in Shadow. She's also next to never unarmed.

I think she should have been a collection of skins, that would have been a much better cash grab.

Leon is never unarmed, Jill uses grenade launchers, Chris punches a bolder the size of a house into a volcano, Carlos is always strapped up. All of these resident evil characters are way more impressive than Lara Croft and would easily be able to escape the trial if anyone could. Leon literally scaled a 75 foot tall giant and proceeded to rip a parasite out of the giants back with a knife and his hands.

If people are fine with resident evil then they have to be fine with Lara Croft.

How does Dwight fit but Lara doesn’t?

It's about their point of origins, Dwight and the 3 other original Survivors are nods to slasher archetypes, making them by default horror-oriented characters. Lara on the other hand is not that and is in fact from an action adventure IP, Tomb Raider having horror elements to it doesn't make it a horror IP nor her a horror character as those elements are not the focus of her games.

As for the horror element we left that over 6 years ago with the Halloween costumes and pajama cosmetics. Idk why people are just now complaining.

The difference is that those are cosmetics related, where as this is chapter related. The latter carries more significance to the game's theme & identity over the former as cosmetics are optional and isn't the default content like chapter's content are. All chapters up until Tomb Raider (with the exception of Nicolas Cage) have all been either about horror IPs or have been horror related in some fashion or form.

The horror theme didn't disappear because of cosmetics, because the main theme of the game's horror came from the default content of the dlcs and there was a consistent pattern to content before from those dlc which was that they were all horror related, however that pattern has now been broken with the inclusion of Tomb Raider and that is why people are complaining.

The horror theme absolutely left with goofy cosmetics because it removes any serious tone the game could instill when people wear them. Actually I would say it was fine before then because survivors were the power role in the beginning. Friday was actually scary because Jason was a real threat, the killers in this game just aren’t that big of a threat so they aren’t as scary. It’s not like they brought in a killer from Tomb Raider. They brought her in as a survivor, after Nick Cage anything was possible.

  • None of these posts make any sense at all. How does Dwight fit but Lara doesn’t? Are they not both humans? Lara is a literal tomb raider looking through caves and graves for artifacts while Dwight worked at a cafe or something. She fits into the game way more than Dwight. As for the horror element we left that over 6 years ago with the Halloween costumes and pajama cosmetics. Idk why people are just now complaining.

  • Again, the dark gritty horror theme was immediately done away with when the first survivors started getting Halloween costume and pajama cosmetics. Why are we complaining about Lara Croft when we have Toilet paper mummy Dwight? Why is Dwight considered to fit the horror theme but Lara is not? They are both humans. Such a weird discussion to be having.

  • I wish we stopped bringing this up. DBD departed from being a horror game when they brought in those Halloween costume and pajama cosmetics. I don’t mind them making light hearted cosmetics but it’s very clear the game would never be able to hold a dark tone seriously after that.

I think everyone should try to keep Killrates more accurate, even if I know that it would be impossible to do so, Ill still do my best to encourage it from both sides.

I never said you did lol, just telling you that it’s not gonna be accurate not matter what.

  • @Iron_Cutlass said:

I rather people go for 4Ks since it more accurately reflects Killrates, so hopefully BHVR can balance the game better (keyword: "hopefully").

Also I do understand that it is lame sometimes, but Ive come up with a strategy that is really good at countering this strategy. You see, if the Killer wants to waste my time (slugging for the 4K, bleeding me out, etc.), I just open up Bloods Tower Defense 6 and work on progressing through the Monkey Knowledge skill tree, this way I dont lose out on time and optimize my playtime.

Kill rates will never be accurate with how often survivors give up on hook. That’s why skully has a 70% kill rate

  • It’s honestly just the people who play her are miserable usually. Out of The past 10 Sadakos I’ve had 9 were very miserable with how much they were slugging, tunneling. But one of them was super fun to go against and actually cracked of course it was One Pump Willie the P100 Sadako.

I said it’s overpowered lol. But it’s only overpowered on like 5 killers

Woah! You run four aura reading perks as Killer and go into SoloQ without Distortion?! No way.

I thought for sure you'd use it as Survivor since you find it detrimental to yourself when Killer.

I refuse to use perks I think are overpowered, which is why I also didn’t use pre nerf adrenaline, FTP+ BU.

Aura reading builds are only very good on like 8 killers. The other 20+ killers will get cooked if they use full aura.

  • They removed his ability to do that but something happened and he can do it again. Idk if it’s a bug or what but you can absolutely shred through endurance of unhooks
