WHy on earth weren't Trick Blades reworked? I'm not one to call many things in the game OP, but this add-on literally turns a killer that's already rather frustrating to play against, into something that no other killer can amount to, your only hope of not dying is literally just pure luck. I really do just want to know why this add-on was left unchanged.

What add on are you talking about? The only one I can think of being remotely close to over powered is the Waiting For You Watch since you can potentially down the whole team.

Edit: NVM lol idk how I missed that. That aren’t THAT op.

Do you see me arguing against gen slowdown? All Ive said in regards to that is an observation that gen rates are the slowest they ever have been (And I meant at base, not with perks). I dont care about gen slow down. Its been in the game since Ive started and Ive learned to adapt. Aura reading is fine in other circumstances, but it shouldnt be provided to the killer at the start of the match without any consequences.

Well you may not be but 95% of people are STILL complaining about it. How about instead of me adapting to all my perks getting nerfed, maybe survivors should adapt to having their aura read? Just a thought.

I dunno, man. Id love to get rid of Off the Record and Decisive Strike in favour of other perks, but despite being the most powerful killers have ever been, theyre still resorting to tunneling which forces me to use those two perks. The meta changes constantly. You either adapt or dont.

I don’t use aura to guarantee win games, I use them for fun. If I wanted to win I would use 4 slowdowns. It’s honestly ridiculous. If they gut aura reading every single Huntress will switch to 4 slowdowns because what other options does she have?

116 killer perks in the game, 21 Basic Attack perks, 8 Undetectable perks, 6 Perks that rely on terror radius size, 15 Hex related perks. 48 perks that are bad to use on Huntress. That’s not including the 11 haste perks that make her 115% for like 10 seconds. Almost half the perks in this game are below average on her.

Her top 5 most used builds are all full aura reading builds, and guess what’s after that? Gen slowdown. Pain Rez, Pop, Corrupt Intervention and NoEd in that order.

  • First we nerf slowdowns for the 4th time and now we want aura reading gutted next? What perks do you want me to use? Why does my fun not matter? Am I allowed to use 4 vault speed perks or is that too strong?

You know what happens when you get rid of Lethal Pursuer? Corrupt intervention happens. And you’ll see it every. single. game. And then that will get complained about and nerfed AGAIN.

There are NOT enough good or fun perks in this game to keep nerfing them. Not to mention I play Huntress who ALREADY can’t use 1/5th the perks in the game because M1 perks are trash on her and stealth perks are also garbage on her.

If aura reading gets nerfed I’m gonna have to go back to 4 slowdowns and idk if I can actually handle that. I don’t even know why I’m trying to stop it, it’s gonna happen regardless.

  • Ruin as it is now should be basekit. It’s not even close to being worthy of being a hex perk. The Last. Ruin and Undying was the healthiest meta this game had.

It encouraged killers to not camp so they got ruin value and it gave survivors a side objective or they could try to just power through gens. They should bring it back.

I'm just poking this again, can we get any sort of official statement on the status of the cosmetic contest? Even if its just a confirmation that it isn't happening this year?

  • @Brightened said:

I know killer players will be ENRAGED but it's a little ridiculous how frequently a killer can see us on the map.

Just now I went against a killer with Lethal, Darkness Revealed, and Barb/Chili.

Now all of the killer mains will come in here and be like "Run distortion then"

Yeah I was actually. All 3 tokens got taken immediately after the first chase the killer had.

Solution: Group perk types of survivors and killers and limit the number they can bring.

For example, a survivor doesn't need to have wire tap and chemical trap. A killer doesn't need to have all aura reading perks.

You do realize that you can hide in a locker and save tokens? BBQ should never be able to consume more than 1 token per game if you’re smart.

Also you get tokens in AND out of chase. Not to mention you can hide your aura behind generators too!

I didn't get any kills tonight, but several hits! I'm getting better. I got t-bagged bad at the exit gates.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/POIE9DBLF7OJ/20240605-225558.jpg

More hits is most important! You’ll be getting sick shots in no time! If you have access to bot lobby custom games, I highly recommend it. Since it will allow you to not have to think about winning and just worry about throwing mechanics. Of course real matches are important too!

