I think hillbilly would be more fitting to have antlers and a red glowing nose.
That’s what I said but if the man wants Rudolph nose Meg that’s okay too

But...

No. Give one of the Survivors that nose.
Alright the survivor can have the nose, but and just hear me out snowman doctor and krampus oni.

That would be a really nice touch honestly. Only for the holiday season, and you can pick your tune.

Is a valid strstegy as long as survivors can do their objective in 5 mins even less why can't the killer do his objective fast?
They can, if you think they can’t then you’ve obviously never played solo survivor

Neither is particularly fun for the other side, but employing the most optimal (legal) tactics in order to complete your objective is always okay, no matter what role you're playing.
Anyone who tells you that one is okay and the other isn't is operating to a double standard.
If too many gens pop too fast I start looking through chests and other stuff. Maybe stare at the moon, if the killer wasn’t playing like a douche. If they were ######### em I’m popping gens. Blood must have blood.

Because it was a term that had to be made up when a pre-existing term could not actually apply to the situation at hand.
I mean proxy and camping are two different things but similar in nature. Proxy means the killer just loops around the hook area until survivors show up, and camp is basically just right there at the hook within like 0-10 feet at all times. There’s an exceptional amount of killers and survivors who can’t fathom what strategy is outside of hooks. Whether It be waiting for hook chases, or forgetting everything else for an unhook. So like if I’m hooked in an area of the map the killer will stay in that square of the grid until someone shows up. I’m not complaining, I’m just saying they’ll literally not leave(either side). You can throw the match for yourself either way on either side by doing this. Then both sides scream about the consequences of what happens when you play like this. Forehead.

@TAG said:

To me personally, "proxy camping" is a far less legitimate term than "gen rushing" simply based on the fact that they can't actually call it just camping.
Why do you think it’s less legitimate?
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/906185#Comment_906185
The fact that the Survivors' primary goal is to do gens ASAP does not mean gen rushing is not a thing; it means that Survivors are kinda forced to gen rush for the most part because it is the most optimal thing to do.
I mean what else would a smart survivor do? Most killers proxy hooks now days anyways. Doesn’t matter if they are viable or not , still proxy. It’s sad to see.
-
I with all intended purpose, went in thinking this challenge would suck but I just ended up with an afk wraith on my first try.
-
Wow gen camping lol. You can beat 3 gen strats it just takes time. It all comes down to who is the most patient. Anyways you had no real reason to leave a 3 gen area, they did it to themselves after all.

So what you’re saying if you’re playing survivor you should never survive, no matter how well you play otherwise the killer is weak? 👌

@LordGlint @DudeDelicious mmhmm exactly. if they can pet them, then I want the ability to shoot arrows at other survivors and put them into dying ,Bc that’s how useful they’re being. I imagine petting crows would be the only thing that would bring Claudette’s and killers together.

You're clearly survivor biased, running BT, DS unbreakable and Dead hard/Sprint burst is literally the most tryhard build you can use when playing survivor. And I dont hang around hooks, what do you think I am, a rank 13?
Knowing that killers also have strong perks, and being able to see that those were clearly no slugging and no tunneling perks that would of gave someone an advantage if only you were doing those two things makes me survivor biased? 👌

Wow okay. No need to be rude. You said it was useless to do without SWF but I've done it plenty of times so I assumed you were talking about a situation of trying to sabo a hook from beginning when someone gets picked up.
If I ever did sabo a hook, I'd usually do it by the gate for end game or next to a hook by a gen. I don't just randomly do hooks for the sake of it. It's not completely useless to do, you can get lucky.
It’s too luck based to do it alone. I’ve tried it several times, it’s not worth the amount of time you throw away as a SOLO. I would do what you did, these survivors would see me sabo the hooks and still run somewhere else to go down. You can be incredibly strategic about it ,which hooks, but even you nor I can fix stupid. There’s not enough tool box or time to compensate for it. Do it with one other person and you’ll see what I mean by for it to be effective. Bc the difference between solo sabo and duo or more is mind blowing
-
just Walk to the hook

So? You want crouch walking nerfed now too?

