Is it really the survivor hitboxes that are like that? Not asking sarcastically or anything, I haven't seen anything on it myself and I'm actually very curious.
Yes the Hitboxes don’t follow survivor very well at all as they don’t follow the slouch of injured survivors. Making some hits seem even worse than they are. But these cant be fixed because if they change those than survivors wouldn’t be able to loop nearly as well and would thoroughly gut the looping ability.

Hopefully she never does. It would be cool if she got the female animations though.

It’s $5 and you don’t have to buy it…

I thought that with all the aura readings from both sides 2v8 might be a testing ground for this to become basekit? might be a bit much but imo the aura readings are a little bit out of hand already and they can’t really take away all these perks and addons.. both sides could benefit from knowing that their aura is being read (though i guess killers don’t really know which surv would read them…)
As for Distortion - I can see some change in how to get tokens. Either increased time or different condition (being in chase/healing/gen progress or something else) - going back to only 3 tokens with the current aura perks/addons would make the perk pretty much useless..
I hope not. Aura reading perks will be essentially useless if survivors know there aura is being read basekit.
-
One hook Moris would be awesome but I don't think I would ever lose ever again lol.

Killer addons that apply the same effect for a fixed duration do not add their timers together. This mainly applies to Status Effects and Aura Reading.
In the case of the blocks, Running both Unicorn Block and Sheep Block will not cause a Survivor to be blinded for 150 seconds, it'll take the longest blindness timer and use that one (90 seconds).
Likewise, with the Dresses, the Green and Blue Dress aura reading effects do not stack. It'll only take the longer timer for the Blue Dress, which is 4 seconds.
However, the skill check penalties DO in fact stack, just not the aura reading.
Myers stalk addons do stack, same with Freddy's teleport reduction addons, and most killer addons do too, it's just the Status Effect ones generally don't, if they do the same thing.
Exactly, perfectly explained.
-
I don't like the new tiles or variants at all either. And they added an insane amount of clutter and random garbage.
-
People clearly don’t know the power of the Leviathan. It is far greater than the entity is. It existed before the concept of life itself ever did. Not to mention it has mastery over all the dark arts. Pinhead himself couldn’t beat the entity but from how I understand the entity currently, it wouldn’t stand a chance against the leviathan.
-
Shadowborn would be terrible, there should be no perk that has a killer that stands still. You can’t afford to do that and the aura read is not worth it. Insidious is garbage for the same reason. Beast of Prey wouldn’t be good either as less than 5% of all killers ever get to Bloodlust 3. The rest of the perks seem decent tho.
I think Territorial Imperative should give you 10% haste anytime a survivor is within 8 meters of shack or 24 meters of basement.
Bloodhound should allow you to see pools of blood through walls up to 32 meters
-
Huntress needs a mark of negation as she is the only killer in the game who can lose connection to the entity as referenced in her Beast of Prey perk😭
-
Her Hitboxes are fine and very easy to dodge if you are more than 10 meters away. I really don’t understand the trouble when going against her. One of the easiest killers to loop in the entire game. Has one of the highest escape rate and lowest kill rates. Does even worse in the comp scene and top MMR. Half the maps in the game are against her and 30% of the loops in this game you have to M1 at.
She has so many tells for her power. A map wide sound AND a loud grunt when readying a hatchet. The only reason you would ever get caught with one is because she is breathing down your neck, not paying attention or is absolutely cracked and making good prediction shots. Her Hitboxes are not broken, it’s the survivor Hitboxes that don’t follow the lean of the survivor. But if you change that then goodbye looping👋
-
They have been bugged for a while as a lot of hatchets that clearly land don’t even register at all. I can’t tell you how many shots I get cheated out of a day. They have been having problems ever since the new engine update.