Darn survivors😡 They were too afraid of you to do it during the game so they had to wait until there was nothing you could do.

  • I don’t think people Derank but smurfing absolutely. I seen a survivor holding still and the killer missed them 2 times and keep in mind the survivor has over 10,000 hours easy.

I’ve never ran into a player like that except when I was new and a few months ago when I made a video about smurfing. But I let all the survivors go in the end.

  • He honestly deserves to keep it after how bad his new collision is😭

(I must formally announce that the prior statement in which you have read is in all actuality a light hearted comedic remark and is in no way actually an indicator of what I really believe.)

  • Yes! You can use 4 BNPS on a generator PLUS Weaving Spiders to make it permanently reduced by 50 charges!

  • @CountOfTheFog said:

I just watched your chaos Shuffle match 😆

You can easily get a 4k with no auras.

Besides, if the sabotaging becomes a problem, you may have to start using Agitation, Iron Grasp and Mad Grit.

But aura is how I do my orbitals like my 4 orbitals in one match video. And they are very hard to do without aura not in doable but will require more practice. Not that I’m against it.

And I know I can win without aura perks! I never used to use aura perks tbh, but then I found out how much fun it is! And Gen regression is absolutely boring! And there are pretty much no other perks I like. And when I used to use 4 slowdowns I was unstoppable lol.

and that’s great to hear you are throwing hatchets! I have more time on Huntress on console than PC and while PC was very hard at first eventually the aiming feels way better and more precise than console. So don’t be discouraged if you struggle with hatchets!

  • @CountOfTheFog said:

Omg you are a sicko! I watched some of your Huntress videos.... Bro, stop with the aura perks! You're killing my Distortion 🤣

I also subscribed since I'm going to be playing a lot more Huntress soon! I got a Daily Ritual for her tonight. Time to show off my awesome Baby Yaga cosmetic in a regular lobby and see how I do playing to win🏆 for the first time since my 3k in Chaos Shuffle

NEVER!!! Yummy Nummy distortion stacks! I have 50+ more great Huntress videos ready to go but unfortunately I have to do different killers to get other people to watch stuff 😭 And thanks for Supscirbing!

And good luck! I hope you get many victories in your journey as an M1 Hunty! I believe in you!

I don't think it's totally unreasonable considering survivors almost have to bring certain perks to not be tunneled out immediately for example. At this point perks to me just seem like "what part of the game do you find most annoying? Here take these to make those things more tolerable". Which isn't a design philosophy I love but it is what it is, it's far to ingrained into design to go back now .

Except survivors got borrowed time basket to help. Mayne they should keep the sabotage changes and make agitation basket? That would be fair I think.

  • @Yharwick said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3734547#Comment_3734547

Must have missed a game then my bad, I wouldn't say you got every sabo you went for, at least once maybe twice it was clear you wanted to sabo but couldn't because you were injured and it was too risky or just not possible. But yes you are correct that if you're healthy you're probably guaranteed to get the sabo off now but that's just something killers have to play around now. If it wasn't possible to play around I'd agree it would be a problem but there are plenty of ways to do so as I previously listed.

I only couldn't get those 2 I was next to because they literally went down under hook lol and I actively decided not to try it. I might have been able to trade not to mention I wasn't using double speed. It definitely has counterpleas through Age and Franklins but I don't think bringing a perk solely to counter items is reasonable. Flashlights you can do 180 pickups and face walls. You can bring light born but you don't have too.

  • @Yharwick said:

First game you won just because you looped tf out of the killer I wouldn't say that was because of sabos.

Second game was a hatch escape so obviously didn't stop the Billy there.

Third game the killer legitimately played poorly, them trying to hit you at hook and then chase you while carrying was a massive misplay by them, if they had simply walked past you to the next hook while you were saboing they likely would have gotten the hook.

Basically I would say this showed what I expected which is saboing is not suddenly OP but rather the counterplay is no longer hitting the survivor at hook you now HAVE to bait the survivor into saboing the closest hook and ignore them and go to the next one. At least in soloQ, with dedicated sabo SWFs you might indeed have to slug more but still very counterable.