@karatinac97 said:

Have you never 99% saboed a hook? It's a very viable strategy. I've done it before but it wastes alot of time so I rarely do it.
How else do you sabo a hook without being a moron about it, of course I 99 The hooks. Even then there’s so many that if you’re doing it solo it’s almost pointless if the killer is any good, you’re not getting enough of them 99 in time alone for it to be useful. You need atleast 2 ppl doing it.
-
@karatinac97 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/904539#Comment_904539
Or maybe they're just trying to stop their team mate getting hooked?? That's literally it. You may as well be asking why people sabotage hooks when the killer is carrying a player to said hook...
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't but you may as well try. That's all there is to it. I very rarely body block the killer in this way but the last time I did it, was to save a tunneled Dwight on his last hook and it worked.
most of the time not, only if you’re a 4 man and sabo some of the hooks in the area, otherwise it’s useless Bc all the hooks are so close together. You ever tried to sabo without atleast one other person helping? Absolutely pointless. Only viable in swf. You need a perk build for wiggling plus someone to take hits 99% of the time to get off the shoulder.

None of those perks/perk combinations is even close as strong as a sweaty swf with these perks.
Looks like you’re sweating just as hard. Probably got all the gens done Bc you were hanging out around the hooks and costing yourself the game Bc you didn’t evolve in the match. Bc you would of saved yourself so much time and won had you not.
-
@Helevetin_nopee said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/905147#Comment_905147
Because of the sweaty SWFs. A well coordinated (dont know if I wrote that right) SWF will go through the gens insanely fast, and theres not much the killer can do. And what would you consider "the strongest perks" for killer? Because how I see it now is that the meta for rank 1 killer is to slow down the gen speed as much as possible.
ruin(Bc it’s strong if you can’t find the totem Bc survivors don’t know how to act), devour, obsession perks, bbq, pgtw, make your choice, nemesis with PWYF then they shove them on the strongest killers with the best to really good addons. This is honestly a don’t tunnel or slug build on every single one of them Bc that’s what survivors face 95% of the time.
-
anyways I see a total of 12 perks that would of been completely useless had you not been proxy hook chasing
-
@Helevetin_nopee said:
I understand playing with your friends to have FUN, mess around with the killer etc. But where is the fun when every one of you is running the strongest perks in the game and you're trying to escape as fast as possible?

That's not how averages work. 3K don't happen on average until it reaches 75%
It’s still closer to 3k Bc 2k would b 50%. 70%means almost always 3k Highly less likely 2k. Anyways patch 4.6 all survivors crawl. Survivors op please nerf.
-
Tell that man to put that bunny mask on right now.
-
Hang in there it gets more fun once you start ranking up, or don’t either way they’re not fixing camping. The killers are new too and also figuring out what to do also. In higher ranks believe it or not still camping , they’re just better at it. You’ll wish you were back at that rank Bc you can get away with so much more and it’s so much easier while significantly less fun at beginner ranks.

There are very few maps and even fewer spots on those maps that lead to drop only areas. Taking this into account; most of the time you have the choice of where to run during a chase and if you choose to run to those areas or are even just herded there you have no one else to blame for the stagger hit but yourself. If this was in a lot of maps in a lot of places I could see your point, but there just aren't enough places where this can be an issue currently.
And a big difference between the flashlight blind saves and stagger hits is choice. You can usually choose to avoid the falls but killers can't really choose where to down someone. They can choose to risk the pick-up but then the survivor can crawl to an even better spot, etc... The point is you have much more choice as a survivor over the stagger hits than you do flashlight blinds.
We’ll just agree to disagree Bc I honestly don’t feel like going into a verbose debate about this, Bc we can go back and forth for days. I understand your side, but there’s another side and other instances and situations. The staggerless plus the boost is only an issue in a few spots Bc the infinites, we both know this. They can take out the stagger but you’re still going to get infinite’d Bc the boost. We are going to get a lot more cheese drop slaps that’s about it, slow clap. See how the issue still isn’t fixed? Now you’re going to get the bl user down np before they can even use their perk at literally every other map and probably even the infinities Bc the no stagger is gone now unless they’re just already chilling upstairs for a quick drop.