Was once a balanced and fun killer for both sides is now becoming weaker. And this is not about his recent nerfs. Those were good changes to stop tunneling. But the main thing that his making him weak is the new maps and new map variants. All new maps and variants have just been adding clutter everywhere, making it hard for wesker to use hit power. If your not a cracked wesker who can hugtech than good luck trying to get a hit. Remove clutters from these maps then wesker will be okay again.
The new variants are absolutely horrendous. Wesker can’t ready a bound in time at those small high wall loops to get a hit so he is forced to M1 as a 115 killer. Huntress can’t land hatchets because it takes too long to ready up and they can round the corner easy so she is forced to M1 as a 110 killer. They need to remove those map variants. The amount of added clutter is horrendous.
-
He’s a gold standard when maps aren’t full of garbage. New map variant Loops are too short and allow survivors to round corners before he can charge his bound. Huntress has a similar problem on the new maps where she literally can’t land a hatchet at these new variant loops because how short they are.
These new variants are very bad and abysmally survivor sided against certain killers. Not to mention throwing clutter everywhere gutting all ranged killers.
-
Yes they can leave the campfire. Survivors have done this several times throughout the lore of the game. There is even an entire cosmetic collection dedicated to a time survivors wondered through the fog away from the campfire for a carnival around the time the slow released.
-
I really don't understand why survivors didnt like the original finisher Mori. The number one complained about thing is being slugged out and the finisher Mori literally prevented it from happening entirley. If the killer downed everyone then the game ended. If they didnt down everyone then they all got to get up for free. Seems like it's more of an ego thing not to want the original finisher Mori because it removes the less than 1% chance of actually escaping the killer and getting revenge. So instead people would rather just be miserable for the majority of the time I guess.
-
@Neaxolotl said:
Finisher mori doesn't make slugging any better or worse, and there is no way we should get basekit unbreakable
There is absolutely no reason why killers shouldn't be able to slug for 4k, especially when every single aspect of the game ask for 4k

How is no one talking about this?
It's a massive buff that makes the stealth part of the game even less viable for survivors.
New tile designs plus this? You just supposed to rush gens then?
All scrach marks needed were color blind filters.
Will be meta like stretch rez was for survivor.
Scratch marks are NOT apart of being stealthy. Scratches are made to punish you for running which is not stealthy. If you want to stealth you walk or crouch.
This was a much needed change and the filters point is irrelevant as survivors have been able to see red stains THROUGH WALLS for years now. You can’t stop either side from sweating.
-
I would say if you could have your reaction or streamer reactions in there it will make people want to watch it more. Unfortunately people have very short attention spans and like big reactions to stuff like that to keep watching. Look at CoconutRts montage videos of going against streamers and then look at Max Dws normal montages. Even though Max is an insane Huntress people don't watch his non reaction ones that much compared to his others.
All in all great shots though, you even taught me about the desk shot in the crotus prenn ayslum that i never even thought about! Keep it up!
-
She honestly needs a small dash attack so she doesn't have to M1 at certain loops.

I just think it’s funny how no one had anything to say about distortion until weave attainment dropped. Once that with franklins became the killer META, now suddenly distoteitoj is an issue. Can’t have those unlimited aura reads on survivors getting countered now.
You are 100% completely wrong. Distortion has been an insanely debated topic for months now. Otzdarva and several other content creators have made videos on it, myself included. I think it belongs in the game but its aura negation should be 5-6 seconds. As it would still counter every single aura reading perk but if the killer is also using Lethal Pursuer then they would get 1-2 second aura reads instead of zero.
-
No lie though, All the perks killers have just really aren't that good anymore. I think Aura perks are the only ones left worth running honestly. Maybe pain Rez here and there. The rest are all either way to weak or situational.
-
The fact that you gain distortion stacks in AND out of chase is insane. It needs to be one or the other. Every single other perk is one or the other.
-
At least they come back for Christmas. I’ve been waiting almost 2 years for the Night Owl Huntress skin to come back from the rift😭 It’s the last outfit I need for her!