That being that there's a ton of perks to help killer with this like Knock Out, Agitation, Iron Grasp, Infectious Fright, Forced Hesitation all come to mind. Controlling the gens nearest to basement also seems good against it. Saboing is certainly more effective but I don't think it's at all the doomsday change some people make it out to be.

I didn't win the first game lol, my team let me die on hook. It's not about winning, every single sabotage I went for I succeeded and out of 14 I only got hit twice. That speed is in fact insane and I wasn't even using double speed either. Alex's toolbox is 100% a problem.

  • @C3Tooth said:

I was talking about Brown/Yellow toolbox without the sabo buff and addon, alot harder to pull off a sabo save which needed a buff. I never bring the old Eruption meta to prove how broken current gen regression, do I?

If the new sabo buff is broken, Devs will adjust them.

Somebody told me to tag you so I did lol, I had no idea what your stance was.

  • Being denied a hook is far more impactful than being denied a kick on a Gen.

  • @Valuetown said:

Your scapegoat of flashlights really doesn't matter when half the maps are just walls and all you have to do is turn your camera into them 😀

FR tho, I've seen it 5 out of the 9 games I've played today. I also take it you didn't read my post considering I said I'd rather go against 4 slowdown. Try reading the whole thing next time!

Your point about walls is irrelevant lmao. I never said they were uncounterable I said it was unfun. Just like you said Franklins and Weave is unfun. Because you and I both know the Franklins and Weave combo is obviously very counterable. It’s called W key! If you leave the radius it doesn’t show your aura anymore!😅

And I’m sure you’re fine going against 4 slowdowns now after they got gutted but I’m sure you still complain about them! If I had to guess I would easily make the assumption that you thought the Adrenaline nerf was unfair and unneeded and you though Buckle Up + FTP was a fair combo and you think that 200% BGP was completely fair and balanced! So…. am I right or am I right? 😂

PS: Flashbang says hello because it can’t be countered by looking at walls😀

  • And I find flashlights incredibly unfun to play against. So we can remove what you want if we also remove what I want! 😀

FR tho, complaining about a super niche and barely used combo is strange. I’m guessing you would rather go against 4 slowdowns?

  • I have had multiple 2-3 man outs when I play as him, but I don’t use gen slowdown as I find it super boring.

  • It’s almost like Bhvr was working on a fix for that💀 Since they aren’t going to remove indoor maps and half of the other maps in the game with so much clutter they were gonna speed her up to help out but it got axed for no reason💀

It’s also funny that Billy and Bubba have higher win streaks when people try to say they are more map dependent🤔 Every new piece of evidence points to the fact that she should not be moving at 77% when holding a hatchet.

I bet money that when the new kill rates come out she will still be in the bottom 5. Even with the amount of people who throw on hook against her.

  • @Pulsar said:

    I should think he's higher.

Clown has a four hundred something game win streak.

400 on clown is crazy💀 I wonder why Huntress can never get a streak anywhere close to that high?🤔

    hmmmmm…..

That list I was looking at is definitely outdated then because it has clown at 80 something

  • @TerraEsram said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3734063#Comment_3734063

Nah, I was trying her myself, since this PTB was where Amanda got a little buffed, it was somewhat important for me, but you are right, if the shiny pin was a little changed instead the speed of Huntress… I'm okay with that

I don't think Trikster can be used as a good example, since he need 6 hit with his knife to get value, because Clown, when aiming or throwing, don't get any difference with his base speed

You are right, if they change de shiny pin instead of the new speed from Huntress, she even get now two new add-on where she get +2% and 3% speed for 5 second after hitting a survivor

Trickster does need to land 6 knives but that is very easy to do not to mention he has a main event with infinite ammo lol. Not to mention he can down a survivor before they can use their on hit speed boost💀 He has less counter play than Huntress because you have to dodge 44 knives and a main event. There is a reason why people hate him lol.