That's where we differ. I don't view it as bs. The killer is in a 1v4 situation, there are going to be things they do better than survivors. It HAS to be this way otherwise we just get bully squads running around. The whole point of perks is running some to enhance your strengths or bolster what you perceive as weaknesses. The old BL did both at the same time with literally no downside and was miles ahead better than other exhaustion perks except for DH.
That’s why I said take out the sprint burst instead but leave stagger reduction. I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree Bc it’s not even about being 4v1 or 1v1 but a bigger thing that just seems like complete bs Bc you’re completely unable to do anything about being staggered and sometimes you have to jump. It feels about as good as when survivors could blind you in pick up animation, which isn’t good at all. It’s cheap.
-

You want to talk about being stuck in animations...
when that is literally how you flashlight blind/pallet stun killers...
It makes sense for an entity fueled creature to be able to not stagger from falls while a human survivor would be much more realistic to have stagger from a height drop.
I think the flashlight stuns and pallet stun timers are bs too if you want me to be real honest about it. I’m not playing tit for tat. I want them to fix the maps, Bc getting hit Bc a killer doesn’t have stagger and you do is complete bs and literally the only reason the perk was worth running.
-
@BruhMoment said:

If you plan ahead accordingly or weigh your options, during chase, appropriately, you will not get hit at any drop down. You can either avoid the drop down by leading them somewhere else, or you can make sure you aren't exhausted before the next chase. A drop down isn't unavoidable during a chase, you choose the path you run through. If you let the killer catch up to you before you drop, you deserve to get hit as you didn't choose the best route to take during the chase.
I’ve played killer enough to know that I’ve certainly got that extra hit and drop swing Bc the survivor was stuck in stagger animation. It’s not hard to be on a survivors ass because of it after a drop Bc it’s not hard when they are STUCK IN ANIMATION. They are cheesy hits. It’s poor map design. Now the burden is just placed on survivors instead of fixing the issue.
-
@coppersly said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/889816#Comment_889816
And it's ok for survivors to have free infinite loops that are extra safe just because of one perk?
Survivors shouldn't be able to 1v1 the killer, especially because of 1 busted perk and bad map design.
I literally said fix the maps, neither is okay.
-
@coppersly said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/889743#Comment_889743
That's the big problem though. I do think having it become just a passive landing reduction perk would be alright if it was small enough and if maps were balanced for it, but they aren't.
They already have to go through the older maps and redo all the tiles and functions just to update it for the general health of the game. If they have to go through them again and make sure they can have a perk like Balanced Landing be passive it'll require so much more effort and time and money they don't have or want to use on the game.
okay so survivors will just get hit at any drop down now for the one perk that fixed that bs issue👌much more fun and balanced for both sides wouldn’t you say? I suppose they could just make it where a killer can’t swing or get a hit while the survivor is in a stagger animation it’s just void. YA KNOW KIND OF LIKE HOW YOU CANT GET BLINDS WHILE THE KILLER IS IN A PICK UP ANIMATION.
im not angry at you, and understand what you mean but damn man. This is some bs.
-
Just gonna be honest with how I feel about it, it’s bs that the killer can hit you on the way down at the drop Bc you stagger at the bottom without the consistent passive. I’d rather have the passive alone than the sprint burst and they fix the ######### maps.

im also not playing any more until survivors get actual love instead of this crap they keep feeding us. Don’t get me wrong I want killers to have cool stuff and get buffs, but not at the expense of survivors.
-
I feel you, I’m sick of all the nerfs on both sides mostly survivor nerfs, but idc about broken things they’re fun. Unfortunately playing survivor now feels like by update 4.6 all survivors crawl while killers have one shot with instant gen teleportation. Wait though there’s killers who feel like a drag to play, that didn’t get the love they needed, and maps still broken. I’m honestly more pissed at myself for the amount of grind I put into this game to get a bunch of Ever growing ######### tier perks,while the decent ones get stomped on, and lobby dodges or tunneled when I even try to bring an item I bought from the bloodweb.