sorry if im confusing the terms im not as fluent in english😓
It's all good lol! The word you were meaning to use was crouch!
-
Not a big fan of the ONE good indoor map for Huntress being made to be awful for her. Long hallways were the only saving grace.
-
The main issue is that the two killers in the game that have to drop chase and go refill their power are abysmally slow and have nothing to fall back on. On TOP of having maps with bad locker spawns. At least they made Trickster 115 so he can wrap up a chase if he runs out of ammo. Nothing can be done to solve Huntress's issues without completely reworking half of the maps in this game because there is so much random garbage everywhere. Dredge's issues could be solved by more lockers though. Your idea might be the best way to implement it honestly.
-
I don't think a single survivor would want a buff for any killer unless the killer is at F Tier, or its the one killer that they dabble with.
-
The Pig has a crotch mode?😳
-
Monstrous Shrine is so terrible that no one will even think to pick it up, even with the changes. For taking up a whole perk slot it should be stronger. I think it should be 45 seconds to lose a stage. You already have to be 24 meters away, maybe could make it 32 meters to help disincentivize returning to hook.
-

Killers the easiest it's ever been you'll be fine
Facts though. Survivors were the power role for the first 6 years lol. Too bad the killers aren't as OP as survivors were back then. Well Nurse is.
-
Really just a big boost for smart survivors. Many times I have found myself hooking someone and then going to find someone else and 3 gens pop. I could usually return back to hook to secure a second stage or force a trade but now it will be more difficult. In those scenarios I’ll probably just force stage two and then tunnel them out immediately. I’m not buying the whole “punishing camping” because they already have base kit Anti Camp and they have Camaraderie and Reassurance which were made just for that reason.

Yeah it ended with a 7 man out
-
Definitely The Huntress! I bought every single cosmetic for her one day randomly because how much I liked her. I own every single cosmetic EXCEPT for the Night Owl skin that released in a rift almost 2 years ago that still hasn't been made available to buy yet. Although when the Hooked On You skin released for her I bought it immediately and have never taken it off ever since! That's my favorite by far.
-
I had the audacity to juice a wraith for 2 minutes straight and eventually went down, just for me to be humped for 2 minutes straight. I desperately tried crawling to the Huntress, so she could see the injustice and to get her to put me out of my misery and she ended up blowing my back out too, I ended up dying unfortunately. Turns out they were a duo, so there was never a chance of her finishing me off.
I usually don't care about being bm'ed honestly but it did feel bad for both killers to do it.

A Few Things I've Noticed Recently:
- Games where the Hatchet hits the survivor, and they grunt and no injury state or downed state. (This is without large ping)
- Huntress obviously not gaining any bloodlust in the 2v8 mode. (I have no idea if this happens on the normal mode at the moment, haven't tested)
- Inconsistent Starting chase like you said. I could be chasing a survivor around a loop <2 meters In front of me and the chase wont start
I have examples of all of these in my VODS on Twitch. It makes the games rough for 2v8 when people know about the lack of Bloodlust and just loop around the smallest rock for 1 minute and I just have to rely on base killer speed or Soldiers Putty to catch up.😥Yes, lack of bloodlust happens in 1v4 as well. That started when the Lara croft update came out. The hatchet hits not counting started when the new game engine released a few months ago. I would just run the normal speed around the loop unless you have only like two hatchets left lol, you could also just switch targets. The basekit soldiers puttee is nice though and honestly should just be permanent for her imo. Who knows how long it will take for it to get fixed, so I would just try to find better ways to work around it.
-
If you need a good Huntress for 2v8 I got you lol. That's the only killer I play so I don't have to worry about getting a bad Huntress on my team. She is the hardest of the 5 for a new player to get the hang of besides Nurse I think. But she is the only ranged killer available so a lot of people want to play her.
-
This has actually been happening for a while now even before 2v8. Inconsistent bloodlust, chases not starting, and terrible hit registration with her hatchets. The amount of times I have been cheated out of a hatchet hit is kind of staggering. She is very buggy right now.
-
She just got an outfit the other week. But I would just like to point out that Elodie has more outfits than Huntress despite Huntress being 3 years older and WAAAAAY more popular. I don't like how survivors get more outfits than killers on average.