They could honestly get rework those belts too. They are essentially useless, 3% haste for 5 seconds; 1.9 seconds spent on cooldown making it 3.1 seconds of haste at 113% speed. And if you try to throw another hatchet you’ll be moving at 80% for 2 seconds instead of 77% They are inferior to shiny pin in every way excepts orbitals/ snipes

Flower, Haft, GC and SP will always be the smarter options over the belts. 10 seconds of haste would be worth it, she’s only 110% so it wouldn’t be crazy, but that’ll never happen.

  • Leatherface is an insta down killer. He should have harsher downsides. Honestly they way overbuffed him by reducing the collision and tantrum timer. It should’ve just been the speed and duration increases.

  • It was on the roadmap to be changed a while ago but I think they decided not to change it which is unfortunate.

  • @TerraEsram said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3734039#Comment_3734039

It's funny to know that people complaining about something in the PTB don't touch it… Our profil is not linked at the game? So like that, the dev can see if people are really testing the PTB or not?

Anyway, I was trying her in the PTB where she got that, and, even if we can't say that, with that, she become THE best killer in the game, She had nevertheless become a powerfull killer, but not in a good way
I don't see Huntress like a killer who are very strong at chase, but more… the best ranged killer, she aim, she throw and hit the survivor miles away, or trying to push the survivor were he can't dodge the hatchet
With this kind of buff, around shack, she can just run after the survivor, aiming… And the survivor have practically no way to get in a good spot for him, instead of Blight, Nurse or Cat food, where you can dodge a good player
A good huntress, can hit you even without line of sight

She’d definitely be stronger but not insane by any means. You probably watched the clip where they were using Shiny Pin on the PTB which made her move at 93% which was way overpowered and absolutely insane. But they could’ve easily changed shiny pin to do something different and toned her speed down a touch.

That would’ve been far more reasonable than outright reverting the changes. Trickster moves at 96% when holding knives default and moves at 99% when using 2 add ons together and no one cares about that even though people hate that killer.

And some people have their accounts linked and some don’t as well as the fact they probably don’t have the time to check everyone’s accounts lol.

  • @TerraEsram said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3733981#Comment_3733981

This times when she get a 3.5m/s in the PTB? I kinda understand why, with that, you have practically no way to dodge one hit, hatchet or M1, lot of main Huntress was against this part

Yes the movement speed. She was still the slowest killer in the game when holding hatchets besides walking nurse. They didn’t even try to tone it back or push it to live and watch kill rates. There is a reason why shiny pin has an insane pick rate and that’s because 77% is too slow and outdated.

They literally said they reverted it because of outrage only. Several of the people I talked to who made posts about it being to strong didn’t even play the PTB and test it and never went against it because they were console players and don’t have access to the PTB.

Honestly they could’ve forgotten the increased hatchet count and wind up speed as those weren’t her main problem. But I knew the buffs wouldn’t go over well because people had a literal meltdown when Huntress and Tricksters reload speed got decreased by one second.

I don't think Trickster is 36… Considering the guy that ended Hens' last streak was a Trickster I would assume the guy is good enough to make it to 200 and above.

The most updated streak sheet I could find was 36 but it’s a year old

  • Essentially just made it go from 3 slowdowns with 1 unique perk to a guaranteed 4 slowdowns. No surprise there.

  • Because certain killers are better than others? It should be obvious really. The highest SWF Escape is 383 and was ended by a stream sniping nurse.

What’s the highest Huntress streak? 101 if I remember right. Tricksters is 36, Slingers is 35. It depends on the killer and survivors. If Nurse didn’t exist those survivors maybe could’ve hit 1,000 but she is just insane.