Big brain 😆 trying to denote or insunate somehow that I don't have one. Hard for me to believe you're a 90% killer main. My reasons are reasonable and valid. In all my playtime of playing survivor I've never gotten not one rude not one attempt to joke or bully or harass me or hate messages in my inbox from any killer I've played against. But the moment I switched to killer I can not say the same for the survivors I've faced. Thank you for being the example I was making about the toxic and abnormal mentality. You can carry your half attempt to downplay me in any way way over that way somewhere else
I have genuinely zero clue what you are talking about. You absolutely just made up an entire narrative that I in no way shape or form made.
You believe what you want to believe but I am definitely a killer main and an insane Huntress with a YouTube channel to prove it.
Dont assume im attacking you when I never even talked to or about you in any way. I was commenting on somebody else’s comment because they had a very good take about how people should play BOTH sides so their opinions aren’t askew.

If both side has brain, survivors will win 100% of times, just that they don't really go play for win most of the time
Literally exactly right. I won roughly 27 out of 30 survivor matches so far. The only matches where I lost seems like goofy or just new survivors from the free to play weekend.
-
Its a free to play weekend so of course there will be very weak survivors.
-
@drsoontm said:

Big brain take over here. Im a 90% killer main but I always play survivor to keep up on what it feels like from the other side.

Because a lot of perks are based on the canon for the characters, not just how they work ingame.
Trapper is often depicted as being a tall, looming, but calculated figure who kills Survivors by planning ahead and with their brute strength. In a similar light, "Brutal Strength" comes from hit raw strength, and "Agitation" comes from brutality and desire to hook Survivors; in a sense, "Unnerving Presence" fits more into his character since their Terror Radius often means they are trapping or looming nearby.
It is also important to consider how older DBD was.
While their traps were brighter and took longer to set, maps were generally darker and addons could make your traps blend in very easily. Grass was also naturally higher, which made hiding traps much easier. A lot of Survivors also did not know how to loop, and good information perks did not really exist, so stealth was considered the main way to play the game. For those who did know how to loop, Trapper could shut down infinite loops whereas no other Killer could. Trapper was definitely not an insanely strong Killer, but they had a decent place in the game, especially compared to the old Wraith.
Outside of all of this. Unnerving Presence fits because Trapper is the poster-child for DBD. They are used on all of the advertising and are slapped everywhere, they have a presence that no other Killer really has in that regard.
I would say Trapper doesn’t really want to hook or kill survivors that much honestly. As he tried fighting theentity to not have ro do those things and is very at conflict with his brutal nature. Only killing the coal mine workers because they betrayed him.
Agitation is probably him wanting to end the trial as fast as possible so can take a break from it. That’s my guess.

You are not wrong. I've switched to survivor and if I escape about 2/3 of the matches, most of the ones I die is because about half the team is … how shall I put it … not exactly stellar.
As in …
- Missing skill checks
- Not healing after rescuing
- Never taking a protection hit
…
Whereas all the games I've survived the players had at least the basics right.
But on another hand, I've won every killer match where both killers were at least decent and lost every killer match where one killer was a beginner. We are far from the about 66/33% of my survivor experience.
I've versed all killers now and the most terrifying one is Huntress IMHO. Trapper is pretty dangerous too.
I've loved the killer team work btw. Getting downed by a running Billy who intercepted me at the end of my hit-sprint was beautiful.
There were several Nurse but none experienced enough to get me. (As a Nurse main, I tend to know how to break a chase)
Pretty much the exact same from my experience. I haven’t lost yet as killer though even with a very bad duo. I have an insane amount of hours on Huntress and she definitely cooks in this mode so I can hard carry most of the time. I did have a tie twice though because two of my killers were AFK.
-
I never thought about it like that😨 Thanks for the insight!