  • @TerraEsram said:

    @HexHuntressThighs
I think, it's not the same than the other killer or other meta
Leatherface, even with this massive buff, can be dodged with the same technic than before, just, they need now to be less greedy

When you take, Vecna, where he can use his power and hit you right after with a basic attack (double hit), or the other, you have more some "injustice", who get people mad
Plus, actually, they are more against people who hard tunnel right away for no reason, don't think if old killer get a massive buff is a problem for them, look Billy, he got a massive buff, he become one of the best killer in the game, "nobody" cry about, even people are so happy about that
If more killer get this kind of buff, it mean more killer you go against , and not only Blight/Nurse/wesker

Except for when they buffed Huntress and people raged about it until it got reverted. They only kept some of them. The move speed increase would’ve made her high A tier but nobody wanted that I guess. People would rather play against Nurse, Blight and Wesker 24/7 I guess

Slinger definitely doesn’t require more skill than Huntress lmao. Only when it comes to aiming, that’s it.😂

  • @Archol123 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/416250/my-theory-on-why-they-updated-blight

I really would not call it optimized… Before you had some form of control on whether you wanted to bump or not, now you just bump… That's not optimizing, that's dumbing down mechanics to make them more player friendly for newer players, but limiting experienced ones at the same time.

Also if the wanted to rework the realm, why could they not just redo the collision of objects? It has been more than just visual reworks, so redoing the collision is probably a given, therefore I don't think you are correct there.

His new collision is honestly awful

  • Strange how the gave him god tier buffs and only minister buffs to slinger. Bubba quite literally doesn’t require high skill any more as looping is insanely easy now and if you somehow manage to hit a wall it’s basically just a weapon wipe animation. All of this on an insta down killer is insane.

I genuinely find survivors to be very strange because none of them complained about it at all. I literally can’t figure them out.

  • They may have the right, YOU do not. Not unless you know the reason.

This topic might not be allowed for multiple reasons, but I’m willing to take a hit.

Can now confirm it's indeed 95 employees, as per this announcement:

    https://media.bhvr.com/behaviour-interactive-implements-strategic-changes-for-future-growth

I’ve already seen multiple now ex-BHVR employees confirm that they were laid off.

    https://twitter.com/the_mermae/status/1798014938486841681?s=46&t=MOM9e-MaWyIGCyqm4Ri7dw

I don’t know of any major ‘faces’ as of writing but that may change as more news develops, as they say. Regardless, QA or Community, such layoffs are outrageous.

Needless to say, I am deeply disappointed.

You really don’t have any room to talk about this topic honestly. You have no idea why they were laid off and have no clue if it’s outrageous.

ESPECIALLY with how bad inflation and the economy has been getting sometimes costs have to be cut. It’s unfortunate but the company is running a business NOT a charity case. It’s definitely unfortunate for people to lose their jobs but let’s not act like they got let go for zero reason when we have no clue why. Nor do we have any right to know.

You said it was “strange” that there was no video evidence and just complaints about patch notes. This insinuates that it does not happen, whether that’s what you meant or not is moot.

There are other people on here defending a ridiculously strong change and acting like it’s insignificant. And I was going to make the video regardless, but needless to say it’s absurd what I did to that poor killer as a solo Queue and not very good survivor.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3733209#Comment_3733209

    Not really?

10% isn't going to make or break a 3-gen when the Killer can erase 5% with a kick, not of the Invocation progress but still.

Being injured the entire game isn't a problem if you have a four-man SWF ready to die for you and/or you are a competitive Survivor. For 99% of the playerbase, being injured the entire game is BAD.

That's why you don't see No Mither, BECAUSE IT'S BAD

You don’t see no Mither because it is bad with zero upside as the killer knows you can pick yourself up infinitely.

10% off of a Gen definitely helps as it makes other Gen regression perks less effective as well. You said yourself you aren’t good at survivor. Just because you can’t use something that well doesn’t mean it’s bad. I could never use dead hard right for like the first year it came out and it was an objectively great perk. Or maybe I’m just better than most? I highly doubt it.

I have used it many times to great effect. Sometimes escaping and never dying first. Besides you don’t always have to use it instantly and can still be valuable halfway through the game.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3733107#Comment_3733107

It is still a noob trap perk.

seems great, isn't time efficient nor is it worth the risk. Being one-hit for the entire trial is horrific and is almost nevnever worth it.

Noob trap yes. Time efficient also yes. 60 seconds for 10% on 7 gens is much better than 70% on one gen. Great for helping break 3 gens. Being broken all game is only a huge downside if you are terrible at hiding or your team makes severe mistakes forcing you to go unhook a camping survivor.

It really is a good perk. Not great but definitely good.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

I thought I see some gameplay where they are actually used against you, but no, only a complaint about the Patchnotes.

I have not seen sabo-toolboxes once yesterday. For something which seems to be busted (according to the Forums), quite odd.

Don’t worry I’ll tag you in a video I’m making where I denied the killer from hooking so many times they completely gave up on hooking! It was sad and I hated to do it to the poor killer but I had to demonstrate how OP it is.

I’ll comment here and tag you when I upload it after work today!😬

  • What’s to talk about? The fact they made it to live is insane because for some reason killers didn’t care that survivors were unhookable on the PTB when toolboxes got brought.

I loaded up some yesterday with Alex’s toolbox, cutting saw and grip wrench and stopped six hooks in a match. Saboing 2 hooks every time. Used Saboteur to see all hook locations, background player to get in front of the killer and sabo without taking a hit and the ran in front of them to the next hook and saboed that as well.

Used breakdown to create a huge dead zone since it takes 3 minutes to come back and Built To Last to keep getting my tool box back. The only possible counter play is Agitation and even then that doesn’t stop the first sabo with BGP

I will say I got brutally tunneled out every single time and slugged very often.

  • @Pulsar said:

    No, it is not.

It is very much a great perk if the person who uses it brings a build for it and is good at looping. 7 Brand new parts in 60 seconds is insane.

Invo, OTR, Iron Will and Sprint Burst is a good build. Maybe swap Iron for DS since you’ll most likely get tunneled.

the whole point of 77% m/s is to time your throws at opportune moment. the killer that have faster m/s have faster m/s because they either have no timing OR they have different restrictions to their ability. Like plague has 110% m/s because her projectile is not 1000 m/s and she doesn't have ability at 100% up time. Artist has more m/s because she need to hit people twice and she needs to place birds before being able to fire them. Trickster has higher m/s because he takes more hits = longer time to damage. Xeno has 6 meter distance tail. Slinger is only that has comparable stats but he has additional drawbacks such as 1 ammo and a tiny spear hitbox that believe or not matters a lot in being able to side-step projectiles. PH has somewhat restrictive turning in his ability and his attack has slow travel time.

So no, her M/S when holding hatchet is in line with other killers.

Every killer you mentioned is 115% except slinger which more than makes up for their restrictions. If Huntress was 115% I would agree with you but she isn’t. She is 110 AND 77% so no it doesn’t make much sense.

Of all the killers you mentioned the majority of them use their powers as anti loop and Huntress can’t use her hatchets as anti loop at nearly half of the loops in the game. There are too many high wall loops/ shoulder height loops/ small but high rock loops that she can’t get hits at because she moves so slow AND vocalizes her attack. If you ready a hatchet and a survivor doesn’t drop (they won’t 99% of the time) you’ll give them an extra 2-3 loops and add 15 seconds to the chase instead of just taking the stun and moving on.

And unlike the other killers you mentioned she is the ONLY one who has to drop chase and go reload at poorly positioned lockers. Besides Trickster lol. That ALONE is reason enough for her to be 115%.

Huntress doesn’t need any more buffs

Definitely needs basekit to be 115% but I know no one is ready to have THAT conversation

    Why exactly does this matter?

Distance isnt an issue if you are using a Fully Charged Hatchet anyways considering the fact that you most use those if the Survivor is far away (or you are holding to zone).

Most of the time you dont really use Fully Charged Hatchets in situations where distance actually matters… the only case where it would matter is zoning, but Survivors lose distance by trying to avoid the Hatchet throw anyways.

That first point isn’t true at all, unless you’re going for arc shots over walls or the survivor is getting close to a LOS breaker you almost always want a fully charged shot as they are far harder to dodge.

And survivors don’t lose any distance when trying to dodge they just gain less. She moves at 77% when holding so survivors are 23% faster. So they will gain a very significant amount of distance if you hold too long but if they are trying to dodge they will gain slightly less.
